Zimbabwe once again showed that Zimbabwe have much better players than Bangladesh. Bangladesh is playing so bad than before which is beyond words. I don't understand why they are losing so many times to Zimbabwe. It seems that Bangladeshi players lack a lot of experience and Bangladesh has a lot to learn from Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe had world class players.. but that was two decades back. Back then they had Andy Flower, Tatenda Taibu, Andy Blignaut, Heath Streak, Dougie Marillier, Alistair Campbell, Neil Johnson and Murray Goodwin. But then Robert Mugabe and his government started harassing the white residents and most of them moved to countries such as Australia and England. After that Zimbabwe has been on continuous decline. Why do you think that India can't win any major ICC tournament in the coming days? We have the Asia cup lined up in a few days' time and I thought India will be the favorite here. If not India then whom do you think will win this Asia Cup  Pakistan's team is not consistent while the rest of the teams are too weak to lift the Asia cup. Asia cup is scheduled in such a way, as to maximize the number of India vs Pakistan matches. There will be a minimum of two encounters between these two, and most possibly three. ACC got this opportunity after so many years, and they want to maximize the revenue. And they know that there will be a lot of excitement in India, after the recent loss to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. The only thing that I don't like about Asia cup is that there are only 6 participants. They could have included two more associate teams. I think this asia cup is more about the India and Pakistan matches rather than anything else. One of these two teams will be the winner of this season but as of now it's hard to pick one of them to be the sure shot winner. Also, i disagree to include more small teams as it also decreases interest in the tournament with a lot of one sided matches. Fewer but relatively good teams are better for this tournament. I feel that both India and Pakistan have an equal chance of winning the Asia cup, but what’s more important is that this may be the final opportunity for Virat to perform or he’ll perish. Lastly how many of you’ll think that Virat can bounce back, or do you’ll feel that it’s the end of his career and he should immediately be axed if he fails to perform?. |

Just by looking at those stars on their shirts you can see greatness, Brazil gave birth to players that helped changing the world of football and make it the way it is right now, I can't name another country that has stars (I mean players not tge stars on their shirt) as many as Brazil have in their history and till now, this could be another year for Brazil to add another star to their shirt.

It's not a huge surprise that Man.united lost because some players from the squad simply have no chemistry between them and some don't even want to have when they are in the pitch and from here , the entire game of the team will suffer. Even if it was the first game , they basically didn't score at all and they barely had any great chances...so I'm super skeptical again on Man.United season.
It isn't surprising to see Man United lose, but I am very surprised to see Man United starting lineups. I don't know what Erik ten Hag thinks of Man United starting lineups, he put Varane and Ronaldo on the bench but put Maguire on the starting lineups. This makes Man United defense becomes very weak as Maguire never performed well and Martinez still needs time to adapt to Man United other players. While the attacking line of Man United, has no pure center forward. So, Man United attacking line has no power without a CF like Ronaldo. In my opinion, one of the reasons why Man United lost in this match is the wrong lineups used by Ten Hag. I think Leandro Paredes is determined in this regard because indeed he realized when he stayed even though he had another year on his contract he would only be on the bench for one season because of the intense competition there. It would be better if he left as soon as possible.

ImhoIf I were to score based on transfer activities, I believe Manchester United and Chelsea are still behind the other top five teams. Chelsea had some of their targets snatched away by Barcelona, while Manchester United has been waiting for FDJ for almost a month now since they agreed €85m with Barcelona last month, and they appear to be the only two clubs still active in the market. Chelsea have signed 18-year-old Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, bid £50 million for Cucurella, and are in direct talks with Barcelona to hijack the FDJ deal in the last 24 hours. It's going to be a hectic few days leading up to the official start. Still wondering how Forest were able to sign 12 players in a one single window. That's crazy. Based on the performance of each team's transfers, I would say that Arsenal has been the most successful club in this regard. I have to say I have not been very impressed with Erling Haaland. At least not so far. I know he’s a competent player but it feels like he will take a period of time to get settled in the team. I have to say that I haven't actually liked PSG as a team so far because the harmony or the teamwork just never worked for me. But yesterday's game against Nantes was really great and the players played really well together. Maybe they are finally ready and will be a favorite for the CL too? Pogba at this point has two options. Either opt for a surgery, which will put him out of action for two to six months, or undergo therapy that will ensure his return by the end of September. He has made his choice, and will be avoiding the surgery. But I don't know how things will work out in the long run. Pogba has basically gone for a short term fix, for a long term issue. I just hope that the therapy is successful and his (meniscus) injury doesn't get any worse. He shouldn't destroy his career just because he is adamant on participating in Qatar 2022.
Agreed, surgery may take long term for him to recover but it may give a good impact for him rather than doing therapy. I've said this before. ICC is going to be caught with their pants down when powerful franchises move their pieces on chess board -IPL franchise-. It's already started happening with all franchise diversifying their investments in different leagues.

Completely agreed. Cricket is rapidly shifting from a country-based structure to a franchise-based structure. This happened with football many decades ago. Anyway, I am not going to mourn about the death of bilateral cricket. Apart from a few exceptions, it has become too boring. The pig-4 may still continue with the bilateral games. But if franchise cricket becomes even more popular, then smaller boards such as WICB, CSA and BCB will find difficulty in forcing the players to give preference to the national team instead of the franchises. I don't care about white ball bilateral cricket either (i'm satisfied with T-20, ODI wc after 2 and 4 years) but yeah if new setup affecting test format then there may be some outcry from the old guards. Although we have to wait more as jury still out on this new realities, it's going to be very painful for the cricket boards but players would be biggest beneficiary. I personally feel that this is a right step, because not all boards can afford to pay their player’s or give them the platform too grow and if these franchise’s pay these player’s then I see nothing wrong with it. Furthermore I expect many ex and current player’s to revolt against this plan, but in the long run I feel that it’ll do wonders for the cricket world. However there’s just one point bothering me, what if this move increases match fixing which we often feel happens in IPL, what do you think about this?. |
