1521  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be carefull Newbies! Fake exchange promocodes scams on: August 17, 2020, 08:06:22 AM
Nowadays, especially in the crypto space, treat the word free as a warning.

Thank you for such a meaningful advice. Short but strong advice. I do not know why people go after freebies like monies are free online. Nothing meaningful is free. You have to do something to earn money, even if it is your time as an investment. People should be very careful downloading apps or clicking on links. They may contain malwares. Also the exchange the OP mentioned is not one of the credible exchanges on the coinmarketcap site.
1522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a Fake Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2020, 11:08:33 PM
Yes there're so many Fake Bitcoin (e.g. Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin SV) all you need is stay away and don't invest in these coins.

Read more : How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!!
That something is a fork does not mean it is a fake. I will not consider those you mentioned as fake because they have their own programmes too and in some way have enhanced the entire cryptocurrency industry too whether we admit it or not. Also, a fake bitcoin will bear the same name as bitcoin without a prefix or suffix.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Curve DAO Token] Be careful with this project lost ~0.17BTC ~ $2000 trading it. on: August 16, 2020, 04:53:11 PM
From the picture you have up in your first post, it shows you bought at above $10 per coin, am I right? And your selling price was less than $7. It is a huge loss looking at the quantity you bought. It is a pity. I hope you recover your loss from other trades soon. Sad, but this is one of the bad sides of trading.
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to decide on: August 16, 2020, 04:27:18 PM
Trying adding an exchange token to your portfolio, exchange tokens have a long term use case that can't go wrong, their value will keep growing, for example

1. BNB Token
2. OkB Token
3. HT token

These coins will survive for a long period of time because they are exchange tokens and top exchanges too, BNB token belongs to binance exchange and OKB belongs to OKEX while HT belongs to Huobi exchange

I agree with you that exchange coins have durability and demand but these coins you listed are already high to buy. Buying them now will be like chasing on the price. We have Prob, Tidex, Birtue and they all are exchange coins far below a $1. You can buy them now and keep to see them grow like BNB in the future.
1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If someone mistakenly sent you 1 ETH, what would you do? on: August 15, 2020, 06:01:57 AM
Ethereum is becoming extremely popular nowadays with the rise of "De-Fi" apps and stablecoins. Most people are just into it in order to make a lot of money in the shortest time possible. Since they're newcomers into crypto, they can easily make mistakes when sending coins from one address to another. Now, imagine if you check your wallet and it has 1 ETH sent to you by a mysterious address. At current rates, that would be an average of $400 (USD) in your pocket.

What will you do if someone accidentally or mistakenly sent you 1 ETH? Will you donate it to a charity? Will you send it back to its original owner? If it were me, I'd return it back to its original owner as long as he/she is able to provide a signed message with the address' private key proving the coin's ownership. But since crypto is widely unregulated, anyone can do as they please.

Thoughts? Huh
Doing what you said you will do by asking the sender to sign a message will mean you need to be able to exchange mails with sender. Otherwise how do you make such a request get across to the sender. Do you include that in the address? So I think you are suggesting an impossible thing and that means you do not want to send it back. I will not send it back if someone mistakenly sends me ETH or any other token.
1526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or there are others who have same thoughts? on: August 15, 2020, 05:09:57 AM

Actually to dump is not the purpose of the bounty campaign. It is to spread awareness and if possible hype to the project.  It is one of the marketing strategies of any business that opt to fund them through people's money, .a.k.a ICO, IEO, ITO, IPO, etc.
If we follow this comment that means the OP is right then. Bounties cause awareness and that cause more people to know about a product that though listed on exchanges but was never popular. When more people know about it and get interested it will increase demand for it. The price will go up and then the team will sell ahead of bounty distribution and get out, causing price to crash.

The major reason why several projects get dumped the moment they get in exchange is that many of these projects offers discounts on investors.  Like their regular price is x USD but they give it at the price of x/3.  So who is in the right mind won't sell if they saw 2x 3x profit?  Thus, dumps happen.
You are right here and I do not know why projects still offer such crazy discounts to early investors. It is like deliberately decreasing the value of their tokens.
1527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Despite Many Participants, You Can Still Get Huge Rewards In Bounty. on: August 14, 2020, 06:50:11 AM
You're right the best solution here is limiting the bounty participants this could make bounty hunter earn more,
It is really frustrating when you work hard and put so much effort in the campaign for 12 week but at the end you just earn small amount.

Am not still sure if Bounty Detective is going to do anything to limit hunter participation in every of its bounty. It looks like the more the participants the more their credibility in the bounty circle. Well, it is a matter of time before hunters begin to move away if they are not getting the best of rewards for their stress. This was how some bounty managers lost credibility in the past as their bounty rewards were small and in some cases the projects scanned. Wish bounty detective will listen and limit hunter participation.
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (DEFI) YAM! YAM! YAM! a scam? on: August 13, 2020, 07:44:27 PM
Of all names they chose YAM? It is very funny a name and that will be a lazy team decision and lack of idea. Traders and investors who were here a few years ago will hardly fall for such cheap pump and dump projects, except they're greedy.
1529  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: August 13, 2020, 02:47:04 PM
Your story is want happens constantly whenever people hold a token for a few years and then decide to sell at last. Most times the price goes up after people have sold their shares. At a time like that I do not think anyone should regret the extra profit they missed out on. What if it went down? My strategy holding a token for long time is never to sell because I got tired holding it. I always set a price range to sell and I do not sell everything. Try and keep a small quantity because you never can know what the price will be a few years later.
1530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: August 12, 2020, 09:50:04 AM
If name matters in any other thing we do in real life, it should also matter in crypto. There is something in a name. It is because of this I choose bounties and campaigns I promote. For instance you can not catch me promoting any project that is named or styled after the Devil or demon. I look beyond the name thing but the name has to be right to catch my attention first with. Otherwise I do not promote it.
1531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto success takes time on: August 12, 2020, 06:50:26 AM
I think it depends on the project, if it is a good project then the investor will patiently wait long, if it is a bad project, they will quickly leave.
Coins like, Ethereum, litecoin, Xmr, Bitcoin achieved success because they are good projects.
What about Walton that has not made it up there despite the fact that it has nice roadmap and team? The thing is that people are always in a hurry to gain profit and always looking at time and constantly checking price charts. Why not give the coin you buy enough time to grow is what the OP is saying and I believe that to be true. Do not be in a hurry to sell off your holdings.
1532  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdown easing - I'm back in the cafe on: August 11, 2020, 01:39:32 AM
I'm back on the notebook in Morrison'd cafe,

Wow, you are really brave man, if you are challenging cafe. More than 250K new cases daily worldwide should  at least have given you an alert. "The madness of the brave deserves  a song", as they say, take care of yourself.

That is not being brave. That is Jet Cash taking unnecessary needless risk. He is exposing himself while he should be taking precautions. That is not a brave thing to do. Besides this, he should be able to afford a computer to log in at home.
1533  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Vietnamese discussion on our local threads. Talk in English, self-moderated. on: August 07, 2020, 09:57:08 AM
Therefore... - would be happy if this thread helps to find a few more local folks who are interested in Bitcoin beyond seeing it just as a way to "quick riches" and screwing over your fellow people in the process as manyfold & fast as possible.

I appreciate the effort of the OP in putting this thread up to help gather bitcoin users from Vietnam here. Beyond this too, am thinking it is a good idea to have every poster on the forum to belong to a local group since charity begins at home, and then spring out to general groups and threads. This will help us all discuss ways to help spread bitcoin awareness to our various countries and it can bring about th mass adoption will seek.

1535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware there is fake Trustwallet App circulating on Playstore! on: August 06, 2020, 06:03:33 AM
Damn,  it was released on 25th July 2020 and it already has 1,000 + downloads  Shocked
What's wrong with people not being vigilant?

Let's fload in there and report the app so that it gets taken down as soon as possible.
To report,  hit flag as inappropriate and then select Copycat or Impersonation and the hit Submit. Done.
Link to the fake app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trust.trustcrypto

I think the app has been taken down by playstore. I can not find it on the link to report it. It now shows that the item not found.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: As Ethereum begins to appreciate in the market what is the fate of other alts? on: August 04, 2020, 07:48:52 PM
For sure Ethereum is pumping like crazy because of the DeFi.
I am also a hodler of Ethereum and I am very grateful of my choice of altcoin, the second-highest market cap on cryptocurrency really didn't disappoint me.
For the other altcoins, let's should not tell that they will correlate with Ethereum, but if the Bitcoin dominance will continue to drop, then for sure most of the altcoins will also make their own bullish moves.
Bitcoin dominance will surely drop at some point. It can not continue to be up there. I have observed this happen before and it will happen again after bitcoin have had a good bull run. Once this begins to happen we should be sure that other altcoins will join Ethereum and all coins in cents will begin to increase in value.
1537  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: August 04, 2020, 07:17:36 PM
even you can increase some more participate (if you want)
This will be possible after a week or two when the manager would have checked to see if all the participants are not meeting up with the maximum post requirement, I believe.
1538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Congratulations to me on: August 04, 2020, 07:11:52 PM
Congratulations GeorgeJohn! Your determination to achieve great things is what has taken you to where you are now. Continue making posts (just any posts) and hopefully those with merits will continue to read and merit them. Kudos to you my man.
1539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn Cryptocurrency on: August 04, 2020, 04:43:12 PM
I heard a lot about earning cryptocurrency for free. But unfortunately most of these methods or websites are either scam or pay very little. So I would like to know some legit and real methods to earn crypto online. It will be really appreciated. Thanks!

here is the list.
Bounties = if you want to participate you can see many different bounties in altcoin bounties section
Airdrop = mostly you can see it in social media posted in different groups sometimes you can see it also in altcoin bounties sections .
Afliate program (refferal ) = you can find it in gambling sometimes exchange that give a certain amount for refering a friend if i remember kick token have this know.
Faucet = its give you only a little amount so ill never try.
Services = if you have skill to offer in a project and they need it they will pay you a token or btc for that service you provided.

There is no guarantee that bounties and airdrops will finally be released to you as a bounty hunter at the end. We have cases of projects scamming and running away without meeting up promises to bounty hunters. It is also a big risk doing bounty except you have your research carried out to know the type of project to support.
1540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin a currency or but also a money on: July 29, 2020, 08:54:23 AM
Imo fiat is a type of currency and currency is a type of money...

I think bitcoin fits somewhere between currency and money because a lot of currencies generally have the qualification of being divisible and bitcoin has that whereas realistically gold and silver don't.
This is a little bit confusing for me. Is money not the same thing as currency again? Would you kindly explain this? On bitcoin, my opinion is that it is an asset and not physical money and that is why people buy and later resell for higher gains.
