With all do respect I do not care if you are one of the top 25 holders or the #1 holder. How many BC coins you hold means very little if you are on the sidelines waiting to count your return on your investment. I have invested my time and my personal money to help BC get to this point. Why do you think we are currently trading above 9000? Why do you think BC went from 7100 to 8100 in less than 10 minutes after I made my announcement? That was not a coincidence, and it was just the tip of the iceberg. What I have going on behind the scenes will take BC to the next level and that is not hype, just fact. So just sit back while some us help this coin reach new heights and you can thank me later on when it is trading at $40.00 a coin.

I didn't say I wanted to lost money slow and steady  ... Continue doing what you do best. I'm sure your marketing strategies will attract a great deal of new money. But I will always question the motives and judgement of everyone on these forums and I would advise everyone to do the same. Like you said we are both on the same team, and I think everyone who holds BC whether it is 500 or 500000 want to see it succeed. I am here for the long run and I am not typing to pump BC to dump. I like this community and the coin, and I think together we can do great things. |

You should have messaged me privately if you had concerns, my door is always open. However, I am not some reckless fool just trying to hype up BC to pump and dump. I have nearly 14 years experience building and effectively promoting products. I have one of the top downloaded desktop music apps, and I achieved that in less than 7 months. Slow and steady for BC will be the death of the coin. This is not 2 years ago when the landscape didn't have a new coin launching every hour. BC needs to hit the ground running and never stop.... never. So if you really want to see BC grow and get a nice ROI, then let me do what I know best and not question my motives or judgement. You need to know your crypto-history before calling someone out. Someone who bought 1000 BC at 500 sat would have paid roughly $2.00. Now that same 1000 coins are worth $40.00. I would like to point out that is less than 2 months. Someone who bought 1 BTC at the start October of 2013 would have paid roughly $127. By mid November that 1 BTC was worth over $1000. Now please move on....
I am in the top 25 for BC wallets. My average buyin is 2200 sat. I understand that I have seen over 4x return, and if earlier could have seen 16x or more. But to think that that is going to continue at this rate is purely insane optimism. As the price increases it takes more and more BTC to increase. That should be pretty easy to understand. I'm not saying BC isn't going up. I want it to. I would be willing to bet I have more BC than you as I know 10 of the holders above me. And that is why I am on here trying to protect my investment. There will always be room for competition and eventually Bitcoin will lose appeal because its POW model is not sustainable over time You're reading too much into the Proof of Stake thing and your logic contains an awful lot of wishful thinking and assumptions. The first time I came across a coin with such a fanatical community was Worldcoin. Exactly the same recipe - they thought their coin was going to take over the world because it had fast transaction times. That's how silly your argument looks right now. There is nothing in Blackcoin that isn't heading straight for obsolescence in terms of novelty value within a couple of months. It will probably gain in value due to the multi pool effect but not from anything else and the multi-pool support will be short lived once it's found to work because everybody will be doing it and everybody will be proof of stake and everybody will be investing 6 figure sums in marketing and everybody will have an amazing community. The only thing "everybody" won't have is the slightest bit of traction on bitcoin. You are entitled to your opinion as I am entitled to mine. No one can predict the future, but at the end of the year I hope to see you around so I can say "I told you so". |

Doge has massive inflation right now, that's why it is dropping
That may be to some extent but its price profile follows that of just about every other coin that's been launched in the last 4 months. Most people who invest in alt coins these days don't do so as a long term hold. Alt coins are a liquidity proxy for bitcoin. Sure people are interested in 'features' but only so they can discern which ones are likely to be more competitive in the short term, not the long term, because they've no interest in holding them long term. I don't think people realise what a loosing game it is trying to imagine that anything's going to "replace" bitcoin. There's been a flotilla of alt coins of every shape, size, algo, marketing theme - you name it. Not one of them has even put a dent in Bitcoin. Maybe Litecoin made a scratch but even that can't even get really get remotely near it. People buy alts to get more Bitcoin - for no other serious reason. Towards the end of this year, the final nail in the coffin for bitcoin contenders will appear when the Bitcoin ETFs start to appear on the scene, such as the Winklevosse's one. It takes years to get an ETF through all the regulatory red tape and onto a stockmarket listing. You've no idea how far ahead Bitcoin is in so many areas regarding so called 'network effect'. Not to mention the reputation for integrity it's going to have after shaking off all the Gox FUD legacy and associated attempts by the mainstream press to kill it off. You think a $300,000 supernova marketing campaign's a match for any of that ? It's mickey mouse territory Now I have to wholeheartedly disagree with you. More than 90% of the coins that launch are done by inexperienced development teams that have no clue about coding or marketing. Even Dogecoin was created as a joke. So many of the coins that fail were doomed from the start. There will always be room for competition and eventually Bitcoin will lose appeal because its POW model is not sustainable over time. Also, we in the crypto-community know about Bitcoin, but nearly 99% of the world never heard of Bitcoin. So any coin with a half decent marketing plan can take a huge chunk out of Bitcoin's market share. It is the leader now only because it was the first and been around the longest. I am willing to bet you before the end of the year BlackCoin will be one of the top 3 coins. |

NXT doesn't really draw my interest. BC can bump both out of the way fast
If I could find a grain of logic in that statement I'd actually consider ploughing some more money into BC. NXT is a 2nd generation crypto. It's Blackcoin on steroids. There actually exist solid business reasons for buying NXT other than using it as a currency or speculation. Saying that BC can "Bump" it out of the way belies about as much understanding of this market as a road sweeper does of civil engineering. No one in their right mind would dump NXT for Blackcoin because even if it doesn't succeed as a currency, there are a ton of other viable business models for it. I read your posts and you always make valid points. However, in this case you are not taking into account the "hype" or "marketing" factor. I am not going to debate which coin is better than the other, that is a waste of keystrokes. The crypto-wars are not going to be decided by features, they will be decided by which dev team can market better. The iPad and the iPhone are not nearly as good as various products being released right now. However, sales are still strong because of the "hype" factor. You can't discount the fact BC went from 500 to 9000 in less than 2 months with very little hype or marketing. Once the marketing ramps up I agree with others many coins will get knocked out of the way. |

Unless you're trying to sell rap albums, this kind of marketing is not going to be adopted by any business.
I don't particularly like NXT, but NXT or PPC will bury this coin from superior marketing alone.
I do not know what part of the world you live in, but here in the United States anyone with more than a day of marketing experience would laugh at your comment. Fortune 500 companies would and have used that kind of marketing. I can point you to thousands of print ads and commercials that capitalize on "ethnicity". Where have been been the past two decades? |
