1521  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: October 11, 2015, 12:37:45 PM
What will I do if I quit my day job for bitcoin? All I do with bitcoin is invest.  Huh

Congratulation. I tried to invest with bitcoin two-three times and only one time had profit (and because invested early; to many people had loss from that site). The other two was scammers and I lose my bitcoins. Were few because I wanted to try firstly but were loss. Where do you find you the places in which invest? Can you name one or two of those where here? In which analyse is based your will to invest in some site?
1522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: October 11, 2015, 12:31:34 PM
You can choose to landing. lend money to one another and gain profit from there  Shocked

It is something that cannot give profit in every country. In my country for example this kind of option is totally illegal. So if you lend money to someone and he don't give you your money you cannot do nothing. You cannot go to the police and to ask their help because it will be you that will be punished firstly and immediately. I don't if this activity is allowed in some other country but even if it will be possible, those countries must very few. Because the lend of money need rules and these rules cannot be fulfilled by a single person.
1523  Economy / Economics / Re: The $1 Million Dollar Bitcoin on: October 11, 2015, 12:25:43 PM
For 1 Bitcoin to be worth $1,000,000, the total market cap of Bitcoin would have to be $21 trillion dollars. What are the odds of this happening?

For reference, the amount of physical $dollars and coins in circulation are around $1.2 trillion. The global M2 money supply of all currencies are around $45 trillion. The market cap of all mined gold is around $7 trillion.

Will 1 Bitcoin be worth a million dollars? Half a million? Thoughts?

I don't think so. Even I hope (and theoretically this hope is almost sure) that bitcoin arrive a very high price I don't think that this price will be so high. Have no reason to go so high. I love but it is only a digital coin or in other words an ensemble of zero and ones. I think that there it will be a strong concurrence to it from other currencies produced by only country which probably will be adopted as a national currency or to support their national currency. Every country will protect and stimulate its digital currency. The most big and important countries of the world like Russia and USA are thinking since now about this option. They will try maybe to eliminate forever bitcoin or at least to decrease its importance in the world. Bitcoin have not protection except the volunteers which produce, use and spread it. It is not possible that those volunteers have the power of the above countries and maybe other which will unite with those in the future. If the bitcoin will be banned from every country will be no future for it. This option it is something that must be counted.
1524  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: October 11, 2015, 12:11:10 PM
how to get rich? well work is the only way and do business...

we will not rich if we not doing something..at least do something that can give us money or gaining something

not only hardwork
you need more than it,
you must smart think for create opportunities and take the right choice

Dont forget with something called by "LUCK"
Smart think and hard work is nothing without luck. Smiley

True. I know people which are hard workers and have worked hard to reach a position in their professional life or to have money in order to do a good life. Some of those are without work and other some make a difficult life. I am speaking about my country (which is small) and where cannot be made nothing without knowing something important (call him "luck" because it is only the luck or being parent which can make someone in (strong) connection with such people) or have political connections (call this again "luck" because being in good position in politics need the same connections). Without these two kinds of "lucks" no one can achieve its ambitions even is a hard worker.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you feel about these situations on: October 11, 2015, 11:58:23 AM
1.Suppose you lose parley by 1 match
2.Suppose you earn little little Bitcoins by betting and make somehow 1 Bitcoin then lose it at just 1 match.
what will you do then try to recover your loss or just forget about it?

2. I don't gamble so mine it is only a hypothetical answer. I will forget it. If I will continue for sure I will lose all my money. The luck in  gambling is rare and it was with you until you had your bitcoin. Then is difficult to be back again soon.

Anyhow, my suggestion is to not gamble at all.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which game you like most to play gambling on Bitcoin ?? on: October 10, 2015, 06:14:26 PM
I don't gamble and don't like to gamble. So I don't play any gambling game. For more with bitcoin. I preserve bitcoin for the times to come when will have more much value than nowadays.

I like to much that everyone which gamble not do this. But even if this is impossible, to be responsible and to not be greedy. For more to not play never with bitcoin but to preserve it.

1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: quantum computer is here. and now? on: October 10, 2015, 06:01:16 PM
what is the future of bitcoin with quantum computers?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kTDmsNumVE

The creation of an quantum computers is a huge step ahead in the computing science. It will be a big materialization which will help the human being in to many areas. I am not a scientist or a specialist in this field but I already read some things in Wikipedia about it. The news which are in the youtube video are not yet there. And I cannot understand the spoken English to hear it. But I think that if bitcoin is in risk with this computer the developers certainly will find a way to protect it from this kind of computer. Bitcoin cannot have such end.

In expectancy of this development here is an article which give an idea (solution) about how to protect bitcoin from such computer. This solution is named Lamport signature.

The article about the solution can be found here: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bitcoin-is-not-quantum-safe-and-how-we-can-fix-1375242150

While who want to know more about Lamport signature can read here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamport_signature

Don't have fear. Have faith and hope. This must think every bitcoiner.
1529  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gemini's launch is a failure, so is bitcoin on: October 10, 2015, 04:22:49 PM
I don't think so. The owners of Gemini are the twins Winklevoss. Their portfolio includes over 40 companies and is growing strong. Have not reasons why this last investment made from them be a failure.

According to them:

"Our interest in Bitcoin began in 2012. It was immediately obvious to us how awesome and powerful this technology was. People laughed, as they always do, when something is awesome, powerful and new, but that only helped to fuel our fire. Over the past two and a half years, we have spent a great deal of time educating ourselves and others about Bitcoin; investing in bitcoin; investing in Bitcoin-related companies; filing an S-1 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission to create the Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust (an ETF focused on bringing bitcoin investment exposure to main street investors) which will list on NASDAQ; and launching a bitcoin price index called WinkDex that will price our ETF (online, iPhone, Android)."

Seems that they act not without thinking and not prepared. Since they had interest about bitcoin since 2012 and had invested early on it these are very good signs that their last investment connected with bitcoin should have a good progress.

For more about their thoughts about this last their initiative you can learn here: https://blog.gemini.com/welcome-to-gemini/

Which country you're in is a factor in the ease of accepting payments if you want to convert them to your local currency. If you just want to accept Bitcoin and keep it then it doesn't really matter where you are.

Most people use a payment processor. The biggest two are https://bitpay.com/ and https://www.coinbase.com/merchants

They'll give you the plugins to be able to accept coins via your site and they can instantly convert them to USD or whatever if that's what you want, or keep a proportion or all in Bitcoin.

You might need to make some noise via Bitcoin forums to get some sales. The rest of the world isn't too familiar with it.

Thanks for your fast response!!! Cheesy

I'll check out those two processors right now.

I would probably be keeping a small % of the bitcoin. (personal saving) and converting the rest.

I plan on posting the website once i have it complete. Which should be tonight or tomorrow.

I will suggest you to not use or change now any bitcoin and to preserve all those if you do not have need to convert those now. The value of bitcoin is expected to arrive in to many high levels. So, if this it will be confirmed or verified, you will have later much more profits than the change of those now. There are factors that increase to much the probability that such increase of value of bitcoin be verified. So the question might be not "if" but "when".

For me, put your bitcoins in a secure wallet, and forget about those. Try to increase the amount but use those, at least and normally, after e few years. Maybe even sooner... Everything is possible with it....  Wink
1531  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have halted all purchases paying with Bitcoin on: October 10, 2015, 03:54:53 PM
...

Recently I made a decision to just stand pat re my BTC holdings.  I had made various experiments into buying gold (from veldtgold.com here at bitcointalk) and providentmetals.com, both of them gave me good & rapid service when paying by Bitcoin.

But, my wife is less-than-enchanted with me buying more gold, so I will just HODL the rest of my BTC "pile", and wait to see what happens in the near and medium term future.

I am inclined to believe that BTC will likely go higher from here, with a lesser chance of going much higher, but I have less insight into that than many BTC veterans and experts.

So, I will just sit on the sidelines now, and cheer the BTC price on up.  If ti reaches very high numbers, I will re-evaluate my HODL, and turn them back into CA$H or gold.  In other words, my BTC are now in "strong hands", I am not going to let them go.

Very good and wise decision according to me. The only wrong you have made is the use of it before for those bought. Now just sit and wait. Or wait and see. Only to tell and not to give you mind I have taken this decision time ago. I'm happy to find a friend. Only that me have intention to wait and see about it in long term and not in the near and medium term. I will follow it for sure (I am doing this every day) but I will not use it nor in the near and nor in medium future period.

1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency? on: October 10, 2015, 03:26:44 PM

I agree totally with you. The best thing to do is that bitcoin enter at the schools and universities as cycle of lessons and be part of actual curriculum of everyone of those. But how is possible this when most of the countries of the world ignore it? if this can be true the known and the value of bitcoin (especially the value as a technology and not only as a currency) it will increase much more and with big steps.

But it is not advertising one of the ways which can help on this?

I guess so but documentaries and demonstrations of use cases are going to do the job better than just a nice banner. Some of the retailers who've taken it on have also done a nice job of explaining what it is.

Perhaps a more relevant question is where advertising and education should be aimed. There are a lot of people with skills in developing countries who could be making good use of it right now but all the big bucks are going towards bloated first worlders with a lesser need for it.

I agree again with your post and strongly with the part in bold and red. But I think that even documentaries and demonstration of use cases are a particular form of advertising. More elaborated but yet advertising are. The problem is who can made those. While to do a banner needed only a good designer, to do the first things needed very qualified people. How to attract them? This is the problem. The most prepared and intellectual people interested for bitcoin are mostly the programmers or the developers. Can you find a way to attract Steven Spielberg or James Cameron?  Wink
1534  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the US win the currency war? on: October 10, 2015, 03:13:33 PM
well i think right now there only 2 possibilities on currency war...

its between US and China as both economic is good..the growth racing between each other..so who will be the winner?

The currency that should win must be the currency of the strongest country between USA and China. I think that no one one will win. USA is a big world power but China had some advantages which USA cannot have in any way. For example all the Chinese people are hardworkers. And work and are satisfied with much less money than the Americans. This is the main advantage which make possible the good and the fast increase of Chinese economy.

I think that everyone will have its areas of influence and will try with diplomacy to increase its influence in other areas. They will be never in a military conflict. Because if yes it will be the end of the world. They will resolve all their conflicts with discussions between those and in this way will continue. This kind of behavior will made possible that the respective currencies have even those their areas of influence.

But in one thing I think that China will not arrive never USA. In the field of high technology. Even buying such businesses in USA. It will be enough this to assure the supremacy of us dollar? Who knows.... The time will show...

England vs Estonia
FYR Macedonia vs Ukraine
Liechtenstein vs Sweden
Moldova vs Russia
Montenegro    vs Austria
Slovakia vs Belarus
Slovenia vs Lithuania
Spain    vs Luxembourg
Switzerland    vs San Marino

Description :

---------  (Prediction is difficult)
Red         ( May be Win )
Blue        (Potential over   1.5 / 2.5 Goals)

What is your opinion ?

I am giving my opinions about the winners of every match. Will be winners: England, Ukraine, Sweden, Russia, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland. I don't want to give results about every match.

Who want to make the same thing like me and see after who will win?

It is fun to bet without money.

I have not found the results of only two of all the above matches: I have wrong only with Slovakia and Slovenia. Very good results for someone which have made only little bets in football more than 30 years ago. Must go again this thing. It is funny here.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency? on: October 10, 2015, 02:42:17 PM
Education, not advertising. An awful lot of people have heard the word now. Very, very few have a clue what it actually entails.

Received the bitcoins of the week. Thank you. May your money go to the sky.

Can you check please?

Edit: I'm doing posts. It will be the risk that my posts made today not be counted from the bot being it not allright?

The smelly truth is that everyone's got tired of the heaps of horse manure you produce.

I see that I burned your interests with my posts. Or I have burned you in something else that I ignore what might be.

I am happy that I have someone who read everything I write. I haven't imagine such success. You may shine with your pearls writing about my posts or after those. I will read those (can't tell again will be happy because imagine your level and the level of those). If I will have something to tell (because some times it is in vain to discuss with an idiot) I will made my answer to you. But imagine that you must be a feebleminded which have fear to express his thoughts publicly. I haven't read any of your posts in all the threads I write. It is the first time that I see your nick and from your posts I see that you wrote in Russian and mainly in the local board. The posts made there have nothing to do with my posts which are mainly made in totally other boards and threads.

Are you sure that your post have to do with me?
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long did it take you to make 1 BTC? on: October 10, 2015, 12:54:51 PM
With signature campaigns it can take some time(weeks -months) depending on how much you write, how much you earn and what your position is.
Working and using fiat money to convert a portion into Bitcoin can be done really fast(hours-weeks).Of course here it depends on your salary and how much you're willing to put into Bitcoin.

Working on good signature campaigns (like mine below in my signature) and having a good rank (like mine or even one under mine) can be earned not few bitcoins. Important is to be professional: what means to make good posts (constructive and qualitative) and to not to spam. I hope to have about or more than 1 bitcoin in a month (if everything go well) and this is not an indifferent amount.
1539  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN going up or down on: October 10, 2015, 12:40:09 PM
i always think and make investments for the long term. short term trading might be very profitable, but the risks are higher. if you buy now and hold at least till the halving, then you'll get a decent reward.

I don't know with which price you had your bitcoins (if bought) or with which costs had you those if you found or had those in other way. I wanted to tell you that your thought is the same with the mine but with a little difference. I don't wait the halving to sell my bitcoins but much more time. I hope that after years the price will go much higher than it will go (always if) with the halving. So, if you will have no express needs, better forget those bitcoins you have for some years or try only to increase those. The profit after years could be (always in conditional) much more.
1540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello all, here! on: October 10, 2015, 12:23:28 PM
I figure if I'm going to get started on this forum, the best I can do is introduce myself.

My name is Kris and I'm a freelance videographer and writer from Atlanta, Georgia.  I got involved in Bitcoin early on and even had an entire 1 BTC when it was worth US$4 but unfortunately spent it away thanks to my lack of foresight.  The way BTC seems to be climbing made me want to invest in it once again.  Of course, getting back in wasn't easy.  I was naive to think that cloud mining and faucet rotators were the way to collect BTC but unfortunately realized you can't make money without spending it first.

My thoughts now are to collect BTC in order to build my videography business on equipment, by starting off small and growing over time.  While this industry is competitive in Atlanta, I've been using some of my writing talents to supplement income.  I've also taken a part-time retail job just for extra cash.

I'm really interested in crowdfunding and investment in BTC.  The decentralization and neutrality of it on an international standpoint is what makes it appealing to me.

- Kris

You can find interesting material for your needs here in this board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0

I want to tell only some words since you are new here and with bitcoin. It is very difficult to invest in bitcoin. Every materialized project in this currency is new, so without to much to analyse about it. Being this project here in bitcointalk or being out of there it is almost the same story. Everyone without nothing to tell except the idea and maybe some data or some day (months) of life. The bitcoin businesses which have years are rare and ask to much to invest or are not interested for new investors. The most of start ups in bitcoin has failed and have no more activity. Bitcoin is yet a "child", only few know and use it, and in most of the countries is ignored. This make difficult any kind of business which is connected with it. I think and suggest that you must count mainly to yourself if you want to do something regarding bitcoin. To collaborate is better but much more risky if you will invest on it.

If you don't need the above advices forget this post. If I helped you just a little it will be a big pleasure for me. I wish you success and good stay here.
