1522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WEIRD BITCOIN CONVERSATIONS AT GATHERINGS - SHARE THE CRAZIEST STATEMENTS MADE on: August 29, 2023, 08:16:27 AM
One of the craziest things that I am still hearing from my friends is that " It is a bubble, and it will burst" It has been more than 10 years and if you still hear such things from tech enthusiasts then you know how much understanding your friends have about Bitcoin. I have now stopped convincing them as I know they won't agree with me. The worst is when someone compares Bitcoin with Altcoin and wants to justify the comparison.

1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: August 29, 2023, 07:13:48 AM
The first match of Asia Cup will be played between Pakistan vs Nepal, the match will start at Multan Cricket Stadium in Pakistan.  Between the two teams we know Pakistan is in better form in this Asia Cup so we can say that Pakistan can win this match against Nepal. The first match of the group will be played tomorrow and we will see a good game between the two teams. If I see betting avoidance where there are many differences between Pakistani and Nepali accordingly I can say that betting for Pakistan is possible to win.

Undoubtedly Pakistan is a much better team than Nepal. Playing on their home ground will be another advantage for Pakistan. I hate to say this, but it is worthless to compare Nepal with Pakistan and I still do not know why Nepal was selected for the Asia Cup tournament. The last time that Nepal played with an international team was with Zimbabwe in this year. Unfortunately, they lost by 8 wickets, considering that match it would be a cakewalk for Pakistan tomorrow.

1525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tutorial] Advanced Google Search (Dorking) on: August 28, 2023, 06:10:03 AM
There is another option that is always available if anyone is unable to use the internal search or Google search. You can go ahead and ask the community and you will surely  recieve helpful guidance in an ethical manner. I would prefer asking the community over Google Dorking search.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: August 28, 2023, 04:46:24 AM
After so many controversies now we will actually see the Asia Cup 2023. When the shifting controversy started I had a feeling either this tournament would get cancelled or might be played without Pakistan. Only two more days left for the tournament to start. The main match will be played on 2nd of September between India & Pakistan. I am hopeful that we can see both the teams play against each other after 2nd too.

1527  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if there is no crypto bull run for next 10 years ? on: August 28, 2023, 04:14:48 AM
You are correct; it is very difficult to predict the future. It is important to focus on the present and also remember the past. Bitcoin has been in existence for over a decade, and its growth has been significant. This has attracted the attention of governments worldwide, as they seek to exert control over it. While it is possible that governments in the future may have some control over Bitcoin, stopping its growth completely is not that easy.

The bull run is not a one-time event, but rather a cycle. If the market goes down, it will eventually go up again. By observing the past, we can conclude that the bear market period for Bitcoin comes to an end after each halving. We can be rest assured that the next bull run will occur approximately every four years. However, anything can happen in between the time periods of 4 years.
1528  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: dydx [ income tax or capital gains tax ] on: August 27, 2023, 12:50:08 PM
As per my understanding of Taxation, it is better to consult a professional. If you ask questions on the forum, you will get different answers. Tax is a complicated issue and most of the information provided on the internet is based on personal experience. I am not a German, and I do know there is a local board Deutsch (German) local board. Did you ask your question there, if you have not then it is better to ask your question on that board or do a search. Still, it is better to talk to a pro than us on the forum.

Thanks.
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Transaction on BitcoinMarket in 2010 on: August 27, 2023, 12:36:11 PM
I too was not able to find out how many wallets were part of the first transaction. I was still able to find out details regarding it. Bitcoin.com provides information pertaining to the first transaction whereas they never wrote anything about the number of wallets doing that transaction. As per BlackHatCoiner when checking the transaction ID only four other wallets were involved. Still, it doesn't state that there were four members who were the individual owners of those wallets. I do think it is possible to find out the number of members involved in this transaction.
1530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I go with Bitcoin or Altcoins for the upcoming bull run cycle? on: August 27, 2023, 11:52:51 AM
The fact that Bitcoin gives everyone the guarantee that it is the best investment option in cryptocurrency doesn't mean it would give you handsome returns in the upcoming bull market. I think if you invest in the new-age blockchain projects or the ones improving the existent blockchain the returns on your investment would be good. For example, projects like Matic, DOT, Solana, and others are very cheap at the moment. During Bull Run, you can easily expect them to generate a 2x or even 5x return.

Another good investment if you can take a risk is shitcoins. There are many in the market, but some are being constantly promoted by a billionaire. If you invest in them, you might gain up to 10x return on your investment. IMO you should have everything in your portfolio for you to gain good profit in the next bull market.
1531  Local / India / Re: Polygon MATIC Co-founders are Indians! on: August 27, 2023, 11:43:29 AM

You are too late. It's a known thing. In fact, the co-founder of Polygon was the one who created the crypto covid relief campaign during Covid to support the people.
Vitalik had donated a huge amount in this campaign and this was when I knew about him.

I too was of the same impression that the founders being Indian the company should be an India startup. It is not that he is late there may be others who might have the same opinion. The main reason Indian media gave an extensive coverage when these guys become millionaire. The coverage went to an extent that some of them claimed it to be Indian startup. Later on, the founders came out and clearly informed the media that they are not Indian startup.

1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2023 best bitcoin site? on: August 26, 2023, 09:24:22 AM
Best website will always be Bitcointalk. For discussion I prefer r/Bitcoin and r/Bitcoin beginner. For enquiries I would prefer asking those AI that are making humans crazy like hell. Stack overflow  is a good option if I have any queries or questions. For lessons on Blockchain I feel udemy offers good courses. I may be wrong as I personally haven't explored it. I did hear many good things about the courses.
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Conferences: From Modest Beginnings to Global Conferences on: August 25, 2023, 08:54:18 AM
This year it will be much bigger and better than the last year. I am expecting  more audience more speakers but I guess sponsors would be different. The discussion might be primarily be around Bitcoin ETF as it has been a hot topic for quite sometime now. Good to know the difference between the first Bitcoin confrence and the one happened last year. It only took a decade to see such a big change.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: August 25, 2023, 07:59:03 AM
OP! You have chosen the wrong board. You should transfer your topic to the gambling discussion child board. Now coming back, why would anyone save their money in a gambling wallet? The purpose of the wallet is to instantly use the money for gambling purposes. In my opinion, unless you gamble daily there is no point in keeping crypto or fiat money in a casino's wallet.
1536  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] PlayBita.com Crypto Down or Up? Join us ! on: August 25, 2023, 07:49:29 AM
Welcome to the forum!

Just now visited your platform a d we t through the short tutorial. So you guys are only using Polygon at the moment through Web3. Any chance the team would explore other blockchains in the future? We have plenty of casino offering the same Bitcoin up & down games. Do you guys plan to add other games on your platform?

Thanks.
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Distribution among Accounts on Blockchain on: August 25, 2023, 06:53:46 AM
There is a good possibility of a lot of wallets with small balance might have been abandoned due to loss of Private key or the owners have forgotten about them. Those four with big balance can be of exchanges. I doubt them to be wallets of whales. This my first time seeing such a data, I do know that everything can be seen on Blockchain but collecting such information requires a lot of effort & time.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Airdrop Scam on Trust Wallet via Links on: August 24, 2023, 12:35:50 PM
Why not avoid airdrops? I mean, they had decent value back in those days. However, I have read many negative reviews about them in recent times. There are some good airdrops, but they are not very frequent, and even when they do occur, they are generally valued at no more than $10 or $20. While they have a low initial worth, they might offer a good return in the long run. However, since most users pursuing airdrops are looking for instant redemption, waiting for the long run may be practical. In understanding, it is better to stay away from any airdrops, as there are multiple options available to obtain free tokens.
1539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unknown Bitcoin Whale Gains $3B in 90 Days on: August 24, 2023, 12:21:00 PM
Yeah, it can fall to the following categories,

a. Exchanges
b. Crypto base gambling platform
c. And as what Frankly stated, it could be Michael Saylor.

An exchange has the highest probability of accumulating a large amount of Bitcoin. I doubt a gambling platform can secure such a substantial investment from a gambler. Although Michael Saylor has been consistently buying Bitcoin, it is unlikely that he could acquire such a significant amount in just a couple of days. To understand how he is making those purchases, it would be helpful to conduct a Google search. I believe it may involve an exchange wallet, likely associated with a major player in the exchange industry.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As I was browsing Charles Schwab's crypto offerings.... on: August 24, 2023, 12:14:33 PM
Damn, they are charging 2% expense ration just to hold BTC ? That's insane.
It would be a lot better for a person to directly buy BTC instead but ofcourse if a person doesn't have the technical knowledge then he does have this option though.
It might be good for those people who doesn't want to go through regulatory issues of buying BTC.
Something is better than nothing and so I think it's a positive sign that these firms are slowly getting their hands on bitcoin.
After an ETF is approved, do you think cryptocurrency exchanges would be permitted to operate in the US? Bitcoin ETFs are primarily intended to benefit institutional investors rather than the general public. Through ETFs, the government will be able to track every buy and sell of Bitcoin, ultimately eliminating anonymity for US citizens. IMO Bitcoin ETF is good for Bitcoin price to rise up but bad for individual Bitcoin investor.
