It makes me feel like this can be the end of the road for Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey.

They have got one of the toughest matchups in the quarter finals already. Atletico Madrid are having a pretty bad season and their chance of winning any title is quite low as a result. The Copa del Rey would be seen as the one in which they have the most chance to do so. But I have serious doubts about them to defeat Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid are also caring about the cup quite much. We have all seen their remarkable comeback against Villarreal despite being 2-0 away first. They already defeated Atletico Madrid in the La Liga away and they can repeat it here again.

Tottenham have a quite nice advantage over Manchester City in home matches for a couple of years.

Tottenham won their last four head-to-head home matches and three of them were in the Premier League. Maybe Manchester City might not be able to make a comeback this time if Tottenham capture a good score advantage again. Tottenham have had quite big problems in the recent times of course. They have lost so many points. They have lost nearly the half of their home matches also. But still I think things are quite changeable when it comes to big matches. Manchester City had better make a good score gap as quick as possible otherwise I believe Tottenham will steal at least one point this time.

Nkunku's absence didn't change anything for Leipzig in the Schalke match just as I expected. Because they were already going to play against literally the worst defense line in the Bundesliga. Andre Silva used his chance very well and scored two goals. It is nice to see him scoring goals again because he is actually a quite decent striker. He was just having difficulties in keeping a good form which caused him to be a substitute player. It will not be easy to get the shirt from Nkunku when he is back but this is still important for Silva. Olmo was another impressive player of the match with a goal and two assists.

The biggest shocker of the day is that Koln are still in the lead by 1-0. Bayern Munich can't score even a goal in Allianz Arena while we are in the last 20 minutes of the match. They are in control but it doesn't reflect on the score I'm afraid.

It looks like Marcelo Bielsa is the strongest candidate for the job at Everton after sacking Lampard.

I think this might be a good decision for Everton. Because Bielsa is a very experienced manager and he has a lot of experience with some decent teams like Athletic Bilbao, Marseille, Lazio and Lille. His last team was Leeds and he isn't working for any team right now. He worked with Leeds for nearly four years so he knows the Premier League very well also. I hope he builds a good relationship and has a good chemistry with Everton players to put an end to their misery in this season.

Fenerbahçe Ümraniyespor maçında neredeyse puan kaybediyordu. Ümraniyespor'un 2. golü öncesi faul olmasa büyük ihtimalle maç 2-2 gibi bir skorla bitmiş olacaktı. Hakemin Fenerbahçe'nin lehine bu kadar açık bir şekilde maçı yönetmesi büyük tepki çekti. Sosyal medyada birçok Fenerbahçeli taraftarın bile bu durumdan rahatsız olduğunu gördüm. Hala hakemlerin taraflı bir futbol yönettiği bir lig izlemek üzücü.

Hakemlerle ilgili bu probleme ne zaman nasıl bir çözüm getirilecek ya da bir şey yapılacak mı merak ediyorum.

Milan are still dealing with issues in defense and we are seeing another example of it clearly now. Lazio got ahead in the 4th minute already and the match is going on 1-0.

Lazio are of course not a team that should be underestimated. They are one of the solid teams of the season now and winning this match can carry them to the 3rd position directly. Milan are still relying on their strong attacking line to keep the match as balanced as possible. Especially Leao is going to be the key player in this match as usual. His contribution level can determine the fate of this match as he is a game changer. But Lazio's scoring first will really make things harder for Milan.

The match between Fulham and Tottenham has just started after being delayed for some time. The reason was written like "traffic problems" interestingly.    I'm seeing it for the first time.

Anyway, Tottenham are still favoured despite its being a challenging match. Tottenham actually have a great attacking line consisting of players like Kulusevski, Son and Kane. All of these players have such a great potential to score a few goals in this. Only Kane by himself is even enough to increase the scoring probability a lot. But the main problem of this team has been related to their defense. Fulham are one of the effective attacking teams so Tottenham can have difficulties in defending them. Mitrovic is the biggest threat. It will be lovely to watch a Kane - Mitrovic clash in this.

According to Mourinho, Zaniolo isn't likely to leave the team because of inadequate amount of offers for him.

I mean that it looks like interested teams don't make proper offers to sign him. Actually his market price has already decreased a lot compared to before. His injuries in the past played a huge role in this of course. He has lost 25 million euros from his value in 2.5 years - it is 30 million euros now. I don't think Roma would demand a huge sum for him now considering his current value. Therefore I don't understand why those teams don't want to pay that much. Maybe they might be worried about his injury-prone situation and they want to make this deal happen for as less money as possible.

This Dortmund can be quite dangerous against Chelsea in the Champions League. I mean especially their scoring potential because Dortmund have very skilled scorers now despite Haaland's departure. It is a great privilege to watch Bellingham especially. We all have seen how they performed against Augsburg in offense. I can't say Chelsea are in a very good condition when it comes to their defending. This would be an advantage for Dortmund to make use of in my opinion.

On the other hand Dortmund are dealing with big issues in defense. They still concede simple goals by giving huge spaces to their opponents. The reason why Augsburg scored 3 goals against them was this. Dortmund have made transfers for their defense line but not much thing has changed.

This was one of the things I was expecting to see truthfully.

Because Juventus are in big trouble in the Serie A after 15 points of them have been removed. They are most likely to be out of the Europa League or Champions League next season unless they win the Europa League title or the Coppa Italia one (If I'm not wrong the Coppa Italia winner joins the Europa League groups directly). It would be the best for Vlahovic to join a team competing especially in the Champions League in that case. Arsenal, PSG and Bayern Munich might have the upper hand on Chelsea I think. Chelsea aren't close to one of the Champions League tickets now.

25 goals in 19 matches... Haaland is such a special striker. Saying "goal machine" wouldn't even be enough to describe him this season. He is running to a new goal record in the English Premier League.

Arsenal are clearly the closest team for winning their match against Manchester United. I see it like 60% to 40% when it comes to comparing the winning probabilities. You know Arsenal are very dominant in home matches. I don't expect it to change in a big match like this as well. It can be like a revenge on their previous match in Old Trafford also. Manchester United defeated them by a reassuring score. But I don't think ten Hag can create a formula in Emirates to even get one point. The final score might be 2-1 or 3-1 in my opinion.

This can really be just a rumour nothing more. But I think Hamilton will still get a huge contract even if the deal lasts for only one year or two years. He is still Mercedes' main driver despite Russell's joining the team and having a better season than him the last time. Hamilton is just continuing for breaking the title record only by himself and we will see if he will make it.

Mercedes had better prepare a fast car this time. We are getting some news from Ferrari lately like they have gained 30 hp and fixed the durability problems now. If this turns out to be true then Mercedes can stay behind them again. Even Red Bull can have serious difficulties against Ferrari.

There is one match in the Coupe de France match today but it is a really big one. Marseille are hosting Rennes tonight and Marseille are highly favoured for the win in this match. These two teams are competing for the Champions League spots in the Ligue 1 on one hand. Marseille are in a much better condition of course with a lasting winning streak. Rennes have lost a couple of matches lately and they would like to make up for it in this cup match surely.

The last time they played against each other resulted in Rennes' victory. This might be Marseille's time. I assume they will care about this cup as much as the league. There isn't a single time they won this cup in the past. While they are having a decent season they should go for this title also.

Real Madrid's performance against Villarreal didn't satisfy me at all. Of course the result is the most important thing here but this level of effort isn't good enough for the rest of the season.

Hopefully Real Madrid won't maintain the same effort in the La Liga and Champions League. Otherwise it would be very difficult for them to win a title. Athletic Bilbao are another challenging team to defeat for Real Madrid. Because there isn't a big difference between Villarreal and them now. It feels like both teams would find goal(s) comfortably. But for the result of the match I can't be confident of anything now. Real Madrid might be able to win by a close margin again maybe. They had better do so to prevent the point gap with Barcelona to get bigger.

Arsenal are still five points ahead of Manchester City despite having one less match played in the league. This is a really important advantage for them and they need to keep up the good work for many more weeks.

At the beginning of the season I wasn't expecting other team than Manchester City and Liverpool to make it to the Premier League title. But now Arsenal are the biggest candidate for that on paper. It is lovely to watch their fierce competition for the title after many many years of break. Maybe it is really time for them to put an end to their longing for the title. Arsenal totally deserve the title for now after watching their impressive effort against not only smaller teams but also tough ones. Their matches against Manchester City are also very important. But this version of them is strong enough to beat Manchester City also.

There is an interesting situation like this:

- Dortmund are favoured by bookmakers for the first leg - 2.52 against 2.64. It is a small gap but still. 
- Meanwhile Chelsea are favoured by them again for reaching the next stage - 1.57 against 2.25.

This is pushing me to think like Dortmund will resist in the first leg but we might be likely to see a draw and see both teams scoring. But in Stamford Bridge Chelsea can finish the deal by a decent win. I still don't expect a big score gap there also considering Chelsea's current condition. I just expect them to eliminate Dortmund anyway especially when we think of what they did to Milan in the group stage. I see Dortmund and Milan being at similar levels in the Champions League recently.

There are some starting eleven players like Lewandowski and Raphinha are on the field now. Barcelona scored the only goal of the match thanks to Raphinha against Ceuta. I guess this won't be a challenging match for them at all. Their opponent is so weak that even with the reserve players Barcelona should be able to get the win easily. I expect more goals from them in the second half.

Villarreal - Real Madrid has just started. Both teams are playing with their usual lineups seemingly. I don't feel like Villarreal will do the same to Real Madrid here also. But I still expect Real Madrid to get the win with some difficulty. They had better look for breaking Villarreal defense early.

I think Yann Sommer is one of the most logical transfers Bayern Munich would have made. It is good for them to make their decision and finish the deal before the Bundesliga matches return. They have a match against Leipzig away tomorrow as you know. This is one of the important matches on the road going to the championship. Solving their goalkeeper issue must also help them. We will see if Sommer will make a big impact on this match of course. I don't know if he is going to be available for this match though but I expect so.

Leipzig have a tough job to do against them. In their head-to-head matches I can't say that Leipzig have any superiority. It is totally the other way around truthfully. It is all up to which side will return stronger from this break.
