What did you order? The real Bitmain hasn't even announced pricing for batch 4 yet, let alone a shipping date, they just started shipping batch 2.
I ordered the S3 and it says : UPDATE: Batch 1,2, 3 Sold Out. Now selling Batch 4, shipping on/before July 30, 2014 which is why I ordered. why would they say that if they dont have stock as if thats true what you say (Bitmain only shipping batch 2), then thats a scam. Unless by the batch 1, 2, 3 they mean the batches THEY are getting from Bitmain, not actual Bitmains batches. I would say you got scammed. The real Bitmain sales site is https://www.bitmaintech.com/product.htm?from=bitcointalk&user=BITMAIN

A couple of suggestions.... The good news for you is that BFL operates in the United States and try not to scoff at these suggestions, from personal experience, you can get some serious attention to the BFL situation, but you need to go through the side door. If you ever watch American Greed on TV, pay attention as to how the government found out about the scam. Here are my suggestions: 1) The IRS anonymous tip line: 1-800-829-0433. Chances are very high that if they are not doing what they say they are doing, they are more than likely not paying taxes. You can probably bet on the fact that Uncle Sam isn't getting his due from these guys. If you're a bored Auditor looking at either going after a Bait and Tackle shop in Idaho or a Bitcoin Hardware manufacturer, which are you going to want to go after? This does work, from experience, it's the #1 way to get uncle sam pissed off at a business that can't afford to have a lobbyist (heh). 2) US postal service investigators (for some reason) have these odd government powers to marshal forces inside the government and move mountains. I have no idea why and it sounds like a crackpot suggestion, but trust me, start here too. https://www.uspsoig.gov/hotlineGood luck... also, go on Fiver and find a marketing person to make your site a little better man. They take BTC too!. So true about the USPS. Mail fraud, which happens anytime a law is broken and the mail serves is used in someway associated with it, can carry more penalties than the law that was broken.

Hi there. I have 2 S1 and i was thinking to sell them, because i bought 2 S3. Then i found this tutorial for undervolting antminer S1. But i dont know whats the "pencil mod". what do i have to do?? just press where the image says with a pencil? or what? i dont get it xD Oh and most important thing. Is it worth it to dont sell S1, and when i have my S3(478GH/s @366W without OC),with my Corsair CX750M, then undervolt my 2 S1 and use them also with my 2 corsairs? Together with the S3?. Or i should better sell them?. Considering: 332W --> 280 GH/s (2 S1 with pencil mod) vs 366W --> 478 GH/s (1 S3). Is it worth it to undervolt then? or better sell them and buy maybe another S3. edit: ok i found here the pencil mod video tutorial, i will watch it to see how it works I am running 6 S1's as together they are still making @$20 a day and cost me @$7 to run with BTC at $620. So I plan on keep running them at normal speed until the cost gets closer to what they make then undervolt them which will drop my cost in about half. Also if BTC would happen to go back up they will stay profitable for sometime to come or I may want to run them during the winter just for the heat. I have 1 S3 coming but nobody knows for sure at this point what kind of unforeseen problems the S3 may have and I will not buy more until they get out into people's hands first.

It is not a classical pre-order which would mean in the current Bitcoin-world that customers basically finance what first has to be developed. It was an order, Bitmain produces the machines and sends them out. The machine's parts are in hand, a working prototype is a available. So what? They said they send out the miners on the 10th. If it will be the 15th, they still will be better than 97,2% of all other miner producers in the market.
If you order an S2 with them, you don't know if they just produce it at the moment of the order....
I've ordered privately and for a company 16 S3 at the moment and will only start to complain if they are not here by mid-August.
i believe it said the 10th but no later than the 20th

Sounds like Bitmain is dropping the s2 form factor AKA "The Last Batch" on their forum thread, so I will look elsewhere for a unit that can sit in a rack . The S2 was a GREAT product, I wish they would have stuck with the development of it ..
I am thinking the price of the S3 will be priced below the price per GH of the S2 and that is why they held up 1 week on releasing the S3 till they could get rid of all the S2 inventory.

Goat is next to Phin, the OP never worked for BFL, BFL did not sell any 28nm chips, nice try. Next.
SLoK, Goat is next to Josh, I am next to Phin. ok, I remember it was mentioned long ago when that picture was first out that he was on the right side row. I work for nobody, btw. Slok, aren't you a admin on the BFL forums? Slok is bcp'ing it up here. BFL called in the shillenforcments! I believe SLok is a good guy and he has been very helpful to anybody on the BFL forum needing help. I feel he does not work for BFL as I have seen his responses on the forum and his answers were not that of a person with inside knowledge of the internal workings of the company but would try and steer a person in the right direction for help and I have seen him even make post as to call out BFL on a few things. With that being said I have since sold all my BFL singles and went with S1's miners and have not followed the BFL forums for 3 months or more.

Thanks, I was just curious. I am running 3486Gh/s and still haven't found a block and I have been here since February this year. It is showing that on your main account page? Not doubting that is just some fantastic luck.
yeah it does. I thought it was weird also that i find that many blocks quickly.. but still doesnt amount to anything. I doubt very much that you found 6 blocks in one day, especially with 30 GH/s, it is more likely that our pool found 6 blocks that day and you are misreading the information. you will find the found blocks under the workers area: Workers Total average hash rate in last 60 minutes: 0 Mhash/s Register new worker Login Password Found blocks Current shares Score Last share at Mhash/s* Actions .worker1 xxx 1 0 0 4 months, 4 weeks 0.0 Edit | .worker2 xxx 0 0 0 4 months, 1 week 0.0 Edit | * Average hash rate in last 60 minutes. Calculated each 5 minutes. Found blocks 239418 (This is the only block I found back when I was running 13 USB Erupter miners)

OK, well I plugged it in and nothing happened... My PSU isn't doing anything, fan isn't spinning or anything. Don't tell me I have a DOA PSU... Does the paperclip method solve this? Shouldn't the psu be spinning up regardless? got to use a paper clip. Edit: also my corsair RM 850 the fan will not run until the load is large enough or needed to cool.

I am mining at Slush, just got my 3rd S1 online, but I see that my overall Ghs is slowing down to 135 Gh/s while they are default at 180 GH/s each. Can anyone explain this? So can a pool operator influence your miner speed in any way???
make sure your PSU's are sized right

I've been running two Antminers on a CX750M overclocked to 200GH for a week with no problems
Wow I could not get 2 to run at 180 GHS on my CX 750 as they would only run at @ 160 each

Hi, what do you recommend me?
I want to buy another S1.
Right now, i have 1 S1 Overclocked to 200 GH/s, with Corsair CX750M.
If i buy another one, i cant use it in the same PSU, unless i dont OC them.
So whats better??
2 S1 @180 GH/s with 1 Corsair CX750M? Or 2 S1 @200 GH/s with 1 Corsair CX750M each one?
Thanks
what are you paying for KW electric? You may be better to under volt. But I could not get two S1 running at 180 GH to run on a Corsair CX 750 they had a hard time getting over 150-160 GHS but both ran fine on one RM 850 Corsair.

Well crap..lol It was 259 shipped earlier. I should have pulled the trigger on that. I won't at 300. Hmm. thanks for that link. I was looking to buy just one and $259 shipped is not too bad. That seems to be the lowest I have seen after shipping.
More like $300 each!!!! sebuh price was simply stupid earlier today, he has ~$320 or $345 now with shipping. Go to my post, I have much better deal (as of right now). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=634036.0Who knows what will happen in an hour....stop whining about price, take action now before bitcoin is much higher and good luck. Sebuh price was not stupid at all. The units are in the US waiting to be shipped. The price was $229 just two days ago. He is just having to raise the price as BTC goes up. But I think Bitman will have a large drop in his pricing by the end of the week.
|
|
|
dont forget Sabuh.com as his price is at $239 + $20 shipping so $259 shipping from CO. http://sebuh.com his price has changed with BTC price as it was at $229 just a couple of days ago.

I find it hard to believe anybody that has $3.2 mil to throw at BTC mining is asking questions here without researching things first. Then maybe you would see that the chances of you getting 100% of your money back is slim to none by buying off the shelf equipment and installing the infrastructure needed to run a large farm. Mining BTC is not where the money is being made. If you think BTC is going to raise then buy coins.

I've managed to narrow the problem down... I'ts the connection to the (Slush) pool. I can connect to other pools (and mine without any problem) except for Slush Pool. My educated guess is I'm blocked and/or banned from the Slush pool, most likely under the suspicion for pool hopping.
I'll send Slush an e-mail to explain what happenend (new electrical wiring and sudden loss of internet connection - not pool hopping). I'll keep ya'll informed! Thanks for the help and support!!!
I don't think that is the problem at all.

well it's reported that 50BTC is not paying...so that is not a choice to tell people to go to. I mined at eligius for a while and was not happy with the way the payouts are done or that the stat page is always down. Which leaves us BTC guild on your list. I mined there before moving to GHash and find the pool operator the best for information and I use BTC guild for my back up pool and if I would switch this is where I would go.

I got the Fing app on my smart phone and it shows all devices on my router. Most say Shenzhen but I do have two that said Paragon Tech, but when you find it just use that IP address shown for it to access your miner.
