701  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: March 08, 2015, 08:40:27 PM
It seems when s0br has tried to answer questions, the answers are never enough as its not what the bashers what to hear. When I answer questions, ask questions or make statements either good or bad its coming from a miner who HAS mined on this pool, HAS pulled miners off at times over the last 6+ months  and has nothing to gain or lose by either talking good or trash about this pool. Its just all my honest opinion, take it for what its worth.
702  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jumping between pools as they slow down? on: March 08, 2015, 08:32:25 PM
I think I'll try to divide my hashes evenly 'Balance' it between 2 pools instead of hopping.

Thanks guys!

Good idea... I have mine split between BAN paying PPS so I get a set amount paid and Kano's pool paying PPLNS and am happy. I also have the miners on BAN set to rent hash on Westhash when the price hits my threshold.
703  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: March 08, 2015, 08:25:18 PM
Are you s0br?

No?  Then don't speak for him, there's plenty of spokesmen for him already.

Is s0br not man enough to post for himself? He's the one the questions are aimed at - nobody else.

And who are you to ask any questions about this pool? Have you mined on it? Are you even a miner at all? Last I checked this is a open pool thread and anybody can ask questions or answer. What a joke you REALLY are.
704  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: March 08, 2015, 08:04:31 PM

Yeah, I got one of those emails. So has s0br paid every miner back for the last six months? Seriously?  Roll Eyes

And what about his promise to post here? Hardly transparent is it?
What about the stolen hardware claim with proof?
What about him going into hiding after his scam was exposed?
What about the fake accounts he owns?
What about his fake pics he promised to "investigate"?
What about the two wallet thefts at exactly the same time he ran out of BTC?
What about all his lies?
Etc, etc.......

So has s0br paid every miner back for the last six months? Seriously?  Roll Eyes  The only think remotely that has a small merit in your whole posting but for anybody that has mined here for 6 months the amount that may have been short at the timing of difficulty change is very small compared to the bonus that has been paid in the past.

And what about his promise to post here? Hardly transparent is it? Would that make a difference to you as you say you got the email and I already posted it here once?

What about the stolen hardware claim with proof? What proof?? Wait because Black Arrow said so  hummm a creditably witness there  Roll Eyes and if remotely true then they can take legal action to resolve it in the courts instead of having you solve it here.

What about the fake accounts he owns? He has always said he had pool accounts and not sure why this would matter to anyone anyways?

What about his fake pics he promised to "investigate"? I only assume you mean pictures of miners from the giveaway.I am not sure if any pictures were fake or not (other than the ones I posted) but I CAN say that I was sent a S3 miner which was unopened and the shipping label had a tracking number that matched the list that was posted of the group of miners he had to give away. I also know of one other miner that received a miner for sure. I also know the whole giveaway was not handled right and s0br has let it be know that he wish he had never done it for the mess that it created

What about the two wallet thefts at exactly the same time he ran out of BTC? This is the biggest joke of your post? The compromising of his wallet happened months apart and even after the first one he was not late on payments as he just bought BTC to pay people. Most didn't know of the first theft until a week or two after it happened. It just so happened I was on IRC chat with s0br right after it happened and he at that time thought he had misplaced the coins from the blocks.

What about all his lies?  The man has not lied to me that I know of.
705  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 08, 2015, 12:14:49 PM

I've been trying to find an explanation as to how to read the cgminer screen that I posted and what values I'm supposed to be shooting for. This setting is the most stable (HW at .0003%), which is good, I think and not over .02 which is bad? Utility is miner efficiency? According to various articles i foung on google (they were all GPU based machines) utility needs to be high. On slush's pool its 20, antPool is what you see.

I guess what I'm really asking about is if my screen looks good and where do i need to make improvements?

I am wondering why your fan speed is so low?
706  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [PPS 2% fee] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits than direct mining BTC! on: March 08, 2015, 11:07:49 AM
There maybe other issues with the C1 miner on this proxy. I set it up so that my password was p=0.0117. Westhash was my first pool/proxy. Then I added my second pool. I reset my miners and they never started on the second pool, even though it indicated "live" in the status column. I think I have heard others talk about their rigs not jump down to the next pool. Any thoughts?

My S5's jump down in and out of Westhash as my price is hit but I have had my S3's sometimes just get stuck after leaving Westhash and not failover to my next pool.
707  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jumping between pools as they slow down? on: March 08, 2015, 10:43:14 AM
It depends on which pool your on just how bad you get hurt. As on Slush or p2pool if you hop off you can very well lose all your work and get paid zero for your shares.
In stead of pool hoping you can just split your miners up between a couple of pools makes more sense.
708  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: 2 AVA4.1s Won! [4400 TH] CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: March 08, 2015, 02:00:17 AM
Ugh. Stuck at another looong block..
no no not so fast 346616 stays here

Yeah after 22hours.. Ugh.
LOL - I wonder if there's too much information on the web site when a 163% block is called a 'looong block' Smiley
The CDF shows that 1/5 of blocks are expected to be longer than that.

well 163% is like me.  At 6 foot even I am the beginning of 'tall'

So it would be the beginning of long.

In basketball you would be short... in horse racing you would be very tall!
709  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pure Solo Mining on: March 04, 2015, 03:50:29 PM
Hey all, can seem to find a topic where i can set up my own mining pool. e.g I take the entire block unlike P2P pool. I have a nice little collection of miners now and would like to take the risk?

Does anyone know a link?

Thanks

Just use this pool https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.0

Much better than doing it alone, just pay the small fee well worth it

Edit: you will get the whole block if you find one less the small fee

710  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Load Balancing on an Antminer S3? on: March 04, 2015, 02:41:46 PM
I think I would steer clear of this option as I believe you will loss hash.
711  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: March 03, 2015, 08:36:28 PM
Well, I'm sorry to have to say that after using p2pool for nearly 3 years I am forced to move my hash away to a centralized pool. After over 2 years of trying to get some kind of development happening with p2pool without any success whatsoever, I really don't have any choice. The hash rate is falling daily, meaning soon even the suggestion made by IYFTech will not be viable, if it isn't already, due to lack of blocks being solved. Unless something is done NOW to get some kind of bounty organized, p2pool will be no more.

Time is running out ladies & gentlemen, good luck.

Very understandable as I moved mine already and all the hash I rented has been worthless. Stick a fork in me as I am done.
712  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: March 03, 2015, 02:55:14 PM
my almost 3 day results  are  .03930998 paid and 0.00195389  that is  0.04126387 earned.  in the next hour I will go over 0.042

1.3th for 3 days should be about 0.042 btc    I also earned some nmc  0.05  and doge 100

poolside has me about 1300gh for the 3 days  I did switch off on failover a few times.

I think this pool is worth some of your hash. -----As much as I want to put every machine here I won't here is my current mix

I have 1 sp20e here
I have 2 s-5's on kano's pool
I have 1 avalon on ck's solo pool  soon to be 2 machines
I have 1 s-5 on f2pool
I have 3sp20e's on west-nicehash
I have 1 s-5 on btcguild

I have mine split between BAN and Kano's and only use f2pool as a back up.

yeah I would do that ,but I sell my signature to west-nicehash and their pool owner-op is good to me..   Every day I have to check on 6 pools.  It does cut variance down.

I do use Westhash when the price is right but being out of town this week and my miners don't always come off there and switch over right to my other pools, so I had to not allow them to go to Westhash while I was gone.

And so far me renting hash has not worked out profitable to do it any more.

EDIT: I guess I did leave my S5's on Westhash and had them set for .012 as they switched over to Westhash a while ago. It's my S3's that sometimes don't switch back to my other pools after they come off Westhash and just set idol so I turned them off Westhash while I am gone.

Regarding Fridays server crash and the message.

I was the first one here on Friday to comment of an issue. The problem is with irregular payments, the difficultly changing recently, me adding another miner, how can I figure out any loss more then what I asked them in the help request I sent in?

Simply put, I need to see more data. And thus I guess I will need to start collecting the data myself via the limited API available--which recently got a little better. Still hoping for per miner status, instead of all my miners together.

Yes every time the pool has a problem it seems it's up to the miners to figure out how much you loss. I like most don't know but when I get time will have to see if what I got makes sence or not. In the past most times I was getting paid every two hours and with the old bonus it really didn't matter but now with no bonus and changing my payout to 12 hours it does matter. I will say the few times I did send in for loss payment it always got paid without questions.

You could might as well calculate it out on an average, lets say every 12 hours you get .50 btc but they only paid 0.40 btc. Just subtract the difference and ask for it.
Yes this is what I plan on doing. I am out of the country on vacation and will worry about when I get home.

Here is a email I got from s0br in case anybody didn't receive it:

[Bitcoin Affiliate Network - News Update] Server crash and lost shares....
Mar 2, 2015, 6:46 AM
From Gil
Details
Quick update...

We had a severe server crash this past Friday. We were able to restore everything within a couple of hours. I discovered the bug that caused the havoc and my fix introduced new bugs I wasn't aware of. The stratum servers went up and down yesterday as I was implementing fixes that weren't quite fixes. However, along with the fixes there are some new updates in the stratum/database code that seek to make share counting even more accurate and reliable. There were a handful of stratum servers that were dropping shares so I need everyone to check out their payment history and look for anything that looks like lost shares.

Please submit a trouble ticket or find us on IRC on freenode in #bitaffnet. In your ticket response please just give a btc amount of what you believe is missing and we will quickly reimburse you.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

There are a couple of new features to play with if anyone's interested...

1. We now support fixed difficulties.

If you'd like to specify your own difficulty, simply add ##DIFFICULTY to the end of your worker name. For example.. if your username is MrCool and your worker name is Ant1.... and you'd like a difficulty of 512.... use the following...

pool: geo.bitcoindigger.com:3333 username: MrCool.Ant1##512 password: whatever

2. A lot more work has gone into improving the stratum servers. They auto adjust based on the miner connecting to them in effort to reduce your invalids and improve your miner's performance.

3. Nicehash/Westhash support is back. Based on the latest updates (this morning), the share counting with their proxies should be pretty accurate.

Thanks...

-Gil (s0br)

your site is down.  how long before it comes up?

still seems to be mining according to my sp20's

This is a failover pool for me and have not been able to see my stats all morning. But I know BAN and BTCGuild were both having problems yesterday. Seems someone is attacking the frontend of the pools.
718  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: February 27, 2015, 10:04:28 AM
Angry Angry Angry

Oh man the Block gods have not been shining on P2Pool lately.  Getting another long stretch.

Yup and my rented hash is going to waste.
719  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: February 27, 2015, 09:55:25 AM
Anyone get paid for today yet?
My last two payments(8 hour payment choice), according to the site(and received), in UTC time:
2015-02-27 00:23:29
2015-02-25 23:04:05

It's 2015-02-27 07:35:52 UTC now, so I'll update this in another hour or so.

I really think they need to work on reducing their incurred sending fees. I'm sure it adds up.

EDIT:
As of 2015-02-27 09:26:30 UTC no eight hour recent payment.
Block 345273 needs 3 more confirms, then payments might be processed, who knows Smiley

Here is my last payment, but my miners have been back and forth between here and Westhash.

Current Time         2015-02-27 04:53:47
Last Payout Time   2015-02-26 19:10:44

Database down?

Seems to be.  Huh

Miners appeared to be mining but I needed to reset them as I wanted to change settings for Westhash Pool and when the miners restarted they would not reconnect to BAN.

EDIT: Its back up
