At the start of the 2022 season, the Storm, Panthers, Roosters and Sea Eagles round out the top four for betting odds for the season on a local betting platform with the Rabbitohs, Eels, Sharks and Titans filling the remaining top eight spots. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, the three Queensland teams (NQ Cowboys, Brisbane Broncos and Gold Coast Titans) are looking to rebuild after last years poor showing. Of the three I would have expected more money being poured into the Broncos, but the punters are expecting big things from the Titans.  Compare at the end of round 25 last year where the team rankings were Storm, Panthers, Rabbitohs, Sea Eagles, Roosters, Eels, Knights and Titans.

The first game this week is between the Moana Pasifika and Crusaders after the formers previous two games had to be postponed. New Zealand Rugby confirm postponement of Moana Pasifika-Chiefs gamehttps://www.rugby.com.au/news/moana-pasifika-game-against-chiefs-postponed-2022221 - Tue, 22/02/2022, 07:25 am Nathan Williamson Moana Pasifika's Super Rugby Pacific debut has once again been delayed as New Zealand Rugby and SANZAAR confirmed the postponement of their round two match against the Chiefs.
This comes as the first cohort of players and staff emerged from their Queenstown hotel on Sunday 20 February after nearly 10 days of isolation following positive COVID-19 cases in the group.
With their game already pushed back to Sunday, the Super Rugby Pacific Medical Advisory Group determined there was not sufficient time for the club to prepare for the match, further delaying their entry into the competition.
“Everyone wants to see Moana Pasifika out on the field, and we explored every possibility to make that happen this weekend including pushing the Chiefs' match out two days to Sunday," NZR Head of Tournaments and Competitions Cameron Good said in a statement.
“However, we were not willing to compromise player safety and well being, so in the end this was an easy decision.
"We remain committed to re-scheduling both of the postponed matches involving Moana Pasifika.”
NZR also revealed they are exploring the potential of clubs being cleared to return home as the country moves through Phase 2 of their Omicron response.
All six clubs have been based in Queenstown, with Good confirming they may be allowed to leave the bubble by the end of the round.
Of the remaining five games that round, the Waratas, Chiefs, Crusaders, Reds and Brumbies all won their matches.  Week Two will be played this week-end: I would expect the Brumbies, Blues and Brumbies to easily win their games. The Waratas might edge out the Qld Reds while the Blues should just make it over the Hurricanes but should be the game of the round if the latter's final score in week one can be replicated.  At the end of the weekend we are followed by the third round of the Six Nations: I expect Scotland and England to just get clear of France and Wales while It's going to be Guinness' all round when the Pizzas get delivered.
