If I bought 2 units of X-1 from minersource.net, do you think the shipping will be faster, compared to an order from BA itself?

How about we start a discussion about the price we want for a single miner, and at the same time what we expect the price will be? (as we all know, they're never the same)
Per the chip buy bulk pricing, chips work out to ~$10 a piece. I think it is safe to assume that if AM can sell sticks for ~$20 at one point the hardware and fab prices can't be above, say, double that at $40 - total $50. Even if they markup 50% that puts prices at $75. Not speaking in BTC terms because even .1 BTC at this point is absurd since it will never return that, especially with the next diff jump looming. But still, no info, no pictures, no concrete specs, no eta, no response to PM's... no clue what Bitmain is doing except pushing out S1's that are now definitely overpriced (thanks, KNC ). Yeah that kind of sounds right. I just have this feeling that it will take quite some time before they're finally available, but by then, 1.6GH/s isn't worth that much anymore because of the crazy diff. (and so you'd expect quite a fair price to buy one) But yeah... probably will still be around 0.1 BTC if not more, because there will still be people buying them anyway. I think you can mine alt coins (PPC, ZET, TGC) instead of just BTC with this babies.

still don't have tracking info from first 30 units....
same here, no tracking numbers. guess Bitmain is too busy now.

Well poop. Have an order that is presently in limbo, and would like to know if I made the batch 1 cutoff myself.
Have been waiting for a response from sales about submitting a payment :| Order #229x
double poop, I'm in exact same boat. orders #154x and #168x for (6) X3's that was meant to of been a group buy with my friends. now my friends that don't understand the bitcoin business think I've duped them. I'm fucked from both ends.
Don't take this the wrong way please but you kinda have, if you did not fully explain the extreme risk involved with any pre-order ASIC minesr then they are kinda right IMO. you're right and I have tried to explain to them as best as I can that this is risky, and there's good chance (probably 95% chance) that they probably won't see their money back. And I keep telling them if you want in on bitcoin and want a chance of making a profit, the best way would be just buy bitcoin and hold. Still they wan't to be miners and not take my advice to just buy bitcoin. hell, I was telling my friends to buy bitcoins just after 'Silk Road' was busted (I think it was October 2nd) and bitcoin was just over $80 the day after the bust. oh well, Live and learn I've learned over the years that mixing friends and financial advice to often leads to lost friendships. I've lost more than one good friend because of bad investments (both ways mine and theirs unfortunately). I try to keep the two as independent from each other as I can. Do not mix social advise from contractual ones. Everybody wants to get rich quick but does not want to work hard or do the necessary due diligence. I know because I live in a developing country where everybody is a bystander until their neighbour buys a Ferrari with bitcoins. Then the BTC scammers arise from the darkest sewage. C'est la vie.
