1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some needed features of an online casino. on: May 17, 2023, 02:20:43 PM
1. They can use more secured ways to identify the real identity of their customer, the best thing to do here, aside from valid ID is they should add "take a selfie" on identity process.
2. They can also set a time limit of playing for a player, give notification if this would be their last game anymore for today.
3. Set a notification showing how long they've been playing.
1. Do you think licensed casino nowadays aren't asking selfie picture as a KYC verification? it's more than that, they even ask driving license, your bank account, your monthly check etc. However selfie picture isn't really a valid proof, what if his parent already took it for verifying an exchange or he lie to his parent the selfie will used for a good thing?

2. and 3. Nope, casino is want to make a lot money, why they need to stop a gambler who's keep losing?
Never encountered platforms asking for these personal details such as bank details (aside from bank number) and specific IDs and I think there's no need to especially in this industry wherein anonymity is supported. If casinos would push such they should rather be on Centralized margin or fiat based.

Features on the other which I guess would be helpful in gambling platforms and players themselves would be instant deposits during or halfway your play time and not a repetitive procedure for a single day. Quite of a 'one click' feature. Also an enhanced bot detector.
1542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST TIMEZONE FOR SPORTsBETTING on: May 17, 2023, 11:47:33 AM
Would it matter on sportsbetting? The match you are about to bet with, is only between two opposing teams; how come things, odds, or chances to win a bet, would depend to timezone? I more expect timezone to be effective on other gambling games such as dice, cardgames, and other luck games wherein odds of winning might(but not assured) change varying across timezones. My personal point on this stand is winning continuously during early morning on my timezone, but did not solely rely into it. Things do still change, I just observed that I win more often on the mentioned games above. But still, I won't gamble my luck with such basis that has no strong basis.
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: May 17, 2023, 11:28:47 AM
In almost everything in this world, patience is a must if you are seeking for success. However, in gambling patience should also managed. Not because you are patient you will already guarantee winning the game, that would more depend on your luck. Patience will only be effective in gambling in particular with sportsbetting but in a way of using statistics and researching for fighters' previous fights but still won't guarantee assured profit since there's no certainty with positive outcomes; anything could happen in a match. Much more with pure-luck gambling games wherein no matter how long you wait for fate to go in favor of your end, patience will save you. Another instance on using patience as an advantage in gambling is waiting for a match which has a good odds, also in sportsbetting.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 17, 2023, 07:49:51 AM
Never heard of such. The only aspect which I think is existing and somewhat related with the 'play and pay later' you have mentioned is free spins and other welcome bonuses which allows players to play and have a chance to win without depositing the usual required amount. But an actual aspect which would allow a player to somewhat borrow an amount like a loan to a gambling site, is something which is not familiar on my awareness.

It would only be possible if you'd go through actual lending procedures such as borrowing an amount you can use to play. However, I won't suggest this way still. Imagine losing the money and still with the responsibility of actually paying an amount.
1545  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 16, 2023, 04:55:30 PM
Is it safe or dumb to use your Credit card for online gambling because of free bonus rewards on signup and initial 3 months purchase? Will you take such risks with your card for such rewards? A friend informed me that some casinos gives better reward if you have a credit card with high credit score at around 800, he mentioned how he make 200$ from Freedom Flex after using over 600$. He also mentioned other like capital one

What are the disadvantages of using a credit card on online casinos? Any? Would you dare do such to earn more money?
I'd rather not and choose other platforms which won't require me to do so. It is safe than to be sorry right? Bonuses are good but if it would endanger my savings then that's a big no for me. Only engage if you really trust that gambling platform or if it has a good reputation in this industry. But as I've said it would be better to move to other platform and to act safely especially in this industry where anonymous transactions really occur. Ddisadvantage is somehow giving personal information such as bank details even if that is just your card number so just to avoid worse things to happen, just be patient until you found another platform which would  more go inline with your demands.
1546  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 16, 2023, 03:59:17 PM
Something happened in my locality and I just wonder if that's how we also behave in the online space.

So, they're always a group of rougues in my country, they're often sited in the market place where there's a reasonable population, what's their work???

The have things in a martch box like stones and sticks, they'll ask you to pick the one out of it that has something, depending on what the want....

At first, when you pick, they'll let you win so as to drag your attention, then subsequent wins, you'll be at the losing side and the make sure the drain your pockets entirely.

So, just last week, this lady fell a victim and she was shouting and crying, the had obviously emptied her pocket and even gotten her phone from her in the process of the gambling.

My thoughts, is this how we often feel when we lose out on a bet??
Do you wish the site can refund your money??

Gambling should be your choice, you shouldn't let anyone compel or persuade you into it.

You've said it already; that's their business which is to take advantage of other people. Ofcourse gambling is a choice and is nothing requiring an individual to engage. It is our inner drives and desires which pushes us to engage in gambling with expectations of earning huge in an instant. As cited, people were just encouraged by themselves to do so which already answers whether their money should be returned or not 'coz it would be a different feeling if ever they win the game. If you really think they are cheating on people, you may report their activity to the authority to check if they have papers on their operation. But there's no such possibility that your money will be returned.

It will just be a lesson learned to not engage with gambling if you are not ready to lose a certain amount of your wallet.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some points that can make the airdrop hunters safe! on: May 15, 2023, 11:59:08 PM
Whenever you see some advertisement for an airdrop. It will either be a useless airdrop or the airdrop will be a scam. Right now there are so many ZkSync and Metamask airdrops, I am not surprised people are getting scammed left and right.

These days to get an airdrop that’s worth something it’s a lot of work. Takes months of playing around with the network. You won’t get a 4 figure airdrop just because you go to a website and claim it for doing nothing. Hence why there are these scams.
I agree. Those whoch are being advertised are ones which are risky to be involved with. On my end, I am checking for some airdrops in this forum and if it has the potential, I am making a follow up reading on their site and check reviews of that particular project through social media platforms. However it does not guarantee that a project would be paying. Problem here is that, you'd only know an airdrop is non-paying or a scam once they show it or once they have done it. And such thing would be hard to determine along the process. But some things to consider I guess is general project's activity and engagement to the community. If they aren't as responsive as they should be, then I guess that would be suspiscious.
1548  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 15, 2023, 11:44:20 PM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?
Depends on where you are using your money with. If it is just 'wants' you are using your money, then would you be expecting for returns? Also with investments, the bigger the amount the bigger the return indeed . However, that will depend on the chosen asset whether it will have the potential to do so. If you have a fixed income, then spending more would leave you with less amount. Best thing is to stretch your income in order to spend more; get some profitable assets. The thing here is that, you cannot extend your expenses if you have limited sources, then expecting that you'd still have money for other things. Bottomline here is having a limited fund, and that is where your solution should be done.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin IS an asset. Do you think it's bad? on: May 15, 2023, 11:22:56 PM
It is supposed to be an alternative currency to fiat but has certain chracteristics which is advantageous. However, Bitcoin is more beneficial to users as a form of asset or investment. One reason why Bitcoin is not widely being used as a currency is because of its adoption issues concerning countries. Many countries still are not supporting this technology's usage due to taxation and volatility issues.  It is being used as an investment on the other hand 'coz investors are making use of its volatile market price at a higher rate in comparison with other assets such as Gold. If it is a bad thing, I'd say no. People are free to use Bitcoin on any way they would want to. We cannot force people to use Bitcoin as a currency 'coz they'd be at guilt from doing so, missing the opportunity to earn profit especially when market prices goes up.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You are still very early on: May 14, 2023, 11:49:23 PM
To say the least, I choose to invest in bitcoin as an asset like gold. Because, over the past decade, bitcoin still exists and its potential for development is still there, the liquidity in the market has also gradually started to become more stable than before. So choosing it as an accumulative asset is a good thing. If you want to make money faster in this market, I think it is reasonable to switch to altcoins because the push of the fish can make a coin x10 x20 and reach the top 500 coin markets easily.
Right now, it's better to focus on Bitcoin first. Bitcoin is like the benchmark and reference point for all other cryptocurrencies out there.

Although some altcoins can bring in huge profits, many of them are still questionable. It's not really a benefit to ditch Bitcoin for altcoins just because they have the potential to make more money. The truth is, fundamentally speaking, altcoins are not better than Bitcoin.

You must have noticed, haven't you? Many altcoins come and go, which proves that they still can't compare to Bitcoin in terms of significance.

We don't need to give up bitcoin entirely and switch to altcoins, but to maximize profits, we can allocate a small portion of capital to altcoins.  why do we always stubbornly only invest in bitcoin when many altcoins are offering better returns?  it's like when we curse billionaires like warren buffett or Bill Gates, who don't know anything about bitcoin and they are only loyal to gold and real estate.  No one said altcoins are better than bitcoin in terms of technology, but do we invest for profit or for technology? There is no denying that altcoins offer better returns.
In terms of technology, they are all the same. On the other hand, there are people who only invest in Bitcoin simply because they want to lessen the risk of losing because of the idea that the market price of Bitcoin is less likely to fall in an instant and as deep as worse expected. Indeed it would be better to diversify investment but to some, diversifying would mean bigger risk. Since we have different viewpoints in this industry, and all having the same chances of not getting an assured return from what we have invested, then that is I guess, not wrong.

As Op have pointed out, there's still a long way. By the rule and relationship of demand and supply, the price is meant to increase with sky as the limit but that is only if, the demand would be continuously increasing as well in the future. Indeed it is still early and not too late for those who wants to but atleast find that price point where you would be confident no matter how the market behave.
1551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats Your Favourite Meme Coins? on: May 14, 2023, 11:18:37 PM
SHIB I guess, it has a bigger 24hr volume than DOGE but the opposite with their market caps. Well $PEPE has larger twenty-four hour volume but not on my consideration 'coz it has been released in the exchanger I am using, just recently and its price have already fell below its price when it was released which for me shows very high market price volatility. Likewise with Floki I think. I have no other basis 'coz these are just meme coins and there are no utility to drw concludions from. Also, it is hard to predict price actions for meme coins so I am not extending my time looking at their charts to be honest.
dogecoin remains the first. he has now been reined in by Elon Musk. now which meme coin can rival Elon Musk right now? of course not. Even though now the movement is stagnant, the announcement of full support by Elon Musk was very profitable for Dogecoin holders. I'm sure they are not easy to forget this.
utility sucks but meme coin good. Doge will be going to reach new ATH in the next bull season.
As believed, has chance. But I doubt with assurance. I do expect the increase on such tokens' market value during altcoin season and that is after the bull run.
1552  Economy / Speculation / Re: $35,000-$37,000 for Bitcoin in 2023 as my peaking barrier, is breakout feasible? on: May 14, 2023, 10:49:02 PM
I'd Agree with $35k as a barrier to break out $38k to $40k this year. Right now we are around $26k but atleast on the first wuarter the price managed to reach $31k from a very low market value last year. The price is  progressive and is recovering but still we are far from its ATH. However, progress is progress. The cycle in this blockchain is that, the price would always be back and is meant to break previous ATH but I am never expecting such thing to occur even in the future. Once all the Bitcoin are mined, will the demand continue to rise? Technically it should be but for the reason that Bitcoin is not accepted as a mode of payment to he used on a daily basis, which should sustain demand, I think we are not yet sure of this one. The price may fall 'coz the only reason why it is rising is due to the increase on demand but in purpose of investment.
1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My experience with memorizing seed phrases on: May 14, 2023, 09:37:38 PM
It can be put in memory indeed by memorizing. I do get the idea which is to avoid writing it up on a piece of paper and minimizing the risk of other people getting access into it but still, I'd suggest having a physical copy of it even in code, just to be sure 'coz human mind is limited and there will always be that risk of forgetting things out of some uncontrollable reason. Another factor I guess is that, not all investors here are logging out their wallet in their device which makes sense to say that not all investors are accessing their funds with the use of seed phrase. Given that it won't or is not in a daily routine, then that supports the idea of eventually forgetting.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience. on: May 14, 2023, 02:58:50 PM
I was joining bounty from year 2017 till present i have experience joining different signature and social media campaign with good  earnings and there are also campaigns that is not profitable  and sometimes there are campaign that doesn't pay, because the project does not reach the hard cap when they launch ICO, most of the projects pays token that is not listed on exchange and we need to wait a months or maybe a year before we can sell our tokens and get the profit and sometimes we also buy tokens from the good projects that we promote and hold, can we considered the patience of the bounty hunter same as the investors patience?
Both investors and bounty hunters have invested into projects; investors with money while hunters with their time and effort. But personally, as both a bounty hunter and investor, I think I can easily move on with wasted effort and time than with wasted money, if ever the project turns out to be non-paying. I cannot really be more specific with the feeling but this is how I viewed things eversince I entered this industry. But I do understand those who who be in contrast with my stand 'coz we have different perspectives and viewpoints. But one thing is for sure emotion would be the same but not with the weight of the feeling or emotion, as I personally experienced.
1555  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN BULL MAY BE IN TROUBLE on: May 14, 2023, 02:25:08 PM
Actually, the anticipated Bitcoin halving does not assure a bull trend, the only teason why uptrend is associated with halving is because of what happened from the previous one. But with Ethereum fork, it wasn't as huge as with Bitcoin's which somehow supports the idea of lack of certainty with price movement to what is anticipated. Inspite of high hopes, manage still the risk of expecting that much. We are in crypto industry and nothing is certain here. We may only assume but to be hookep up with those expectations will never be advisable. As OP havee mentioned, pattern was broken already by this year's price movement. For now being patient is all we can do until that 'thing' happen.
1556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much does Bitcoin affect other cryptocurrency? on: May 14, 2023, 01:53:45 PM
I think Bitcoin is so influential towards other cryptocurrencies especially in terms of market prices. Well, indeed there's this thing called altcoin season wherein prices of other coins are increasing in contrast with the market price behavior of Bitcoin but most of the time, Bitcoin's price action triggers either uprise and downfall of other crypto's value. One good example is previous ATH of Bitcoin wherein most of cryptos' also reached ATH and likewise when correction occured same thing happened with others. But in terms of general usage, there is I think where parallelism ends. Not all cryptos are being used in a platform even if Bitcoin is most of the time an option.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: May 13, 2023, 10:51:39 PM
Right now, it would be only good for swing trades but not with long term holding. $PEPE is a meme token and we all know how things go likewise with DOGE and SHIB to name a few. Utility is not there so we cannot hope for sustainability on its market value unlike other cryptocurrencies in this industry. The market price is solely dependent with the demand. Indeed upon its release, there was a massive increase on its value but not longer than a day, it suddenly fall and that simply indicates that investors took profit already. If there is a clear bull trend, then there could be a chance for an increase but if it is with normal market behavior, I doubt investing at this moment that the price is falling.
1558  Economy / Economics / Re: Deposits-in the bank or in gold? on: May 13, 2023, 06:06:51 PM
Well gold is a better option especially if you are into  long term holding;rate of increase is higher which will basically generate profit but this is only if you can provide the security to your asset. The advantage of bank is them handling your money for you and that includes securing your funds. Unlike with investments such as gold, you are the one responible for it whether its price would fall or lost assets. Therefore it is a matter of preference.
How to save savings in inflation, there are many deposits provided by the bank, but banks often go bankrupt, does it make sense to buy gold? How is gold bought in a bank and interest is issued on it?
Bank Deposit or Bank FD are not profitable now.  Because the bank gives a maximum interest of 4-7% but every year the price of goods in the country is increasing at a higher rate, so if you keep money in the bank, the value of the money is decreasing. so now the best plan is to invest in a strong and valuable asset like gold, land etc. these will hold the value of money. If we focus on digital assets, then Bitcoin is also a solid investment asset. Here too some money can be invested.
I agree, the increase with the depositied value is not catching with the faster rate of increase on the price of marketable goods. Therefore, it is just more of ystematic way of saving. Banks would also imply taxes with transactions which is a disadvantage from choosing a profitable asset.
1559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still do business with them? on: May 13, 2023, 05:33:06 PM
I know that many other centralized exchanges may declare bankruptcy - but let's ignore this for a moment and assume that these companies gets back in business would you patronize them? Would you still do business with them? I know the whole talk of move your bitcoin off centralized exchanges but we cannot denial the fact they that they still play an important role in the crypto community.
(.....)
I remember before when I just starting to explore cryptocurrency, Bittrex is one of the many exchanges I am using, it's just sad to hear this.
For me, it's all good as long as they are transparent to their customers and all funds are still accessible and users can still withdraw them. This is somehow difference on what happened on FTX Exchange.

Definitely a case to case basis. Not all exchanger bankruptcy means abandonment of their users, some are still minding of how would they be able to return the funds to their consumers. But since it is asked whether to still patronize an exchanger which is from bankruptcy, I'd day it depends on how it ended with regards to their previous dilemma. If they managed to not leave their users then there'd a tendncy that they will come back stronger. But if they created a bad impression already, then it will not be worth of our time and money. This is not to be discriminativr but just putting a sense of safeguarding our funds. Never settle for less if you have better options in this industry.
1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: May 13, 2023, 04:23:16 PM
Is it only with altcoins?

People are so dumb. You take safemoon as an example but if you are also watching all time chart and you will be seeing how this shit scam token dumped so hard. People care about gambling their money to the shit scam coin. They never fear to lose it.

They think that if betting in shit scam token like that is far better for them. Altcoins being used only for gambling purpose.
They already understand that it's not a good choice but because they get greedy, that's what makes them choose it anyway. It's as if they are gambling by buying tokens or coins, which can be fraud and even though they know it, they still buy it in the hope that they can benefit from the tokens. Indeed, sometimes we can benefit from investing in tokens like that, but we don't know which will give us a profit and which will be a fraud. They should decide to invest in bitcoin only so they will not become victims of fraud from irresponsible projects.
The idea of high risk and high rewards, drive those investors. Whether it is a good thing to do or not, no one would be able to tell 'coz if they manage to come up with a huge win, those who did not believe in them would be put in silence. For sure they are aware of the chances of losing, no doubt. Except for those who are just easily carried away by their emotion and those who are just following what's solely popular. Not totally wrong except for their entry points wherein some would enter when prices are at peak, expecting for a higher market value. Unfortunately, things does not work as simple as that. Even simple price action would give you the answer to the question whether it would be still profitable to engage in a particular token, halfway of the increase. Bottomline is, we are all guessing how will the market price behave. Difference only is with basis or hunch as is.
