15401  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who own bpip.org? on: March 28, 2020, 08:35:39 AM
By looking at his post history I don't think he attempted to scam anyone or defraud.
It's better to give him negative trust for impersonating someone now, than when he ranked up his account. User "bpip.org" has nothing to lose now and can just create another account if he wants to become a productive forum member.
15402  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's Weekly Trust list overview in Human Readable Format on: March 28, 2020, 08:07:25 AM
Update:

The Trust list data is up to date. However, the Trust scores are based on last week's data (scraped about 9 days ago), because my scraper can't login anymore. I don't know why yet, I hope to have this fixed next week.
15403  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: allow on-forum altcoin giveaways for established altcoins on: March 28, 2020, 07:59:43 AM
Here's my solution. Allow everything, but create a special subsection for Altcoin promotional giveaways and here's where the forum benefits. Require every giveaway thread to donate 1 million sats to the forum.

The spam is limited to that board. The forum gets some money. It's win-win.
Theymos said the forum doesn't need money (it owns ~1250 Bitcoin).
Even at the peak of ICO spam, when almost every ICO turned into a scam, they could create their Bounty threads with thousands of zombies posting virtually unrestricted. If they didn't have to pay the forum for doing so, I don't think a giveaway should have to pay either.
15404  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's Trust score images - request them here (and use in a post/table/BBCode) on: March 27, 2020, 07:35:36 PM
This is (temporarily?) broken Sad I can't figure out why my scraper can't log in anymore, so I can't read Trust data Sad
15405  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: allow on-forum altcoin giveaways for established altcoins on: March 27, 2020, 06:46:48 PM
Allowing one altcoin giveaway to be discussed here and denying another doesn’t seem to fit with free speech.
I don't see what this has to do with free speech. You can still discuss any shitcoin elsewhere, you just can't give them away. Just like it is now for that matter.

And - correct me if I'm wrong - it's not the actual giveaways that are forbidden, it's the "I want to join this giveaway, here's my address" type of posts. In other words, if someone wants to run an altcoin giveaway outside of the forum and even link it here - that should be fine. As long as they don't incentivize low-effort posting/bumping.
That is indeed my understanding. Viewing this from a different angle I don't even know why low-effort posting for a Bitcoins giveaway is allowed.

What bothers me is the rule of banning and if you got me earlier then it's not very friendly rule which is obviously confusing or we would not see so many users got trapped in it including a lot of us who are well aware of the rules and respect it by heart. Do you think some of the users really care much about those altcoin if they had this in mind in the next morning they will see they are banned? The answer is of course NO.
I had this in mind too, when I posted my suggestion. I get where the instant temporary ban is coming from, namely ending spam. But many other rules can be broken without an instant ban. Spamming referral links for instance will only get your post deleted, and I don't believe joining a giveaway deserves a bigger punishment.

Currently there's very little stopping a casino or an exchange from creating a thread with a promotion saying "Go to our website, enter "bitcointalk.org" as a promo code, and receive 1 billion shitcoins that we now accept."  As far as I know that would not be against the rules, and no spam will result from it.
Correct. But why would they do that, if they barely get any publicity that way? For the same reason Bitcointalk allows millions of "proof of authentication" posts: the spammers promote the thread, and again, I find this worse than joining a giveaway with real value.

but this negative consequence is made worse by the fact that most of the world will be spending an increased amount of time on the internet in the coming weeks.
It's like we're all grounded.

Didn't see anyone complain before this 7 day ban that got cut short.
Correct, the fact that that many well-known users thought posting there wouldn't be a problem made me doubt the current rules.

@LoyceV what do you mean by established shitcoins? Top 10 CMC:
Several of those I've never used. But if someone were to offer a $100 giveaway, I wouldn't mind checking how to convert it to Bitcoin.

I think an on the record /public apology by the likes of mprep etc is warranted.
I couldn't disagree more. Don't blame the messanger, mprep is just fair to all, without special treatment for established users.
15406  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Lauda still on DT? (taking requests!) Update: added Changelog! on: March 27, 2020, 10:00:03 AM
Welp, maybe peloso and the other Turkish baboons can pay for its renewal and any other associated costs. Cheesy
Dot.tk domains need a creditcard to be extended. I keep that information away from crypto.

Nope, http://istimelord2067ondtyet.tk/ has the same problem at the moment.
Then I think you have two issues.    Wink
I found the issue, but I'm not sure how to fix it: My scraper uses LoyceBot's browser cookie to download data that's only available after for registered users. It stopped working, which broke my Trust Flag Viewer too.
The cookie is still valid, so I'm not sure what changed.
15407  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Lauda still on DT? (taking requests!) Update: added Changelog! on: March 27, 2020, 09:49:09 AM
Nope, http://istimelord2067ondtyet.tk/ has the same problem at the moment.
Please delete the website thank you.
I've canceled the domain. That means someone else can now register it.

Please don't loyce, I think it's still useful to others.
This whole thing started as a joke, with temporary domain names.

To me, this is public data (taken from DT1 changes log right, more or less?) Therefore, I'd argue anyone is welcome to "re-format" this publicly accessible data and present as they please.
Correct. And if I'd make this data for all users, I wouldn't censor it, but it's a joke targeting only a few users.

I will not request mine to be taken down I like it.  Grin
Good Smiley It expires in August though.
15408  Economy / Services / Re: 💰 Review MyCryptoMixer.com and receive 0.002 BTC 💰 on: March 26, 2020, 09:03:35 PM
I received a 0.003 BTC to test the mixer, so I did Smiley
First, I had to adjust my Tor settings to "Safer" instead of "Safest":
Image loading...
This is unfortunate, it would be great if the site can work in the safest possible browsing mode.

The 0.003 BTC I received wasn't enough to pay for fees and still meet the minimum mixing amount (0.003 BTC), so I used other funds. That gave me a chance to use the QR-code, and scan it with a tablet. Note that it's always wise to check if the scanned address matches the one shown on the screen. This worked as expected.

Things I've noticed
Changing the mixing time isn't very intuitive: I can't click where it says "After 2 hrs", which is what I expected to do. I use a small screen for my Tor browser, so I had to scroll a bit to find where to change this. If I add a new address after adjusting the mixing time, everything resets again. The same happens when I remove an address. I can imagine this is annoying if a user sets many different receiving addresses.
I choose "Instantly", so I can complete my review tonight.

Maximum amount
Quoting the site:
Quote
Transfer between 0.0030 BTC and 1.0825 BTC to the following address:
The maximum is quite low, is that because you're still testing? I wouldn't recommend anyone to send a full Bitcoin to a new mixer (or any new website for that matter), but if you increase this amount in the future, can you provide proof of funds? This could be done by a signed message sent to a trusted person (note that Cloudflare can read every PM you send, who can then confirm it without publishing your addy.

Letter of Guarantee
I've seen other mixers with a PGP signed LoG, but it's much easier to check if you can sign a message from a Bitcoin address instead. Anyone who uses Bitcoin should already have a wallet that can check this, while PGP software is less standard for Bitcoin users. I for one downloaded the LoG, but didn't verify it. I do recommend anyone to confirm the LoG before depositing though, especially when sending larger amounts.
Can you stake your PGP key somewhere that shows you haven't edited it yet? You can for instance post it in this thread.

Contact
I contacted support to test their response time: 33 minutes. I can't tell if they're available at any hour of the day, but this is a pretty good start.

Finished
The funds were sent to my (native SegWit) addy after one confirmation. Everything worked as expected.

Miscellaneous
Overall, the site works just fine. I haven't tried to link the input and output addresses through the blockchain though.
The transaction fee used was pretty close to the fee I was charged (0.25 mBTC per output addy). If that's always the case, this could make it easier to link transactions to your mixer. The fee was also a bit higher than the highest fee Bitcoin Core currently recommends. That means you could be wasting more money on fees than necessary.

Oh well, our GTM is ultra important because our SEO guys can not live without it.
Your SEO guys should also man up and get rid of Google in the source code Tongue

please note many other mixers also use CloudFlare or other doubtful provider for their clearnet service.
Although it's true that there are other mixers that use Cloudflare, great mixers don't use it. Taking privacy to the absolute maximum achievable level is how a mixer can show they care about privacy.
15409  Other / Meta / Re: Lastest post on top of the thread on: March 26, 2020, 06:35:52 PM
Wouldn't it will be better if we may see the last page / post of the thread first ?
No. Usually, I click to go to the latest unread post from my Watchlist.
15410  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: allow on-forum altcoin giveaways for established altcoins on: March 26, 2020, 05:47:58 PM
Doesn't this include moderators making decisions about which altcoins are shitty and which are not ?
A bit. But even the shitty ones can have value, so it will come down to whether or not they can be exchanged for Bitcoin. The next problem will be coins that are only traded on shitty exchanges. I'm glad I don't have to think of all the details, all I do is make a suggestion Tongue
15411  Other / Meta / Suggestion: allow on-forum altcoin giveaways for established altcoins on: March 26, 2020, 05:03:19 PM
Two days ago, I wrote this in response to theymos ending the 7-day ban on many users:
Slightly off-topic (but not worth a new thread): would you consider updating the altcoin giveaway rules? I imagine those rules were made when many worthless altcoins were spamming the forum (kinda like the current bounty threads), but if someone is giving away some real value of an established altcoin that can be exchanged for Bitcoin, shouldn't that be allowed?
It's going to be tough to set a minimum, and there's going to be border cases, but the minimum could be for instance worth $50 or 0.01 BTC. There are currently topics (such as this one) with thousands of posts for a $250 giveaway. It's in Bitcoin, so it's allowed, but it's clearly a thread nobody is going to read.
So: shouldn't for instance a 40,000 Dogecoin giveaway be allowed too?
I received a PM asking to create this thread anyway, and my post in the locked thread will soon be forgotten, so here it is Cheesy

A better description may be to allow on-forum altcoin giveaways if the giveaway is not meant to promote the altcoin itself (which is probably what lead to spam in the past), but instead promotes for instance a website (this could be a casino, a mixer, or an exchange) that uses the altcoin . The coin itself shouldn't be the main reason for the giveaway, but it should be worth enough to have an actual cost for the company that runs the giveaway. So no tokens make up out of thin air (like the Bounty board).

Background of this request: this now deleted thread offered 8000 TRX as a prize, currently worth $92. I don't think a promotion like that hurts the forum, so I'd like those to be allowed.
15412  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Lauda still on DT? (taking requests!) Update: added Changelog! on: March 26, 2020, 12:40:18 PM
there is same error again
Lauda has now 2 exclusions but is show 0
Thanks, I'm not sure why this is happening though. It's not a connection problem this time.

It looks like the system treats includes 0 and excludes 0 differently, and sticks with the current status (YES or NO) when it hits 0.  I bet if Lauda were to go UP 1 and then DOWN 1, Lauda would then show as 0 inclusions.
Nope, http://istimelord2067ondtyet.tk/ has the same problem at the moment.
15413  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT-members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: March 26, 2020, 12:33:52 PM
These groups destroy bitcoin.
If any sort of "group" could destroy Bitcoin, it would deserve it. Bitcoin's strength is that it doesn't care what any "group" does.

Please stay (a bit) on topic Smiley
15414  Economy / Services / Re: 💰 Review MyCryptoMixer.com and receive 0.002 BTC 💰 on: March 26, 2020, 10:28:54 AM
You probably not seeing anything because your security setting is set at a safer/safest level.
Correct. In my opinion a mixer should work in that setting.
15415  Economy / Services / Re: 💰 Review MyCryptoMixer.com and receive 0.002 BTC 💰 on: March 26, 2020, 09:52:04 AM
Working fine here. It has all the functionalities and complete pages. You should try it again, Are you using tor on mobile?
How are your Tor security settings? I used Tor on my desktop.

If you make a long list of words you want to search, this largely increases the chance of finding at least some of them.

I thought it was obvious: I got an empty page, and I didn't lower my Tor Security Level to see if that changes anyting.
