The only way to get the credit according to their support is to pay with PayPal and then contact them with the order ID. They will then manually deduct the amount from the order. I too tried placing an order over a week ago with BTC after they first told me I had a credit and no credit was shown or applied on the order along with no coupon. I contacted their support again and they gave the pay with PayPal and contact them answer others have also received.

i will try this on tuesday.
15562  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: November 18, 2019, 05:32:28 PM
So I am home.  I tried a btc order and seemed to not received a btc credit.

I will let it expire

15563  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: November 18, 2019, 02:13:55 PM
I have sent them multiple copies of the order. it was a btc order. i did all paypal orders after this,  but if you are correct
i could try a btc order now and see what they do.

i don't have access to any btc as i am on the road.

i will be home in a few hours i can try to order and see what they do.
15564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: November 18, 2019, 12:39:34 PM
Anyone using ryzen 9 3900x to mine?

i built three rigs.

gear seems pretty good.
15565  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: November 18, 2019, 12:31:57 PM
we need to stick together and keep asking for what is due to us.
I am on the road and will be home later today. When i get home i will review my notes on my pc.
i will post here and update. i will also contact them and ask for updates.

Truly frustrated on this. as i am not only waiting on my 114.
i am waiting on my 865 and two late units of gear. now nine days late. 100 th at 9 days is

900 x 0.00001915 =. 0.017235btc lost in earnings.
15566  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer S9 Volt Rocket Ship firmware mod! ~ALL S9 MODELS INCLUDING S9i S9j~ on: November 18, 2019, 01:22:30 AM
I would love to test it out.  I ordered a spare s17 controller for testing.
15567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: November 18, 2019, 12:10:35 AM
Phill, if you bought any gear after the price difference has been  credited to you then it should have been deducted from that gear price, this is what happened to me when i bought T17e dec batch, i had to pay less than the total amount , there was some btc balance in my account and it could have only come from those S9ks.

As for the coupons, i wish we could trade them here, i am looking to buy coupons but it's impossible to do business in the market place now, 99% of those sellers are scammers.

i am yet to,see the 114 credit or 114 refund for that purchase.

2x s9k don’t have my refund or credit.

i have purchased

2x t17e- late 8 days and they need a 865 adjustment.

1x t17 - not due to ship this generated a 150 coupon

1x s17 - shipped arrived and it generated a 683 coupon
1x s17pro - shipped arrived and it generated a 368 coupon used the 150 coupon here

1x s17pro - shipped arrived and i used the 683 coupon
1x s17pro - waiting for it to ship and i used the 368 coupon

1x t17+ not due to ship i used a 375 coupon that no one has explained to me where it came from or why i got it.

so i have 2x 17e that are 8 days late that i need an 865 refund
i have 2x s9k.  that are delivered and need a 114 refund
i have a mystery 375 coupon issued that i spent.

while the unexplained 375 coupon was nice.  but 865+114=979 that is not very good.
also the two t17e eight days late. thats about 130.

so 1109 downside and a 375 upside means i am short 734.

i also think the s17 pro i purchased at 1999 that was delivered may generate a 400 dollar coupon due to the price drop to 1599.

what’s annoying is i am ready to shop and buy more s17pro if they fix the mess they made.

i have power for more gear. maybe 6-10 more units.
15568  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: November 17, 2019, 10:28:46 PM
phill, did you get an email similar to this ?

i got the exact same email. yet to get refund  in btc.

as to purchase of a coupon
i self mod my sales threads 🧵.

i never lock them unless the items are sold or no longer for sales.

If you lock a thread and are looking to sell not allowing conversations in public in many cases you are a risky seller.

during spring in 2018 i escrowed the sale of 300 coupons. many for the same guy.

i would never send btc first to buy a coupon. i would tell people i want an escrow.

this thread is more about dealing with bitmain and getting proper refunds. credits , coupon discount etc.
it is also about using your coupon correctly.

altough i guess one could argue that selling one of your multiple coupons does belong in this thread.
15569  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Estimate power consumption at v/freq combination on: November 17, 2019, 10:09:38 PM
Is there some formula to estimate power consumption from V/Freq combination? E.g so (14 th/s version) claims 1375w @650mhz. What would W be if I go to 660mhz or different V? I understand I can just o and try but I was thinking there might be some functional relationship.

higher frequency is more  power 💥 hungry most likely if you s9 is allowing you volts and freq you need to raise volts higher as you lift the freq.

it varies unit to unit based entirely on the chips in your unit.

i have one unit with braiins software which allows freq and volts for each of the three boards.

i could do

8.1
8.1
8.2

and set a low frequency getting 10th and 815-825 watts.

it was my best underclock unit.

i can not really give you a formula that would be accurate since yiur chips on your boards can vary a lot. 5-10%.

i can tell you higher frequency will need more volts.  then 8.1 or 8.2

7.9 is lowest
9.4 is highest IIRC.
15570  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The winter mining setup on: November 17, 2019, 02:19:15 PM
I prefer using Canaan's Avalon 841 for quiet heaters. I have a few spread around our facility and a couple at home.
In low-power mode and fans set 30% max can be used in TV room and even bedroom if ya don't mind a little white noise from whatever PSU you use. Will run at 8.5 THs or better.

yeah the a841 was really good to use for a heater.

in many ways my favorite miner from avalon.

we are getting a pair of  a1066 units soon. i will see if i like them.
15571  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: November 17, 2019, 12:59:26 PM
Selling your coupons should be done in the marketplace here using an escrow.

As of today no movement on my t17e's   they are now 7 days past  the 1-10 dates.

100th x 7 = 700th x .00001915 = 0.013405 loss of btc  for me and my partners.

And this order is due for a 865 usd refund.

15572  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS 56 x 190$ Bitmain coupons on: November 17, 2019, 02:41:49 AM
I never heard of Bitmain issuing 368$ coupons lately. Only 190/200/500/550$.

they sent me a 368 and even a 683 i spent them both.
15573  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Fears/Backlash on ASIC mining and miner capitulazation with BTC/Crypto. POLL. on: November 16, 2019, 08:51:26 PM
the s17 pro is coming from malaysia is 1599 and no trump tax.  just a small 30-40 dollar import fee shipping is 120.

nets about 1750 run on low it is not very loud. pulls 43 th an efficient about 37 watts a th.

reminds me of the godfather: “ just when you think 🤔 you can get out they pull you back in.”
15574  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: November 16, 2019, 04:14:49 AM
Nope, merit sent kind sir

what happens if I use 2x 368 usd on a 1599? do I get 480 usd off?

not sure but why not sell the coupon for 132 you could get 132 easy.

368+132 = 500 you are 20 bucks better off. i think   🤔 you can get 132 for that coupon.

as for me getting a credit i don’t expect to see it for a few more days.  i will ask them on tues for info if they have not paid it.

i am more concerned about my order for 2x t17e.

15576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: November 15, 2019, 11:12:48 PM
use

edit let me look more

this works

https://www.amazon.com/SF-Cable-Prong-Adapter-60320-C14/dp/B004OC579E/

all below is good

and this

https://www.amazon.com/NEMA-5-15P-C13-Splitter-Cord/dp/B00W5LJQKM/

with this meter in-between

https://www.amazon.com/Electricity-Monitor-Voltage-Overload-Protection/dp/B07DPJ3RGB/

don't run it more then 30  - 60 minutes to get your readings.

It is not good enough to run more then 30 to 60 minutes.

So attach the  plug to one of your 13c power cables  and to the meter

then attach the splitter to the meter  then run  for under an hour should work. may not
15577  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: November 15, 2019, 07:39:25 PM
They updated my invoice to show price from November 8 price update email. No coupon still. Seems they are ignoring original information that stated coupons would be based on price within 10 days after shipping as pricing has already changed again since their November 8 email.

This is why I am advising everyone to screen shot all orders not yet shipped and keep for a reference,

Somewhere someplace  I read a we ( bitmain) reserve the right to change terms of any and all coupons.  I am looking for it.

BTW my 2x t17e are now 5 days past shipping date.

15580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RandomX Benchmarks! https://randomx.monerobenchmarks.info on: November 15, 2019, 04:18:34 PM
Right now my i7 3930k making 300h/s on cryptonightR and it values as 0.10$ for a day consuming 130w .
if im not wrong it will pay me about 0.25$ with randomx.im sure it will pay this for 2-3 days then after it will be again like 0.10$.All people waiting something huge but results becomes same at the end of the road.cryptonight always paid for cpu very little.so dont be sooo exited.

It's not that cryptonight paid so little for CPU.
It's a fact that there are many more CPUs active at the moment rather than GPUs.
So, there will be a lot more CPUs mining RandomX algorithm for Monero thus reducing profits drastically.
If it's profitable for people, they are going to mine and they will activate each and every bit of CPU power they have which is really good for decentralization but not for incentives.

This is what I have been saying all along. If you think you will profit from investing in 4-5 or even 10 Ryzen 3900x systems in preparation for the XMR RandomX fork, you will be sorely disappointed. Please learn from both the Loki and ArQMA networks....there are a lot of CPU hashpower out there. Your multiple 3900X systems isn't going to make you any profit worth investing on. You have been warned..
yes long term maybe you are right but its all about efficiency, a 3900x will do 12k or more of randomx for 130 watt

those older cpus will do 3k for 70 to 100 watt so you are talking 4x maybe power use, the 3900x will make momey for at least six months and probably pay for themselves, beyond that who knows but either way its a new cpu so you can probably sell it in a year and be green greeN

Everyone talking about hashrate why no one saying about payment for these hashrate? waaaaww 12000H/s.they think it will pay like CN4?
I dont care  what hashrate they are promising,i do care is what do they pay for. What a meaning of 12k hashrate if it pays for that 1.5$. 3900 costs 700-900$.only cpu ROI 500 days.
my 3930k makes 0.25$ it is old cpu and what did you say about 3900 more 4 times efficiency right? ok 0.25x4=1$ for a day. What a joke.

I am buying ryzen 9 3900x for 500 + 33 = 533  and I get 50 + 30 = 80 in rebates so they cost me 453
I did bios upgrade on my asrock x370 board cost = zero
I sold the ryzen 7 1800x for 106

453 - 106 = 347 for upgrade  from 1800x to 3900x   The pc unit uses 110 watts  to mine.  that is 2.64 kwatts a day or say 3 kwatts.

at 15 cent power I pay 45 cents to run it.    so 100 cents - 45 cents = 55 cents a day pure profit.  Oh for the next 4-5 months  I will save 10 a month  so 50 bucks off my heating bill.
It is quiet and can mine for years with no issues.

PLUS IT IS  a solid pc.  I have 3 at the moment.  I may do 3 more.
