Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. June 2020 update

I've got potential credit coming for a Dec. 11-21 pre-order batch order of S17s and some $386 coupons for S17pro purchases. I can order S17 Pros from Malaysia through my host. If I knew for sure that I'd be able to take the S17 credit as a BTC refund at BTC price when my order ships, I'd just order the Pros I'd be able to get with the credit + coupons tomorrow. Very annoying there is so much uncertainty. There is no mention of a refund option on the web listing for any of the pre-orders.

Phill, if you bought any gear after the price difference has been  credited to you then it should have been deducted from that gear price, this is what happened to me when i bought T17e dec batch, i had to pay less than the total amount , there was some btc balance in my account and it could have only come from those S9ks.

As for the coupons, i wish we could trade them here, i am looking to buy coupons but it's impossible to do business in the market place now, 99% of those sellers are scammers.

i am yet to,see the 114 credit or 114 refund for that purchase.

2x s9k don’t have my refund or credit.

i have purchased

2x t17e- late 8 days and they need a 865 adjustment.

1x t17 - not due to ship this generated a 150 coupon

1x s17 - shipped arrived and it generated a 683 coupon
1x s17pro - shipped arrived and it generated a 368 coupon used the 150 coupon here

1x s17pro - shipped arrived and i used the 683 coupon
1x s17pro - waiting for it to ship and i used the 368 coupon

1x t17+ not due to ship i used a 375 coupon that no one has explained to me where it came from or why i got it.


so i have 2x 17e that are 8 days late that i need an 865 refund
i have 2x s9k.  that are delivered and need a 114 refund
i have a mystery 375 coupon issued that i spent.

while the unexplained 375 coupon was nice.  but 865+114=979 that is not very good.
also the two t17e eight days late. thats about 130.

so 1109 downside and a 375 upside means i am short 734.

i also think the s17 pro i purchased at 1999 that was delivered may generate a 400 dollar coupon due to the price drop to 1599.

what’s annoying is i am ready to shop and buy more s17pro if they fix the mess they made.

i have power for more gear. maybe 6-10 more units.

Was in a similar boat, would have used the credit + coupon on s17+ (hydro is costly for me )
I asked about it politely and followed up wanted to place an order but they sometimes get back to you in a days sometimes in 4 and sometimes never
Since then the s17+ sold out, January batch no longer there either sold the coupons and I’m not interested in any of their current offerings for my own personal situation maybe the s17pro is tempting
But with no clear refund or credit or whatnot I gotta sit it out vs buy more gear ....

The language in the pre-order listings on the website does not mention refund as an option, so I'm not too surprised.

From the Dec.  S17 pre-order listing:

2. If the Actual Transaction Price of the product is lower than the Product Reference Price, the remaining amount will be generated in your account. You may use the remaining amount to purchase additional products at the Actual Transaction Price, or you may use the remaining amount to purchase other products shown on the website that are available for purchasing.

It looks like getting this credit applied is going to be a mess. They have no automated way of applying the credits, so you need to place a Paypal order, email them or open a support ticket, then wait for someone to manually apply it to your order.

Truly frustrated on this. as i am not only waiting on my 114.
i am waiting on my 865 and two late units of gear. now nine days late. 100 th at 9 days is

Also, I do not use PayPal as it is highly restricted in my country, so that is not a good option for me.
They will either have to refund me or they will have to deduct that amount from next BTC order that I make.
I will fight for refund as long as I can!

Then you most certainly should have been credited the amount of 57$ for each miner, this is what happened to me , but I had to email them tho , and this was their reply

What you need to do is send them an email with all S9k order numbers and attach a copy of the Email they sent ( the one quoted above) and you will get the credit, if you have a pending payment it will be automatically deducted, if not, then try to place a new order and you will see price drop.

I have sent them multiple copies of the order. it was a btc order. i did all paypal orders after this,  but if you are correct
i could try a btc order now and see what they do.

i don't have access to any btc as i am on the road.

i will be home in a few hours i can try to order and see what they do.

I followed up Friday, no response been almost a week now since sent them a request for refund and by btc address
(as I was instructed by them if I choose refund to ask and send bitcoin address )
I will follow up tonight late in the am so it comes in "Tuesday morning for them"

So I am home.  I tried a btc order and seemed to not received a btc credit.

I have now sent 3 emails after receiving their initial email about the price differences and that we would receive refunds/credits and I have gotten zero responses. Today I opened a support ticket on Bitmain's site - not sure if that will get me any answers faster.

I want to order a T17e with the credit or get the refund so I can order, I have enough coming back that with the $150 coupon I have that I would only be out of pocket for around $200 and shipping.

I tried to place an order to see if I would see the credit at payout, and I got the following message:

The product in your cart will be shipped out from China and an additional 25% import duty will be charged by US customs, please kindly confirm before submitting your orders.

and like Phil above, I did not see it on the payment screen, so I will be letting this order expire.

well that will be an issue for me - 2 years ago I ordered 10.6k worth of miners from Alibaba seller - who never delivered - I used PayPal, after 3 months with no miners or even a tracking number, I filed a claim, after a month more of going back and forth with PayPal, they refunded the 10.6k order but also promptly closed my payPal account and said I was a "risk" not sure why I got that but I was also happy to get my 10.6k back.

Long story short - I cannot use my corporate PayPal account to pay or place orders any longer as the account has been closed.

That is not true, i am not saying you are lying, but their support is , it's likely the employee who responded to your ticket/email does not know shit, I have never paid using paypal on Bitmain , they never asked me to, and I still got the credit after sending them an email.

Yes it was a pre-order for sep 20-30  , the order was placed on August 2019 ,  the email I received regarding this credit thing was on 18th Sep , and the email which I sent  "demanding" the promised credit was on 6th November ( this month )

Yes, thanks for the clarification. I just didn't remember a pre-order for the S9k so I wanted to make sure we were all talking about the same thing.

I got my 853$ difference for my first s17e pre order
And I got my 800$ difference for the second one
It came in a form of coupon for 689 and 682 and it can be used to deduct a maximum 10% of my orders price
This is a f...... joke ?
