1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 25, 2023, 03:18:57 PM
You can move this to off-topic. I will stop gambling and take 5 BTC. I believe that is what other people will do too if they are not very rich and unable to afford 5 BTC easily.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 25, 2023, 01:43:01 PM

Gambling abuse is not a crime, so nothing like prosecution.
Actually gambling abuse is a crime, almost every organization are built and running using policies or terms and conditions, and if you are a defaulter of the companies terms and conditions or policy you are automatically a culprit, not all culprits are being prosecuted for their crime often times the law enforcers are the ones to surfer the consequences.

I have witnessed a situation whereby an under age( not up to 18) went to a casino hall and was gambling, after a while some cops came in and arrested the manager and its workers for going against the companies policy by approving an under age gambler in the casino, the young gambler was left with advice by the cops but the manager paid severely for compromising.

from the  above experience, gambling abuse is not just subjected to how a gambler spends his finance in gambling, under age gamblers are all abusers.

Abuse and addiction are just the same.
Not all abusers are addicted to gambling vise versa.
Let me tell you something, there is nothing called gambling abuse. You can make use of your search engine for it. What I do see are gambling addiction and problem gambling. Just because I read about gambling abuse first on this thread, there is nothing I can relate it more to than gambling addiction, although there is nothing called gambling abuse, it is wrong.

If you abuse a child, that is called child abuse.
If you abuse drug, that is called drug abuse. Drug addiction.
In gambling, it is just called gambling addiction or problem gambling.

If someone accept underage gambling on your online gambling site or offline based and the person got arrested. You are just away from this discussion and off-topic because what we are discussing is not about underage gambling.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 25, 2023, 01:24:21 PM
A feature like this is good but do popular casinos will have this feature coz it's like they are limiting their profit? Instead of a deposit limit, why not go for a daily vault withdrawal limit and you can't do anything until the time you've set will come.
The best is responsible gambling and self-discipline. Like I have said before, if a gambler set 7 days, the gambler can increase the limit within 24 hours. Also is 30 days too.

The only one that can be effective is the daily limit which is also 24 hours. But gamblers do have many gambling sites and can more from one to another, even within a day.

But if someone is disciplined and gambling responsibly, having weekly budget and not going beyond that, that is the best. The best towards responsible gambling comes from inside you, not what gambling sites are offering.
1564  Economy / Gambling / Re: what are the best crypto casinos! on: July 25, 2023, 11:02:22 AM
I have used Stake before and it was a very good betting site as usual. I will not be surprised if it has that excellent rating.

Iknow about Sportsbet, everyone on this forum knows about the gambling site, but I do not know if it has such bad ratings on Trustpilot which is 71% more than the 2 star and above ratings. This gives me doubt to use the gambling site. I have an account on Sportsbet but I have not used it to gamble before.
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Other Things You Can Bet on Aside Sports and Casino Games on: July 25, 2023, 05:43:54 AM
There is nothing better than casinos and sport bets. If there is no these two, gambling sites may not be able to make money the way they supposed to.

The one that I really know about are presidential election and awards. They are not something that happen everyday or frequently. As I see others that you have mentioned too, they are not what gambling site can provide everyday too.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there an good site for Chinese? on: July 24, 2023, 03:02:59 PM
I don't see China as one of the countries banned by default in crypto gambling platforms that I'm familiar with but some game providers blacklist China though. Is online gambling even allowed there? I'm reading some blogs that it's illegal so you may have to move from the mainland to HK where laws are more lax towards online gambling and Google is accessible.

 illegal in China
Gambling is illegal in China but Chinese people are gambling:

Online Gambling in China

Online gambling in China follows the same rules as gambling in a street shop and rules of traditional gambling still apply. Therefore, it is illegal to operate online gambling sites in the country or to provide gambling services in China.

Some internet service providers will even block foreign gambling websites to stop Chinese people accessing them and placing bets.

However, online gambling remains a huge business in China and some online gambling websites are happy to welcome Chinese players and will even offer them support in Chinese, thus encouraging them to join the gambling site.

We do not recommend trying to place bets at online casinos in China, even if you are just visiting the country. Still there are many people risking gambling at online casinos in china even as we speak, in 2023 the market is actually expected to grow considerably. There are several online casinos which aren't based in China (meaning no penalties for gambling there), that welcome players from China. Let's see some examples.

If I should recommend a casinos, https://livecasino.io is good. There are some other gambling sites that can be used too.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 24, 2023, 02:23:18 PM
Nothing defeats self-discipline.
This is exactly what this thread is indirectly all about. People should gamble responsibly and gamblers should have self-discipline in gambling. If not having those and the person is addicted, he will only prefer to choose 7 days or 30 days, lose and increasing the amount which makes nothing to change. It is people that have self-discipline that will go for 24 hours. That said, there are many other gambling sites that gamblers are using, we have more than one gambling site that we are gambling and many of the sites do not have this feature.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 24, 2023, 09:19:41 AM
what do you think about this?
Do you agree that gambling outside what gambling is meant for is abuse on gambling?
If you agree, what do you think should be done to gambling abusers if there was a way to catch them?
Should they be arrested and prosecuted same way drug abusers are arrested and prosecuted if caught?
Gambling abuse is not a crime, so nothing like prosecution.

If alcohol is allowed in your country, if you abuse it, nothing like prosecution unless that make you do something wrong like you rape someone, you drive and you are caught to be drunk. If you drink in your home and intoxicate yourself and do nothing wrong, you are abusing alcohol if you do it often but no prosecution.

Some drugs are illegal, like cocaine. Even if someone do not abuse it and he was caught, he will be jailed.

Abuse and addiction are just the same. I only know that people should not be addicted to gambling, they should gamble responsibly and they should only use small amount of money which they can afford to lose to gamble.

If they got addicted and because of that, they steal or become something else, the punishment of what they become can lead them to be jailed.

I am gambling responsibly. Do not be addicted.
1569  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: July 24, 2023, 08:35:47 AM
I have been trading for some years now, I check my net profit and loss, I still lose more than I win on most exchanges that I am using, except only one which is Huobi global which I still have profit, all other exchanges that I am using, I lose more than win. This has nothing to do with the exchanges, but it is just what happened to me.

According to one research in the past, Among 100% of traders, many of them changed to swing trading and holding after they have lost money and they continue to lose in scalping and day trading. Traders that are married prefer to trade with little amount of money that they can afford to lose. Some traders, especially those that are not married and have no responsibilities yet continue to trade with high amount of money and lose, while only few traders like 5% out if 100% that are making profit from trading.

It is good to be patient, holding could be better. Holding could be better.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Deposit limits on: July 24, 2023, 07:19:20 AM
This is how it is on gambling sites:

Quote
Many of our customers use Deposit Limits to manage their spending. Limits can be set for a 24 hour, 7 day or 30 day period and cannot be overridden

You can decrease your Deposit Limits at any time and this will be applied immediately.

Before increasing your Deposit Limits carefully consider if you can afford to do so. Never decide to increase your limit because you have lost money and think that you will win it back by gambling more. If you wish to increase a limit you will need to wait 24 hours before we action your request and then return to our site to confirm that you still want to increase it.

I quoted it from a gambling site.

This is just an evidence that their is nothing called deposit limit. Assuming you set it to 7 or 30 days and you set it to $100. Once you bet and lose the $100, you can wait for 24 hours to increase it above $100.

Without discipline yourself, you will increase the limit and gamble more. I have been into gambling for many years, this is one of the problem I have faced before.

But for people that gamble daily, setting a daily limit can be helpful. It is the only one that is useful.
1571  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is This How You Short A Crypto Coin? on: July 24, 2023, 06:14:05 AM
1. I joined Learn2Trade, where they provide 5 suggestions per day, on whether to BUY or SELL.
2. I understand how to BUY and wait for the price to go up.
But I don't understand how you make money on SELL.

For example, let's say I believe BTC will go down. So I BUY BTC. And then I wait for it to go down and then SELL.
Don't I lose money?
First, I will say you should be careful about signal groups, they can be as inaccurate as humans too. The best that you can do is to learn how to trade even if you will use crypto signals. Know what they you are doing.

Another thing is that you should avoid paid signals, they are scam.

You have only been buying bitcoin using the spot market and sell to buy a stable coin like USDT or USDC or fiat after you make profit or loss. If you want to be able to learn how to use sell/short to gain, you will learn about future trading.

Future trading are derivative trading and very different from spot trading. It makes use of different market and you will be able to leverage which makes it riskier unless you are very determined not to go more than 1x to make it be like spot market. If you use it to trade altcoins, going short can still lead to liquidation as you know altcoins are very volatile and they can increase 2x very fast.

Go to exchange like Bybit or Binance after you read about future trading. The exchange have trading guides for future trading too. I have forgotten of Bybit, but I know Binance also has videos that you can watch about it.
1572  Economy / Gambling / Re: bankroll 1000 € on: July 23, 2023, 09:27:56 PM
You want someone to bankroll you to gamble? That is stupid and it will not lead to anywhere or anything than you to scam the person after you have lost all the money.

That said, probably you may not even have intention to pay back the person that bankrolled you than to scam the person. If you have nothing to lose, it is a scam.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: July 23, 2023, 06:14:26 PM
My main focus on this thread is in this question: as a gambler do you place your bet according to the weight of your financial need or you're always okay with whatever amount that comes out as potential win no matter how small amount?
Gambling is not the source of my financial need.

I do not consider how much I win because gambling is very risky and you are likely not to win than to lose. I set a weekly budget, if I win more I take the profit, but if I lose and the weekly money is lost, I stopped for that week.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 23, 2023, 09:43:16 AM
You do not have to blame yourself as you are gambling responsibly.

When I converted 1700 naira to dollar, that is just $2.2. That is a small amount of money. You can continue to try your luck and see if you will win one day so far it is a kind of money that you can afford to lose. You do not have to do it often too because you do not gamble often.

It would be good to use trustworthy betting site like bc.game or stake.com.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 23, 2023, 08:35:02 AM
If you want to see a person full of hope and belief, then gamblers are the perfect example. The hope of winning and the belief to win is found in gambling. Even if you tell them that gambling is risky and the result may come out differently (not in his favor), they refuses to accept it and have 100% belief that they will win at any cost.
This is true for newbie gamblers.

We are not talking about the result which comes later on, once they gamble. They may lose too but the passion and belief of winning among the gamblers can't be seen anywhere else.
What about in trading too? It is just like it is in gambling.

What about in hyip and other ponzi schemes of high return promises? Experienced people will not fall for it, but those that are scammed believed even more than gamblers that they will see the high yield return, until they come to their consciousness and right senses after they have been scammed already.

If you are no more a new gambler, you will know that gambling is risky and that it should be done with the money that you can afford to lose. If you do not have such discipline, that is addiction which gamblers should avoid.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Crypto vs. Traditional Gambling on: July 22, 2023, 04:01:18 PM
Credit card companies may not allow you to fund your gambling account
Credit card companies are middle entities. They give you credit and then help you facilitate transactions. Because it’s the credit card company’s money, they have the right to dictate how you spend your money.

Credit card companies hate sportsbooks. Bottom line? They won’t allow you to fund your sportsbook account with their money. Also, funding with credit cards requires paying big fees, sometimes, over 10%.
We use cryptocurrencies, not fiat.

This forum is more about cryptocurrencies. The gambling sites that have announcement threads on this forum are crypto gambling sites, not traditional or fiat gambling sites.

I clicked on the link that you provided by it say that I have been blocked.
Use VPN to open it, it would work. I used IP address and I got the error but it worked with VPN. I am wondering why it is blocking IP addresses.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2023, 09:14:03 AM
When market has no clear direction and experience a bearish turn, it's normal I guess that people would find leisure on gambling but for sure they are likely gambling crypto too.
If the market is bearish, gamblers will not prefer to hold but to gamble? That is very wrong. Also that means the punters are looking for how to earn from gambling which is one of the thing a gambler should not think for gambling not to depress their financial life. Have you not noticed on this forum that you will see more gambling site signature campaigns during bull market while some later stop campaign or reduce the money thenm  are paying during bear market? That means crypto people even prefer to gamble more during bull run if they earn more profit from their bitcoin and other crypto holding.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 22, 2023, 09:07:21 AM
The rich are rich usually because they are smart with finances and investments, not because they gamble and got lucky. They may partake in a casino trip here and there but they're not gambling millions of dollars a day. I don't know the percentages, but I think most people are gambling for entertainment regardless of their status in society.
It is good to gamble responsibly. And if a gambler is gambling responsibly, he needs to have gambling budget and it should be very small in percentage to the 100 percentage of what he is earning every week. But in reality, some people see gambling as a way to make money and they become addicted and they later sufferred losses. I have read on an article before that 20% of gamblers are likely to be addicts. Which is truly that not still most people in the population.

Among the American rich people, I have read a PDF before that compared between how rich people are gambling and how much they spend on vacation. It was estimated that rich people spend much on gambling, but which is still less than the amount they spend on vacation.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Stop Gambling Even If You're Doing Great If This Happens To You on: July 22, 2023, 09:00:02 AM
Lol some of those posts that people come up with crack me up. If I were to take this question seriously, which Im having a bit of a hard time doing, then I would say it all depends on how much the rich father has and at what point in time I’d inherit it.
The father that has little to offer can not say something like that. The father will have properties that is worthy and he do not want his son to just find it easy and use what he built for tens of years to gamble.

Sports gambling is something you can be good at, or get good at, but there’s no guarantees involved in it, so that would really help me make my decision.
That is no guarantee in it just like you have said. The wise decision is to quite gambling for the years the father said. But I do not think the father can say five years because most people will prefer the son to quite gambling finally.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the latest information on NitrogenSports.eu? on: July 21, 2023, 04:23:58 PM
The reason I am asking is because I was approached by someone representing Nitrobetting.eu which seems to be another gambling website. Nitrogensports.eu redirects to Nitrobetting.eu which makes me think they are related. They approached me to run some form of a campaign here on Bitcointalk.
They are the same site.

It is a gambling site with bad reputation on this forum.
