My answer to it is clear no because if you can't control your temptations to sell it means you don't believe in bitcoin so no fun of investing in it in the first phase.Second you can do is store your coins on cold storage and leave it there with seeds secured without checking the price and after 3-4 years you can sell it.But not creating smart contract is feasible for holding bitcoin.

Yes there are many terms which people confuse with each other and you have specified some of them and use them individually.Like keys are of two types public and private and private keys are used to sign the transaction and prove ownership of funds while public keys are visible.So thanks for sharing it man and bumping it up for newbies and us to check it once.

I think many people misunderstood what I meant, some got it, some didn't. I didn't mean that you earn from gambling, I never believe that you earn from gambling, you "win" from gambling but that is a temporary thing and never sure thing, you may win or may lose and eventually house always wins if you gamble. SOL doesn't actually have a high TPS, they promise a high one but whenever it gets real high, it gets problems. Anyone here experiencing unable to load the website. It keeps on loading the startup animation even for a couple of minutes of waiting. Looking to sell my remainder ETH (~15), in order to fund a Bitcoin mining operation with a few other investors. Have a fairly large stack of BTC that I do not want to touch. Looking to get rid of my ETH to go full BTC maxi.
Was wondering if at this point, it's best to fund by taking a loan against the ETH, or to eat up the capital gain tax that would come from selling outright.
Anyone have any experiences with loans? I have no preference in keeping the ETH, but would rather not touch the Bitcoin stack for this. Goal is to gather more Bitcoin.
My suggestion is also to sell ETH because you are having future plans of mining with other investors and already have huge stash of bitcoin untouched which is growing substantially so if you hold it for another few years you would be having good percentage of profits from it only.The ETH prices at this time is fine and your 15 ETH could give you around $49k a little above btc at this time so you can convert it directly to btc if you want to do.Rest if you are on loans option then yes you can take it but why go for it if you have other options available with you selling your ETH? |

Sad to hear about your loss but this is supposedly how this market works which is why it's said invest what you afford to loose.The mistake in your case was altcoins investment as they are not much profitable in most scenarios and if you have picked up some really worse coin under pump dump scheme then your funds will be gone guaranteed.I remember back in 2017-18 period losing quite amount in ICO burst period but take it as lesson to move ahead safely.
