1581  Economy / Gambling / Re: Micerace.com - Bet on REAL mice racing, in real-time. on: November 19, 2018, 05:43:07 PM
What? How would I ensure that the race is actually being live telecast? It may always be a recorded one, where results are already known to you. How this type of a setup be provably fair?

a legit concern, by the way
you will have to make sure the system is provably fair and it is really difficult to do so
you can always be accused of putting a mouse that is more likely to win on a certain track , sleep deprive the rest , or use steroids to give some of them unfair advantage  Grin
1582  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-2]US Man Faces up to 5 Years in Prison for ‘Unlicensed’ Bitcoin Sales. on: November 19, 2018, 02:47:53 PM
it is not the first time, I read another guy (or the same? ) was being held for unlicensed  local bitcoin trading last year
it is very obvious that local bitcoins share data with the agencies and this guy wasn't your average 1-2 btc dude
he must have been selling or buying ridiculous amounts of coins , either that or some of the coins were tainted and connected him to something something we do not know about
shows how important it is to try and make sure you are as anonymous and safe as possible
trading at local bitcoins copious amounts of coins and expect to get away with it forever in the US - not smart
1583  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-10] Bitmain Releases Antminer S15: How it Stacks Up Against Competitors on: November 19, 2018, 02:10:55 PM
lets see how they will sell out at 1.450$ if the price drops to 3-4k usd
it is unprofitable for an average miner with 0.1 kw/h electricity cost to mine now
the price dropped to 5200$ and doesn't seem to have found the bottom just yet , this way the smaller and "home miners"
are getting kicked out of the game and will have to stop the miners or mine to hold and hope for the price to recover

1584  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-19]Bitcoin Price will Drop Further to $1,500, Analysts Predict on: November 19, 2018, 11:52:44 AM
winter is coming , brace yourselves
looks like news starting to put even more pressure on the market
some groups want to push the price even further down to buy?
I won't be surprised if the price fell to 1.500$ or even 1000$ , but then I would buy like mad Smiley
hell I think I'd buy at 2000$ , there is no reason not to ,the market is being manipulated and the price will recover if not this year then 2019-2020
do not be fooled by the bs and HODL or buy
1585  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💰💰💰💰BITCOIN Lottery Ticketing💰💰💰💰 on: November 18, 2018, 09:16:42 PM
come on a site out of nowhere with a domain bought for 1$ a year shows wins of 3, 100 btc etc.
must be real  Grin but the owner should not take bitcointalk members for fools
when you are trying to .. exaggerate things -do not overdo it
an obvious scripted scam site, there are no winners and no deposits
just a script running 24/7 , avoid like a plague!
1586  Economy / Gambling / Re: Micerace.com - Bet on REAL mice racing, in real-time. on: November 18, 2018, 05:35:09 PM
whoa , real mice races
I caught myself watching the "race" where three of the mice were happily sitting and enjoying themselves
while one of them tentatively ventured on the track but wasn't curious enough to finish the race
it was no event, damn   Cheesy
crazy idea, might work
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CLIMB THE MOUNTAIN TO CATCH THE TIGER! on: November 18, 2018, 04:37:06 PM
Someone help me out here, I don't understand the difference or this reward ratio thing. Must be something specific to slots, a game I've never been attracted to even though almost all my friends have some form of slots on their mobile. What's really that nice about slots anyway when the edge is so high? Entertainment I can understand but for gambling?

So what's the exact advantage of EOS over Ethereum in this?

the one advantage  I know that is awesome- no transaction fees!
with etherium and its now usual gas price spikes, you can find yourself paying too much for depositing to a casino
eos has smart contracts and has a special inbuilt consensus mechanism where the blocks are produced by 21 block producers, unlike the proof of work hybrid by many miners with etherium
EOS was prophetized as the better ETH, but due to some snags it is not as popular as it could have been
in theory- it is way better for gaming platforms due to better scalability https://www.bitdegree.org/tutorials/eos-vs-ethereum/

1588  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: ⚽🏆 Cloudbet's Super 6 Soccer Predictor Competition - Free Entry - Win BTC! 🏆⚽ on: November 18, 2018, 11:06:22 AM
Just going through the entries to see if any of us either guessed the right match winners or were spot on with the match result, and it looks like its a confirmed miss! With a result like yesterdays, just wondering what was the price of the Netherlands to beat our world cup winners such that no one dared to pick them... Lambo odds maybe  Cry Time to soldier on and Hope for better results!

Lmao I'm not even mad. 3 games down the shitter with very weird results. But then again I've always sucked at world cup predictions, shit's too unpredictable. I'm sure some ballsy people made insane winnings from that France vs Netherlands game though. 3 more games to go!

not a single weird result, the most unexpected was Ukraine losing with a 3 goals difference to me
Netherlands looks on form and I was pondering 2:1 instead of 1:2 to France but decided against it
other than that- its sport, if we could predict the outcome of every game, bookmakers would go bankrupt very soon  Grin
1589  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂CASINO/12 COINS AVAILABLE 🎁50% REFERRAL PROMOTION🎁 on: November 18, 2018, 10:43:00 AM
Really I Appreciate bitsler back on track after big holidays  Wink. u guys just awesome.
you guys never give up . thumbs up for you all.
so my question is I have 218 referral but i didn't recieved any of commission for last many days ...
so shall login every day for commission . or might be they are not playing and they are their just  for faucet .

it depends if you recruited players who are wagering some coins or just there to use faucet or check the site out
218 affiliates is a good figure, though , there must be some who deposit and wager
besides the 50% affiliate promo is still on, if I'm not mistaken,so it is a good idea to promote Bitsler for some passive income
in affiliate marketing it is always luck - you can recruit one member who will bring you more than the rest combined!
if you know the people you recruited or the place you recruited them from allows it (for example: forum, friends you recruited and who you can contact)
try to record a video or create a forum post explaining how to play , deposit and withdraw and maybe include some of your favourite strategies  Wink
1590  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lordmancer II - an MMORPG where you can earn crypto on: November 18, 2018, 10:33:17 AM
there are many high level players 50+ , but the level-ups to 50+ , and ,recently, 60+ levels were allowed not so long ago
I have been playing this game for some time and from my experience, I can say that levels 1-20 can be done in one day
that is if you "live" in the game for 16+ hours, levels 20-30 take around one day each, again if you play heavily
levels 30-40 take around 1.5 days each , levels 40 and up ,probably 2-3 days per level
getting premium account that doubles your experience helps, but there is also  this need to improve your spells and armies
it would be hard to find yourself level 50 with only grey tier armies and spells, "older" players will be killing you in PVP easily
so there is another strategy of levelling your armies up first, you can login and collect chests and bonuses and food and magic dust
complete only the quests that give you army improvements and do not rush the heroes levels
In my opinion, this game is pretty hard to progress fast for players who did not choose to purchase the crystal and premium pack, as the players could basically only purchase 2 food every 3 hours in the game using the in-game gold, it would take a long time to upgrade the armies. But this game still serve its purpose as an entertainment for players to play when they have some free time on their hands.

you can progress without any crystals or purchasing premium, I can attest to that Smiley
I have 119 crystals in the bank and I have wasted quite a few missclicking recharging armies for crystals or fleeing battles unnecessarily
I have several valuable items that can be sold for crystals if need be too
as for the food and magic dust thingy, you have to beat elite monsters and they will drop copious amounts of food and dust
it has been adjusted in the latest update, but I'm level 33 now and thy drop 1-6 each per kill still
it is not easy to defeat them, though and I've spent some good money on my items
another option, just farm the mobs and amass gold, food and dust is sold for around 450-600.000 gold per 100 on the market
and if you join a good clan, top players may even give it to you for free or way cheaper
in general- if you have time and you like the game and the concept, you will progress without a doubt
this game is new, it is being updated EVERY WEEK, means the team behind it is working hard on improving the things
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My journey with Tipstrr. Free tips on: November 17, 2018, 08:19:18 PM
a decent win rate , will follow your progress
not a big fan of darts and I do not bet on sports I have no idea about, but some of your football bets are good choices
maybe you can post some of the bets you make in btalk thread as well, not everyone has a tipstr account
and this also will get more exposure to your topic and eventually, help you to gain future customers
1592  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lordmancer II - an MMORPG where you can earn crypto on: November 17, 2018, 05:04:04 PM
I have seen very high level players wandering around the map when I am playing the game on my web browser, they are higher than level 50 and I think if using the web browser to play the game requires everyone to restart from level 1, it is quite impossible to reach level 50 in just a few days since the announcement of this web version.
Yeah, you're right, seems that's it and it make sense though. I think I should try in web version as well, if how bigger screen looks.

As stated earlier about other players high level. Its already open for a year so no doubt there would be high leveled players.

I think it got released much earlier than the "official release". Those lvl 50 people were playing for weeks before we came here.

Lordmancer II was in open beta for almost a year/ But we have some restrictions for players. For example, the level cap was increased only a week ago. By that time it was the 50th level.

there are many high level players 50+ , but the level-ups to 50+ , and ,recently, 60+ levels were allowed not so long ago

1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to get 1-5 BTC Without deposit (BTC) ! on: November 17, 2018, 04:45:46 PM
I'm not sure may be you could try free 3tickets/day can win upto 1btc
https://8bet.io/

pretty sure reflinks for reflinks sake's posts are against the rules

as for getting 6.000-30.000$ worth of bitcoins for free to start gambling sounds just a tiny bit optimistic
treat bitcoins as money and ask yourself, if anyone in  his right mind would give you that?
especially without a collateral and especially for gambling purposes
you should start with earning the starting capital and then try to trade or gamble your way up to your goal of ... riches and 100 btc

Well it's not my job to say if this bot is good or bad, useful or not, ... I just need to be sure that it's not some kind of scam or malicious program.
Once again no offense to Mydicebot, but unfortunatly we learned to be careful, and trust can only come with some time and good feedbacks..

thank you for making it clear, I was waiting to try the bot on my favourite site, but I understand the concerns
players safety is of paramount importance and lets hope that sooner rather than later mydicebot and its creator gain
trust and respect of the community and the bot support will be added to Bitsler
1596  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How is bitcoin supposed to be? on: November 17, 2018, 02:52:00 PM
If you search at the google about bitcoin for criminals, there is a lot.
For example at this link https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/5092224/criminals-use-bitcoin-for-dark-web-illegal-activity/amp/.
So if there is nothing correct regulations, maybe a lot of countries will be block this payment system.
And as the effects, price of BTC will be drop soon.
So let's start to discuss, what it the right regulations to avoid Bitcoin used as a payment for crime.

The "right" regulations would be all the new rules that remove the anonymousy of btc transactions.
"Know your customer" policies and ID verifications would become mandatory for all online bitcoin wallet services and all exchange platforms. The harder for criminals to stay anonymous ,the better for the bitcoin community.I know that a lot of crypto supporters hate the KYC regulations, but there`s no other way to reduce the crimes and fraudulent activities with btc involved.

oh the famous "bitcoin is used for illegal acivities" story
KYC regulations doesn't do much in terms of reducing crimes! a criminal will always find always to circumvent this
fraudulent activities involving bitcoins or any other , even anonymous crypta is dwarfed by fiat fraudulent activities
the figures are simply incomparable, millions of times more , but all we hear is how bitcoins is used to extort someone
or drugs are bought for bitcoins etc. , you seriously think that it is anything more than a PR against cryptocurrencies
finally, have a look at the total money supply infographics and think, what is used the most for criminal activities Smiley

1597  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: On legality of Bitcoin - legal till banned or banned till legal on: November 17, 2018, 02:19:27 PM
one the main principles of democracy is everything which is not forbidden is allowed
hence if  cryptocurrencies are not banned, you are free to use them as you please
unless you break any of the existing laws while using them, since there could be tax evasion, money laundering and some other surprises
basically, if the government wants to screw you, it will screw you legal or illegal

BEWARE OF THIS !
.....
After i saw it for the first time i got into my profile and changed the client seed to "notfuckingabcdef" as you can see here
https://prnt.sc/lhh1ic
and the seed in the dice request stays the same + theres no onsite way to verify the rolls

Most good developers can make a casino platform and games. The difficulty is the security in the system. Everything from user authentication, session management, , cross-browser usability, responsive design as well as every other possible scenario you could never imagine. Trust me on this. I spent 2 years developing ours, and we still find issues on occasion. Forum members here helped us find one just yesterday. It is a never-ending process that requires constant tweaking and upgrades through time. Here are a few of the issues we uncovered while developing our platform and game integrations.

Our biggest "Oh Sh$$T moments".

(1) Session IDs. In the beginning (4 years ago). We had sequential session IDs, and not random ideas. One player figured this out and started playing with funds of other users who were online at the same time. This did not cost us anything but time and explaining to the affected players what happened.

(2) Wager spamming. About the same time, another player ( or the same one) developed a spam bot that made 1000's of bets per second. Each bet placed was nulled immediately. This was like a DDOS to the system, forcing the system to accept bets after the result was seen on the screen. This caused the result to be available before the bet was placed. SO, the system gave the result, and then the bot finally placed the bet that was correct. The player won 300k in 3 days. We actually paid out 20k before we found out what this guy was doing. He had consistently about 150% payout ratio for live roulette. The scary thing is, that if the player was not greedy, he could have milked us for years. Thankfully, he was greedy.

(3) Bonus abuse. I'll save this for another time, but bonus abuse is a real issue.

ok, so my list was not long. The underlining truth is that there are way smarter people out there who could crush you. It's simple as that. God forbid you cheat a player. That brings me to #4.

(4) Ethics: I can not stress this one enough. If you cheat anyone you will be shut down by the geniuses in #2. I've seen it. Actually, it doesn't take a genius to shut someone down. It only takes a blackhater who has access to DDOS attack. Even if there is DDOS protection, you can still shut them down and/or casue them to have so much latency that they can not function normally. I've seen this scenario play out with other brands a number of times. It doesn't take much.

If I had to build another system today, I wouldn't. I would spend time marketing and less on dev.

an interesting read, what did you do to prevent this kind of abuse in the future?
talking about wager spamming, also how on earth was the bot nulling the bets?
you are not talking about dice sites, are you?
and you are right, there is literally an industry of extorting the buisenesses that rely on their sites to be online, online businesses like crypto casinos are prime targets
think the largest ones have learned how to deal with it , either paying for extra layers of protection or paying the attackers so they disclose the methods of the attack
in any case- running and developing an online casino is not an easy task
1599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are the true believers of Bitcoin? on: November 16, 2018, 08:39:10 PM
what panic are you talking about? Smiley
there was no panicking when it was 100$ and it has been for months too
its human nature- last year spring and summer people would have given their left leg for bitcoin to be at 5500$
would have ment at least tripple the value , and ask those early adopters who got the coins for literally pennies if they are panicking or not
I'm a believer in bitcoin and even if it goes down to 1-2.000 this would only mean one thing to me- I will buy more coins
1600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin research, need your help! on: November 16, 2018, 08:04:05 PM
This should not be called bitcoin research your questions are like here are elusive and the topic of this post should be called personal opinion on bitcoin if you want to do a real research you can read books

I will definitely come back and read all the responses. In fact, I keep checking every 30 minutes until I have a handful of people responding to me. By research I meant my bachelor thesis and for that purpose I needed some real people to get their opinions about the questions i presented. I will need to be collecting as many primary data as possible to include in my thesis, and hence like one other user said, i cannot really "google" to get the answers I need for my report.

But thank you to all the remaining members, who have put their efforts in answering!

if I'm not mistaken you have already asked similar questions on a different newbie account
anyways will try and answer the questions:

1. bitcoin has shown fantastic results as a store of value and is one of the most profitable assets to invest in longterm
(that is if you haven't invested in it when the price was 17.000$)
besides it has a deflationary mechanisms inbuilt , add to that the continuous loss of coins that adds value as well
2.I use bitcoin to invest in different bankrolls, for some purchases of digital goods and some trading
I gamble with cryptocurrency, not only bitcoins , too
I get paid in bitcoins for doing online jobs
3.expecting it to be alive and well for years to come
waiting for the Lightning network fully operational so we may see bitcoin not only as a store of value but a valid payment system, competeing with the likes of Visa and Mastercard
4.my main concerns would be security issues, since the transactions are non reversible
it will be very difficult if not impossible to recover stolen or lost coins
another major concern is that there will eventually appear a "superbitcoin" , some coin that
will be better coded, more anonymous, has faster transactions- all in all a "bitcoin killer" if you wish
and that bitcoin will lose its market dominance and eventually, value
