1581  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am happy now on: November 19, 2013, 08:28:54 PM
I was screaming the last 2 weeks "bubble" and nobody listened. People were delusional, thinking of new paradigms, prices of 10,000 USD and so on. But history repeated, bubble popped and lots of people are now at a loss. Sadly, that's the name of the overspeculation game.

I believe prices of more than 250 are unsustainable and we will eventually get even lower. China is not buying, it's speculating. It's playing. Chinese are mostly gamblers, not investors.

So, see ya at 300s

It wasn't not a bubble.

People simply bailed at 800 because that was their trigger number.  They'd been planning to do so all along.

Then people bailed at 900 because that was *their* trigger number.   They'd been planning to do so all along.

It will happen again at $1,000 probably much bigger.

Bubbles imply overvalue.  That isn't whats going on.

These are long term holders (several months, maybe years) finally hitting that crazy high they've been waiting for.

How did it get to that high?  Because that's what its worth.

How do we know that?  Because we're back at $700+ already.

Bubbles don't recover instantly.  This one has.

Bubble was in April.  It spiked fast, it crashed fast, and it didn't recover for months.

Its less than 10 hours later now, and we are already back to 700+

It wasn't a bubble.

You didn't tell us so.

Want proof?

Yesterday's Top Headline:

"Senior U.S. law-enforcement and regulatory officials said they see benefits in digital forms of money... US officials ... called it a "legitimate" financial service. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke... said... that virtual currencies "may hold long-term promise, particularly if the innovations promote a faster, more secure, and more efficient payment system."

Bitcoin bubble didn't burst.  Bitcoin is more legitimate and poised for long term success than it has ever been.

People just cashed out because it hit the high they were waiting for.
1582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will we have the first homicide/suicide caused by Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2013, 07:16:43 PM
Why would someone kill themselves over money?

Get a fucking job at Mc Donalds, move in with your parents for awhile, put out resumes, and join the rest of the world in cubicles.

You're nobody special.  If you haven't been there yet, it'll make you a better person to see what that lifestyle is like.

Such individuals are dumb and for the purposes of natural selection, probably should commit suicide.
1583  Economy / Speculation / Re: total scam on: November 19, 2013, 05:31:20 PM
Please.  Everyone liquidate your coins.  Get out while you can !!!!!!!!!!!!

Because every one of you that bought at 200, sold at 500 in fear, and now will never afford to get back in?

You just made my coins that much more valuable.

He who holds through the ups and downs will be King.

Only the strong survive.
1584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rate drops rapidly now on: November 19, 2013, 01:29:59 PM
Please move this to the speculation forum. Bitcoin price rallies, drops and changes are not meant to be discussed here.
Pretty sure the moderators already know how to do their jobs.
1585  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now it's China, next will be India and Arab countries on: November 19, 2013, 05:08:19 AM
I have a female friend who is drop dead gorgeous, currently being wined and dined by a Dubai billionaire. He flew her out there last month. I have sent her some messages this evening to tell him to look into Bitcoin, and spread the word. Maybe this will help. Fingers crossed.
1586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hypothesis: BTCChina is completely fake (with evidence) on: November 19, 2013, 05:02:47 AM
The point I wanted to make is that stock exchanges never make perfect semicircles.

This isn't a stock exchange. Bitcoin is not a stock. Stop trying to make it conform to stock rules, trends, and predictions.

All you stock guys do the same nonsense. You come here, you lecture everyone on how stocks behave, you imply that everyone here's an idiot, you make ridiculous claims, absurd predictions, you declare crashes are on the way, and none of you have ever been correct, even once.

Please stick to what you know. Trading stocks. Stop wracking your brain over Bitcoin. This is something completely new. You are not an expert on this. Nobody is.
1587  Economy / Speculation / Re: I know very few people here really care... on: November 19, 2013, 04:49:29 AM
...but this ridiculous price bubble will destroy Bitcoin and probably all other cryptocurrencies when it pops. For 99.99% of the Bitcoin community this is irrelevant as you are involved purely to profit, you have no ideological interest in the underlying concept, but for those who are genuinely interested in alternative currency models it's a pending disaster.

The speculators will move on when it crashes, the winners will take their winnings and the losers will lick their wounds. The people left behind who are ideologically invested and not just financially so will find they've been left salted earth.

You have not been correct in any one of your predictions thus far. Why don't you give it up already, troll?
1588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't have to buy a whole Bitcoin! You can buy partial! on: November 19, 2013, 04:41:41 AM
You both miss the point entirely. This is the perfect example of a pyramid scheme in action. As early adopters, we all had the chance to buy several coins, but now its our duty to convince others they can still get in on the action, even if they can`t buy a full coin?

It`s just a shameless effort to profit off the backs of others. For a group of people who largely consider themselves freedom fighters against the scurge of bankers and government regulators, you are all beginning to sound like you`ve found good company. Makes me sick... I did not get into bitcoins to profit off of others via investment schemes. I wanted to see bitcoin succeed. But alas, human nature is a strong force to reckon with.

Yawn.

You are one weird dude. Or chick. You make no sense.

It's almost like you're trying desperately hard to come up with a ridiculous viewpoint on this. I can only imagine what you're like in person.
1589  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchange to sell large amount at once? on: November 19, 2013, 03:20:26 AM
This might seem like a joke, but probably organized crime. Like the Cartel or the Mob.

Say they have to move money from US to Mexico, but millions in cash is too obvious to move around. They can approach someone in the USA to sell them BTC for cash, then the Cartel moves the paper wallet to Mexico. After that they just get someone in Mexico to buy the BTC for cash.

If you are the one in the US trying to sell BTC, you get to do a block trade, dump BTC and get all your money at once, provided they don't kill you right after and just keep the money plus the BTC.

I am sure this is how its done with silver and gold. Lots of organized crime types will approach bullion dealers and try to buy gold/silver WAAAAY over spot, in exchange for them looking the other way.
What does this have to do with my question?
1590  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchange to sell large amount at once? on: November 19, 2013, 02:20:59 AM
Bitstamp is also good for big numbers, but it moves slower.
Good for big numbers.  Does that mean they dont have a 50 BTC withdrawal limit?
Slower.  Does that mean it takes longer to get to your bank account?
1591  Economy / Trading Discussion / Best exchange to sell large amount at once? on: November 19, 2013, 02:17:32 AM
So Coinbase has a 50 BTC withdrawal limit per day right?

So if you happen to be one of those miners from 2010 with 6,000 BTC (im nowhere near this)....

... its going to take you fricken 120 days to cash out all your coins?

That's absurd.

Which exchanges allow you to fully cash out and initiate a wire to your bank account in the USA?  All at once?

These major price changes clearly someone is cashing out big ... they're not doing 50 BTC per day.

Thanks

Its a smurf!   Buy!
1593  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats your crash-comming-panic-sell number? on: November 18, 2013, 11:00:19 PM
You're asking the wrong question.

Watch for a momentum increase (as in now)...

Then place your stop-loss well below the trend line.

Let the market take you out when it breaks the trend line.

BTW I suspect China will surprise us all, pushing this market farther then anyone expects... but don't play that gamble.  Now is the time to put stops in.  But keep them well below the trend line.  You don't want to get stopped out too soon.

Can you rewrite all of this in normal english, since most of us aren't stock market junkies?

Then when you finish that, reassure me that you're not trying to compare bitcoin to stocks again ... because you're wasting your time.

The rules don't apply.
1594  Economy / Speculation / Re: NEXT ORDER OF MAGNITUDE SOON on: November 18, 2013, 10:56:41 PM
Truly amazing.  Im shocked there isnt more celebrating going on here.

Maybe a lot of the previous guys cheering at $400 sold their coins and are out ...

1595  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does price going up reaffirm or weaken your decision to hold? on: November 18, 2013, 10:52:02 PM
THe only correct answer in this thread:

I hold because I have faith in the technology.  The paradigm shift occurring.  And I watch *very* closely the articles that come out, and constantly have a grip on how the infrastructure and adoption is progressing.  That truly is the security I rely on for holding.   Nobody among my friends understands this.  They think im crazy for not selling at least half my coins right now.  They think im "being greedy".  In reality, there is a "pulse" to this ... and I see nothing but increased worldwide adoption ahead.

Yes, its scary as hell right now.  I have so much to lose.  But I really do have faith in what Bitcoin is.   So I hold.
1596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: November 18, 2013, 10:41:51 PM
Why does this thread keep getting bumped.  Its annoying always seeing it at the top.  lol ...

Have random conversations in other threads lol Smiley
1597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't have to buy a whole Bitcoin! You can buy partial! on: November 18, 2013, 10:21:22 PM
This sounds so elitist. Its like a Wall Street banker telling someone, "What, you cant afford a new Lexus? Look on the bright side! At least you can still buy the match box car version."

Of course people realize they can buy partial coins, but the point is they dont want to, because they can see where this is headed.
No they dont realize it.

Apparently you don't talk to the general public much.

I do.

Three people in the last 2 days have said they can't invest in bitcoin because its too expensive at $500.

I put that in my original post above.  Guess you missed it.  Or thought I was making it up.

The public does not understand this.  Not everyone hangs out on bitcointalk.org ...

Fuck what if Chinese get on the Litecoin train?

Someone needs to open a litecoin exchange in china.
1600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin more than doubled today on: November 18, 2013, 07:29:56 PM
How do you get USD out of litecoin anyways?

Got to sell Litecoin for Bitcoin then transfer to another exchange, then cash out to USD Huh?
