I want to elaborate more on #2. The past several days our community have come together and came up with some great ideas. We have been working together to improve BlackCoin. We have some very smart people here from different backgrounds and cultures. The devs can only be expected to do so much, we as a community have to pitch in. So for example a "council" can be formed to help fund projects, suggest new features to the devs, work on PR...etc..etc. That being sad, when you have a group of people with different ideas..etc..etc it usually falls apart |

OK, i suggest to form a small team from BlackCoin Community which can give price indications for small and medium term, and just them can give official declarations (suggestions, predictions) about the price directions.
by doing that we can prevent panic sell and panic buy and make BlackCoin more stable.
the team can accept:

- Cryptocurrency experts
- holders of more than 500K of BC
- ........
Not a bad idea. However, many of the people that buy/sell BlackCoin never visit these forums. If they did they wouldn't be selling their coins for discounted prices. we can post the (price team) suggestions in BlackCoin website and in social media, then when buyers and sellers will know about this will be a good source of stability for BC, and this will give BC one more advantage against Bitcoin. the big holders of BC will have more credibility and trust for the assets they are holding, and no fake or stupid predictions (or news) will effect their holdings the team will work as a central bank, just to give indications and protect the coin from falling in a hands of pumpers and dumpers, if we have the top ten holders of the coin in the team, the team will have all credibility for other holders, it's not stupid idea, it's bad and dangerous idea for dumpers, and who want fast easy profit which can destroy the coin fast. IconicExpert can announce the formation of this team in his marketing campaign next week, So basically you want to form a contract, arrangement or understanding with the top holders of blackcoin for the purpose of fixing, controlling or maintaining price in the market? Do you realize that this is EXACTLY why Crypto exists in the first place? To avoid central authorities that hold all the power. Collective refusals to supply (top holders deciding to remove their sell orders) to create artificial price rises didn't work too well for Mint now did it. Be aware that what you are suggesting is the forming of a cartel, a collection of would be competitors who form contracts, arrangements or understandings to significantly lessen competition in the market. This is illegal in nearly every civilized nation state in the world - and for bloody good reason. It rips of consumers. People must pay a grossly inflated price, far higher than would otherwise be the case had it not been for the cartel. They therefore just don't buy - the coin becomes a rip off, a scamcoin. The only winners are those who hold massive stacks of coins - those that would have ordinarily bought in would see or hear about this and promptly give us the middle finger. Certain individuals have alot to gain from such an idea but the community loses out. Not to mention it only takes one holder to leave the cartel to cause a collapse. The only legitimate way to increase the price is to buy up the sells on offer and keep buying them up. If that doesn't work and the price still drops then sorry, the coin just ain't worth what we would like it to be - yet. If someone wants to pay $2,000,000 USD and push the price up to 13,000 Sat then go for it - but don't think you can just collectively stop selling or fiddle the market and suddenly people will pay twice the price. People will pay twice the price - If the market cap doubles. 1.) The press release is already written and is currently being refined. I will not be adding the formation of any group/origination to the press release, it doesn't match the context of the release. 2.) I have one more request I hope you can implement before next Wednesday. Our press release will target North America and select European countries. Our release will go to some of the top financial websites, and their readers are interested in investment opportunities. Unfortunately these readers have short attention spans and if the information isn't right in front of them they can get distracted very easy. Can we have a real time ticker on the front page that gives the value of BC in USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, and AUD?

BlackCoin was developed to be the better coin, and whether we say it publicly or not we think BlackCoin is better than Bitcoin. I think we as a community want BlackCoin to become independent from Bitcoin. Just because something was developed first, or because more people use it doesn't mean it is better. So why if most of us here think BlackCoin is better, why do we need to display how much BlackCoin is worth in BTC/SAT? I read the first draft of our press release and it focuses on the differences between BlackCoin and Bitcoin, and why BlackCoin is better. As Bitcoin prices keep dropping people are going to want to invest in another coin, and why can't it be BlackCoin? Also, we keep having these debates between BlackCoin and Mintcoin, and I honestly do not know why. Every time one of us respond to a "Mint is better" post, we are giving Mint undeserved attention. When you are a boxer and you are hungry for the title, you do not keep fighting the boxer that you have already beaten, you go after the champion. We have already "beaten" Mint and we as a community need to focus on the Champion (Bitcoin). As a community can we pledge to ignore Mintcoin posts in this thread? I think BlackCoin still has a long ways to go before we can really loose the price in BTC and go fiat only. It's funny with so many dishonest thieves all in one place I don't understand how any of you can trust the other. It sure looks like one of you is lying and selling off more coins than they should be
I am slowly gaining BC through buying and the pool, Everyone who dumps BC is slowing giving me more control over BC, and hundreds of others like me who are not going to sell until the price goes up a order of magnitude from here. Once people like me lock-down a majority of the outstanding BC you won't be getting anymore cheap. BC is going to make a few hundred people who understand what is going on here rich. I'm going to keep buying and mining BC, I will even rent more rigs to throw at the pool, Soon the pool will become most profit pool to mine on because BC price is up, then everyone will mine BC, then the price will go up up UP! Then it will still be most profitable. Next thing we know we are starting to challenge LTC. That is what is in our future if even a portion of us buy, mine and hold. We are in control, you have to ask yourself do you want crypto to make you rich? If you do. You Buy, Hold, Mine. Period. +1 You are wasting your key strokes . People do not understand this coin is only several weeks old and is up 1160%. They don't realize it has the most volume than any other coin on Mintpal. All of the data is right in front of them and they keep selling low. I am not mad at all because I keep snatching up all these cheap coins. Even when this coin reaches $5.00, and it will, I am NOT selling! IMO BlackCoin is the first brandable coin. Everyone that is smart enough to hold will be millionaires in a year. |

You do realize no system is 100% secure? If it was created by man it can be defeated by man. I would like to point out the 51% attack with a POS coin in theory IS possible but would be very expensive and would make most of the people here very wealthy. That is similar to me suggesting that if someone took a tank and rolled it into my local bank they could take all of the money out of the vault. Yes it can be done, but the likelihood of someone doing that is virtually impossible. |

I promised myself I wasn't get involved in the MintCoin vs BlackCoin debates but this is getting silly.
1. The likelihood of either BlackCoin or Mintcoin being attacked in some way is highly unlikely at best.
2. Coming to this thread posting propaganda is just a waste of time and quite frankly it is annoying. The numbers speak for themselves and BlackCoin has had the most volume of any coin on MintPal for over two weeks.
3. Honestly speaking, outside of this community no one cares about the mechanics of these coins. So it comes down to "branding", and I am sorry but "Mintcoin" isn't very brandable. For example; People in this community are playing on a famous quote: "Once you go black..." And also the community have borrowed a famous shopping day of the year "Black Friday" and adopted it as our own. Could you imagine a publicity stunt with 100+ pretty women all wearing BlackCoin T-Shirts in Times Square NYC on a Friday? "BlackCoin Friday"!
4. We have one of the best developers and communities hands down. We are all working together to come up with new ideas and solutions.
I wish Mintcoin and the Mintcoin community success. So please stop with the Mintcoin nonsense and stop posting negative comments here.

Yesterday I made the suggestion that the "Buy BlackCoin" section on BlackCoin.co should be moved above the fold. In less than 24 hours it was done!!! The dev and this community is one of the best if not the best.
If you are waiting to buy BlackCoin you better get it now while it is still cheap. Because this dev and community are the real deal and this coin is only going to increase in value.

i agree with you and respect BC team and community, but nothing can go up without fall, 100% must go down before go up again, who sell his coins at 7300 want to buy again cheaper, dump will come, expect Sunday at 6pm (always happening at 6 pm) I never make promises I can't deliver on, but I promise you after Weds you will no longer be able to get BlackCoin for these low prices. The community gave me the tools to be able to effectively promote BlackCoin, and I will deliver on my promise. I spent over 10 years learning how to promote my products on a very limited budget, and I am going to use the skills to help the BlackCoin community. Also, I have a few things in the works to coincide with our press release on Weds. So yes it might dip a bit before next Weds, but after next Weds BlackCoin will continue to rise in value. So everyone who is selling their coins cheap this week will be kicking themselves next week. |
