1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Two Carreer skill benefit of gambling on: November 21, 2023, 07:59:40 PM
There exist over one million and one reason why people hate gambling, but few benefits of gambling can make a player to outsmart his colleagues in the office. Or even in an interview. I was able to check how gambling benefits relate to what HR officers look out for in a candidate before hiring them. There are 2 main benefit of gambling that improves the major skills people look out for in an employee in every offices.

1. Critical thinking: there have never been any job opening that doesn't require candidates to have this skill, because every company needs it to grow. And under critical thinking include skills like problem solving, idealist etc.

2. Socialization: Mainly the corporate world will call it interpersonal relationship. It's a very crucial skill anywhere we find ourselves in the world. And gamblers who participate in board games, easily develop the skill. When in the office, they'll always socialize and make friends with co-workers.

Personally, I've experienced these two, in my daily conversation with people. And realized that my responses are now more effective than it used to be in the past, before I began gambling. I'd always think fast and respond accurately what the next person wants to hear. And most times it makes them laugh.  Grin

There are other benefits of gambling, and how it has helped your gambling life. It'll be great if you shared some of it with us. Cheers.
1582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 21, 2023, 07:32:30 PM
I keep seeing gamblers advising themselves that you are one step closer to winning the jackpot when you quit too early,  it's sad that they strongly believe this.

Is this true?
Definitely, a big lie I have proven it so many times this used to be my mantra but I totally abandoned it because it is chasing your losses and trying to beat the house which is something you never do when gambling.

If you don't want to become a beggar and lose everything don't believe this big lie that you are one step closer to winning the jackpot because this is a luck-based game, there's no guarantee on every roll, you can have as long as 20 losing run or even more trying to get to that jackpot, there's a possibility that those who are following this advice are using martingale method who keeps doubling in the hope that the next roll will recover all their loses.

It's not completely a dumb strategy, few gamblers benefits using the method. Although, it's not easy to risk more, a win could be our next result. I'll always advice gamblers not to follow the strategy of another gambler. It doesn't work for you, chasing the losses. Many that do chase the lose end up in regrets and have nothing left to bet. Still some people benefit through the same strategy. Gambling is not a niche with a general skill that works for everyone. We all have a goal, and the advice of gamblers around us shouldn't concern us, the aim is hitting our goal. Which should be personal to each of us. A player might stop his strategy because he read your post, yet he'll blame himself, if he doesn't get similar results like you do. Those players whose aim is to win big in gambling should monitor their games, and be able to diversify in strategies. Until something works out. Sticking to one way of gambling to win big, Isn't gambling in the first instance. As we are expected to gamble with everything; skills, strategies, decisions etc. What works, we don't know. Hence, saying you can't follow this step or must stick to this step depends on what a player is looking out to get. Our personal idea, should be valued greater than other people's advice. It'll be useless trying to convince anybody to use a procedure or blame them for not using a specific strategy. In gambling sense, those who advised OP are completely wrong, if Op tags them wrong and vice versa. In a nutshell, gambling is a personal encounter.
1583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: November 21, 2023, 06:12:44 PM
It's not like that, but most of them are like that because they can't control themselves properly, so they gamble continuously because they have become addicted, and basically the human mind is easily tempted by advertisements on the internet, they are already interested, especially when they play, and what I know in my experience, beginners who gamble will be given a small win to attract them deeper, even though they know it's an attractant but it doesn't guarantee them to stop there, surely they will return to gambling and continue like that until they experience gambling addiction. In fact, when they have experienced addiction, it will make them turn into a more sensitive person, and in my opinion, relationships with lovers will also be affected, even with family, even if it will happen if they are severely addicted, I say this because according to the main topic "the madness of addicts", drug addicts or gambling are equally bad, both of these will harm themselves in terms of finance, health, and relationships. More or less, their friends will stay away because they don't want to get carried away with this dangerous addiction. And remember they need to be able to control themselves before gambling.

Not loving our self, will affect others not to love us. Gambling addiction, helps our loved ones to some extent, to stop loving us in future. They'll pretend to stick by us, but when the addiction doesn't allow us enough time to think properly, they, our loved ones, will find a way of adjusting their friendship with the addicted person. It's certain that most indoor gamblers expose themselves to gambling addiction, because their actions are hidden. And can hardly be traced by other people around them. It's normal to find a person we can trust, as gambling newbies, could be a gambler, and discuss our new habits, and how it's affecting our daily activities. Because most of them don't enjoy the money won, which is attributed to greed. They easily get glued to gambling and forget about other exercises like reading and working out. Which they used to practice before they became gamblers. Such a new development, opens an avenue for questions. Close family members can query him. Nothing can be hidden for so long. They can ask questions like, I hardly see you reading, like before, what is it that replaced your reading habit? The way we ask the question also determines if they'll tell us the truth or get cunning about their answer. Asking such people questions like "what's wrong with you?" may not be effective. Because within them, nothing is wrong. Hence, having a discussion session with them using questions to steal the truth from them can be very effective. The reason, which is bad, why people or friends avoid addicted gamblers is, they feel nothing can be done to help. Some only get concerned, if the addicted person now steals or borrows money from them without paying back a dime. If not for actions like that, the addicted person will be allowed to waste years in addiction, provided he uses his funds to finance his bad habit. Thereby leading the player to a more difficult situation, as getting depressed.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 21, 2023, 05:36:30 PM
The only thing that I can sell my properties for is Bitcoin, selling your things to gamble is sure to end in disaster for you, because you are betting all that money on luck, I can see that the man in the story of OP is a greedy man who only thinks for himself, that's why he won't listen to his family, they must have been telling him to stop for a long period of time before they decide to print out his photo and spread it around to make him stop gambling, the family are trying to safe themselves before the man causes more damages to their lives, my parents used to say that a gambler as a son is a lost son, as they believe or due to the past experience they have with gamblers, they believe that the son will sell everything for gambling.

Someone said this family went too far but I don't see how, if they don't stop him first he will do harm to them too, for someone who only have a house which he and his family are residing decide to sell the house so that he can gamble, where did he except his family to stay? On the streets? If he is living alone and he decide to do this to himself its better, maybe he want to sleep on the street homeless, but he shouldn't put his family in the same suffering.

I can't imagine the pain the family must have went through, this is a disgrace for them, it's a big shame and when they move out of their home every morning, they will have this feeling of embarrassment in them, as if people are all talking about them, I am sure that they must have use everything they know to make this man stop but as always, some gamblers always went too far, such people shouldn't have become a gambler from the beginning.

Look, spreading his photos around his street, like a lost person, wouldn't solve the difficult problem. He is struggling with addiction and this method can't stop him. By any means he'll be elligible to gambling outside his province. Inviting him to order, is the best tool required to fix a broken person. Although, it's not simple, as it'll need his cooperation. Reading the story, he failed to cooperate with his parents, and it led to a public disgrace of the young gambler. If they had a second thought, working on his resistant would solve a bit of his problem of avoiding them, if he did. Have a rethink on if the boy doesn't return home again forever. Who is going to feel the most pain? his parents of course, as relatives would flood them with millions of questions about their son's where about. It's indeed a shame, but we need to control our actions towards our wards. No matter what they do, they still are our loved ones. His parents are acting out of fear. The reason, because gambling has destroyed many homes. Their son is doing it already, improvising a solution as that as their all. Elaborates how unprepared they are in stopping the bad habit of their son. Investing anger on the boy, will only get them extra disgrace in future. Nobody cares if he wins big later, like OP said. What matters is changing him, first. After that, the family can send him to learn skill. Distracting him from any thought of moving back into gambling.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: November 21, 2023, 04:48:45 PM
At young age I knew about sports gambling from a friend who made some funds through gambling. He talked to me about gambling, as a way I could be making some fund, instead of asking for fund all the time from my parents. Then, I had no funds or device to gamble on the site, he showed me. Through his guidance I was able to learn how to play big odds on teams that seem vulnerable to their opponent. To maximize my win, if they eventually won. When I began gambling, that very site wasn't functional anymore. But, I don't remember blaming anybody about my gambling habit. I took it upon myself, as my responsibility, despite being introduced to gambling by somebody else. The last time I checked he's no longer a gambler. Already moved on with his career. Hence, he wasn't addicted, just did it as a way to make money. Neither I'm I addicted to gambling. The fun of calculating the right slot on a roulette game still makes me enjoy playing the game. Although, with little funds that'll amount to huge money if summed up today. Yet, the fun of it, doesn't ring any alarm of regret or stretching out blame on my friend. If I had not controlled the way I gambled, or lost huge amount of money in a single day. Definitely, I'll blame the friend that introduced me into such a lifestyle. It's actually the reason, me as a person, doesn't direct anybody into gambling as a method of earning money. I'm surprised that a good number of friends who made money via gambling, stopped along the line. With no going back, at the top of their of mind. I prefer letting people choose what, how, and when they want to spend their money. Especially regarding gambling.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: November 21, 2023, 12:37:15 PM
Basically money management is needed in any case, whether it's in your real life or anything related to money, especially in gambling where sometimes even though you have prepared some management that you think is good it cannot be denied that when you are in a gambling session you can forget all that, the reason? yes because your mind is distracted by whatever is there, it can be because of greed or more often than not you put a large enough budget because you are too excessive in considering the chances of winning in gambling, and as a bad impact, maybe they also already know that it is very likely that their finances will be randomized or destroyed because you cannot fully manage all the money allocations.

In my opinion, all of this happens because you are too much, therefore we must be able to become responsible gamblers, do you know how? yes, one of the ways that you can become a responsible gambler is that you must first understand the opportunities and risks involved in gambling, I think if you understand it, especially for the possibility of a large risk, then you will not dare to put a very large amount of budget or that can disappoint you if you end up losing.

In our daily life activities, going to the mall with large budget, for example, we end up buying things we don't need. Same is applicable to gambling. A good number of gamblers who don't follow money management techniques, end up regretting why they gamble. I've read some blog posts that encourage gamblers to engage in gambling with few cash and keep their card aside. Gamblers can go to an extent of having two signatories in their account. Enforcing certain restrictive criterion would help the gambler to mange money, when in gambling session. As most times, we may not be careful enough, we'd be carried away by the cool experience of gambling. If that happens the money management measures will stop us, the gambler from falling into a trap. The bank can be instructed to set a daily limit on our expenses. These limitations helps the gambler to return back to their right senses. Even, during the next gambling session urge, the gambler will be more conscious, in spending money. The whole war against not becoming addicted, is dependent on the gambler. At the initial stage of gambling, before being deeply involved in gambling. The player can trust a family member with his decision. Then, the person, will work closely with the gambler, to observe when he begins to add odd behaviors to his existing attitude. But, when we keep it a secret, the gambler will have to suffer with money management. Though, not all players. Yet, nobody can predict, their fate in gambling. A day can come when we'll not be emotionally stable to keep up with being conscious of our decision. That's why even the most professional of all gambler can be a victim of crazy gambling someday. Which still keeps money management a top of any other gambling precaution available. At least we can't gamble when we don't have access to money.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 21, 2023, 11:51:36 AM
I think both are possible reasons to make the gambler lose control but thats is not always the case. Not everyone who wins big or losses big, losses control. Some choose to stay in control of the game and just enjoy it. Let us not hope for the worst.
Anyway, you see when some wins big, it creates overconfidence to win consistently that makes gambler hope that it can happen once again, that it is their time with luck. Then a significant loss can be emotionally distressing. The desire to regain what was lost then disappointment can drive compulsive behavior. Gamblers may think they can recover their losses and return to the previous state of success. Thats why I always think that regardless if it is a big win or loss, gamblers should learn to pause. Its our mind and emotions that pushes us to decide impulsively.

You've made a remarkable point, about staying in control. While gambling, the gambler holds full culpability on their decision. Whether to lose control or not. The demoralizing factor is their emotions on the results of other gamblers. Failing to acknowledge the individual difference in gambling experience, leads gamblers to choose a wrong route in decision making. A player that possesses critical thinking, has better advantage over others who don't. Continuously, playing games due to the outcome of another gambler's bet, restructures the self control of the gambler to think he deserves to win, like everyone else. If he is in control, what matters to others won't be meaningful to him. Hence, he'll move ahead with his conclusion of hitting the exit button. Notwithstanding the success of the player next to him. Healthy thoughts, facilitates in minimizing loss of control as gamblers. As the brain would keep reminding us of the repercussion of trying again; running broke. Which brings forth anxiety. When we win, it's superb and worth celebrating with more trial, to see if it's our most lucky day. But, the opposite may surface as a result. Then, our thoughts should also go to the opposite side. Gambling is a game of mind. Refusing to respect our instinct, is wrong, mainly in gambling. The possibility of experiencing a simultaneous win, isn't one in gambling. When a player wins twice or thrice in a roll, it's a trap. Though we call it luck. But, when the losses starts appearing, withdrawing from the initial happiness easily is very hard. The player wants to hit another joy again and again. Here, he'd lose all his wins, trying to regain the money he lost. What stopped him from stopping, needs to be studied.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 9 Years Before He finally claim his lotto rewards on: November 21, 2023, 10:53:32 AM
A very lucky man despite the troubles that he experienced. At least he managed to get what he deserved. It's best that you don't let tickets hang around or let anyone near it that could destroy it unless it's already invalid. Great win plus the benefits of the additional percentage. Woo.
This incident happened to our country and this is a real life story, 9 years is too long but he's very persistent to claim his prize even if it took so long> I don't know if the news mentioned how much he spent for all the court hearing and lawsuit but 12Million pesos is a huge amount on this day for an average person. The money he won can be used to start a business or use it in buying property and investment. About the rift of the winner to his daughter, I think 9 years is enough for not be able to forgive his daughter. In the first place, It's not a good idea to ruin your family just because of money and unexpected circumstances.

This sounds like a viral story in your country, even, I tried to look it up using some keywords, but was able to find few blog articles on the event. There is no place it's written on the article I read, the amount he spent on the case. In 9 years, which isn't a transient period, pursuing a court case should cost him lots of cash. But, it shouldn't be close to his reward. It's quite disheartening to spend 9 years with the person who burnt or rumpled the bet ticket. Seeing his daughter as the facilitator of his stress and trouble, wouldn't cease to visit his mind. It'll lodge in his subconscious. Thereby, worsening a new day, between the both; father and daughter. You have got a reasonable thought, about not allowing money to build a foundation of argument and hatred in your home. Imagining the difficult days and trauma the father passed through, from day 1 of the event down to 9 years. Only a few percent of men would not take offense on the main genesis of the problem, regardless of who or what the person is to them. Don't forget he's a gambler. And the jackpot would have been his all time favorite breakfast. That morning, she ruined his happiness. On the second flip, nothing supersedes family. Money may try to, but it's not worth the angst behind a broken home. Somewhere in his heart, today, he'll be regretting his actions on his daughter. The delay, brought him more fame, and respect  from the worldwide gambling community. Many victims of delay can corroborate, the wait is always worth it, as it comes alongside multiple rewards.
1589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Thought of Giving Back to the Community? on: November 21, 2023, 10:04:25 AM
Aside the notion behind the giveaway, as we all know the reason why Influencers send giveaway and the tricks that walk behind it. Giving back to the community is definitely salient, at least in making us better gamblers. Knowing that other people in the society have a little share off our big win. Involuntarily encourages us to craft out good predictions and analysis, each time we are about to gamble. And, also, help us organize our big wins, prior to another day of bounty distribution. Giving back to the society shouldn't or isn't a one time exercise. The community is large and not every user would get the first giveaway. Therefore, big winners, will need to manage their wins, in preparation for another win big season. Such that their wealth of gambling skills can be disseminated across more users in the community. Additionally, the traffic they gain through the consistent giveaway, can be thought or lectured on the ethics of gambling. Returning wealth to the society isn't only about physical materials; laptops and money. These are just mediums of attracting people, then in my jurisdiction, those who don't get these items, would also gain from the gambling advice I'd be tweeting. Example; informing the users about the disadvantages of gambling addiction. And, providing them with the reason why I'm winning big; is because of self control, risk management and money consciousness. Few lines of good words can spread across multiple readers and change their gambling perspectives. For good. This would be my personal method of reaching out to the wider community. No way is it possible to get my big win across everybody on my timeline as an influencer. I didn't go through his tweets, but some influencers still demand users to execute a kind of survey; retweet and share, to be eligible.
1590  Economy / Economics / Re: Marketing Strategies in the Digital Age on: November 21, 2023, 09:13:47 AM
In fact, technological advances make it easier for everyone to carry out their activities, not only for business but for everyone, but there is a slight problem in existing technological advances where there are some groups who do not accept this technology, they cannot compete, for example traditional traders with online traders. offline/traditional traders don't want to follow developments and are less innovative in promotions so their merchandise doesn't sell due to online trading so they demand the government close all online trading platforms,

This is actually, my first time reading about such thing, did it actually happen in your region or you're predicting it. Because most local traders are beginning to take their business online; Instagram and Facebook. The issue delaying their decision in joining the ongoing competition in the online marketplace is, the local traders don't know where to begin. How to get a marketer, set an advert and build a social media page. These things still are not clear to them. Because if they understood that the online trading is the reason they're not making enough sales. Nothing would have been a barrier, other than getting started. And online marketers don't scout offline for local stores. As they think that such business men would decline their offers. Or maybe not comply to what they don't understand. But, if online marketers get sales people that'll visit local businesses and share with them the magic associated with online marketing. They'll definitely get an appointment. Another problem that can make such local traders to resist digital marketing, is the slow return on investment. After paying the digital marketers they'll be expecting a fast return. Therefore, it'll be appropriate for the marketers to teach them about the wax and wane nature of online sales. Before letting them pay in the first instance. Promoting a business requires enough time than money. The enormous time it requires to build an unswerving online presence in the digital world, is the reason traditional traders are not innovative in consistent promotion of their goods and service. Rather, staying completely offline, feels conducive to them.

1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 20, 2023, 05:52:33 PM
Chasing losses is very common among gamblers, either old or new and this is happening because not all gamblers have a way of making money, they scope around for some money and go back to the casino, when people chases money this way just know that they don't have a lot going on in their lives, they are living hand to hand or it's also possible that they are making too less money.

If you are making too less money from your job you should be risking too less on gambling, $1 is something you should afford to lose but they won't, the reward that $1 will bring them won't be life changing, they are greedy and jobless at the same time.

You can love gambling or the sports games that you bet on but know that the games doesn't love you back, bet responsibly or not at all, this is the right way when gambling regardless of how much you are making.

Such gamblers always find it difficult to be responsible gamblers. They spend most of their time trying to turn gambling into a full time job. By participating extra hours, gambling with the little money they've left. They'll go to gamble with borrowed money and when they're not winning, instead of halting the game, that's when the eagerness to gamble more erupts. Relating them with what Op has on his thread, you'd see that they're those that lose control when they're losing. Don't know if they'll be greedy enough not to take their win immediately they win. Because, it could a golden opportunity. As they're aware about the next result when they continue playing games. Most gamblers looking for quick money don't need to test another luck, after seeing a significant win. Maybe in their next gambling session, they can increase a little bit the amount of money to wager. The problem about such gamblers also include, causing harm to their family and society, by wasting resources. Since they have in mind from the onset that gambling is the only way of getting their daily bread. They can waste family money on gambling. I wonder if they don't care about feeding with the money, instead of trying to multiply the money in gambling. In a nutshell, your response, also contributes to the fact that in Op's question, it has to do with the situation of the gambler. Not everybody would lose control, when they're losing or vice versa. A responsible gambler, will definitely think about his decision, whether win or lose.
1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: November 20, 2023, 05:30:07 PM

Yes, it is true that gambling today is very different from gambling in the past because of the advancement of the times, maybe gambling in the past was often done openly without using cellphones and almost everyone who did not gamble knew and was easily identified by the police, And gambling now most people who gamble use cellphones online so it is more difficult to be known by others, but in gambling now most people experience financial losses because gambling is now played by bookies on gambling sites so the impact is very bad to the point that it can damage the household if the gambler already has a wife. . So for those of us who don't gamble, don't try to do something like that because online gambling is addictive. If we are addicted, we will lose a lot because we are played by the bookie, and for people who are currently gambling or addicted, reduce their gambling so that you do not experience losses because there is no history of getting rich by gambling because gambling is just a trick of the bookie. It is not easy for gambling addicts to stop completely, but if you have the intention, you can definitely reduce or stop completely.

It's not a must that everyone that gambles online has the tendency of becoming an addict. There are multiple factors that lead people to gambling addiction, which has nothing to do with the comfort of gambling online in our private rooms. Some were caused by the lost of a loved one like any other addiction or maybe failure, even relationship heartbreak. Your line about those who are already gambling is right, reducing the rate at which they gamble is fine. At least to an extent where they'll be enjoying their habit, without causing harm to their various loved ones. And due to the false believe that gamblers are toxic, married men should respect their homes and try to not go public about their gambling habit. Especially when their wife is against it. Not to break the home. But, when addicted or in trouble, they'll be no benefit not to let the cat out of the box. As they're the direct first aid to any mental disorder that gambling could cause. Hence, the money used to gamble should mainly be spare cash. Therefore maintaining our duty as the head of the family. Instead of letting gambling to remove the trust and respect our loved ones have for us. It also contributes to the addiction; lack of self control. The goal is to be responsible at all cost. That is gambling when we are completely free from any other task; company or business. Many have lost their good paying jobs because of gambling. It's not encouraged at all. That's one the reasons, Dewi Aries may have suggested that those who don't gamble, yet, shouldn't try it in the first place. Additionally, keeping few amount of money aside a week can also be a better method of not hurting the financial economy of our household.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 9 Years Before He finally claim his lotto rewards on: November 20, 2023, 04:58:12 PM
The moral of the story is that if you don’t want to throw money away, keep your winning lottery ticket intact until you receive your winnings, if the ticket turns out to be such.

As can be seen from this story, it was worth the wait, as well as the fight (to prove that you were right), because the hero of this story nevertheless achieved what he wanted, for which he can only be congratulated. He would have received his winnings immediately if he had ensured the safety of the lottery ticket. This was his mistake, for which he paid with many years of waiting. If he had lost the litigation, then all the money and time spent would have gone down the drain. Actually, this is a good ending to this story.

And now for a moment of fantasy. If this Filipino received his prize money on time and invested this money in the bitcoin, then by now he would already have a very good capital.

This is the type of comment I am looking for while scrolling down the thread. It baffle me how everyone is praising the man for fighting till the end and overlooking the fact that if he had taken good care of his ticket, there would be no all these dramas. I also applaud the man for fighting hard for his right but he caused it upon himself and there's no way they can deny him his reward if the ticket was very intact. This will definitely serve as an eye opener to rest of use that careless about our keeping our ticket safe. If you want to get your winnings without involving yourself in drama like this, you should keep the ticket dearly where children will not temper with it.

But, I think there's a duration to claim the winning and if it passes, the ticket becomes invalid. Or is there anything I am missing here?

Some people would think the game won't be fruitful and tend to drop their ticket carelessly. But, in the case of the man he noticed he won the game and went immediately to redeem his winning. But, with the rumpled paper not all information written on the paper were seen. Hence they declined it, that means he was right in time, but the dispute began with the rumpled paper. Before he had to file the case to a law court. It's not like the ticket was reading till the period of 9 years. No. They were already in court, with the both parties providing evidence to make each side look guilty. Luckily the man wasn't.
1594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 20, 2023, 04:48:39 PM
Both factors affect gamblers.

Loses is the worst of it IMO. If a gambler is winning most likely he may keep winning and even if he has lost control and start betting higher then it is to his advantage because he keeps making money. Moreover if he later start to lose, he is likely to run off with the remaining profit with him, at this stage he has the control to guide himself but not when he is losing. Losing in gambling makes you take even more wrong decisions because you want to either try other pattern to see if you will be lucky which is significant of the confirmation that you have lost control.

So someone who is winning his bet is likely not to change his system indicative of being in control but a losing person continuously changes system, indicative of losing control.

How many times do you think a person would continue winning his bets in a role without losing. That's where the win and lose syndrome comes to play with the instinct of the gambler. In a situation where he wins and along the line loses then wins again. Would he have the self control to stop playing and go home. It's like a more interesting day. And along the line the system begin to bring losses to him. The decision he takes during this period can determine the outcome of what would be his gambling experience that day; joy or sadness. As it's rare to just win consecutively without losing. But, players can lose consecutively, without having any win. In such a situation, then I'd agree with you, because he'll gamble more to see a win. And he'll greedily expect to see a big win. Most times the house would trick him by giving him a big win equivalent to all he's lost that day. At that moment if the player has strong self control, he can stop and try next time. But, because he believes winning follows after winning, he'll continue playing with same thoughts that before his bank roll exhausts he'll get a bigger win. There the house can sweep all the funds leaving him with nothing. In my previous response, you'd notice that even if the winner doesn't have the self discipline to stop, he'll blow it up and end up playing like he's been losing. That's why I'd suggest that both factors are alike and we must not be carried away by one more than the other. Although losing can be worst than winning, in taking decisions. Yet it still depends on the player.

It's a good decision because you can control yourself despite the intervention from your friend. Even you're a hardcore gambler who use every money you earn (but you can still able to survive and feed yourself), but your friend keep advising to not gamble all of your money, it's not a problem if you don't want to listen to him since life is a choice.
But, there's a chance quitting is the best decision. Tongue

Hey mate, why did you spoil this famous meme  Grin it's just funny you changed the whole perspective behind the meme, with something as smelly as that. How would someone drop that in a cave, how possible?. However, giving up can be an option. Because sometimes things won't work and the more we try to make it work, the energy invested in it would be wasted. It's also good to go for a break and try something else. It's an example of failing, because others fail. You'd see a group of gamblers following the same procedure. Despite losing out on it, because they know it's what others are doing, giving it a second thought won't cross their mind. Gambling is a free niche, and people are allowed to have different ideas and techniques that'll be favorable to them. Why would a gambler listen to his friends, regarding an advise they aren't comfortable practicing. It's better we follow a skill coined out or devised by us, and take the glory or blame, if it does or doesn't work. Those people advising OP, if they weren't losing more, trying to win big, would they have gotten the chance to talk to him about their strategy? They want him to lose with them, believing it's the only way to hit a jackpot. Gambling technique should be personal. Even the professionals don't really release their strategies to newbies that buy their books. They'll always tell their readers to figure out a way to go about their own skill, as theirs, the professionals, would be hard to understand. Why is it so, because nobody wants to be blamed for the loss of another gambler.

No one actually visits the casino to have fun, you gotta trick the mind, I like to think of it has a fun night out and I am going to spend a few hundred dollars and have a good time and if I win it's a bonus, like I've said, you gotta trick the mind.
True. There are ways to have fun without spending a dime. We gamble because we want to go home with more than the capital we bring, it could be double or triple but will always depends on your luck. In short we want luck unfortunately it is not that easy and there is no guarantee to have a winning streak, the opposite might possibly happen. Instead of bringing home more than your capital, you might end up bringing nothing.

To feel less disappointed about bringing nothing home. It'll be better to first think that, you'll bring back nothing, then play to win something home. This way the player would be more calculative about his moves and try his best not to lose. Unfortunately, if the win doesn't show up, then the player won't have to bite himself with anger. Because, when we think of our games going to bring us more win and it doesn't it's more painful. Hence, if a player doesn't want to accept that gambling is for fun, then he should face whatever results he gets with joy or sadness. These two only have a thin line and is controlled by choice. Not the results we get. We've seen other experienced players who don't feel bad after losing out in gambling. Just because they chose not to be sad. I don't get it why people would choose to be controlled emotionally by win or loss in gambling. Such a person isn't expected to be a gambler, or should be completely categorized a newbie. Everyday we lose money, ranging from food, transportation, bills etc and it doesn't get us sad. But, once it's about gambling, the facial reaction begin to change in anger. Who then is the brain deceiving? when the decision is on our own side. Whenever a player notice he's about to spend more that his emotions can't control. Then, to stay happy, he should stop. Imagine if the player gambles everyday, and losses each time he gambles. Does it mean he'll never see happiness all week round? That means his gambling journey will lead him to a different dimension of life, where he can't mention to anybody; addiction. As he'll be chasing happiness, until he's no longer in control of the race. Happiness should be from within, win or lose shouldn't have the authority to change it.

I think those things can be tackled with the collateral aspect before giving out the loan. OP can check those things out. It'll be wrong to lend money to a person who doesn't own a single property to hold on to if they don't payback their debt. It's a very risky business, and it could be why nobody is running the business. I've never seen such an initiative. The best method to do the business is by collaborating with the casino. Then they'll be able to point out players who are capable of paying back the money they are owing, despite losing out the whole funds. The people Op is targeting, the inexperienced, would bring him more troubles. Because they are novice and naive, they'll wind things up and turn back to get angry at OP for putting them into another level of stress. The only way we can determine if things would play out fine for the business, is by knowing the testimony of OP when he ventures into the business. In my opinion, instead of going directly to the gamblers to convince them, and the time it'll take him to sign agreements. It'll be best OP sets up his own platform somewhere close to the casino. Such that these players would be the ones meeting him out of their own choice to take loan for gambling. They'll agree on ways of paying him back, then strike a deal. Meeting them when they're down emotionally, can be risky on the Op's side. They can deny, they were drunk or weren't in control of their decision. Which such hacks can fold Op's business. Because players must find a way of cheating Op in the business. Hence, having a different establishment is better, than walking around in casinos to convinces inexperienced players.

The loan procedure by doing the collateral before getting the loan to manage from the loss once the loan guy not able to pay the money.Instead of getting the loan for the gambling site playing the gambler can use the money to invest in the cryptocurrency and multiple the dollars. So then he can do the gambling with the profit from the cryptocurrency trading, but the new gambler will play the gambling without the experience in the gambling sites. So it will be like the random bet to the gambling sites, this only help the gambler to loss. The loan for the gambling itself not the good idea until you had good experience in the gambling sites.

If I got you right, the borrowed money meant to be used for gambling, you mean the player should trade it in cryptocurrency exchange. Then the profit he makes can be used to gamble. The whole process would be riskier than using it straight ahead to gamble. Nothing stops him from losing his trades in cryptocurrency. As it's also uncertain, whether he'll double the win or not. Considering the time frame, for players in offline casinos. Would OP wait until they're done trading before they'll gamble the money. It's more like a fast business, and the lender will be present to see the result. Running such a service online would be a wasted effort. His main aim is the offline casino, if I'm not mistaken, and like you said the experienced gamblers would be better off as his target audience. The wealthy players, who for some reasons ran out of money, maybe physical cash, can patronize OP, and when done playing would refund him before or after 24 hours. That way, it'll be less stressful than when he targets addicts, who have nothing left on them. Raising arguments each day and refusal to comply to their own end of the deal. Some may try to deceive the lender, bring losses to him.

How do I take advantages over the gambles while I am not gambling anymore?
I tend to invest in the gambling. How?
At my visits in the gambling grounds, I will be lending my funds to the losers who has run out of  funds and willing to bet more if they have more money.
I tends to make this a deal with interest charges with concrete agreement to be secured and I will be opened to also accepting collaterals.

I verily know that I will succeed more of the inexperienced and those gamblers who doesn't have gambling budgets including those who can't take control over their gambling emotions

I don't think this is the best investment you can make with your money. Why would you lend your money someone that has no more money and still wants to gamble? First of all, if they lost all their money through gambling then their strategies and risk management is not really the best and the chances are high that they are just going to lose all your money as well. Making a contract and requiring interest is a good thing, this gives you at least some form of protection. However, a contract alone is no guarantee that you actually will get your money back. Let’s look at the worst-case scenario where the gambler loses all your money and still needs to pay you back. What happens if he doesn’t have a job, or only a job that doesn’t pay a lot of money? Even if you go to the courts and ask for your money back, it could take years for you to recover your principal. In my opinion a better approach, if you want to invest in gambling, would be to look for a casino that is looking for a new partner and you could invest your money there. There will always be people trying to sell their shares in casino and if you have enough money, you could buy their shares.

@Yogee do you think the money if paid 9 years back would have been left today? The man must have finished the money. The equivalent of the money then and now is far very different, but the most important aspect of it, is that he got his money back. It's not like the money isn't fiat. However, the whole story is heartwarming, they is more to learn from it; don't give the gambling house a chance to eat your money. Isn't they an electronic way for the lotto company to trace his winning and pay him, without causing all the stress of having to take a legal proceed.  I don't know if the annual interest added to him would be enough to cover for the funds he spent, following the case for 9 years. Yet, I'm impressed to see he won his money back. Everything do happen for a special reason. Today he'll control the money and use it for other things. And replenish all he's lost in the process. Personally, If I have the resources like the man, I'd follow up the money till the better end. No need to let it slide. And remain in the pains of the past forever. The whole story sounds like they naturally helped him save his money for 9 years. As that duration is quite a very long time, that not everyone would stay without moving on to the next level. The battle between gamblers and casinos never ends. A misunderstanding follows the big wins. Causing the gambler lots of damages; emotionally and mentally. The man is indeed strong enough to withstand the disappointment. Some would call it a misfortune and blame it on their daughters. Which would leave the family in chaos for a long time.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 20, 2023, 01:39:29 PM
Both factors affect gamblers. Because winning makes some players feel in control of the game and staying in control is always interesting. Hence, they won't stop easily, even when the wins stop flowing. At the moment of losses, since they've been winning, they'll think of being lucky and that more wins would follow. Until nothing else is left to play. They've never been a time when a gambler kept winning without losing. So, the player will definitely face the both factors in one day. While gambling. Therefore, no need of picking the side that actually makes a player to lose control. Win or lose wash each other's hands in gambling. They appear accordingly, unplanned and unexpected. Their duty is to destabilize the player in ways they can't comprehend. Unless in card games where the winner is expected to continue playing, the right thing to do after winning is to play a little more, then stop. No player has ever gained profits out of losing control in gambling. He would embrace void decisions, because his emotion is not stabilized. That's why players should deposit little amount of money, such that even though they've lost control. The lack of money in their balance would help them get back to their control. And, they'll have nothing to lose or regret on the long run.
