how we can get XC on  https://bitcoinwisdom.com/ ..... we are on crypsy...

get back in the top 25

Top 25 according to what?  Market cap, price, or trading volume?

market cap.

Why is WC listed then?  Its market cap is $112,584 and #100 while XC is $1,421,991 and #24 according to coin market cap.

I would like to remind everybody of the official unofficial mascot 50% of the fund will be donated to the XC development or the PR address:

/Snip

And where does the other 50% go?  In your pocket?  Fuck that, I could save 50% of my XC and just donate to the PR fund directly.

This "official unofficial mascot" shit needs to stop.  I understand some people find it humorous, but it makes the thread look juvenile.

I guess you missed the part where I said I started mining a few hours after the launch of PoW and go on to call me stuck.  Reading comprehension is fundamental.

Maybe I put it wrongly.  People who aren't stuck (In the same way that you are not stuck since you got in early)

Ahhh, I see. No harm, no foul.  Maybe I need to work on my own reading comprehension Smiley

It scares me to see people saying that this is a "buying opportunity."  I have seen that in many investments in the past and it only serves to pacify as the price continues to decline.

I followed vertcoin from $1.10 down to $.30 before selling & was happy I did when it hit $.04.

It's all perspective.  Those early to the party have no risk and aren't stuck (like you).  They can afford to sell at a profit or get out at break even.

cheap is relative, if the one(s) selling own more coins (which is very likely) the current price could also be high compared to the price in a few hours/days

would be nice to have a time machine Wink

I need that time machine.  Smiley

I have had my exit points identified (high and low) since the initial pump of XC and have been holding my coins since I started mining a few hours after the launch of PoW.

Unfortunately, the price is getting close to that low exit point for me.  I would like to get some profit from crypto-currencies, but I set my low exit point at covering my cost of mining equipment and the electricity I used while mining (started almost one year ago).  Everything is paid for, and it was money I could afford to lose, but I'm not sure I am willing to take a loss and hold forever.

It scares me to see people saying that this is a "buying opportunity."  I have seen that in many investments in the past and it only serves to temporarily pacify as the price continues to decline.

Need to download a wallet?

Index of many releases...

...snip...

Thank you URSAY, you legend  Smiley
Would be good to have something like this incorporated into the xc-official.com site.

How did you miss the big "Downloads" button on the left hand side of the XC-official.Scom website?  It's all there.

Read back, you're missing the point.

There is a file called "change log" in the directory that lists the changes.

What point am I missing?  That the downloads archive isn't modern enough? It isn't any more confusing than github for the non technically inclined.

....He says the devs of SDC aren't interested in being part of BlockNet...

It he said that then it is another lie.  This was posted by the SDC Dev:

Hey guys,

I would like to state for the record that SDC has been in contact with XC in advance of the BlockNET announcement.  And that we gave XC permission to include SDC as a participant in the BlockNET announcement.  We see the BlockNET as invaluable tech with unlimited potential, and I would encourage everyone to further learn about the BlockNET before forming concrete opinions.  However, I also want to assure you that we will not let it influence our current plans or development schedule for Shadow.

Blah, blah, blah...

You have been proven to be a liar in the past so why keep talking?

Jesus you guys will do anything to hype this coin...

Really?  You have the balls to comment on hyping a coin after what you do and have done in this thread and others?

You are such a class act.  (Yes, that is sarcasm)

Is there any difference from SuperNET?

Is Xbridge based upon the same principle as SuperNET is?

...this is not similar in code to the Supernet. It's true P2P and vastly more versatile.

REV2 was released over a month ago and there is still no linux/mac client.
is this coin a windows only coin or will there ever be a release of the linux/mac client?

it sucks to get the answer nearly two weeks ago that the client for linux will be released in a few days
but except this empty promise nothing happend.

Haven't you asked about this many times in the past and been answered?

My opinion is, that the price is correlated to a few things like:

Rev2 was released weeks ago and we still don't have a linux and mac client, this is contra productive to the availability and useability of the coin.
I agree that a mobile wallet for android/iphone is also important but no client except a windows client for a closed source coin is a no go.
Even the tor-Stick is useless as it doesn't provide the latest version of the client (as it's also linux).

I think all operating systems should receive a client at the same time, as this is very important for the mass adoption of the coin.
It even shows that we care about every user. A new release should also provide an updated tor stick.

I think at least Rev 2.5 and Rev3 should be released after a working client exists for all major operating systems.

I, for one, can't use my coins and parked them in an exchange as i only use linux.
The current situation forces me to buy a windows license and even worse install this crappy OS just to receive and send coins.

That would only be a big deal if people are unaware that XC is still in development and hasn't launched publicly.

We're sorry for the delay, but it's just not feasible to release versions on every platform without testing the code first - which is what's been happening of late with the windows build.

In contrast, Rev 3's code will be fully ready for the public and available on all platforms on launch day.

Imho, if reviewing other currencys and their code, and that is putting things in XC on halt, why keep doing it?

How did you come to the conclusion that XC will be on hold?

CryptoGretzky probably means if you bought when we were in the 80-100k range back in June when BTC was at 600+ you'd be doing well.

1000XC at .0008 when BTC was $600 = $480
1000XC at .0013 now = $465

I've never understood when people say "bitcoin has dropped a ton but altcoin A hasn't".  Since the value is tied to BTC yes it has dropped a lot.

$15 is a lot?

That is the argument they are making.  That the dollar value of XC has only dropped by 15 as opposed to if you kept your BTC.

0.8 BTC at $600 = $480
0.8 BTC at $356 = $285

Is the correct math. if I bought 100 BTC at 0.025 and sell at 0.0067 I would have 25 btc right now that is a 200% decrease in the tot amount of BTC I initially invested are you fuking crazy guys you do not see this?Huh

Cryptico you're measuring the initial amount in terms of the remaining amount. Your 200% means that the initial amount is 200% higher than the remaining amount.

This is what is meant by the term "200% gain".

For a decrease in value, you need to measure the remaining amount in terms of the initial amount (i.e. the opposite way round). This would be 100 - 25/100 = 75% loss.

Ah ok I get it now the way you see it  Grin Grin I see it in terms of gain so if I would not have sold I could have lost 200% of my tot gain that is what I meant.. If I initially invested 25 and then went up to 100 i would have gained 200% this would have been lost if I would not have sold.

How can you lose more than 100% of anything?  You can be up 10,000% and if you lost it all, you lost 100%.

you loose 100% of what you have at the moment that 100 per cent is 200% more of what I invested first.

Let's just move on.  I have a headache.

+1
