VanillaCoin Android wallet is so awesome Smiley

Why pair new coins with worthless coins ? That's fucking real smart, proving the coins worth first before BTC market...... yeah right 0.o

The only way this is good is that whoever sells their new coins for Spots' dying ones will be loosing out and whoever buying them will be in pure profit.

Need some more coins to be released regularly, it is boring out there, give us 3+ coins of each algo weekly so we have choice and to spread the hash to different coins Tongue
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (official thread) on: May 28, 2015, 08:39:49 AM
Why are you guys working so hard on something that can be done simply, all coins use masternodes now pretty much why can't you just release it.

All this talk & hype about SpreadCoin & masternodes or servicenodes or whatever you guys are calling it yet other altcoins are dropping masternodes out their ass upon release...
Its because this is a quality coin. Our Servicenodes are going to be a lot more advanced than those copy paste coins.
If you think that Spreadcoin is not as good then why do you care so much as to post that?

Your username suits you.  Cool

Dude I was talking to you the other week about ISP's on here...

I think Spreadcoin is swell and all but it has been ages since being promised ServiceNodes, even from the original DEV, the test wallet was working fine but is still being worked on ?

This new wallet brings a nice looking wallet with a fullnode server or whatever it is called but no Servicenodes Sad

Why would you even bother after 8bit, 16bit, now 32bit.... I guess NIST5 wasn't great so they switched it to x11 lol

1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECASH] Official Thread - New Wallet Released on: May 28, 2015, 08:04:17 AM
This is what I think we should do as a Community.

I think we should have a coin swap in the Millions : 1 Ratio which would leave us with a very low coin cap (most likely somewhere under 500k coins to start with) that is if everyone who holds ECASH or buys it to swap does so within the time frame

The total amount of coins traded in at the specified ratio will determine the total amount of coins to start with for the new wallet.

Thus creating a new wallet with completely new branding of the coin, after all it will be a fresh wallet without a massive Blockchain to sync up anymore.

We decide on the Name & PoS rate, we could even base it on random low stake rewards but have it tweaked a little to behave differently.

This is just off the top of my head for something I see working.

^^^ This sounds like an awesome idea.

ECASH wallet does work like stated previously, you just have to give it a while to sync back up to the most recent block.

What are you guys talking about the first 1% / year period? Well POW should be rejected at 2091, so I'll spread out like 1 coin in a few wallets or something just so there's network weight while everyone waits for round 1. You guys are right in that there should have been another 0% buffer phase for the wait after POW. It was just an oversight designed to be a non 0 buffer period that hopefully allows people to buy on market before dpos starts. I almost made it 100% per day to keep things scarce during that period so.. let's be happy I didn't make that mistake.

I can put any amount in till the weight picks up. I just want to make sure the chain keeps moving.

You can mine the chain to move the blocks and set the coins not to stake.

That is the most fairest way.

POW should be rejected at block 2091. Will have to stake something I think.

I'll just do it with something small so it's minimal. That or I could give away whatever I get early from staking the 10, but I don't expect it to amount to much of anything even if i stake it all.

You guys don't have to worry my goal is not to screw you all over and kill the market asap.. I just wanted something fun and different to trade. Things were getting boring!

But mining after PoW finishes just moves the PoS blocks along as 0.00 reward blocks for the miner.

1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECASH] Official Thread - New Wallet Released on: May 21, 2015, 01:12:59 PM
Mine is working perfectly. Sometimes it says not staking but the coins keep rolling in.

Wallet does not want to sync today, wallet not responding. Any suggestions?  I have restarted the wallet numerous times.

Thanks

Yeah it has been happening for the last 2 days for me, it stakes while it says it's syncing when it is already in sync and always orphans, I can't even click the application without it responding, all I can see is the balance, tx & graph when its running in the background with all other tabs closed, even then the graph has crazy ups and downs.

I'm pretty sure this coin is FUBAR'd (Fu*ked Up Beyond Any Repair)

Mine never said staking but coins came in till yesterday, the problem is every single tx for me is now an orphan compared to a few days ago & it says it is syncing onto a block that never moves yet the orphaned tx's keep rolling in but the balance doesn't change when I can see it, it is that unresponsive I can't even get into it to perform a repairwallet or getinfo no matter how many times I restart the wallet or how ever long I leave it on.

I even tried a -rescan when starting the wallet and that done nothing.

This is probably the reason why iGotSpots hesitated to help out again, IMO the code of ECASH has been chopped & changed so much that it is unstable.

This is what I am now experiencing since starting back up my wallet.... It was working 3 days ago, these coins are useless now aren't they since blocks can't sync how can it even be added back onto an exchange or traded between people ?

An what does this SpreadCoin VPS Node accomplish ?

Anything a normal node can't do ?
Well, it is on 24/7 and it has a lot of bandwidth. I guess they are the main benefits.
Theres also the fact that you don't need to leave your own computer on all the time, which could be a fire hazard.

Lol ok then but it seems pretty pointless though.

You do know computers are designed to be always on right.... In the past 25 year of dealing with PC's I haven't had one ever catch fire or overheat unless it was a dust problem Cool
It won't be pointless when we have servicenodes, which will require significant CPU power. (from what I've heard)

Significant CPU usage you mean, well that's not good at all, things are meant to be energy efficient, its like your basically saying "Yes we have servicenodes but you can't run them on a PC properly & will get kicked due to using too much resources and not performing well with score, you won't be able to do anything else on it so you run them on your rented VPS to secure your servicenode and score"
When I say significant power, iIm talking about when (hopefully) Spreadcoin gets popular. Because then we will have one masternode servicenode managing many peers and performing services and that is why they will have high CPU usage.

Right now they will use low amounts of CPU power.

Will you get stakes or a reward for being a servicenode ?

BTW that's some pretty slow internet upload lol I'm in Australia as well and my Telstra ISP plan is 500GB with Free speed-boost & a bonus 500GB for being a long term member totaling 1TB Download/Upload limit.

My max speed connection is 110+ Mbps Download & 2Mbps Upload.

All on Cable, no silly NBN or ADSL lol
