1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: June 30, 2022, 03:15:24 AM
Yeah right, I also think the same as you. if we only make gambling as a hobby without exaggerating. or to a certain extent. then maybe we can minimize it to avoid gambling addiction itself. although sometimes there are many people who prioritize their hobbies more than their work. but that's rare. Gambling should not be the focus. but only used as a means of having fun for a moment. and related to greed, when someone has already entered into greed, it is very difficult to stop people like that. because when greed takes over, common sense sometimes becomes dull.

It's because you guys are not really into gambling that's why you say things like that. That's not applicable for me as a regular bettor for long. It's easy for you to just say things without experiencing the real situation on your feet. You don't know the feeling of being a pure bettor so for me, just sit back and relax and allow us to become addicted responsibly.

You also have to remember that even if we are already addicted to gambling, we are automatically irresponsible all-around. It's already very common that there are lots of people that is addicted to gambling but NOT ALL do have the same irresponsible act. From what I observed here in the forum, especially among those not gamblers or newbies, when they saw the term "addict" it means that person is now going nowhere else and has already fallen into the trap of gambling which is not in reality.
1582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 30, 2022, 03:00:33 AM
Being overconfident is good for me as long as the boxer follows properly the strategy that they worked hard for and does not treat the fight as an easy match.

I do hope its fruit is positive, I agree that it can give a boxer a boost in their performance but often times boxer who shows overconfidence often messed up causing costly mistakes.  I am not a pessimist here just talking about the worst possible scenario of being overconfident, especially in a boxing match.  And looking at Magsayo's opponent, I believe Vargas has the ability to take advantage of an opponent's mistake.

That's why I said as long as that boxer follows their respective strategy, then being overconfident is just fine. Being overconfident is not that bad since it means regardless of their opponent's strengths and advantages, they are confident that they can match those. Of course, they know there might be some flaws but that what's they worked for during their training.

I'd rather see an overconfident boxer that acts responsibly instead of being too much on a defensive phase and only throwing a few blows if there's a chance. Magsayo as a champion already knows what to do. It doesn't mean he is overconfident too much, he will likely mess up.

This is Magsayo's first title defense after all that's why I'm seeing him as a more pumped and hyped here compared to the challenger.
1583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: June 29, 2022, 11:59:15 PM
In my opinion if a person thinks they are having problems with their gambling to the point they need to quit, then they need to quit completely and do not use any app, website or video game that resembles the gambling game in which they are having problems to limit themselves,

Agree and it's really insane and crazy to think that those applications will help the gambler to stop or even minimize their gambling activity for real. Why such a gambler that is recovering from their gambling habit will try those applications where in the first place, they are just giving excitement for these people to return to gambling.

Can't imagine what will be the feeling of these people do when they hit big multipliers at those applications. That was a good feeling.

Since those are just a virtual money jackpot, that will leads these people to try a real deal by testing their luck again at legit gambling sites or applications.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to control Gambling behaviors? on: June 29, 2022, 11:53:20 PM
Is this possible according to your opinion and what are the tips that can be followed?

Of course, gambling behaviors can be controlled. I don't see any reason why it can't be controlled. Even a gambling addict can overcome that worst behavior.

Tips? It varies and depends on how the gambler is.

- For casual gamblers, no need for any tips as these people are just gambling moderately or when they just feel it

- For regular gamblers, even if they do gamble frequently, these people are still in control of themselves and just a bit of medication if they want to stop for good

- For addictive gamblers, it's not mean that they are addicted, they are not responsible. There are lots of gambling addicts that are still responsible for their life outside gambling. Treatment here varies on how that person is managing their gambling activity.

- For hardcore gambler that isn't responsible now for everything and showing worst actions, they should be assisted by their families and friends as these type of gamblers will ignore any advice and help.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Had you ever x10,000? on: June 29, 2022, 11:45:25 PM
Is that just-dice.com? I miss that old-classic interface.

For those who are not aware of that Clam-based gambling site, it was one of the popular dice sites before, even much early I think before the famous Directbet.eu, Nitrogensports.eu, and Cloudbet.com. There's also an investment part where users can put their Clams in the site's bankroll.

Back to topic, never in my entire dice game experience or slots to hit that kind of multipliers. Regardless of the amount involved, it's so rare to hit that multiplier.

Because of this post, I remember having a bankroll investment on that site way back several years ago. I don't remember how many figures I'm talking about here but I will have a look at them later on.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 28, 2022, 11:54:14 PM
Indeed, rumors says that Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather will share a ring again to have a last dance for an exhibition fight but that remains a speculation for now as Pacquiao's camp is still resting and taking some time to bond to his family because he exhausted his time and efforts for the presidential race few months ago. Let's if that will happen or not, soon!

I also stumbled on those rumor articles about the possible return of Manny Pacquiao to the ring. First, it's about against Mayweather. And there are many speculations that I can't remember the names of those fighters. As long as Pacquiao has no statement, that will remain a rumor.

He is currently out of the country for a vacation after losing the PH Presidential bid and as we know Manny, when he is out of the country, he is not just doing a vacation but making business. Maybe one of those is his return on the right for an exhibition match. Well, as long as it was against a big name too, he can pursue exhibition matches.

Who knows something is currently brewing behind the scene.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 28, 2022, 11:43:13 PM
Just a theory on my side though, even in the Bivol fight, 115-113? they try to rob Bivol in that fight against Canelo because that's score didn't represent the entirely of the fight. It could be 118-110 on some score cards. So clearly, I would say some judges favored Canelo an if this fight goes to the score card again, not sure how GGG can win it.

I remember reading the article that if only Canelo shows a close fight against Bivol, he might end up winning the judge's score.

But since Bivol cornered Canelo in most rounds that whatever manipulation attempt will do, it won't help Canelo, there is no choice but to give Bivol a win which is no doubt, he clearly won the fight without a question. Canelo got frustrated during the fight and Bivol takes advantage of it.

In my own personal interest, I also like GGG winning the match to shut down Canelo's mouth where recently he throws bad words against GGG.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 28, 2022, 11:33:16 PM
A lot of rumors spreading in the boxing world that these two will fight this October. Hopefully it is true.

Well since the rumored fight date is Oct, 29th 2022 let's wait till Floyd Mayweather gives a date other than this one. \

What does Mayweather have to do with this fight? Sorry, I don't follow, is he one of the promoters of this fight?

I also believe that Crawford will win this fight, there's no way the fight will end on the judges' scorecards, one should be KO here or TKO.

I tried to search for some related news involving Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his connection to the anticipated fight between Terence Crawford and Spence Jr.

What I found is here: Mayweather: When Spence-Crawford is Done You Will Hear It From Me! Established June 14, 2022

There's no mention of anything about the involvement of Mayweather Jr. rather than he just wants to promote the fight. I don't know what does Mayweather have to do with the fight and it looks like he has an intel tracking the negotiation behind the scene. Smiley
1589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To build your Professionalism on casino on: June 28, 2022, 11:23:52 PM
Things to obey:

1. A gambler should gambling as an entertainment, not as a way to make money or the earning source of money.

What if I will say, I'm not treating gambling as entertainment but rather I tried my best to win every one of my bets.

Isn't it more entertaining to win rather than consider everything as entertainment?

You don't have to treat it as a source of money but if it's just for entertainment then gambling is not for you.

6. If you lose your assets then don’t pursue the losses.

It's really bad to chase losses but if you are betting on sports betting, those losses will give you encouragement to do your very best next time.

I'm not chasing my losses but I do everything to get those in a responsible way.

I think your success in gambling will definitely visible if you follow the these instructions. Here  you can add your knowledge and experience for the flourishing to this concern.

Definitely no and I disagree with you. Since when do we have to follow specific things just to be successful in gambling?

Work on your way as we have different ways and behavior in terms of gambling.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 28, 2022, 11:13:56 PM
I don't understand why the Clippers should do this if ever it happens.
They did great considering there's no Kawhi, no PG13 at most of their games and still made it to the play-in tournament. 2 big stars, that was what was lost during their fight. Like cutting off the head of a Hydra. No leader and yet they are giving every team a difficult time to win against them.
The Clippers have great role players but they just lack the firepower (well because they are injured) and I don't think John Wall is the answer to that. He is also one player that is prone to injuries. Imagine signing him and then 3 of them are all on the bench being paid.  Lips sealed
Clippers fans will be devastated.

I have to agree with you. John Wall is even more injury-prone compared to the Los Angeles Clippers superstars, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Regardless of whether the Clippers will get John Wall for a reasonable contract, they can save those instead to acquire more good role players that will fill the bench. Since when is the last time we saw John Wall playing? Even prior to him being on the baseline for long, he's not getting good numbers for the Houston Rockets. Anyways, according to the shared report, it seems the deal is close to happening.

All I can say is, Houston Rockets made a good move. Not the other way around which is by the Clippers. Smiley
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on how I controlled my Gambling addiction. on: June 28, 2022, 10:49:30 PM
Good thing you have controlled it in your own way. It does mean that other people also have their own way to address their problems.

Thanks for sharing your tips but that would not change the fact that everyone needs to suffer big consequences in order to learn. I really don't like tips and advice from anyone thinking that would be a big help. We will be those who will create our own solution to our problem since we are not in the same boat.

Hope you continue being changed. It's fine to gamble even breaching our limit as long as we remain responsible.
1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: June 28, 2022, 10:39:00 PM
What is your opinion on Fake money gambling apps, do you recognize the potential I think they have to assist in reducing the number of gamblers who loose real money?

How come you ended up with that horrible idea? Do you really think it has the potential to minimize the gambling activity of a certain gambler?

Non-paying apps are already common apps and there are lots of them from anywhere. Did you even imagine what's the effect of it on a player who will experience big winnings on that app but it's just virtual money that they will receive? If they can win big at these apps, it will just give them more interest to test their luck at legit gambling-paying application apps.

That tool won't help. You just contradicted this statement of yours if you truly believed on that idea:

"This sounds like an almost impossible task for many who are already hooked to it and just hearing that alone is discouraging."
1593  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Casinos Vs Ethereum Casinos on: June 25, 2022, 11:41:13 PM
You can either make a bitcoin casino or a crypto casino which has most of the established coins.
But there's no point in making an ethereum casino at all. ETH fees are huge when the network is congested.
People would rather stop gambling on your casino at times like these which would directly result in a loss of revenue for you.
So the best thing to do would be to create a crypto casino but even then there are so many casinos already.
So the competition is really tough. Might as well think of something unique but a n ethereum casino is a bad choice.

I think creating or building an ETH casino is not OP's goal or purpose but rather looking for opinions if playing in Ethereum casinos is somehow convenient too like playing in the usual bitcoin casino. We really are concerned about gas fees in ETH and I think there will be no solution for it for now. Depositing ETH to an external service will likely cost a huge fee compared to usual.

The only advantage of using ETH casinos, as I mentioned already, is the ability to link our own wallet like Metamask into the platform making the deposit cheaper and much safer. But I doubt gamblers really prefer that way that's why it's now up to OP if he will test the experience of gambling in an ETH Casino.
1594  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly on: June 25, 2022, 11:28:27 PM
Dunno if there is a list somewhere but i was wondering if some of the crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly and which sportbooks are those?

In my country unfortunately a lot of the crypto sportbooks are blocked, was wondering if some of them offer solution to it.

Been looking through older posts but cant find a clear answer about it.

There are lots of VPN-friendly crypto casinos and sportsbooks but if your region is really prohibited to use the site, that is something you shouldn't consider doing as you will violate the site's Terms of Service. Check first those. If your region is not listed as a prohibited country then you can try to access the site first with your normal ISP connection then next, try it with a VPN.

So far, what sites have you already done some tests on?

Why not just try different sites until you breached successfully.
1595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 25, 2022, 11:15:20 PM
Well this is something very interesting, and I hope it happens like this, but I think that the main reason why they want the fight to happen is because of the amount of money that is involved there, I don't see that they do it for the pure interest of boxing, I don't think that it be for that, rather the most logical thing is because of the business model, because the big investors are willing to make juicy millionaire bets, and with respect to the trilogy, that Canelo vs. GGG is something that is good is positive, but in my personal opinion I don't see this fight as exciting, because CANELO has faltered a lot, who I see as good for making good fights is the Russian Bivol.

Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence is one of the most awaited fights for several years. It was highly demanded by most boxing fans around the world. Disregarding the money, they will really meet each other no matter what at the end of the line in the Welterweight Division as they are both undefeated. Money is a factor but there's no other way that these fights should not happen. A total of 4 World Titles are at stake here and it's not just about being money.

If this is a non-title match and these two didn't target each other, then it's a money matter fight but it's not. It's even a must-watch for me compared to GGG vs Canelo III where the former is now in his retirement period and the latter just came from an embarrassing loss against Bivol that he even wasn't able to make it a close fight as a heavy favorite to win in that match.
1596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 25, 2022, 11:05:26 PM
The odds is in favor to Magasayo as of the moment though this will be a real challenge for him since Magsayo is shorter than Vargas and his opponent has a longer reach which can be a disadvantage for Magsayo. The exciting Match will happen in less than two weeks, I wish both boxer to become more healthy so we can see a good fight between this two. They both have pros and cons, and those who have the determination to win will surely get the title. Magsayo is also my choice here, there’s a lot more that he can show to us and for sure Magsayo will do something crazy to beat Vargas.

Being at a disadvantage in height and reach is already a typical thing to see for a PH Boxer. We are not even looking at it now as a disadvantage, thanks to the PH Boxers that erased the speculations that being much shorter in height and reach is a hindrance.

Besides, even with an advantage of height and reach, if that boxer doesn't utilize it in his match, it's all useless. Might be a good factor if a boxer does have physical traits like that but nothing beats a good strategy. Magsayo's speed and power punch can make that disadvantage turned into his advantage.

Confidence is good but too much of it is devastating.  I hope Magsayo won't get overconfident in this fight.

Being overconfident is good for me as long as the boxer follows properly the strategy that they worked hard for and does not treat the fight as an easy match.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 25, 2022, 10:55:07 PM
Anyway, speaking about rigged games/fight. There's this speculation about Jake Paul vs Tyroon Woodley that the latter was forced to get KO'd and videos are surfacing in the internet about what was Jake Paul is trying to say in the ring moments before Woodley got KO'd. What do you think about it guys?

Not sure until some official news was raised about it. But for me, as long as Paul brothers are involved, I believed there will be always a shit that will happen behind the script. The reputation of these Paul brothers is not so good that the community thinks they are just ruining the sports of boxing.

They are playing with the bookies. They will find a way to lure people to bet on their match as they know many wants to see them being defeated. That's how these brothers do business and not just they will sacrifice their bodies for nothing.

I'm against these Paul brothers so I will now conclude your shared rumor is true lol.
1598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Trends For 2022 on: June 25, 2022, 10:45:39 PM
online gambling indeed increased during this pandemic period. i believe, some of these gamblers who were previously into offline casinos found their way in in online casinos, particularly crypto casinos.

Not just those who are previously gamblers already but even those who are not into gambling, either casual, average or totally newbies, even try to gamble while they are just at their home because of the lockdown. In Europe, there are reports I remember back in 2020 that are being shared here that a big number of minors entering the gambling scene also increases because their activities got suspended during the lockdown.

Regardless if there's a pandemic or not, the gambling industry will really grow. It's unstoppable. The pandemic contributes to the rapid increase of gamblers because during the peak, people have nothing to do but stay home and they are exposed too much to the internet.
1599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Macau's Casino Operation Continues Despite The Latest Outbreak on: June 25, 2022, 10:35:21 PM
In fact, it is quite contradictory to see that while many establishments are being penalized by restrictions, casinos that are a "non-essential" service to the population continue to operate freely.
But for the government they are "super essential" and the taxes they pay are what pay the healthcare costs so the government can continue to care for its sick population.

Macau is called the Las Vegas of Asia. It's now obvious why gambling there is considered essential.

It's like the primary core of businesses there that if you removed those, the region will be a total downfall. It's just right for them to let casinos operate there to make everything balance. Lockdown might minimize the spread but that will take a heavy toll on the revenue as money here is used on their primary spendings much especially, as you mentioned, healthcare-related costs.

Surely Macau authorities can now handle the pandemic now unlike before when every country has no idea yet or any information regarding the virus making it difficult to battle against it and the only solution is by doing a lockdown.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 25, 2022, 10:18:05 PM
But sometimes the phase will be different if you start to cashout your money on gambling site. For sure this crash affect even if your old timer because you will possibly look at the value especially when you bought yours at expensive rate. But if you mean upon gaming surely gamblers will ignore that because what mostly gamblers aim is to enjoy and try to win their games.

That's a different story now since that person badly needs to cash out.

Price volatility has nothing to do with that as we are the one who needs to adjust.

For me, bitcoin being crashed or not won't impact those gamblers since I think that's even an advantage to them as they will have more Bitcoin in return if they will purchase it by cash. Since they are playing with Bitcoin currency on the gambling site, it means more bankroll to them that they can use in the long run.

When it comes to cashing out, if it was really necessary to do, whether the trend is uptrend or downtrend, these guys will convert their Bitcoin to whatever price.
