15821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: June 14, 2017, 08:38:58 AM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

I don't think so it will make the real money or fiat disappear. Government has the control to cash and they can reproduce it any time they want. But bitcoin, it is decentralized and there's no way for the government to re-product and it has a supply limit of 21 million so when it reached to that supply, there will be no way for it to supply and produce again.
15822  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: June 14, 2017, 08:06:22 AM
By simple investment of Bitcoin you have a chance to double your money. However, just accept the risk or the other side of investing. In addition to double your money maybe you just gamble your money to easily doubled it but don't be greedy.

There's a lot of place where you can invest your bitcoin and if you want to double it. Then you can just diverse to different alt coins or ways of growing it. If you have a lot of bitcoin, you can buy goods then you can re-sell it for generating profit. And you can also do a lending business but you are the one to manage it.
15823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can ETH hype be good for BTC? on: June 14, 2017, 07:23:22 AM
Hello,

First topic for me Smiley

Just thinking ...

Can somehow this ETH hype be good for BTC too at the end?

I guess it will be good for btc as it has a domino effect, when bitcoin is rising alts are affected and I think it will different to bitcoin this time, it will have a positive result.

Or when the ICO madness will be over, will the BTC gain popularity
back  as the "more secure" and "proven" tech in the cryptospace?

Bitcoin will always be the beneficiary when alts are pumping as it is the main crypto currency.
whatever happen inside crypto world the main thing that benefits the most is value for btc since its the main currency still bitcoin so when people start pumping eth or whatever coin it is they will also pumped bitcoin as they needed to buy btc before they can buy the alts that
they wanted to support.

Just because of the hype of ETH many thinks now that it will be bad for bitcoin and there will be a chance that it will be replaced. That's why the main currency for all alt coins are bitcoin and you are right with it. But I'm thinking what if the day came that ETH will be still on hype, bitcoin will still on the seat and we'll just enjoy everything about it.

15825  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally sent LTC to BTC address on: June 14, 2017, 06:54:12 AM
This is the first time I read that it is possible to sent LTC to BTC address and to see someone did this accidentally. And by reading others comment it's legit and possible to happen. I just want to know from OP on what happened. What will happen to the sent btc's? It will burned? Is op will be able to recover his btc? I assume that it won't be converted automatically.
15826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: June 14, 2017, 06:30:43 AM
Job well done Warriors. They really deserve that win and they are proving when it comes to winning streak they are the number one. Looking forward to the next season and will look upon the shuffling of players. Well what do you think about Kevin Durant, he will stay at GSW or he will come back at OKC?
15827  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: June 13, 2017, 09:15:42 PM
I hope my experience will help others when it comes to staying away and avoiding gambling games. There will always be a way to stop gambling addiction, you just need to make yourself believe that you can do it. And there are a lot of people that can help you with every struggle of your life, you just need to ask them.

I agree with you and at the same time the saying, If there is a will there is a way.  It all depends on how we wanted to change once we know we are trapped in addiction.  But the only problem is recognition that we are addicted or not.  If we failed to recognize and accept things.  We can never be able to escape or recover from addiction.  It all start with acceptance, then will and dedication.  Though I can say, I am far from being addicted in gambling because I can fully control myself and I do not mind if I can gamble or not.

Always remember that quotation, if there's a will, there will always be a way for it. And I have seen a lot of my friends that used to be an addicted gambler but they managed to come out of it. We do have our own preference when it comes to solving our addiction, it's a sickness and it must be cure or better do some preventive actions cos' prevention is better than cure.
As a gambler we are the one who make the decision when to get in and get out, if we have a problem and we get addicted I think we should quite on ourselves because there is always a solution whatever problem it is. You need to accept that you made mistakes and move on, if you can correct then it's good to say but if no chance after every effort you have to forget gambling at all.

We may have the decision when to get out or get in but once you are in, the problem is that you can't get out of it easily. There are major problems that gamblers who want to come out but they can't. It's either they are totally addicted in gambling, whether they win or lose they just love to play and for the recovery of losses.

Yeah. Sad thing is that there are people who can't be under "theres a will therea a way" saying. Some people may think they have the will to stop but their mind and bodies would do otherwise. These cases are severe addiction most of the time requires help from several people. Professional help alongside support from family and friends are the best help that these people can get.

It's hard to depend with that quotation about "if there's a will, there's a way". Many gamblers have the will to resist gambling and it's completely addiction. Good thing that I can handle myself but too bad for those addicted gamblers they will have the hardest battle of getting out with it, I'm not saying they can't but it's going to be hard.
15828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: June 13, 2017, 09:02:21 PM
Bitcoin is working hard and becoming the future of money IMO, the fact BTC remained and got this kind of attention is an additional proof to that and the technology of blockchain had already been recognized as a great leading financial service system.

It attracts more investors and adopters to come in and with a lot of goods news spread this makes bitcoin as the future of money. It may not be directly the future money or the main currency in the future but this will live for a lot of years and people will rely on this very good crypto currency that offers a lot of ways of earning.
15829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince people into you using Bitcoin? on: June 13, 2017, 08:44:41 PM
Over time many people want to know what bitcoin is and I just explained that this is a very good project that can increase revenue but everything goes back to them and how they want to learn about bitcoin.

I did this but it's not enough because of the plain explanation about bitcoin. What I'm doing is after explaining them the brief summary and description that I know with bitcoin. I'm telling them to do their homework and their own research and be resourceful as internet is reachable wherever they are in the city.
15830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is 1000 btc Possible on: June 13, 2017, 08:32:33 PM
Very defficult to reach 100 to 1000 btc.becasue you will not win all the game.one you can  lose and one can you win.but its posible, not imposible.

That's with the price of bitcoin now, the difficulty is very high. But if the value of bitcoin is still $1-$20 maybe we can earn 10-100 bitcoins easily. And earning 1,000 bitcoin is just a dream for me or maybe I will sum all of my transactions including the fees for 20 years and possibly that I have that total amount then.
15831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Retirement on: June 13, 2017, 08:16:16 PM
Do you think 1 Bitcoin can be good for retirement...let's say 20 years from now?

After 20 years maybe bitcoin is already $50,000 from that time or even bigger. I guess it's already enough to save one bitcoin for your future keep and retirement. But if you can add some more just keep on adding that will be the best thing to do. Because you will do nothing but will just let it keep at your cold storage.
15832  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN HALVING? on: June 13, 2017, 08:05:19 PM
Do someone here know about bitcoin halving?

Most of the old bitcoin users here know about bitcoin halving. And last year many witnessed it here.

Is there a problem when bitcoin halving hits?

Yes, there's a problem but mostly it is only for the miners.

Is it better to buy bitcoin when bitcoin halving come?

It is better to buy bitcoin before it happens and don't wait before the halving comes. But last year what happened the price didn't increase rapidly.
15833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade at multiple exchanges? on: June 13, 2017, 07:35:11 PM
Yes I do trades to many exchanges but right now maximum to five only. For the reasons that Poloniex coins are limited, sometimes Bittrex also do not have those coins and sometimes other exchanges have better volume.

That's a lot and I can even only manage to trade at 2 places. I don't have enough time to check and monitor differences when it comes to the pricing to do such strategy from multiple exchanges but if I will have enough time, I think I'll do it just like what others are saying, it's profitable but you need to have a load of effort.
15834  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: June 13, 2017, 11:46:07 AM
Bitcoin has surely reduced unemployment in poor and third world countries where people really struggle to find a normal job and bitcoin has helped them to earn good money which can exceed then their income from full time job.

It's true that bitcoin helped reduce unemployment and I'm one of those people that helped by bitcoin when I don't have my daily job. I used to earn good amount with trading. But right now that I do have my office job but still it is a good help for me as it is giving me a good part time job that is helping me in many ways.
15835  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: June 13, 2017, 11:31:34 AM
Definately holding bitcoin for long term is the good way to earn or make your money. And you can try also holding eth for make money like btc

It is good to hold for longer term but as you are holding and if you are seeing the price of bitcoin starts to decrease that will make you disappoint. And if you have a weak heart you will even try to sell some of it but still the most patient ones are those going to get a good benefit from holding their bitcoin for a long time frame.
yes I will also prefer bitcoin for a long time. in fact long term investment is more safer thant short term investment. in short term investment some time we trape by panic selling and start selling our bitcoin even on lost. but in long term investment we do not care for a little downfall. but remain confident and hold bitcoin without any panit which really pretect us from great lost.

We can't stop and avoid the chance when people will start to make a noise that will lead to panic selling. And it's up to you if you will do the same thing but yes holding bitcoin will always be the best move for now because if you understand the movement of bitcoin, you will be confident that you are holding for better.
15836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: June 13, 2017, 11:16:02 AM
Bitcoin has proven to be sound as gold/fiat currencies if not more sound. It is faster to move arround, it is backing more than 600 other cryptocurrencies, Its value has increase over the years at an exponential rate and only downside with Bitcoin is that it is deflatory

Well many are treating it already as a digital gold and we can't deny that it is a digital money. So the sound of money in bitcoin is reliable and it's a fact. And as a crpyto currency bitcoin can be use for purchasing different things online that makes it a legitimate money. Another plus factor of it is it's a good investment.
15837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: June 13, 2017, 10:32:23 AM
If you do not like trading and your money is secured money (you dont really need it),
you can consider this one:

invest your money in cryptocurrency,.... buy something and let it sleep there waiting the long term rising (3-5 years).

It's still considered as trading but you will just do it on a long term basis. But I know this is a better way of trading because you don't have to think about everyday trade and you don't have to monitor it. Just set on how long you are going to wait before you are going to sell it.

Yes long term is better especially for those who have a day job and don't have enough time to check or monitor the market. Day trading takes a lot of time and hard work and lets all admit that not everyone here is good in technical and fundamental analysis so it is better to do long term trade just make sure you invested in the right coin.

Just like me I do have my day job and I quite day trading and I just chose to hold bitcoin for a long term. Since my focus is not on daily trading, that's a good thing for holding it with a long time. So for those frustrated traders that wants to quit trading already, I would say that think again before quitting.
15838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: June 13, 2017, 10:07:19 AM
While I always keep my bitcoin on local bitcoin, because I think local bitcoin has good security and until now I have never encountered any problems with bitcoin that I store in the localbitcoin.

What do you mean by local bitcoin? Do you refer to the localbitcoin platform? Well it's a trusted place to do trades but I don't want to store my bitcoins there'. I mostly keep my bitcoin now on an online wallet which is locally based and recognize by our government and registered so there's no worries at all.
15839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: June 13, 2017, 09:54:08 AM
I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.

Just because Ethereum's price is rising and there are a lot of smart contracts awaits? Not all the time crypto currencies are on hype and will always be at the ceiling. Don't forget that there are a lot of spikes and problems bitcoin passed before and it became strong up til' now. I will stand that bitcoin will always be the number one, people will still choose decentralization.
