For small scale I agree but not large or national in scope, this is because the user is still small and not bitcoin dominates the internet payment system, need more time to proof bitcoin can reduce unemployment.

Even if Bitcoin users are small and it is able to reduce unemployment amongst a small number of them we can say it has served a purpose and so it shouldn't necessarily be on the larger scale before we can conclude that it has reduced unemployment.

For now, Bitcoin is a choice. If you want to take it seriously, I'm sure you will pursue it as your primary source of income. But opposing to what you have said, I think that we have different skills. An individual would like to have a work that suites her skills and knowledge.
Or maybe they will choose bitcoin as another source of income only.
Employment will not be affected in my opinion unless Government itself removes every employee and let Bitcoin do the rest. Right ? Who will teach? Who will build? Who will cure ?
So necessarily Government will need employees and people will still need jobs or take the opportunity.

What is the relationship between employment and bitcoin? Employment is the offcai mean of having a job, not freelance things.

Bitcoin is really helping those unemployed because this gives a source of income to anyone who used bitcoin. Added value to those staying at home that offer also an income. This may reduce unemployment though even those who worked can use bitcoin that may support financial needs.

Bitcoins aide temporarily some unemployed person but don't be so hook to it and be dependable since we doesn't know on when bitcoin could last so we should need to find decent job so that it can cather our need if bitcoins will fall or maybe try to build a little business where it can be your 2nd option so that we have another choices if things go bad in bitcoins.

those people who have some decent job and are ear=fning good amount of money from their job, in most of the backward countries people do not have proper job, their government cannot provide then proper job and therefor they even cannot fulfill their basic needs, so for such people bitcoin is really providing good opportunities to make so money through different ways. therefore to me we can say that bitcoin is really helping to control unemployment.

It's true that bitcoin helped reduce unemployment and I'm one of those people that helped by bitcoin when I don't have my daily job. I used to earn good amount with trading. But right now that I do have my office job but still it is a good help for me as it is giving me a good part time job that is helping me in many ways.

Bitcoin reduces unemployment yes based on the bitcoin's value right many of the people know about bitcoin and after they know it they curious about it then study about bitcoin after they study it they will work to earn bitcoins in that way the unemployment reduces.

Technically speaking,  they are still unemployed because it is in the social status. Unemployed means not engaged in gainful occupation.
Yes it is somehow reduces the unemployed by creating a source of income. Surviving in everyday life. Have an extra income.
Maybe that's life is all about. Surviving. Hardwork and knowledge are the keys to have this.
Sometimes its okay to do freelancing. Even though your unemployed but they pay you decently. That's okay.
No boss. No traffic. No pressure.

As it is the initial stage of Bitcoin that is why you are seeing like that but when you would see that in the future Bitcoin with become a more famous than more and more people will get their jobs there by using Bitcoin. As it is sure that Bitcoin is a better currency for online business and now we can see that each and every business is trying to become a digital business and so each and every person will also go to internet to find his job so in the future we are sure that bitcoin will reduce unemployed in all over the world.

I agree with you, even if it is a small group of people benefiting from bitcoin..the fact remains that it does reduce unemployment levels and it does not only benefit the unemployed as the working class do get passive income from bitcoin as well.

Well if you talk about unemployment, you talk about people who doesn't have a regular job and are not paying taxes. Btc won't be able to reduce this though it certainly can make people earn money. You can be unemployed yet earning a lot though btc through several ways.

I think in the presence of bitcoin will reduce unemployment, because searching for bitcoin also requires hard work and creativity, and competitiveness in bitcoin is also high almost similar to work in the real world

What is your opinion this time?
Exactly bitcoin reduces unemployed people because bitcoin is a job that easy to understand and learn even you are only a highschool graduate. Bitcoin don't need your way of saying the important is you know how to read and know how to english even you're not really fluent on it because if you put bitcoin as a job, you skills is doesn't needed on it but if you're a Information Technology in this kind of work your skill is match onto it so for me bitcoin is best way to help unemployed people to make them up and also the economy.

That's true. Many people who don't have a job yet, earn money with bitcoin instead.
Even, in this rate, where bitcoin price is high, many people leave their day job to focus on bitcoin.
I don't know whether earning money with bitcoin is really a 'job' and reduces unemployment but at least, more people can make money with bitcoin, when they haven't got a job yet.

This is no more than your assumption

It is you who is talking that, not someone else whom you explicitly refer to. For a person to be officially considered unemployed, he should not have a regular job and at the same time he should be actively searching for a new job. If he is not, then he is not considered as unemployed, as simple as it gets. Further, you may be employed and still not pay any taxes (for a host of reasons), so this is not a criterion either. If we talk unofficially here, then as long as you get paid for some job done, you are no longer unemployed, basically because you are busy (employed) doing something for which you receive remuneration

I disagree that only mining and trading should be mentioned in that regard. Jobs you've mentioned, although they existed before Bitcoin was introduced, became accessible to many people because of Bitcoin. It was almost impossible to get paid $30 for a small job you do for someone living in the other part of the world before people start using BTC.

That is the whole damn point I'm trying to make and you people have no real interest in understanding.

I need a new logo for my website for example.
And two years ago I could pay only via paypal. Now I can pay via btc and I give the job to the guy you mentioned.

Is this job creation?No.
Because be it bitcoin or paypal I would have still employed somebody to do it.
90% of the jobs you mention are jobs that have shifted from other people. Not jobs created out of nothing.

You're getting paid btc while selling phones. Is that jobs creation? For you.
But overall people stop buying from one place and buy from your store. It's a zero sum game.

That's an interesting point. So if I'm sitting without job, say in Philippines, can do something for someone in the USA only because they can pay me in BTC, Bitcoin is not creating the job because, using your logic, someone else could do it in the USA and for fiat?

I understand what you are trying to say, but I disagree with you. And I will try to clarify what I said before: many jobs became accessible to many people around the world because of Bitcoin. And that's what's called job creation.

I would like to add a little to this view (which I generally support)

It is not so much because of Bitcoin itself but the community of people that Bitcoin allowed to create or build. After all, before Bitcoin you could still pay people using PayPal (as has already been mentioned). But did PayPal manage to create something like what we see with Bitcoin? Obviously, not. Basically, Bitcoin has brought people together and very different people at that, with different interests, skills and knowledge. And since Bitcoin is still a payment system and money in its own right, it is no surprise that it created its own small economy with folks looking to hire and folks looking to be hired. Something which PayPal couldn't and wouldn't do. I think it pretty well sums it up
