15921  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: April 13, 2018, 03:03:25 PM
The donation address for this forum currently has 278.1176665 BTC.

I have 0.08 BTC, but at least I have 0.08 BTC, some people have none.

Mindboggling figures if they are correct  Shocked

Seems like Bitcoin Cash is good fork, but it was laucnhed in a rush, not correctly planned, therefore it has nothing that can benefit anybody

I agree and feel if there was a proper plan it would have been better but in the end it has done nothing for the community
15923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 12, 2018, 11:21:10 PM
I'll be very surprised if any whale actually dumped their bitcoins, it is very likely that they just used bitcoin cash as a maneuver to get even more cash, the maneuver is so obvious that their purpose and their goal was in fact part of the name of their project, to make more cash, fortunately for them they were able to fulfill their wishes but unfortunately for us that probably came to the expense of many investors.

Got to agree with you. Money for nothing for the whales. Greed written all over it.
15924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 12, 2018, 07:50:17 PM
I see Bitcoin Cash just as a simple money grab. Its gonna die off sooner or later. Thats just my opinion tho.

That view is shared by many though it kight not die it might just become as useful or as useless as say Dogecoin.
15925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 12, 2018, 06:56:47 PM
Bitcoin cash was created by miners to blackmail developers. So far, many asics sellers accept bitcoin in cash but do not accept bitcoin for payment. But this forced the developers to abandon the introduction of segwit2x. Part of the blame for the current prices lies with these contradictions. That's the reason I never look at the bch.

An interesting perspective. Good to read so many different views on this subject by far most are not holding a high opinion of Bitcoin Cash.
15926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WAVES vs ETHEREUM on: April 12, 2018, 04:42:24 PM
I would prefer the Etherium, because in the meantime - this is the best platform for working and implementing transactions. The speed is good, it works stably.

Thank you for mentioning speed and stability as reasons to choose ETH over WAVES. I hope others can wade in to this and give their opinons too.
15927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WAVES vs ETHEREUM on: April 12, 2018, 04:21:02 PM
In term of investment it is really hard to tell but I will go with Ethereum specially with POS is close and  right at the corner .

Now about the question why Ethereum have more than 90% of ICO ?

I used Waves and Ethereum and for some reason I found out that Ethereum is more UI friendly and more appealing maybe that is why most project use Ethereum because it is not about project and what they  think is better platform it is about which will bring more investor to them , And the answer is so clear Ethereum . I saw couple of projects build on waves and they just changed to Ethereum after couple of of weeks from there ICo running , For me when I see waves on the Ann thread title I just pass this project , And I dunno why I am just not feel comfortable  using waves platform it feels laggy .

Thank you for your input. The difference in UI certainly is something mentioned by several people. I have to say WAVES did not seem to lag at all when I used it and the UI is fairly modern, user friendly and seems better to use than say myetherwallet. If the functionality or aim of a user is to create a token then ETH wins by sheer numbers but I still have not been to understand why so few people use WAVES.
15928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 12, 2018, 03:47:39 PM
Ofcourse its to please roger ver, because hes the Jesus of bitcoin cash lol..but seriously i dont see any comparison about this two coins, because for me if theres one coin to compare about the price of bitcoin, its ethereum and nothing more

Other posts stated several names alongside Ver who were also said to be whales or owners of various exchanges who wanted to line their own pockets. It seems their attempt to take over the Bitcoin community has failed and their market capital currently at $11 billion is only there because it was forked from Bitcoin.

Yes it seems Ethereum might be second only to Bitcoin but at least they are two different operating styles and offer thing things to investors.
15929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 12, 2018, 02:45:33 PM
Bitcoin Cash was really pointless from start, it created to spread FUD, when spamming the original blockchain network
Bitcoin helps the whole world in transaction within seconds. Later on it brought BTM that is the easiest way of connecting global market and people to transact amount without any difficulties. It is totally frictionless; it was designed to make the global of Bitcoin frictionless.

With blockchain technology it brought more technologies features that help people achieving Bitcoin easier and buy Bitcoin from an authentic source. All these technologies helped in making Bitcoin more popular and the future technologies will also add more to the popularity and advantages of Bitcoin.

Thank you. Keeping your post in mind, why exactly do you think Bitcoin Cash was created then?
15930  Economy / Services / Re: DEV REQUIRED: Relaunching a Dying Coin on: April 12, 2018, 12:25:46 PM
Just an update, no decision has been made about which developer will be selected.

If you think you can do it and have a track record and will not take money from us only to then work on multiple projects for other clients thus not being available to us when we need you then please do not send PMs or post here.

We are still inviting people to put themselves forward. Thank you Smiley
15931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WAVES vs ETHEREUM on: April 12, 2018, 12:18:34 PM
It is tough to specifically tell which one is good. I think both are good but if you consider the current situtation then you will find that wave has more possibility to grow in future.

Thank you. Please explain why you think WAVES has more potential to grow in future.

If that same opinion was shared by many others then token creation (with or without ICOs) using WAVES would be significantly higher
15932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 12, 2018, 12:15:47 PM

I agree. To look beyond that and try searching for anything else is very hard to accept. It seems it was pointless because it brought nothing new or innovative to the community but it was pushed through to make the whales money
15933  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: April 12, 2018, 12:13:17 PM
With Bitcoin price so high there is no need for anyone to donate now. For those that do, they are paying so much

5. Bitcoin Cash's official website states that the new digital currency fulfills the original promise of bitcoin as peer-to-peer electronic cash. The users are empowered with low fees and reliable confirmations.

Having read that very informative post from you I firstly thank you but having paid extra attention to point #5 raised above I noted it could have stated:

5. Bitcoin Cash's official website states that the new digital currency fulfills the original promise of bitcoin as peer-to-peer electronic cash. The users are empowered with low fees and reliable confirmations and as proof that all developers and teams and whales behind this fork (which by far the majority of the Bitcoin community did not want) are so sure they are on the right path and Bitcoin is on the wrong path a decision has been made that on the first of the fork going live ALL developers and teams and whales behind this fork will sell their Bitcoin and invest in Bitcoin Cash. They will also never invest in Bitcoin because they do not believe in it and will only deal with Bitcoin Cash. This fork has not been created for the sake of billions of dollars that whales will receive by having non-mined free Bitcoin Cash as a result of the fork. This fork was created to save Bitcoin and find a new path because we are honest kind people who did all this for the sake of the community but as a side-effect of the fork the whales who pushed for the fork will get even more rich

15935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 11, 2018, 02:49:00 PM
So far it seems most people posting here go with the idea that Bitcoin Cash was created by whales to make money because of their greed and hope to destroy Bitcoin and not to provide a great facility to the community.
15936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WAVES vs ETHEREUM on: April 11, 2018, 02:43:58 PM

for now i prefer ethereum rather than waves. the problem is, ethereum is more famous and used a lot of ico as a temporary wallet.
well if waves have a smart contract like ethereum. the possibility of waves can quickly compete with ethereum.

The Ethereum being famous part is not going to affect the ICO structure. There has to be a reason why more people choose ETH or WAVES
15937  Economy / Services / Re: DEV REQUIRED: Relaunching a Dying Coin on: April 11, 2018, 02:42:25 PM
Any other questions please post here. Still looking forward to hearing from potential devs even though we have someone in mind but no final decision has been made.

Thank you
15938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: April 11, 2018, 11:08:18 AM
it's hard, too, actually I prefer bitcoin cash because its block capacity is bigger so it makes transaction cost cheaper, actually this is what i want from bitcoin cheaper and faster transaction, if it can be cheaper and faster from system currently used by a conventional bank. but bitcoin is the mother of any cryptocurency, I hope there is a deal to enlarge the current block, maybe most miners will object, but I think that is what needs to be done to return bitcoin as a quick, easy and safe financial transaction tool

If Bitcoin Cash was created to make transactions cheaper then why did the whales not work with the whole community to create a fork to modify it and keep a single coin? Why use idealogical differences as an excuse to disrupt the community by creating a competing challenging coin?
15939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin First Billionaire: Winklevoss Twins on: April 11, 2018, 10:53:20 AM
I think there are a lot more bitcoin billionaires out there but they are just not making their wealth and the money they made public because they want to keep the public eye off of themselves.

That is probably very true. Some people have made their wealth known or overplayed their wealth for self-promotion advertising purposes and others have tried their best to just stay under the radar and enjoy their wealth without having the need to use a loudspeaker to shout from the rooftops about how many Bitcoins they have.

After going through the horrible experience of the whole Facebook situation I am so glad the Winklevoss twins invested the very same money the Courts forced Facebook to pay them. They invested around $11 million dollars buying Bitcoin for around $100 each. They ended up with around 110,000 Bitcoin directly as a result of the money received from Facebook and now look where we are. Zuckerbergs personal weealth and Facebooks market capital has fallen as a result of various issues surrounding user data being misued and legal implications leading on to billions in fines in multiple vicinites. The US will do what they have to do to punish and reign in Facebook (for a while at least), the same will apply to the European Union.

While Zuckerberg and Facebook take a financial beating and have their reputation in tatters and face international lawsuits, the Winklevoss twins have kept a low profile and not seeked out any publicity. The Winklevoss twins have kept a diginified silence throughout and thoroughly deserve their wealth. I cannot recall them ever trying to influence the path of Bitcoin and force through forks like other whales have done. They seem like really nice people.

The irony is that within a couple of years if that, their Bitcoin holding alone with be worth more than Zuckerbergs Facebook stock and they managed to get there thanks to the penatly the Courts forced Facebook to pay the Winklevoss twins. Great karma Smiley

PM me the details. I can help you.

Here is my thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=466908.0

Now that is a very impressive thread dating back to 2014. I browsed some of the pages. You seem to have form, track record and feedback.

I think I may have found the dev for our job. Still am negotiating and conversing with others and now decision will be made until a couple of weeks but you seem to have ALL the skills.

Please look out for the PM I will send later today or tomorrow. Thank you Smiley
