but cash is still king if you want to make a quick purchase for a soda or some candy or something.
You obviously have never been in Arnhem (The Netherlands), Bitcoin Capital of the World Wink

You'd be surprised how easy it is to do a quick purchase with Bitcoin here, with 60+ local merchants (including supermarket and various food shops) accepting Bitcoin.

Irrelevant. Still not quicker than handing over the exact money in fiat. There's also not that much you can buy there nor would I be able to buy much at all with it in Amsterdam so a few niche shops that accept it in a small area isn't that great.

Much to my amazement about that country, still it isn't that efficient to use bitcoins solely to purchase what you want if ever you were in The Netherlands. Not all the merchants and stores in that country accept bitcoin, so fiat still remain king in the current times when it comes to purchasing goods and services (over the counter purchases, that is.)

Thanks for your response fabiola, much appreciated. After 2 years of dating, I just found out last night I had been cheated on by my now ex girlfriend.

<redacted>

...

From the simple making out when drunk to the full out woman on woman sexual experience, lot of women I have dated all have at some point that history.

...

Curious to hear your thoughts. In real life I swear I'm not creepy or anything like this, as a young 20 year old I just really have wondered this and obviously asking this to my female friends could come across as weird so figured I'd ask you, here on this anonymous forum.

Don't take what I'm saying above too seriously at all, I just got back from going to the bars with friends, am a lil drunk and felt like having some fun on this forum before passing out.

What you have there is an extremely rare woman. Don't ever lose that one. Hell the relationship I just got out of, I was lucky to get sex 2-3 times a week after dating for a year, in the beginning it was 2-4 times daily which is what i had hoped it would remain (or at least once a day). And I know as you get older, generally women want it less and less and use the "I'm tired" excuse more.

What country are you from / living in ? I live in the United States. I take offense to you what you said ma'am about hitting on whoever I see, I've been in a faithful relationship for 2 years and then got cheated on, tonight was honestly the first time I went out to a bar as a single man and I was just trying to have a good time.  Tongue Anyways, when I think of a girl having an ass, I don't like it as big as nicky or the kardashians that TOO MUCH ass. If you have TOO MUCH ass, how can you get most of your dick in the girl when you gotta get past all that ass? I'd rather have a girl with a nice ass I can smack but also massage when trying to make love, but still be able to get all of me in there for the girl's benefit. Getting a huge fake ass is just hurting the girl's chance of orgasming since all that ass can get in the way sometimes.

If I can squeeze your ass and it don't look flat as a pancake, then you have my approval. Personally, I'm a breast guy, this is awful to say but I can't even consider hooking up with someone who is an A cup, I see them as somewhat manly for lacking such, IDK why.

(I'm a really kinky guy so thats one thing I hated in my 2 year relationship, she wouldn't do any roleplaying or fun stuff I was used to before I met her, although she was really hot).

/end talk (I talk too much I know)

Recall, he's 20, and relating events when he was 18 and still in high school - Roll Play High.

I'm a lanky, newly single guy. Before I never thought I'd need to look nice but with me just having turned 21 and now single I'm trying to bulk up. And quick.

What methods do you guys recommend? I'm working out daily and taking 2 scoops of weight gainer daily, 2 scoops of whey after workouts, and a shake of casein protein before bed. Each scoop has roughly 25 grams of protein.

Anything else to help? I'm 21 and weight 135 lbs sadly...I'm a guy. I had ADHD as a kid and the meds killed my appetite which is why I'm so skinny now as an adult.

one who is also as sexy as this

Hopefully Im stating the obvious when I say sexy is not about just looks.  That gal is from russia apparently anyhow so could be not the easiest relationship lol
Not gonna lie, I make enough I could support two people easily, I could buy us vacations and nice things so f*** it if she turns out to be an idiot and I say this nicely, I'd marry that girl above in a heartbeat. I make $200k yearly n I'm 20 so yeah. If you ain't as pretty as her tho then 50/50 personality n looks I want Smiley

Approximately $395,000 at a price of $220 for BTC.

Luckily I bought into LTC at $0.02 for 20,000 of them years back when first introduced on BTC-e and sold them for ~$24.00 each roughly.

I sold 0.32xx BTC and then 0.185 BTC for roughly a total of $145 and I still don't have my money.

It says on Coinbase I would have the funds in my account on Wednesday January 14th, YESTERDAY.

Where is my money? If they dare cancel my sale I will be filing a claim with the BBB. Really pissed right now.

I know me personally, I haven't held bitcoin overnight in months and don't plan to anytime soon.

Looking for cash for my BTC. If interested let me know, if EXTREMELY trustworthy I'll send first. I run a business and will have payments every so often in BTC so it would be nice to find someone able to do this reliably.

Escrow is more then fine (actually preferred honestly).

Message me if interested.

Made a half million dollars trading LiteCoin, then tries to move .953 BTC via means above oppose to using formidable channels.

I say this dude wants to be in the runnin' for The Fodor Award: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990219.0

Cloudbet why do you lie to us? Do you think we're stupid?

So long. I skipped a few quotes to read. Cheesy Great story line up by op. Didn't know he was such a great storyteller. Really deserves an award. Good find. Hahahaha.
15943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I keep MYSELF from spending my BTC in the next 5 years? on: April 01, 2015, 09:07:42 AM
Best thing that you can do is to print a paper wallet and store those coins into that. Put it in a safety deposit box of some sort that you do not have the control and you'll be fine. Also, if you don't want others to store it for you, just develop self-discipline, as it will get you more positive results for you and your money.
15944  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 31, 2015, 07:02:56 PM
If you want to win big you got to gamble big...so my money is on investing but sensible investing. But if are happy with where you are then you can use SAFE DEPOSIT BOX I guess...

Gambling can give you insane amount of returns but also gives you an insane amount of risks involved. If you are brave enough to face those risks and believe that you can beat the house or other players then do it. It's your money after all.

Statistically you lose with gambling, but you can always beat that odd... I would only gamble if I was legit rich, like Dan Bilzerian and Floyd Mayweather, these guys gamble for fun and can deal with the loses, and sometimes make huge wins.

But unfortunately, most people don't have the money and are not considered as "legit rich." You can beat the odds, true, but over time, the house always wins. If you look into gambling as a serious moneymaker, well, be prepared to get wrecked every time you enter a session of gambling. It is always better to invest into something that gains value over time (like real estate, hectares of lands, jewelry, etc.) than to invest in gambling.
15945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you fools pathetic - or what? on: March 31, 2015, 06:59:48 PM
C'mon guys - this is just crazy.  The poor guy went to JAIL yesterday.  He has done so much for the community.  His crime was TINY!

This is all we managed to scrape up for him?  (.6 BTC)  What!?
https://blockchain.info/address/1NEgShr962NMHXet3WTVzwuW2189JRrP93

C'mon you cheap bastards, give the guy a few bucks.

I challenge you, no, I demand you pick up your damn android and kick down a few bucks.  Just to make his first day feel a little better like someone actually cares.  I am sleeping in nice sheets tonight - he is sleeping with four roommates on canvas.  To answer this challenge, please send .111 bitcoin to 1NEgShr962NMHXet3WTVzwuW2189JRrP93 so we can see who agrees.

Charlie Shrem is one of the figures in the world of bitcoin that really did something for the community. He openly admitted to the crime--which was dealing with drug dealers in Silk Road-- and wholeheartedly accepted the consequences of his actions. Upon reading his blog and the CoinDesk article about him, my respect towards his personality increased by this line:

Quote
While inside, I’d love emails, letters, books, and magazines! Everything helps

And this one:

I did the crime and I will do the time. They say those who stand by you in the bad times, deserve to be with you in the good times. Good times are coming and I look forward to it. I also want to thank those select few in the SDNY District Court and NYSPT for treating me with dignity and respect.
15946  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're falling as of the auction? on: March 31, 2015, 06:38:33 PM
If the auctioned coins were dumped, we should be at lower levels than $245 now. According to CoinDesk, 3 parties won. I think the party who won 3000btc is the lowest of the winning bids and they are the only on ones most likely to be dumping. I think auction winners can make more profit by selling coins privately in bulk than dumping on exchanges.

Quote
The winnings were divided among the unnamed individuals, with the leading bidder claiming 27,000 BTC ($7.9m at press time). The remainder of the bitcoin was split among two individuals who took winnings of 20,000 BTC ($5.9m) and 3,000 BTC ($885,801), respectively.
http://www.coindesk.com/three-unnamed-bidders-win-latest-us-marshals-bitcoin-auction/

From about $300 to $237 in a matter of a few days is a pretty big drop. They would make a substantial profit if they sold it privately, but with the current prices, who would buy from private sellers? I'm sure their rate would be noticeably higher.

that 300 was a simply mini pump, not a correction in price or anything else, and i'm not surprised that the price returned to 230, which is the real floor, and i don't think they sold a large portion of those coins inside the market, otherwise the crash would have been bigger

300-230 was pure manipulation

hard to think 230 is the floor.  no good news incoming, and it seems like the potential for bad news, ie exchanges losing/stealing money & going under, scam sites stealing money, governments cracking down on btc use is creating a lot of downward pressure.

Indeed. Downward pressure might even hit us hard in terms of prices. Weak hands and scared investors might also consider selling at a loss, thinking ahead that they may end up losing most of their investments. 230 might not be the floor that we're seeing right now, but still doing pretty good. Another opportunity to buy. And also, buying from a private seller isn't a good idea, seeing that the market price is comparably lower than the  prices of what a private seller might ask. Such a manipulative market bitcoin has.
15947  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: March 31, 2015, 06:29:44 PM
Plnt trees, buy lands, invest in something that will give small but sure gain. Don't need to take it high in the skyscraper. I am an optimist so I like to gamble big, but saving sensible or investing sensible is the right way to go.
To do all of these you first need to make some money... it all starts with having a job or some sort of monthly income where you can save a % of it monthly. If you are only paying bills you are another poor soul trapped in the system with no hope.

The sad reality is that there are plenty of poor souls all over the world that works only to pay bills and sometimes need to make a loan in order to survive. Majority of the people in the world are still enslaved by debt, and we can say that it is because of their limited control over their own money. Regulations here, authorities there, banks and financial institutions that will strangle you to death with those taxes and fees that aren't really necessary. Bitcoin stood and set forth another chance for those poor souls to at least experience a life that is comfortable and favorable, but that is until bitcoin reach the masses and see worldwide adoption.
15948  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins lack of interest, lack of traction on: March 31, 2015, 05:50:14 PM
i've already said in another thread that the interest is everything , no matter what you do (destroying bitcoin thus decreasing number of coins in circulation, won't rise the price if there is no interest ecc...)

without it no new money influx is possible as newbie are not buying any btc, and having only the whale playing with the market(aka manipulation) is even worse

this lack of interest is caused by the "$1200-$230" scenario, we need a pump now to retrieve faith in bitcoin

Seriously? You believe that the only reason why there is a massive influx of new users is because of the bubble that happened last Nov. 2013? How about what happened when bitcoin costs nothing at all? Yes, we can say that a great interest in bitcoins happened when the price was on its highest, but we cannot simply say that the only thing that will retrieve the faith of the masses in bitcoin is through a pump (which isn't a good sign for most of the merchants as it will increase the rate of volatility.) The prices that we are sitting right now isn't what most of the experienced economists and individuals expected, but at least it is not a part of another bubble that might burst out again and drive the price (and the faith) downwards.

True. And also, if you are thinking about investing, having a diversified portfolio is great. It allows you to minimize the risks that you might encounter and gives you an assurance that you will not lose everything that you have once an investment of yours encounter bankruptcy or a great loss.

Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

It is better if you look for an investment that will surely gain interest over time. The most important thing about investing is that never invest in an investment that will lose value over time. Real estate--as you have stated--is a good investment imo. As the places to live in this world goes crowded as time goes by, the value of living in these spaces will surely grow too.

Now that you've adopted bitcoins, discovered its interesting uses, could you imagine a stable world without Bitcoin?

Certainly yes I can. The world is much better with BTC, but I could imagine life without it.
What would happen to this forum, would anyone still know to come here?

Uhhm, since there is no bitcoin, then there would obviously be no bitcointalk. We wouldn't talk about bitcoin if there is no bitcoin in the first place, right?  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy
15953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could you imagine your life without Bitcoin poll on: March 31, 2015, 04:19:53 PM
Easy: we will be enslaved by the current financial institutions and banks. We are still constricted with the chains of using fiat money and being controlled by a central authority and their so-called "regulations." At least when we first have bitcoin, we experienced the liberty of spending and buying anonymously and with almost no hassles at all. We also experienced the fast and reliable transfer of value all over the world with only a click. Innovations and changes were made since bitcoin arrived, and some of the hardcore bitcoiners can't live without it, but in reality, still a major part of the global population are still used to being enslaved by the banks and the authorities.
15954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody in the 1000 Bitcoins club here? on: March 31, 2015, 04:10:48 PM
Let me classify those who are having more than 1K coins:

1. Satoshi
2. A small fraction of the early adopters, who refrained from cashing out their coins in 2012 and 2013.
3. Owners of Bitcoin-based business ventures, such as exchanges and gambling sites.
4. A very small number of institutional investors, such as the Winkelwii.
5. Thieves and hackers, such as Mark Karpeles and Thomas Jiřikovský.

1. Very likely. He/she was the creator of Bitcoin after all.
2. Probable. Those who believed that the ath in November 2013 was nothing compared to what's in store for btc in the coming years.
3. Of course. Gambling sites rake in large amounts of btc due to their so-called "house edge." The house always wins after all.
4. Those who believe in the potential of bitcoin may be heavily invested, leaving us the conclusion that they could possibly hold thousands of BTC.
5. Errm, idk. If you are a part of the Mt. Gox incident, you might as well have some thousands of BTC situated in different addresses.

Wow. Never knew a country where merchants accept bitcoin as it is. If only I have BTCBTC to spend, I would definitely include the Netherlands on my list of places that I want to visit. Smiley

Question, do you think I could survive a week in there with only BTCBTC on hand and never do a even a single transaction with fiat?
15956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you prefer bitcoin, FIAT money or other? on: March 31, 2015, 12:34:01 PM
Though I really like bitcoins to succeed, still we can't deny the fact that we are still bound to the burdens of fiat money. However, we, as the "early adopters" of this innovative technology laid before us, were the ones who will drive bitcoin to its highest point: mainstream adoption.
15957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody in the 1000 Bitcoins club here? on: March 31, 2015, 10:41:03 AM
Yes of course there are! I guess i know some of them! Here:
1) Dooglus (5000+ in my opinion
2) Stunna ( 5000+ in my opinion)
3) keepinquiet (1000+ in my opinion)

My estimation:

Dooglus: 7k+
Stunna: 20k+   he owns the biggest dice site, and over 4 billion bets, almost 4 million btc wager. 1% of the house edge, it means he at least has earned over 40k+ BTC.

Addi: 10k+ owns a casino, too

And many biggest casino owners, at least 5K+ btc.

I honestly don't know where do you guys get these figures. It is true that they own the most popular gambling sites and services but it doesn't make sense to put in there what they really hold. Intelligent guesstimate, I assume. Huh
15958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody in the 1000 Bitcoins club here? on: March 31, 2015, 09:13:09 AM
No one would ever share this information to others, as they might be targeted by hackers knowing that they possess x amount of btc. The most probable owners of 1000 btcs are those who mined when the difficulty was still low.
15959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Permabull Party Thread on: March 30, 2015, 05:03:45 PM
I'm accumulating at these prices, fantastic bargain right now for long term holding.

edit: Although keeping a bit of dry powder for possibility of further price drops in near term

Good on you. I bought a couple of coins last February at around $230 and my coins are still doing good. Sold a couple of bits when the price reached $297 a couple of weeks ago and I'm here waiting again for a possible low. When it reached my favored price, I might as well buy another set of coins for long-term holding.

The idea is amazing, tbh. But the elements of a card game are rather unrelated to what the message wants to convey. Idk if this is an advertisement to a new card game or something like that, but I think it is inappropriate to put this in this board.  Sad
