Asics are harder to get but easier to maintain and vice versa for GPU mining rigs.
It might be really difficult to get your hands on an ASIC but once it's setup, you're hassle free.
You can get GPU's and all parts your need instantly over internet and build your rig in 2 weeks, but all the configurations and different settings are definitely far more difficult to handle than the settings of an ASIC.

Just mod the original saved bios on your computer and flash it to your cards , you dont need to flash the bios , then save the bios , then mod the bios, then flash the modded bios... I think for rx 480 cards is not not the best option to copy the mem straps from from 2000 to 1750. in my experience if you do just the mem strap cpoy paste kind of " bios mod " you should copy 1500 to 1625 and 1750 to 2000 ,or try first just 1750 to 2000 ... and then follow my guide  Isn't that the timing for 4GB cards? Should I really try it with my 8 GB cards? Can confirm. 8 rigs have been running 3 days now, only one crash and on very low OC settings it's about 6% faster. Anyone else who has some positive results with this miner software? Did you guys keep your overlcok settings or did you need to change them in order to use them with the dstm miner? |

Anyone out there, who can help me out with my question please? Thanks in advance I've got a question about staking: If I have 2 addresses, 1 airdrop and 1 'working' address, do I need to keep an eye out for my airdrop address when I want to leave my wallet open for the purpose of staking? For example, if I should receive a staking reward, do them coins in the airdrop address get touched, like with 'regular movement' as explained in the How To Fix The Block Explorer Airdrop Wallet Balance Of Onion link? Your wallet total is staking, it doesn't matter on which address your coins are as long as all your coins are in your wallet that's staking. I have multiple addresses too but all in my main wallet an I get my staking reward from all of the coins in my wallet. |

Hi guys, I'm going to try to setup a VPS for my masternode. I'm not shure how to do it and it's not shown in the the video, anyone has a usefull link? What do I need to pay attention to when setting up the VPS erspecuially for the DP wallet?
Could I also run the masternode wallet on a miner for 24/7 instead of using a VPS?
Bit of confusion here you have  Wallet on a miner? I mean that I have a GPU rig that's running 24/7 and the masternode wallet needs to be open 24/7 right? That's why you use the VPS don't you? |

No I only copied the mem strap from 2000 to 1750 and that's it. (I'm shure I copied the right mem strap, otherwise they would not have worked)
I didn't do any other settings in the gpu bios mod.
Can I make changes in my currently modded bios or do I need to reinstall the original bios and mod that one again?
What other changes did you need to do in the bios for the blockchain drivers?

so non of your cards working now ? you are still not able to using any of your cards for mining ?
All cards (6) were working fine on Crimson 16.9.2 with modded bios for 6 months. With the mining drivers and same modded bios, only 5 cards are running at 22mh/s for ETC on Nanopool, one is not working at all. |

Flash back the original bios for all of your cards! make sure its the original ones what comes w your cards! i hope you saved all , bc all of the cards can have a different bios version number !
All your cards can have different bios version!
Rom files are not interchangeable . You can flash them to another cards , but then your hashrate will drop to lower 20's or under or just going up and down , you might can not get the cards mem push over 2050-2075 stable .
You can brick your cards easy ...

Have any recommended modding guides? Having trouble finding specific timings and info on RX 460 unlock without flashing a prepared BIOS. Better try to open a new thread. Over the last few days I keep getting gpu 0 has stopped and my small rig just goes to sleep. Is there any way to loop the miner so it starts back up also happens when it loses connection to server.
Indicates you likely are trying to overclock that card too hard, or pushing the power supply too hard - EBWF will try to restart on it's own, at least in the most recent version, but it has limits on the sort of issues it can handle. The base Aorus 1080 ti can probably get to 800 sol/sec without undervolting if you turn the TDP up to 300 watts or so (120% in Afterburner) with +100 core +100 mem clocks - I see 780 more or less at 250 watt stock TDP with those clock settings. I suspect any of the "3 slot" well-cooled 1080ti models will be in the same ballpark. I found out that you're better to go with a medium overclock instead of going to the max. I don't recommend to use 120% electricity for a longer period of time. For my 1070, I found out that 70% electricity with +150 core and +400 mem clock is way more stable and nearly as fast as a +200 core and +600 mem clock. 70% electricity gives me a return of about 3.5 sol/w and 100% td p is about 2.5 sol/w. |

I modded the Bios by myself 6 months ago when I got the cards. I followed teh typical RX480 tutorial, copypaste one string to the other place, that's it, not more. I still have all the original Bios files for each GPU but they're all 256kb, what now? |

Iv'e noticed a few new sigs doing that lately, guess DO is a trendsetter now too People can copy but deep onion's version still look's way cooler. DO #1 Haha our style is much appreciated by others how it seems. Why do something on your own when you can copy from the best? Some fresh colors and there you go. Looking forward to the updated signatures that might come soon. |
