161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 31, 2019, 03:52:36 PM
Just curious here.
I know there are tons of way to live.

but is there such a thing as professional gamblers?

people who make a living onlyout of gambling (online or on rl)?

resources and comments on that are really welcome.
there must be because they have the ability in that field. people who have the ability and techniques to gamble online and rl, it can be said professional gamblers because they already know how to win the gambling. but I'm sure not all of the income is made from gambling, there must be other businesses that he does.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: August 31, 2019, 03:24:47 PM
After playing gambling games hundreds of times, without much effort in winning substantial profits at all, it makes me wonder what could be the secret of gambling? Personally, I find myself comfortable playing crypto-based gambling games, because of their greater level of accessibility than traditional games. I believe that gambling games which use cryptocurrencies and Blockchain tech, are much fairer than traditional ones within the mainstream world. Yet, you tend to lose more money than you've initially invested into a gambling game.

Which is why, I'm deeply curious to know if there's actually a secret within gambling that would allow me to win more than losing? Any thoughts about this will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
everyone has the ability in their respective fields, provided there is an intention to learn and keep trying can certainly know how to play gambling games techniques. all need process and experience, so there's no way we can win all the time there must be a time of losing.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: August 30, 2019, 07:15:23 PM
This is the place to discuss all things connected to La Liga (Spanish League)

This is new Prediction thread for La Liga. Old one has grown quite big and OP is not active for about a year so it was decided it is time for fresh thread.
There will be a new poll up and running soon and I have created a Superbru prediction pool to make things a bit more interesting, also you now have a option to declare your undying love for the favorite club.

Favorite Club

If you would like to declare for some club, put up your favorite club with short info at the bottom of your post and I'll include it here. This way we know who we can make fun of when their favorite team looses the derby.

Working list - will pretty it up after few weeks when there is more of us:

Trofo - occasional Barcelona supporter but mainly likes to see good match with lots of goals
LTU_btc - hardcore Barca fan. Visca Catalunya! Visca Barca!
JeromeTash - Real Madrid is my team
Harkorede - I'm rooting for Barcelona
tokeweed - Real...  Just cos I like Hazard

Superbru Prediction Pool

Superbru is a great site for predicting match results. It covers all the main leagues and has became a standard for paying bitcointalk pools (you can still join Champions League one here).

Since I have started with this thread a bit late I selected 30.08. as day for the La Liga pool to start. Meaning our little tipster competition will start from Gameweek 3 which starts on 30.08.19. Two weeks should be enough time for all interested parties to see the pool and join the fun. This is a free pool and there isn't any rewards unless some sponsor comes along. If somebody would like to sponsor our pool feel free to pm me.

Details to join:

or by downloading the Superbru app and searching for the pool with code:

I think Barcelona will continue to dominate the Spanish league this year, with the arrival of Griezmann making Barcelona stronger and playing more attractive. Moreover, the front trio of Suarez Messi plus Griezmann is very deadly. Real Madrid will find it difficult to compete this season, I'm sure of that.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: August 30, 2019, 06:41:02 PM
This is the discussion thread for the Europa League. Champions League thread can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5163249

Hi guys! So the old UEFA lounge was closed. And kenzawak's closed his thread for last season too... I'm loathe to open new threads every season, what do you think? Can we have this as the perma thread or a new one every season?

Meanwhile, the preliminaries for Season 2019/20 have all started! There's a curious case of a University men's team competing in UEFA competition for the first time ever. Another fairy tale in the making perhaps? Cardiff Metropolitan. Long live the Welsh!

Here's the schedule for Europa. Next Thursday is like 30 games, too long to post!

this is just a match to win the grub phase, there is no exciting match here. awaited match when the grub phase division is over and waiting for an entertaining and interesting miracle match.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 29, 2019, 03:10:40 PM
So I've been wondering a lot time now why some people choose to play lottery which is made in such a way that it's statistically impossible to win and not any other game that gives about 49% chance to win? In online crypto-gambling there are a lot of such services.

Personally I'd advice against gambling overall (ye I know I wear a gambling signature at the moment!) but if someone insists on playing something without thinking or using skills, then why not buy a random stock? That'd give them 50% chance to win and with some research they could increase this chance.

I found this nice video a day ago, it tells the truth about lotteries in a funny way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PSWTDhHGt4

A very good point is made at 2:55 about the probabilities
Also at 4:07 they lottery in comparison with gambling and stock market in a funny way... "we take away all the skill of blackjack or poker just to make sure we have the best chance of getting your money"! Cheesy
I think the thoughts of people are different, some are quick to respond and some are not. The characteristics of successful people can differentiate between those who are profitable and those who are just having fun or not being profitable. playing lottery is fun but it's not profitable, but playing stock is very useful if you know the price of circulation in the market.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: August 29, 2019, 02:31:37 PM
It was just confirmed that the fight is going on December 7th in Saudi Arabia. Tons of huge fights comming on there. Khabib's next fight is in Abu Dabbi. Big moves in the fight game by the middle east...

Quote

Matchroom Sport has officially confirmed that the anticipated rematch between Andy Ruiz and Anthony Joshua will take place on December 7th in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom will hold a press conference this coming Monday in London, to discuss the details of the event.

The card is being called "Clash on The Dunes."

Who are you going with? I see Joshua actually showing up with some balls and focus that night and getting the job done to redeem himself, which will make the Wilder vs Joshua/Tyson vs Joshua fight relevant again.

As much as I want Andy to win again because he is such a likeable guy and a hardworker, I don't really see it. I mean if Ruiz knocks the fuck out Joshua's chin again then it's pretty much over, he should retire. I think he is aware of this fact and he isn't going to let this happen twice. I give Joshua an 8th round KO. But this is an extremely risky bet. Honeslty im not even sure if I want to get involved in this one. Ruiz can really pull it again. I want to see the odds before I make a decision.
yes I agree with you, this fight is quite balanced and highly anticipated. prestige fight which must be carried out by Joshua the article he had lost and knocked out by the ruiz. And I'm sure Joshua won't repeat the same mistake then.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 29, 2019, 01:54:02 PM
In my experiences, I already won but a little amount of BTC only betting on a boxing fight which is Pacquiao-Thurman fight.

Now can I ask you, did you ever won a huge amount of money on gambling?
Share your experience.
if for gambling on a site I have never been, but if for gambling directly, especially with English soccer I often. my win rate is above 80%.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: August 27, 2019, 02:48:05 PM
Politics seems predictable most of the time but looks like few people actually bet on it. Example, you know Joe Bidden has probably 50% chance of winning the Democrats primary. What stops you from picking and betting on that? Do you bet on politics and what are your winning stats.

Some time around October 2016 after the Access Hollywood tape was released, a certain betting site gave 108 to Trump winning the election. I believed strongly that Trump was going to win despite everything thrown at him. I had $5,000 and wanted to pick the odd. Somehow, I didn't follow through. That could have given me over half a million dollars in winning.

How often do you bet on Politics? Any reason why most people don't really bet on Politics? Do you know any trusted betting site that offers good odds in American Politics?
I like politics because it is full of different arguments and ideas, not only that but unites all groups. I like reading political news, I just found out if there are gambling sites about politics that can earn money.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Service on: August 27, 2019, 02:18:25 PM
i have a method i use to win some amounts daily on bets. and before anyone says otherwise, i am not charging upfront and not give predictions.

All you have to do is to create a betting account, link your accounts. load it up with money maybe €50-€100. give me access to account and i will do my job.

Also before anyone says i want to scam, there is no way i can withdraw your funds or do run with account, you can change password anytime as i dont have access to email.

So anyone wanna give it a try, if you load 50-100, i will win between 20-30 for you a day.

is this something you maybe interested in?

I do not believe that, if you want to be rich why should you ask others to fill it, even you can do it yourself. then what do you get if your profit is shared. believing in one's own abilities is better than asking others.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I don't know how to trust a gambling site nowadays! on: August 26, 2019, 02:13:23 PM
Why nowadays when there's a gambling site that offer a bunos on your first depost it seems like scam?  Especially if the bunos is to much than your initial deposit.

And also whe all knows mostly gambling site nowadays are using KYC.  but why when there's a promising site that doesn't require  kyc it smell fishy as well?  What did happen to this world?  How to trust again on this kind of sites?
that's the trick to getting investors customers, all of them must have their own ways to get fresh funds to support the project that they want to develop. For KYC, there are indeed many projects that use KYC because for the requirements to be able to join in it, I think the project that uses KYC is a good project.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 26, 2019, 01:41:13 PM
I've lost big. Over the last two or three years, I've lost 60K in total. It was almost my entire savings.
It started out with a large investment in bitcoin when the price was about 13K.
When the price dropped to below 4K, I lost all hope after waiting forever and gambled it on bitcoin gambling sites trying to triple it up, just to make my money back.
I lost that and a lot more. Never imagined it turning out this way. Especially after the price went back up.
I don't have a lot of close people to turn to nowadays. It's hard to get through each day feeling horrible. Just needed to reach out somewhere.
Sorry if this isn't the place.
everything that happens there must be wisdom behind it, do not ever regret the decisions that have been made. the name of investment must have advantages and disadvantages, we just respond to it like what. with this happening, you can learn the mistakes you've made and correct them in the future. there is no struggle in vain.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is expected to be found by investors in the new IEO? on: August 25, 2019, 05:25:06 PM
Really i would like to know what is expected to be found by investors in the new IEO, for myself i am looking for stable token which the prices always increase and can be used in buying goods and services, so what others looking for and what them needs?
the beginning of the emergence of the IEO did make the hunters prizes or investors interested in entering it, because of the possibility they are tired of the ICO that sprung up most spammers or not as expected. IEO has always been talked about lately because of its popularity in developing programs
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any earlier crypto investors on here? on: August 25, 2019, 05:05:53 PM
The hardest part in crypto life is already in the past,i wonder how hard it must have been for earlier investors who came into the space in 2010 upward,is there any earlier crypto investors on here? can you pls try to compare now to the old crypto days?

crypto which is now still nothing with crypto that used to be difficult to find investors. a trader who complains about current prices shows he is new to crypto now and has not learned from crypto in the past.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: waiting for altcoin season might take time on: August 25, 2019, 04:00:11 PM
I never expected anything to be easy maybe thats why i dont get worried about present market price

The first time i decided to invest in crypto was after the last bullrun of 2017 and i knew that 2017 was a big chance and i missed it since i never entered this space very earlier before the bullrun so after bear market takes over what comes straight to my mind was 'its never going to be easy to see a big change in market movement  like 2017'and since then i just keep my head up and find other means of living yet i cant do without investing in coins and tokens, the next altcoin season might not come anytime sooner but only those who are in hurry will be in pain, its never going to be that easy.
all must have their respective times, indeed in 2017 it is difficult to forget because at that time the price of all coins soared. I think what has happened, let it happen, all we have to do is decide for ourselves in the future.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What exchange is better than binance? on: August 24, 2019, 04:29:47 PM
I think that Binance will go bankrupt soon because if hacker attacks and scandals with users database. That is why I want to know what exchange is better to use. I know that changelly is good, but I don't know about them a lot/ Do you know it? What do you think about
I also don't really know about Changelly, but the best addition to binance in my opinion is Bittrex, which is cheap and fast. there are several other exchanges such as houbi, okex, kucoin, and hitbtc.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid mistake newbies still do till date on: August 23, 2019, 04:02:05 PM
Quit underestimating wallets and figure out how your wallets works either its ETH erc20 based wallets or multi walllets, you lose your private keys or recovery seeds you lose your coins and tokens,I was in a gathering on message when somebody posted his private key guaranteeing he didn't get an airdrop tokens,I wonder what may have transpired as of now,its like some still don't have the foggiest idea how genuine there wallets recovery seeds and private keys are, quit playing with wallet private keys and take them more serious like you doing with your bank account.
therefore we are more careful in securing a personal wallet because all the assets we have are in it. beginners do like to try because they are curious and still need a lot of experience. there is nothing wrong if done but if it has happened then just think of it as learning so that in the future you know and do not repeat the same mistakes again.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors are impatient and too quick to judge projects on: August 23, 2019, 02:05:01 PM
It usually surprise me when I see investors complaining about a good project that didn't increase  or providing returns immediately it got listed on the exchange and they term it scam or say different things like rekted.
But the truth is, are these investors investing in the project because they believe in it or are they just in it for the immediate profit and move on?  Because if you are investing in a project because you believe in it then you should be willing to HODL the tokens and wait for the team to gradually deliver the project and meet its necessary roadmap before you judge it and not condemn it on its first listing.
the purpose of investing is looking for profit so it's only natural that investors demand developments in the project being invested. investors must also believe in what is invested, because it has been chosen and determined in advance.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about this idea? people stocks exchange on: August 22, 2019, 03:25:29 PM
works like crowdfunding platform

Every person has it's own token, own market and can sell goods on his platform for his own currency.

The more currency you buy of this person, the more you support him and price of his tokens goes higher.

It also means supporters might get rewarded one day by high value of tokens they bought
I do not understand what you expect, all that is difficult to understand. has my own token, its own market and sells goods on its platform with its own currency, all of that I really don't understand. how can it be?
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I buy things on Amazon with Bitcoin? on: August 22, 2019, 02:28:47 PM
Bitcoin can be used to buy a variety of products available on Amazon ??
Can I buy Bitcoin through Robinhood?

You need to use a third party application to buy amazon products using bitcoin called, purse.io! However, I have not used their services personally but heard about them. But I will suggest you to read the below link before you begin using Purse services,

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3f36s5/before_you_use_purseio_a_few_things_everyone/

Secondly, there are lot of ways to buy bitcoins. I don't know about Robinhood but you can use Coinbase for your crypto purchasing need. Maybe someone else can help you for robinhood. But usually a little Google search will reveal more options specific to your country!
Interesting article, I just found out if you buy a product with bitcoin you have to use a third party application first. but I am still learning whether this application can be useful later.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin today on: August 21, 2019, 04:27:20 PM
Altcoins today are struggling , yes no doubt about that but if much attentions are giving to some altcoins with lots of potentials, i think it will make altcoins standout in the market. although some altcoins lacks vision and there are several coins i believe will defintely change the market positively.
all certainly hope that, altcoin will develop in its time. which needs to be understood that crypto is fluctuating, where prices can change significantly over time the sign we predicted before.
