161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Am I the only one? [Cryptopia exchange][SOLVED] on: April 26, 2018, 08:11:48 AM
I'm not quite sure if this is the right board to post this to but if it is not, just move it to the right one (mod), Thanks.

I deposited byteball to cryptopia last night from my byteball wallet and it has been 17 hours but it still doesn't show in my balance in cryptopia. I check the status of the transaction in my byteball wallet and it is stated that it is confirmed. I also cheked in the block explorer and I can see that I used the correct address to send it in.

Am I the only one having a hard time depositing at the said exchange?
162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC moon again? Yes. on: April 25, 2018, 05:40:47 PM
IMO, I'm just saying that it will really reach again that marked in the future but not too soon, seeing as how bitcoin struggles to get past the $10,000 mark despite its great recovery from the $6000 deficit last month. Anyways, if price continues to recover, despite some little dips a long the way, probably by october and above, we could see the price nearing or surpassing that price.
163  Other / Meta / Re: I am flabbergasted that it actually happens on this scale on: April 25, 2018, 07:02:14 AM
I am missing the actual posts. Looks like those posts were deleted (good job, bringing the attention), wish you had an archive.is  Smiley

I bet most of these users are either newbies or Jr. Member or possibly Member. IMO the spamming will reduce dramatically if the campaign managers allow only Full member and above raked users for their signature campaigns.

theymos is trying his best to save this forum from these bounty hunters and I believe he will succeed.

Also, if they will have a merit requirement for Full Members and above before participating bounty campaigns. Requiring a Full Member rank and above is not enough, because there are still a lot of them who are lucky enough to reach the rank before the merit system was implemented.

Guys, check this thread -- "How to do a lot of bounty" in Beginners & Help section

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3345574.0

explaining how to do 60 bounties and 130 twitter campaigns.

LOL. His personal text was set to "Road to Member" and he is probably thinking that he will get merited by making that kind of post but on the contrary, he did not.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you ever think on: April 25, 2018, 06:39:56 AM
If that would be the case, then i don't quite see the essence of being a trader. If you do that, let's say by investing to the whole crypto market, you will be assured that you will earn profits from it because you invested to the top 50 coins out there which has a high of price increasing, but that means that most of us will trade the same way so you'll probably earn a little compared when you search an undervalued coin by yourself and discover its potential in the future. You'll earn hundred times although it is riskier than the former strategy.
165  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion : Merit Jail on: April 25, 2018, 05:35:00 AM
OP, I respect your idea but I'd much prefer we bring back the actual newbie jail instead.  Maybe restrict noobs to a section where they can't get paid for running a signature, can't earn merit, or both.  Maybe have their exit from said jail contingent upon activity or something like that, I don't know.

The real problem is that there are too many accounts being registered, and they begin spamming from day one--and then they start getting paid for it as soon as they rank up to Jr. Member and can join one of these god-awful altcoin bounties.

Either way, it would be great if we could at least try something even if it's not perfect.  Then at least we'd know if it works.
Wouldn't it be better if they could still earn merits while they are restriceted to a certain section? Then it would be a great idea if there would be enough merit sources that is focused on that section only. If their exit on jail will be based upon reaching a specific activity then all they have to do is to wait it up until their acquired the required number of activity right? It will still be the same but if it would be merit based, they will never have the chance to get out of that section to spam in other boards like they usually do.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversify Investments on: April 25, 2018, 05:15:57 AM
Usually they recommend you to diversify your investment, so you avoid losses.

But as a real approach, having $1.5k, would you invest in how many cryptocurrencies ?

What if I invest little by little, only in Bitcoin, would that work as well ?
If you want to have an assurance, then you ought to invest in bitcoin as it is the most trusted coin out there. It is better to invest on it all in if ever you see a great opportunity like a lower price rather than slowly putting money to it waiting for a much lower price. You never know how the price will go so there is a chance that you might wait a while if the price recovered and increases for a long time.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to find new cryptos on: April 23, 2018, 02:43:30 PM
Following pages, channels or groups that are semi-trustworthy and promotes upcoming ICO and see if that gets a lot of support in the community. Read comments about it and if it piques my attention, I will start reading information about it. Do my own research, identify the potential of the ICO. It is really hard to find good ICO these days as most of them don't deliver on time.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you care about the ICO? Product or Vision? on: April 23, 2018, 02:34:34 PM
Hi everyone, I want to discuss which part of an ICO project do you care? This question is about to evaluate which is more important between Product and the Vision of a project?
Well, I care in both the product and the vision but I give more attention to the product. If it will be delivered on time, will be used in their use-cases and if I can consider it a utility product where it will be really used in the community. Even if the vision is too good to be true, I really don't care as long as they accomplished all the little small things that is needed to get to the next stage of the project.
170  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bounty managers scams on: April 23, 2018, 02:22:10 PM
Guess what! he/she can't even put a link to a prove his claims. Can you cite some alt accounts that the tokensuite itself if using to earn most of the budget for social media campaigns? Based on your complaint, seems like you had some fault in reporting to the due date of the social media campaign and tokensuite is not giving you a chance of consideration although you feel it is unfair in your side because of all the little effort you made clicking that share button.  Undecided
171  Other / Meta / Re: Scams.Thiefs.Bilker.Hackers on: April 23, 2018, 02:04:15 PM
There are many kinds of scams running in the forum and it always seems that you will always be tempted to click the bait or to negotiate further but at some point, you know that the negotiation you are having with a stranger is not true. So always be careful and ignore people you really don't know.

In my case, I always get PMed by other people who use the name of the admin of the telegram channel I am into and wants me to send a specific amount of ETH so that I may be included to a big bonus. LOL, I don't know if someone is stupid enough to get scammed that way tho.
172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: focus on: April 22, 2018, 04:06:28 PM
Good day fellow traders, I'm not really good in technical analysis, but for a newbie should I just focus my trades in just one coin? your thoughts?
For starters, yes you can focus on one coin first to get the gist of trading then learn from the experience you acquired and use it to your next trading. A piece of advice from me is that try picking on the top 100 coins in the coinmarketcap.com whose price is undervalued at the moment but has a huge potential of doubling up in the future.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM BOUNTY VS. GOOD BOUNTY on: April 22, 2018, 06:34:36 AM
Check the details of everything they said to the community so far like when they share a new partnership with other companies that will support their project. If it seems to good to be true then check the legality of the news in your own ways. See if the project has a good community support like in telegram but it should be a legit support not like they are just added to the channel against their will. Another thing is that I pretty much depend on who is the campaign manager of that bounty campaign because most likely they are very careful on accepting projects because they have to maintain a good image on their name.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i quit on joining bounty campaign? on: April 22, 2018, 06:20:23 AM
Seems like you are just promoting your campaign by using your own personal experience tho. Shocked Anyways, you just had a stroke of bad luck when you joined that campaign and that should not be a reason for you to stop joining bounty campaigns. Not all bounty campaigns that require KYC is a bad one, actually, KYC helps the bounty hunters to earn more because it detects alt accounts one way or the other so you will have more tokens earned at the end of the campaign when they are caught.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will always recover beyond its previous peak on: April 22, 2018, 05:37:14 AM
Bitcoin is in a cycle which most investors dismiss and will always recover beyond its previous peak.
Bitcoin historical crashes:

2011: Bitcoin fell 94%
2013: Bitcoin fell 87%
2014: Bitcoin fell 83%
2018: Bitcoin fell 70%

As you can see more MarketCap - less fell!
What do you think about it?

How I wish that this chart would be seen by all those newbies and weak handed people in the crypto community. This might change their perspective about cryptocurrencies whenever a crash occurs. Though this may serve as an assurance for them, they should not sill invest on bitcoin solely from this one. There are still a lot of factors that need to be considered to have a successful crypto career. Anyways, props to this chart but there is more to it than the price recovering always after a dip.
176  Economy / Economics / Re: The HODL strategy is not actual on: April 22, 2018, 05:12:21 AM
Its much better if you hold your btc longer rather sell it immediately because a lot of experts or believers of btc they suggest that holding is more vauble rather than dumping so if you hold your btc you can gain more profit from it. Don't listen to others if they spread negativity.
That's true in the case of bitcoin, you can hold as long as you want and will still be assured that its price will recover. So you should hold your bitcoin until you see a satisfiable profit if you sell, then you can buy again later when a dip occurs or in other words, buy bitcoin at a lower point of entry than you had before. But if you are unsure whether the price will dump again, better to hold on as long as you can if you want to maximize your profits.
177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Serious, I Started To Worry...... on: April 22, 2018, 03:33:30 AM
That's the result of FUDs tho. Grin Well, I want to give you an advice that you should not believe most of the things you read on the internet as that will only make you worry and give you stress about your investments but in any case, you will still believe all the rumors that are spreading so there would be no point. I guess it is better you experience and learn from it in a hard way.
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clairvoyant approach versus analytical in investment decision taking on Cryptos. on: April 22, 2018, 03:20:20 AM
The fact is, with either approach, people tend to predict the movement of the market many times up until now so the chances of them hitting the correct one are high. But if I were to choose, I'd say the analytical approach is better for me rather than a clairvoyant approach because the analytical approach has a basis on their predictions compared to a clairvoyant one.
179  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Forum to create social media sites to replace facebook and twitter on: April 21, 2018, 06:03:23 AM
Hello guys I know you have heard about the recent banning of cryptocurrency by facebook and twitter. And is somewhile I am thinking if we could just have a social media of our own which is dedicated to the growth and development of cryptocurrency. With this I am asking the creator of this forum if they will accept this idea that they will create an extension of this forum that looks like facebook and twitter so that we no longer need to use facebook and twitter anymore. This is a call for revolution against those social media sites who are abusing their power and authority.

So what do you think guys is my opinion good or just a plain nonsense.
It will be hard to achieve the feat that those social medias attained. Gaining a lot of supporters like them would be hard for a social media that would be focused solely on cryptocurrencies. The reason why we advertise on social media is to attract new potential investors who still don't have a single idea about cryptos and developing a social media just like what you said will unlikely to get many supporters.
180  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I handle crypto regret on: April 21, 2018, 03:44:33 AM
I don't have any cause to regret whatever actions I have taken as far as selling my cryptos is concerned whatever my instinct tells me to do when l feel like selling off I don't hesitate of course I have a firm belief that there are better opportunities ahead well this a personal opinion.
I ought to disagree with you. It's hard to believe that you don't feel any regret on your crypto decisions, you should have felt it at some point and you just don't wanna admit it because of your pride maybe. It is inevitable to feel those emotions especially if something that could bring you fortune end up earning a dime because of wrong instincts. I too have my fair share of experiences so I can say.
