Developer abandoned the project and made a scam, so there are no new ideas.

In what way is now a "scam"?

He is a bit harsh, but he got a point as one should have the option to have his account details removed from the database. I don't care about it on almost website I'm registered with, but I know that many do.

Ok but what is the pourpose of all this? Why "new" token? Apart from the fact the many new tokens gets spawned everyday. Why this should replace POS? Sorry for the maybe newbie's questions, but I'vent followed POS lately.

So are you saying minting the POS is actually a waste of gas?

166  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: TomosMining - HIGHEST PAID MINING (BTC->FaucetHub) 5% REF! on: April 20, 2018, 01:26:51 PM
Ya i dont see bitcoins being very high in the future.... they are now because ppl are in a frenzy, so i dont hope for future profit either. Its not like btc will be like 1 million dollars one day, i think in the future they will stabilize and be much lower.
Right now if I do the math my setup would cost roughly $70 a month. i mine 1 mil satoshi every 15 minutes. if i would get 300 satoshi per mil ($0.025 in todays value 1btc = 8533.42usd) and mine 24-7, i would earn $72. So anything below 300 satoshi would be a loss period, i dont mine for losses.

I wouldn't be that pessimistic. There is a chance that if BTC gets mass adoption - now is still in very few hands compared on the mass population of the world - it will naturally increase in value because it's a limited resource. Maybe the satoshis of today will be equal the dollars of tomorrow, who knows Smiley
167  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: TomosMining - HIGHEST PAID MINING (BTC->FaucetHub) 5% REF! on: April 20, 2018, 07:17:35 AM
The problem is that 300 satoshi per mil is barely profitable for someone who is doing the mining. Anything less than that is only profitable for who hosts the pool, for the miners it's just a waste of time and money. Now if you dont pay for electricity is one thing, but if you do, then it's stupid to invest in something that doesnt pring anything back, unless u just love paying for your computer to mine.

It depends if you look for profitabiliy in short term or long term. Short term profitability is long gone, I don't think it exists anymore.

Infact I don't look for profitability in short term, I take for granted that I'm mining on loss for 95% of the times/coins I pick. So I don't expect to pay the electricity bill with what I just mined the very last month.

Instead, I go for the long term, I know I'm mining at loss now but I hope that BTC will gain a lot more value in the future so what I mine today will be a lot more valuable in 1-2 years.

Tomos instead is enjoying his holidays with what the people are still mining with him lol.

I think it's a possibility that he may be facing some serious issues (health, jail, ... etc.).

You forgot:

  • internet disconnection/banning in his country
  • maphia kidnapping
  • accidental fall into another dimension
  • alien abuction
  • marriage with a nymphomaniac brunette
  • World of Warcraft
169  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Case against Stocks.exchange. How they stole my coins on: April 14, 2018, 03:45:45 AM
Stocks.exchange have twitter you can post on twitter comment too i think more people and support maybe see.

Posted it on twitter. Support is not doing anything. They have stole now all my coins. It is a shame.

You probably have been really stolen your account and "they" - some hackers - stolen your funds. Not "they" as the stocks exchange admins.

Did you use same email/password on other websites? If yes the hacker having access to that email/password combination may have tried on other services and used to login in your place.

Always use a different password for every website. It's a bit more difficult to manage and rememeber - I use a password manager for this - but it's more secure.

mooncash has been down for me since around 10:30 am EST it's now 12:53 pm and its still not working  Undecided
. . . Mate . . moon cash has been down since lunchtime in the UK . . . !! . . . . its not an easy life at all . . . Cool

It's so frustrating buddy. I'm in the UK as well and not been able to access the site for most of the day.

I'm struggling to log on to the CoinPot dashboard as well - it takes ages to load, if at all - but strangely the lottery page loads fine.
I've got a Win 10 and Chrome OS laptops that have been logged in and mining tokens all day . . just can't claim any BCH . . i reckon they emptied the pot and put it all on Bitcoin for that mega rise this morning . . Smiley

BCH went down so I don't see how would benefit to convert into BTC Smiley

I rebooted the router and my IP changed, I don't have a static one, so now I'm clear. My IP was something like 79.xxxxxx before the reboot. You may want to try to look for it or I'll send it if it will be assigned to me again in the future and it's still banned.

As for CentOS6 and XmrStak, I tried to compile on a VirtualBox VM and it worked flawless with the instructions provided some posts ago, I only had to add some switches in order to disable AMD and NVIDIA since on the server I don't have any gpus so I will only benefit from cpu cores. For the real deal on the real server I have to wait for a sysadmin friend of mine. With the switches the updated instructions are:

Code:
sudo yum install centos-release-scl epel-release
sudo yum install cmake3 devtoolset-4-gcc* hwloc-devel libmicrohttpd-devel openssl-devel make
scl enable devtoolset-4 bash
git clone https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak.git
mkdir xmr-stak/build
cd xmr-stak/build
cmake3 .. -DOpenCL_ENABLE=OFF -DCUDA_ENABLE=OFF
make install

Did you adjust the algo from monero to monero7 ? In your config file?

Of course, I made the install from scratch without reusing anything. (DO NOT USE THE CONFIGURATION BELOW, IT HAS SOME MISTAKES THAT WILL GET YOUR IP BANNED)

Code:
"pool_list" :
[
{"pool_address" : "168.235.86.33:3333", "wallet_address" : "SK_qSQgoe3NtQn8xmSxmtDW9.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX", "rig_id" : "pc1", "pool_password" : "x", "use_nicehash" : true, "use_tls" : false, "tls_fingerprint" : "", "pool_weight" : 1 },
],

"currency" : "monero7",

edit: I downloaded the xmrstak zip from C4H and I see some differences with the pool configuration: the pool port and the nicehash set to false, maybe these differences triggered the ban.

Mine are still mining, so it's not the pool

With which software, OS and algo?

I'm having my IP banned even if my house machines (3 CPU + 1 GPU) are all using Xmr Stak 2.4.2 with "monero7" algo.

Thanks, I've only a server with Centos6 atm that I can use and it was a bit tricky to compile cpuminer-opt onto.
For Centos it is:
Code:
sudo yum install centos-release-scl epel-release
sudo yum install cmake3 devtoolset-4-gcc* hwloc-devel libmicrohttpd-devel openssl-devel make
scl enable devtoolset-4 bash
git clone https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak.git
mkdir xmr-stak/build
cd xmr-stak/build
cmake3 ..
make install

Thank you very much I'll give it a shot as soon as I can.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt v3.8.7, open source optimized multi-algo CPU miner on: April 10, 2018, 11:44:13 AM
I'm very surprised that a man like Joblo has only 2 personns who gave him merit !!!

I am the third : +5 merit for you Joblo and I think it is not so much for all you kindly job.
I invite each person who use your CPUMiner-opt to give you some merit : it is a minimum.
Thank you Joblo/JayDDee for your job ;-).

You're right, the problem is for me Merit System is crap so I tend to not support or use it because it basically froze my rank, so I'm holding a bit - to use an euphemenism - of a grudge against it.

Also he's already Legendary so I don't think he needs more merits anyway.

By the way I gave him one Cheesy

I need a monero7/cryptonight7 linux miner or when the c4h pool updates I'll loose some machines, do you know any? I'm using cpuminer-opt now but it looks like it hasn't added monero7 yet.

Any luck finding one yet?

I was hoping cpuminer-opt would be updated with the alogs but the developer doesn't seem to be willing to do it.

I think Xmr Stak would do, I hope I'll manage to compile it.
Hello,
You can download compiled release. Why do you want to compile it from sources?

AFAIK precompiled binaries are only for Windows. For linux you have to compile yourself from sources.
