161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 20, 2017, 07:09:32 PM
Don't worry, be happy!

Im confident Bitmain will ship my may order on time! 😄

lol u keep being positive. what i can tell you for sure is my order was supposed to be shipped on the 15th of april and i have 0 to show for my $7300 plus shipping. that and my miners are being used against the network and no official announcement has been sent to me telling me of any delays caused by firmware. i shouldnt have to ask them for an update....its their responsibility to tell me what is going on and they havent. i hope your miners come on time i really do but just remember the april 15th orders will go out before yours because they were made before yours so your probably going to see delays with your order as well.

either way bitmain got back to me and we r sorting through a resolution now. i finally got a real response not a cut and paste response so thats a step in the right direction.

My guess is that they already have the miners and have been using them already. The firmware update was to buy time for mining. It sucks for April batch, but we'll see. They are just unloading old stock but realized that maybe they can delay segwit and earn more money before they start releasing.

Link to coinbase pulling back?

This is why cryptos suck sometimes. The asic manufacturers are greedy and pull shady tactics. The longevity of the coin is based on adopters. The goal is to share to everyone wins in the end, not pull tactics and give people a bad memory of mining. April guys are in panic, but maybe they release next week.

Do you have mains voltage higher than 208 V ?
If you don't have >208 V available, then this power supply is not for you.

If you are in USA or elsewhere with only 110-120 V available, then HP DPS-1200FB server power supply (two of those for two miners) could be one good option.
Sidehack here at the forum has those for sale with breakout board & PCI-E cables.

Could we use a regular psu? I have this old corsair hx 1050, I think that should be sufficient, but not exactly sure.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why wouldnt Bitmain keep the new Litecoin miners for themselves? on: April 14, 2017, 06:02:38 PM
They most likely have a lot of litecoins and bitcoins already. When you have a lot its more important more people use and profit to get attention to litecoin than mine yourself because the price of something won't increase with just a few majority holders. That's my guess. They want to see cryptos much higher, and more mooning.

Yes.
And you should see the manual, lots of useful info there.

Someone told me that I have to have a 205 volt at least outlet, so that's why I was wondering, but you can run 110 which is USA from what you guts are saying. Smiley!

Would a corsair hx 1200 be able to power these bad boys? Link to hx : http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hx-series-hx1200-1200-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-fully-modular-psu-na . Also we must set these at the 240V on the psu or can they run on 110?

it will work on 110 or 220

by work it will do the antminer which is about 800-900 watts

Thank you very much! I have these old corsair hx 1050s. Would that also work with these? I'm looking at pcie not sure if it has enough. Thanks for help.

I'm guessing the cards are all in USD? Any idea if the staples cards work in Canada?

I have no idea, but these are in the US. I know other retailers allow it but not sure here.

Hey there,

Old member whos done a few trades in the past, so would prefer if you sent first or we can escrow your choice. I have these cards laying around and I can't seem to find purchases on items at the moment.

I have 3 $50 steam gift cards and 4 x $50 staples gift cards.

If you're interested please send pm or list here an amount in BTC. For now I'll sell them $5 off per $50 card.

Price for the steam cards? I might buy them all Smiley

What's a fair price? $42 per? Send me a pm.
