Until a payment processor pops up that offers buyer protection for cash transactions, I don't think cash will go mainstream.
Now read it again.

You don't give away cash to an un-trusted person unless you're willing to take the risk.

I just thoguht of something - What about a BITCOIN CREDIT CARD! Only problem is the money changes so durastically.

Its called paypal + credit card. You won't get scammed unless you buy the monster one. With orders < $5000 it should be okay.

366  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 18, 2013, 04:11:29 PM

367  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 18, 2013, 04:09:26 PM
Who got the lowest order #? Mine was #500....I got pissed they didn't accept the other cards.

Yeah ok.

Whatever.

If it was Terrahash why are they selling just 15 of them lol. Why not just put up the whole lot and finish it while they are at it?

Wait, how did you get a request for orders that exceeds your Avalon chip supply but pre-orders haven't even started until June 18th.  How is this possible?  Does that mean when we pay for pre-orders on June 18th, we'll be getting our units after this large order?

I'm disappointed that Terrahash is going to a preorder scheme when we have no manufacturing timeline, no way to guarantee a timeline would be adhered to, and still no details of (e.g.) their Avalon bulk order. I also find it odd that this reversal came so suddenly.

Also, while I'm glad they will accept PayPal, if preorders are far enough in advance of projected delivery, that may hinder our ability to obtain refunds (through PayPal) should Terrahash disappear or miss a delivery target.

We have received a request for orders that far exceeds the amount of Avalon chips that we have already ordered. The money raised from pre-orders will be used to order more Avalon chips, to ensure a constant supply of our products.

I think when he says requests for orders, he probably means people have sought interest by email/pm. So if you get flooded with 100's of people asking i'm sure that he can't supply enough chips for all. Therefore, he's going to use pre order money to buy more chips.

I think people were able to get 12 gh/s off of them quite easily plus they've been released for some time compared to the pre order. You do make some sense though as its fair to want to get more than 90 day investment. Best of luck.

you do realize you're selling this for the equivalent of an eruptor which is already released for 50 btc... maybe a slight change in price would be fair?

I might could come down a bit.

Though, to be fair an eruptor does 10GH and costs 50BTC.  Both of these do 10GH and costs 46.5BTC.

And, these are shipping ASAP from US. Blades are 4-5 days to Euro, 8+ for US.??  Anyone know for sure>?

I am willing to listen to any reasonable offers. Ideally nothing less than what the units will turn out in 90 days (Daily 0.224771  per unit), otherwise I'll just put them to work myself.

cheers
