25 days to go

Yeah, I don't expect my BFL orders to get here any time soon.  25 Days LOL they still are working on 2012 orders.
162  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 04, 2013, 09:25:34 PM

Dispatched August 31st, I think it went around the world once already. Maybe it's making it's second pass?

Mine too. No Activity since Aug 31.    Maybe the USPS driver is a bitcoin enthusiast and is breaking in our miners for us ;-)
163  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 04, 2013, 03:06:24 PM
wtf... Maybe we won't get these shipped today Huh

Yea, mine still shows sitting in the Sort Facility in WA no updates since Aug 31st.    I guess Dave overloaded the poor USPS sort facility.  ;-)
I was so looking forward to getting it today too.   Cry

Tracking info on USPS site
Curious, have you received any tracking updates yet for your shipment?   Mine still showing same status as your's.

165  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: September 04, 2013, 12:04:52 PM
Interesting...

The standard shipping is going UPS ground from Maumee, OH.   I was expecting USPS from somewhere in Washington.
Looking forward to hooking up my unit.
I have been miner-less for a couple of months now since my Ares 5870x2 blew out.

Thats funny, my shipping is coming from Washington and heading to Ohio.  ;-)  WOnder why they didn't ship from Maume for mine.

really wanting a refund here on my chips...  slightly (read very) nervous that steamboat hasn't posted recently with a way forward. with the deadline tomorrow, i'm really really hoping we don't get screwed!

Well we are already screwed by ShitSyncom.

Same Sad Mine shows it was supposed to be delivered today, but it shows it is still in WA. I am wondering if it didn't take into account the holiday and maybe it is supposed to be shipped tomorrow. Either that or their tracking just isn't updating and it's out for delivery right now.

I hope you get yours today.  My Mail carrier came and left already today.

Did anyone in the US receive their boards?

USPS said scheduled delivery today, but when I check tracking it still shows as being in WA. Huh??  USPS Fail!!

USPS tracking is different than UPS and Fed Ex. This is in part do to the older technology some of there hubs/distribution units that are setup. Your package could actually be enroute to your local USPS post office or another hub. Once it gets their it will update and shows that its arrived at that location. Where as UPS scans the package numerous times at each hub and gives current status of the actual package (like package enroute to addison Hub in Illinois, or Package on local delivery truck, package just arrived, package left facility, ect).

Yeah, I have tracked USPS packages before.  Just last week in fact.  It usually updates once it get to my local sort hub then once again when its on the mail truck for delivery.

But not for this package, I guess because of the holiday its backed up?  Oh well I was hoping for some quick hashes before the monster 20MM difficulty jump today.  ;-)

170  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can Erupter Blade be used with p2pool? on: September 03, 2013, 01:38:37 PM
Like I said I don't use P2pool,  but I would double check to make sure the ports you are listening too with your Proxy are "getwork" protocol ports IE (8332 default setting).  Is p2pool stratum compatible?  I don't know.  Double check configuration to ensure you are connecting to a  "stratum" protocol port on p2pool.  Have you tried connecting directly to that port on p2pool with the blade configuration, bypassing the stratum proxy?
171  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Block Erupter Blade (New Model)]Low Price, Limited Quantity on: September 03, 2013, 11:59:08 AM
4 btc/$560 cost basis for 10gh + starting difficulty 88,000,000 + only 15% per difficulty increase = $27 profit after 12 months.  No go.

Mining is dead, long live mining!

What calculations for % gain in BTC price?

What calculations for % decrease in BTC price?    (This is just as  likely)  ;-)

Hi,
Here are some initial troubleshooting steps.
I would first look to make sure you have 2 pools configured in your blade set up.  For now, they can be set to the same pool.   So, that means two sets of server ID's , and two sets of logon ID:Passwords.
The server IP's and the addresses need to be separated by comma.  The userid and password pairs separated by a colon.  ':' .

Like so
PORTS 8332,8332
SERVER ADDRESSES   192.168.0.10,192.168.0.10
USER:PASS   USERID:PASSWORD,USERID:PASSWORD

( Of course use the IP's and ports of your stratum proxy server not the above values. )   :-)

Restart the blade and look at the output of your stratum proxy server to see if it starts getting work.

The stratum proxy log should look something like this :

Code:
2013-09-01 17:33:05,155 WARNING proxy getwork_listener._on_submit # [0ms] Share from 'WORKER1' accepted, diff 128
2013-09-01 17:33:05,236 INFO proxy getwork_listener._on_authorized # Worker 'WORKER1' asks for new work
2013-09-01 17:33:05,259 INFO proxy getwork_listener._on_authorized # Worker 'WORKER1' asks for new work
2013-09-01 17:33:05,408 INFO proxy jobs.submit # Submitting 3cc941a7 'WORKER1'
2013-09-01 17:33:05,408 WARNING proxy getwork_listener._on_submit # [0ms] Share from 'WORKER1' accepted, diff 128
2013-09-01 17:33:05,446 INFO proxy jobs.submit # Submitting eea592db
2013-09-01 17:33:05,446 WARNING proxy getwork_listener._on_submit # [0ms] Share from 'WORKER1' accepted, diff 128
2013-09-01 17:33:05,540 INFO proxy jobs.submit # Submitting 60e7ac02

If you get any errors, you have something configured wrong somewhere, or p2pool not set up correctly.

as a secondary troubleshooting step, configure your stratum proxy to point to a public mining pool.    http://hhtt.1209k.com/   is easy to use and doesnt require you to sign-up

Restart  your stratum proxy to the following  host and port.

Host stratum.hhtt.1209k.com   port 3333

When you restart your stratum proxy, look at the log and watch for it connect to the hhtt pool and start listening for workers.  If you see any errors, somehting is wrong with your stratum proxy setup.

Now, change your logins in your blade configuration to your own valid bitcoin address as the username and anything you like as the password and restart.

This should get you mining to the hhtt  pool.  If this works fine then there is something wrong with the p2pool configuration.

Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to write this up.  Some very valuable information for those who are thinking of doing this.   My hats off to you.   I think you also need to add , GB organizer must have patience of a Saint.  LOL I would tell most of the drama queens doom and gloomers to take your BTC back and  F**k off .  ;-)   Hahah Not a good trait to have for customer service.
175  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can Erupter Blade be used with p2pool? on: September 01, 2013, 10:03:36 PM
Hi,
I cant answer your question about P2Pool.  Probably best to post in that thread.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313.0

You can download the stratum proxy from this site --->>  https://github.com/slush0/stratum-mining-proxy
Instructions on how to run are included.

You can monitor your mining effort a few ways,  On your blade configuration screen, at the pool you are mining into and the strum proxy output.  They all have different levels of user friendliness.

If you use p2pool, there are graphs and charts available to you for statistics on your workers.

Happy Mining!

176  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC USBs for 0.2 BTC... Is it good or bad! on: September 01, 2013, 04:33:34 PM
https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/56223-usb-block-erupter-asic-miner-bitcoin-fpga-blade-bfl-avalon-new

This person, on bitmit, is selling the USB ASICs for 0.2 BTC.

I have heard that the mining power of USB ASICs are not good and I should not buy, but this price is low.

Is it a good deal?

Well, if you go to the group buy section here on this forum, you can get the same item for .18 BTC
