monk is not a scam ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Why do people see so much potential in this coin? I like the concept--local women sowing dolls--but I don't see it going much higher than it already has.

Everything. Everything is on sale right now. Except Vechain.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I missed the boat on Sether. I'll catch metronome, though.

I think that AION, Quantstamp, and Dent are great projects that can be safer, long term holds.
Appcoins and INS are two newer coins that will likely explode. The same for Trinity and possibly INT. Check out BCPT as well, since I think it's way undervalued.
I would reserve a few thousand for good new ICOs coming up. Money well placed there can easily outperform most of the market.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I don't particularly understand the US restrictions. Imo, this regulation hurts the masses more than it helps.

Great news. Hopefully my alts go back up again.

I've seen tons of great ICOs that, unfortunately, are closed to US investors. Which ones are quality ICOs that US investors can participate in?
|
|

I don't know, but hopefully so.

I don't think this dip is about Bitcoin Futures. It doesn't make any sense because BTC futures are too small as volume right now. They are under 1B and the market lost 300B...
That's a great point.

which ones on your list?
Loomia MedicalChain (US not allowed) Go Network (US not allowed) Those are some of the big ones coming up, imo. Also, check out newly added coins on coinmarketcap: https://coinmarketcap.com/new/ Some of them have just been released from hot ICOs and the market crash has caused them to go back closer to ICO price. Some examples are SelfKey, Trinity, Telcoin, Internet Node Token and INS.

Yeah, that CNBC quote scared me a bit. But, when has CNBC not been hating on cryptocurrency? lol. Their $10,000 price drop prediction was correct, but they've been generally incorrect over the long term. I'll take their advice with a grain of salt.

I heard that Russia is drafting a bill to legalize crypto over there. It's the ideal environment for mining, among other things. Hopefully Russian money will help the market grow even more in the coming months.

I recently watched a video that explained this as being a possible reason. The cutoff date for some of the bitcoin futures was Jan 17th, and I think another one is coming on the 26th. Could it be possible that some whales tried to short the market in order to get a good futures return?
It would be a good time to do so, especially given the annual dip in prices because of the Lunar New Year in Asia. What do you all think?

Yeah I just spotted it and I'm curious about too.

Here is a tip for all the noobs, all the smart money have their biggest positions in NEO, ICX, VEN, BNB and AION. Cheers.
This is actually great advice.

I wish they had a better team. Right now, it's just two dudes with not nearly enough relevant experience to make me feel secure about investing in the project.

There are more big ones coming. Don't worry about it.

People were acting like Bread was the next great thing just a few weeks ago. Now, it's fallen out of favor as new cryptos have become the fads of choice. It's a good product with a working exchange. It'll go up in price eventually. I thought about investing at the low, but I wasn't terribly enamored with it, so I chose not to. I would just wait until it hits a high and consider your options then.

Watch Wabi, Oyster and Flixxo this month. They are behind other coins. They should make a new attack.
Good picks.

I like Opus, but they are seriously lacking liquidity on Etherdelta. There's just a bunch of ridiculous buy/sell walls, and nothing reasonable in between or any takers for a market value price. But then again, Etherdelta sucks in general. I might do better to try on IDEX.
