161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QQCoin- Download Now- Quick Quick Coin is exactly that, QUICK! on: December 29, 2013, 09:29:39 PM

As I said I'm quite new to this, is the Wallet being out of sync by 9500 blocks a problem?
My last confirmation was at 19:03 for something that was mined at 15:57

Yes. Your wallet should sync before you mine. You may find out that a lot of those blocks are orphans when you restart the client.  Undecided

When I started yesterday it did sync and I was ok till about 1am GMT when it started to lag on the sync.. I have'nt restarted anything, but the miner keeps finding blocks and then the older entry in wallet gets a confirm. is that right??

Id say without a doubt that you should restart your wallet and make sure it's synced before you mine any further. To not do so is to risk building up a rather large pile of mostly nothing.  Shocked

Balls!!

I've restarted the wallet - and its sync'd....

Balance 0.00
Stake 0.00
Unconfirmed 0.00

Number of transactions: 278

What's happened?

You were mining blocks that had already been mined earlier in the blockchain due to being out of sync.

Yeah, don't worry this happens to all of us at one time or another. Horrible to see the coins vanish, but if you get lucky with solo mining always check everything twice because getting lucky is rare.

why does it state 278 transactions but in the transactions tab theres nothing?

Because they were orphaned ...  What's worse is getting real blocks and having them bug out and only be worth 1 Sad

thats very very strange, i have not seen that in any of the blocks?  anyone else had this happen? blocks with value of 1?

Would they become orphaned even though they have had a green tick by them instead of the clock thingy and have confrimations ranging from 70 to 250?

Started at 23:15 here in the UK.

Using HD6950.

Standard solo-mining settings, no amendments to any of the settings.
Only thing I've done is had to increase SpeedFan from 70 to 80% as it's a dodgy card and trips out when ever it hits 65deg.

Ybcminer screen shot:

I'm new to all this BitCoin and Alt coin (4 usb erupters on Freicoin) so I dont know if the above is ok or not...

500k yeah right...

Post screenshots of wallets as well - cos half of these could still be waiting to mature.

I'm sitting on nearly 40k with actual balance of 26,698 & immature 14,461

So does this now mean they can concentrate on refunding people?

Adding my "Wtf?" to the rabble.

Great news update - it sounded like my ex "me me me me me me" what about US!

They want to regain confidence then why dont they just come clean and tell us that they dont intend to do any refunds, instead of leaving everyone in limbo.

**think the site just went down**

They seem to have updated the site now and balances are set to 0.
But I payouts in process, I want those back, at least partially.  Angry

There are No payouts on mine, no wallet info, No Auto Payment list.
Tells me I have no transactions at all.

Wonder if there will be an update in the news section as 28th Oct is still the last one in there.

Im waiting on 1.05BTC

I look on the facebook page and people are complaing about not being able to withdraw 40 to 333BTC(in one case). I mean come on, you dont withdraw 333BTC and cash in when its at its highest that's like 195k.

I'm putting this down to a learning curve and set my Autopayouts a hell of a lot lower.
172  Economy / Gambling / Re: ANN: 200+ BTC Giveaway on Bit777 & The Amazing Race @ Peerbet! on: October 25, 2013, 12:04:32 PM

Hi, I'm in the UK and have never been a member of the NUM or the Conservative party.

You have a hardware question?

Ahhh someone older than 30 Cheesy

Yeah - I will post it in the Hardware section once access is improved as the n00b section isnt really meant for it..

Not related to the Hardware question I have, but I have just managed to use an ebay sniffer and got a New ASIC Miner Erupter USB for £27 are they actually any good?

Thought at £27 not a bad price compared to some of the gadgets I've got like the £200 Electronic Barcode reading bin.

Hello!  I'm not from the UK...and I'm also a newbie!  What do you mean by "any good."  Sure, you can set them up, and they will mine a little itty bit of bitcoins, I just set up 4 (I got them for free from a friend) and have been mining for about a day now.

What return are/have you got from the 4 of them?

Welcome to the forum!  Grin

You are certainly headed (vvvvv) in the right direction! I'm 48 years young and having a blast!  Cheesy Cheesy

35 here. wish I got into this a year ago when my geeky mate was raving about it. Instead I was/still am doing the Freebie Referral sites.

Looking at the "rigs" people have created & made is mind blowing.

Hi all,

Started the mining to pass bordem after an opperation. A few months passed and I'm proudly sitting on 1 FreiCoin but no where near on the LiteCoin, FeatherCoin, NovaCoin or BitCoin.

How many UK miners are here. (Maggie Thatcher is dead now so you can all speak up <---- that will also give an age indication aswell)

This is really a post just to say hi and so I can go and ask a Hardware related question.
