Started at 23:15 here in the UK.

Using HD6950.

Standard solo-mining settings, no amendments to any of the settings.
Only thing I've done is had to increase SpeedFan from 70 to 80% as it's a dodgy card and trips out when ever it hits 65deg.

Ybcminer screen shot:

I'm new to all this BitCoin and Alt coin (4 usb erupters on Freicoin) so I dont know if the above is ok or not...
damn no wonder you got so much since you started at dificutly 2, now its 230!

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

OK I finally got the right scrypt-jane settings compiled into the stratum module.

If anyone wants to try the pool, sign up at

http://goober.homeunix.net

Stratum Port 3333
http://goober.homeunix.net:3333

Payout cron got stuck, sorry guys, but not to worry!  I just fixed it and it sent out about 25,000 worth of QQC as it caught up for the last 15 minutes.

Which is the best pool currently?

I have tried altexc, cipherpool and homeunix but all of them seems to be overloaded.

altexc and cipherpool takes time to get your coins and see the correct stats. homeunix seems to have some issues, giving no coins currently.

I'm definitely paying out Smiley

From altexc pool:

Pool Hash Rate   763.129 MH/s
Pool Efficiency   96.77%
Current Active Workers   78
Current Difficulty   3.5499904
Est. Next Difficulty   3.54966142 (Change in 1094 Blocks)
Est. Avg. Time per Round (Network)   20 seconds
Est. Avg. Time per Round (Pool)   19 seconds
Est. Shares this Round   14541 (done: 9656.94%)
Next Network Block   25119    (Current: 25118)
Last Block Found   24960
Time Since Last Block   30 minutes 12 seconds

Is this a front-end problem or is something wrong? The probability of a block taking this long is close to zero.

Its a frontend problem. There is a big lag in the stats and payouts on this pool.

As I said I'm quite new to this, is the Wallet being out of sync by 9500 blocks a problem?

YES let the wallet sync up because those coins may not stay once the wallet is restarted. You can ont mine until the wallet is fully synced up.

Yes. Your wallet should sync before you mine. You may find out that a lot of those blocks are orphans when you restart the client.  Undecided

When I started yesterday it did sync and I was ok till about 1am GMT when it started to lag on the sync.. I have'nt restarted anything, but the miner keeps finding blocks and then the older entry in wallet gets a confirm. is that right??

Id say without a doubt that you should restart your wallet and make sure it's synced before you mine any further. To not do so is to risk building up a rather large pile of mostly nothing.  Shocked
