161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: October 17, 2017, 05:25:52 AM
Do not stay away. It is by far the very best ALT coin. In fact I wish they would actually not put it into the ALT category.

ALT's should be everything except Botcoin and ETH.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost my eth during the fork and some of my erc20 token ! WTF on: October 17, 2017, 05:23:43 AM
This will become more and more common sadly. Sorry for your loss. Were you using metamask by any chance?
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best ico coming... on: October 17, 2017, 05:21:05 AM
Just remember that nothing is really "free". A good ICO does not require fancy gimmicks and free coins.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be Taxed...... on: October 17, 2017, 05:19:04 AM
The truth of the matter is Bitcoin is already taxed by law in all countries.

Its not a matter about taxing it - its a matter on how they can control and audit it.

Russia, with cryptorubels is smart - there attitude is "if you cant beat them, join them"

His plan is to create the cryptoruble so his government can control it.

If they can control it.... they can tax it.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO to end within a week as it reaches its hardcap? on: October 16, 2017, 02:49:12 PM
Why are you adding a page to the ART Token page. Surely this type of spamming does not do that ICO any good?
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO to end within a week as it reaches its hardcap? on: October 16, 2017, 02:35:40 PM
Hi carbon - I really do apreciate your feedback.

Yes I also agree. One tends to get emotionally attached to an ICO. Humans!!

I am comfortable with their roadmap. Realise that this is long-term.

Thanks agin.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Authorship ATS on: October 16, 2017, 01:48:59 PM
I have no dount that everyone will receive their tokens. It has been a nightmare out there for ATS. Crypto is great but certainly EXTREMELY impatient.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LATEST: Update on AUTHORSHIP (ATS) [NEWEST!!! OCTOBER 5, 2017] on: October 16, 2017, 01:40:51 PM
Yes - I noticed that also. Not cool man. Lets keep this forum on the right track guys.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO to end within a week as it reaches its hardcap? on: October 16, 2017, 01:35:13 PM
This is fantastic information. Thankyou very much.

So an ICO has sold out before it even launched in the past! That is amazing.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a coin without mining? on: October 16, 2017, 09:56:41 AM
Yes there is soon to be one. It will be obtained by "selling" your un-used bandwidth. Its called Gladius. I have signed up to invest into this ICO.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO to end within a week as it reaches its hardcap? on: October 16, 2017, 09:52:56 AM
Many thanks guys. Very much apreciated.

I will definately be investing into this ICO. The thing that has me completely "sold" is that the dev team will have their coins vested for 18 months. I think with so many ICO's the teams get tired and de-motivated simply because they get paid too soon.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: October 16, 2017, 07:52:41 AM
Whenever there are huge problems like a war or massive uncertainty. It will always be solid gold that will become valuable in my opinion.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or BCC or BTG on: October 16, 2017, 07:46:36 AM
It has to be BTC.

BCH and BCG will never take BTC's position. If a coin ever does it will be something completely different. It certainly will not be BTH or BTG.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about Bitcoin gold?? on: October 16, 2017, 07:41:21 AM
I personally think it will be just another useless coin.

That said however. The exchanges hold all the cards. If it gets listed on Bittrex etc. It will be speculated on and have a value.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: anyone else have ICO fatigue on: October 16, 2017, 07:38:31 AM
I understand how you feel. The truth of the matter however is that its only the start.

Still there are 80% of people who know nothing about ICO's or cryptocurrency.

It reminds me of the Internet in the late 1990's and early 2000's.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICO to end within a week as it reaches its hardcap? on: October 16, 2017, 07:36:31 AM
Hello all. I have registered for the Gladius ICO public sale starting the 1st of November.

It looks like something really amazing. I am concerned however as it looks like the ICO which has been planned for 4 weeks will be over in a few days because they would have reached their hardcap that quickly.

Is this just hype? Or have there been ICO's where this has happened before? I am not aware of any.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start an successful ico on: October 16, 2017, 07:31:54 AM
This is really helpful. I am sure most of us have considered starting an ICO. This gives a great insight.

Many thanks again
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to store big amount on Tether coin ? on: October 16, 2017, 07:21:03 AM
Good morning. Thether is an interesting token. As you kinow it is linked to the USD. Its a good coin to shelter yourself if all of the crypto coins are falling.

From expereince, I know that the registration of an individual with Tether itself is pretty much ignored. i think they are only looking for direct transactions back into a USD bank account in the hundreds of thousands.

Having 50K on any exchange for any coin is probably not a good idea.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 15, 2017, 05:09:44 AM
200 years ago there was a standard "rule of thumb". Rule of thumb is an English term meaning "common sense" accepted practice.

Its:
33.3% - Invest in Property
33.3% - invest in GOLD (MONEY or FIAT)
33.3% - invest in shares

I would class Bitcoin at the moments as "shares".

Oh - Rule of thumb comes from an old English law in that men were not allowed to beat their wives with a stick thicker than their thumb. LOL
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Industry Experts Believe Bitcoin Headed to $6,000 on: October 15, 2017, 05:05:48 AM
That is a really easy prediction to make. Ill make another....

By January 2018 Bitcoin will be trading at US$7500
