161  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PBmining - legit? on: June 27, 2014, 12:24:14 PM
Well, according to their website SaskPower which I guess is the power company in Saskatechewan is 11cents per kwh.  Which I'm assuming that is in Canadian money, so it's probably close to 10 cents in USD.  If they are far enough North they can also save a bundle on cooling costs.

Just a guess but are you quoting residential power cost? Industrial and commercial power is usually much, much cheaper.

If he was looking at the same sheet I was, that is for commercial.

if only 2Ghs i think never do mining by your self more better if you use cloud mining for mining
because for now 2 Ghs its very small if you compare with BTC diff now

Eh there isn't a cloud mining solution that has a compelling price these days.

Pick up a rockminer rbox for like $60. 30+ gh. Nice littl units

What is that miner, do you have a link to them ?

http://minersource.net/products/rockminer-r-box-32-37gh-s-bitcoin-miner

They can be found slightly cheaper but that's a reputable seller. I bought 3 from them. Working great.

Power consumption numbers:

1200Mhz - 120-130gh - ~115-120w on my killawatt
1100Mhz - 112 - 118GH - ~107W
1000Mhz - 98 - 109GH - 98W

Have not tested 800 yet.

Under 1w/gh. Not bad. Not bad at all!

what will be my monthly income if my device speed will be 1.5-2ghash/sec

$1.30 a month best case at today's price and difficulty.

The difficulty will go up, that's a given, which will lower the amount of BTC you'll earn over time.

The price, nobody knows exactly where the price is going.

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

1.5/2gh is a very very very small amount of mining power these days.

Wait, bobsag, weeks? Over the next few weeks? I thought you'd said all batch one orders would be sent out a few days after you got your shipment. I don't mean to be snippy or anything but I just want to know where my expectation should be.

Bottom line - my order no is between 1250 and 1300, batch 1. When should I expect shipment. Please and thank you.

Dude, im order number #12x .. Should you get your order before me just because you bought from MS ?

The details of your order are between you and BA. The details of mine are between me and MS. I think everyone should get their orders in the sequence in which they were ordered...

I was only asking what my expectations should be.

With our luck the last 24 or so hours it would feel like variance is trying to murder us though.   Undecided

I keep watching the blocks and muttering obscenities, but actually our 7 day luck is above average still. So no need to fret.

It is interesting that nibbknot was interested enough to look up my old posts though :-) I'm not sure if I should be honored or scared for my life.

Probably scared for my life is the prudent course of action.

My mistake. You moved from California to Colorado I guess. I was just using eBay to make the connection. That is how I found you now here... http://www.meetup.com/bitcoin-denver/members/110640/ And don't get me started on that Centernix crowd funding thing that you just happened to find but really it's you here... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=281216.0 Ain't it amazing how the biggest liars always seem to get their equipment first while others wait and wait and wait thanks to the company being kind enough to make sure it's working properly before shipping and if they do ship it's obsolete.

Dude - what are you even on about?
170  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] ProvASIC SHA256 ASIC on: June 24, 2014, 12:23:29 AM
125$ for 250ghash, i learned my preorder lesson when its on the market i may buy one.

+1

Looks promising, but, uhh, call me when it's shipping.

This is great news.

Also, if anyone is interested I'm making custom displays to fill the hole left by the missing LCDs.

Using state of the art Static Display Technology and a cellulose pulp substrate, these displays are guaranteed to be 100% accurate all the time while using zero energy whatsoever.

See Below.

But in all seriousness, I'm glad you got the shipment without much strife. Hoping to see a tracking number relatively soon.
Cheers.

So ready to hear from Bobsag today that all of the boxes have arrived safe and sound and that the testing is underway and they will be reshipped today overnight for delivery tomorrow!  That would seriously be almost better news than my now fiancee saying yes to my proposal last Friday Wink

Off topic, but congrats dude!

Has anyone found an efficient way of getting refunded at a more immediate pace. Im getting tired of waiting and getting a refund after shipping as they offer now is just unacceptable. Has anyone outside of China been refunded recently?

You need to file a report at http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx and hopefully enough people file as well to create a case for the DOJ/FBI. Otherwise, I don't think so.

Is this an American only thing or international?

Unfortunately, only for minersuorce orders or if you are in the US.

See,

"Q: Can I file a complaint if I have been victimized by an individual or company in the United States, but I am not a citizen of the United States?

If one of the two parties involved is located within the United States, please feel free to file a complaint."

If only I could file a complaint against you for wasting taxpayer resources with such a frivolous complaint. I know you said you ignored me, but for the benefit of everyone else.

1) you were offered a refund of the exact amount of dollars you paid.

2) you were offered to have the power supply shipped to you if you paid shipping.

3) You ordered a product that only said free shipping for customers who ordered an X1 or X3 through minersource, and when you were told you had to pay free shipping you threw a temper-tantrum and contacted the FBI and the FTC.

If that's the attitude you have - good luck with life, man. The hallmark of adulthood is taking responsibility for one's own decisions, and you seem to have failed to achieve that.

By the way, filing a false report to a federal agency, pursuant to title 31 of the United States Code, is punishable by a $10,000 fine. Here's hoping the system works.
174  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 21, 2014, 12:58:39 AM
Funny how the wording in part's of your post is just like that of the last email I received from Dan over at minersource  Wink.

Minersource committed fraud when they took people's money under false pretenses to perpetuate BA's scam. X3 units do not exist at present and I highly doubt anyone will receive compensation units for X3s or X1s. There will be more delays and problems with the PCBs. My bet is Blackarrow will be filing bankruptcy right after they ship a few X3s and before anyone receives a refund from them. Minersource is responsible for what they sell on their site. I don't want to hear any of this crap that it's BA fault. You decided to resell their non-existent equipment, no one forced you. I am in contact with Bitpay and the FTC. I will continue to pursue this to the fullest.

Well your buddies are refusing to give me a refund for the PSUs that they don't even possess and that were meant to solve a problem that they created. The compensation units are not real and will never ship. This is a scam. Minersource knowing or not participated in committing fraud.

They also offered to refund you the same amount of dollars you paid.

Also: They'll probably be late, and it will probably be far from enough compensation, but I bet the compensation units will actually ship.

Finally: Minersource in no way "created" any problem. They got the same promises from BA that we all did. And if they acted in good faith - and all evidence so far indicates that they did (I'm not extending that faith to BA, yet) then they were merely a victim of the fraud and not culpable as you suggest.

The fact that you are unwilling to take any semblance of culpability for the fact that you ordered a unit which says directly on the page "No free shipping for non-minersource orders" and are subsequently bitching about having to pay for shipping - you have personality problems my friend. No hate. But seriously?

Everybody else in this thread, including the employees of minersource, is frustrated with BA. Your problem is of YOUR OWN CREATION. It has been offered to be resolved for you for what I find to be fair terms and you reject them.

nobody even refused you a refund. they offered you a refund in equivalent USD but you want the BTC amount. If the exchange rate went the other way, you'd want the USD amount. Take what you can get. QED.

Do your thing bro. I honestly don't care I just think you're acting like a child.

"Funny" that my message sounds like minersource's? No. It's just logic. Apparently my decuction regarding the situation is accurate. I don't work for them I just buy from them and sure they pay a small bit for my signature but that obliges me not to do this. I've recieved a total of $30 from them and need a lot more to shill. I live in NYC not CO  FYI.

Also: I'm versed in the law, and the FTC and bitpay will likely laugh in your face.
Do your thing man I really don't care. Just trying to inject logic.

They told me different before I ordered. Besides, why are defending them so much? Do you really think how they are handling this situation is okay?

Update: Minersource contacted me and said that I need to pay another $30 for shipping or get a refund based on a reduced amount of BTC because the exchange rate has changed. They said they don't even have the PSUs in stock despite listing them on their website as "in stock" over a month ago. I filed a complaint with the FTC and I am waiting for a response from Minersource.  Roll Eyes

Anyone know which payment processing company they use, so I can contact them next?
Just get a refund i don't see the issue. Sure they said it was instock but we all knew that wasn't the case and they should have converted it to fiat instantly if they were waiting on their supplier but since you are doing a refund from BA just take the refund.

They accepted 0.8028BTC under false pretenses for a product they do not even have. Why should they make money off the volatility in the BTC exchange rate? I should receive back the BTC I sent.

They aren't making money. They converted your bitcoin directly to fiat and will now convert that fiat directly to bitcoin.

Furthermore - minersource doesn't differentiate between "In Stock" and "Pre Order" in their store. Pre order items that are available for purchase say "In stock".
Since they said "item ships for free with your current order" a reasonable person would assume these would get shipped when the miners get shipped. The x1 psus for instance are probably on their way with the miners.

Seriously - calm down. You're falling out of your dress.
I'm defending minersource because I think they're doing the best they can reasonably do and have gotten something of the shaft from BA just like the rest of us.

I've ordered like 90% of the hardware I'm currently using from them and they're alright.

Minersource uses Bitpay.

I thought this didn't sound like Minersource - and actually it looks like it was your mistake sir.

The PSU's minersource is selling specifically state "FOR COMPENSATION UNITS ONLY". They are for customers who bought miners from minersource and these are add-ons to that order. Asking for more shipping checks out because they would ship for free with your order, but you don't have an existing order from them, so they won't ship free.

I'm basing this on your previous post.

I didn't place the original order with Minersource! I ordered before minersource was an affiliate and will receive my orders directly from BA. The only reason I ordered the PSUs from them is they listed them as "in stock" and are based in the US.

What do you say bobsag3? Are you going to ship my PSUs or issue a refund?

So. Contacting the FTC seems like overkill, don't you think so? Also they offered you a refund. If you paid what is it, $99, they offered to refund you $99. To pay you back the same amount in BTC they'd have to spend more than you send them to refund them.

Getting the picture?

Maybe they can refund you in store credit?

I'd just accept the fact that there was a miscommunication and pay for the shipping. Perhaps minersource should have more clearly said they were ONLY for compensation units ordered from them but I for one thought that was reasonable to imply.

Update: I don't know if this is new but it clearly says on the product page "No free shipping if not ordered from us."

With the caveat that the 5 month delay is quite bad, and the sincere hope of at BARE MINIMUM 1:1 compensation...

At least there is finally clear evidence of mass production!
180  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: June 19, 2014, 11:42:45 PM
I had bailed on BTC guild during the whole block withholding thing (the luck was too bad to watch every day), but I came back amid the whole ghash/51%/doucheyness thing - and boy does it feel good to be back.

The variance might be a bit higher but it sorts itself out, and plus gives me something to root for haha.

Also, payouts are like minutes after reaching the threshhold.

Ghash doesn't tell you the pool luck and pays out on some random ass schedule and avoiding those two features is far and away well worth the 2%. Hell - not mining there is well worth the 2%.

TL;DR you run a hell of a pool my good man. Cheers.
