Which level of hashrate do you feel makes sense to solo-mine at the launch of a coin? Curious how you know when to switch to a pool?
I personally use to solo mine with 2.2kh but I am now at a little over 9. I like to solo and keep a close eye on difficulty to see how it rises. Just mine until you feel you might make more with a pool. Soloing is really luck for the most part. I have mined coins that gave me 0 for hours and I then move on, other times I'll get a lot of blocks all stacked up. Just try it and see how it works for you but remember when you join a pool try to find a p2pool. 2 cents

What is the going strategy for mining the very minute the launch takes place? Do people typically solo-mine at that launch, or join a pool? Will there be a countdown page giving us some advanced notice? And will Twitter tell us the minute that an exchange is ready for purchasing coins?
Solo mining at launch depends on your hash rate. I usually will solo mine for some time then hop on a p2pool if available.

Message from the bittrex devs Hi,
We're interested in launching DarkCoin on our exchange this weekend. I'm wondering if you'd be interested in a co-marketing opportunity with us.
I've seen a lot of exchanges collect bounties to offset the cost of launching a new coin and trade pair. We've got pretty high costs given the amount of redundancy we put into our systems but I'd like to propose a different model that would help drive users to our exchange and awareness of DRK.
I'd like you to commit a pool of coins for giveaways. Instead of giving it to us, we'd use it to draw interest in the new trade pair. We'd give a set of coins for certain activities: 1) signing up to the exchange 2) executing a trade 3) tweeting about the new trade pair
Should I setup a wallet and collection donations for this? EDIT: They have NO volume, nevermind. All these exchanges who have voting (mintpal, now cryptsy, etc) or who ask for money/coins to add your crypto to their site, they're simply exploiting the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Why would a developer have to pay an exchange who will make money with trades? Cause they created a shitcoin and are desperate for any occasion which will cause a rise in value. Exchanges know there are so many shitcoins so they know they can exploit the weak ones. Look at Cryptsy as far ago as yesterday. They saw the potential with coin votes from Mintpal and added it. And they're in NO hurry to add the coin, they're milking the competition for all it's worth. From the TOP10 coins in the votes on cryptsy.com/coinvotes they made 35.52 BTC , that's 22 555 $ , 22 thousand dollars for letting retards with worthless coins fight it out. Look at the top 2 for an example of utter garbage coins. Dark so far has not been pressured into paying anyone for anything, has slowly gained followers and is gaining momentum everyday. We're on almost all the biggest crypto exchanges by merit alone. BTC38 and BTER will come very soon and the timing will coincide with a few more betas and maybe a main release of Darksend. I'm glad the devs aren't paying their way up top , that would not be true to the real value offered by Darkcoin and they know it. We have a solid foundation and with every step forward, price is rising and recognition is rising as well. We'll said

One countdown says 8, other says 2. But isn't the minimum reward aprox 6 days from now?
Good point
|
|
|
Could you please show me a printout of all your credit card transactions?
No? Why not?
That's basically what you do with EVERY coin except Darkcoin.

Yeah, there was no premine, so there aren't a lot of coins held by either the dev or myself... But I just sent another 5 to the faucet to keep it open Thanks for donating.

R u a Team Member Bobs?
Hi derrause! Yes, After a fantastic multi-way Skype meeting last night and by unanimous decision Bobsurplus is now on-board and an official member of the Einsteinium Team!Welcome Sir! I have now added a list of the official team members in the OP. Moving forward as the team grows we will announce new members in the thread and they will be added (in the order they joined us) to the OP Thank you Einsteinium. It feels great to be part of this team and I truly look forward to many more skype calls and helping this coin blossom into the mature science funding coin that its supposed to be. Nice to see a coin that has this kind of structure. Thanks

Mazacoin will drop to 2000-3000 satoshi and after that a huge pump will begin. Be ready.
I am ready

been mining 4 days in a row for now and i have a very good feeling about this coin Yea me too since sat. I would normally just jump off after a few blocks but really like the coin so I am keeping my hashing here for a while.

The coin needs more progress if we expect it to gain interest.
Just my 2 cents

So what we should do now with MAZACOIN for those traders like me that are noobs? I sold 2k yesterday on a high and got 2k left so should I hold these 2k in case it goes up more like Aurora did? I know it may not go to 0.1 because there are more coins but if it hits 1 usd it will be nice or 0.001 btc. Is that possible you think? Also what other coins like this I should look out for? einsteinium +1 on einsteinium

I talked to the Lakota Country Times in SD and the secretary of the President of the Lakota Nation (just googled and called). Of the three people I spoke to none of them had heard of any plan for the Lakota Nation to formally adopt a crypto-currency. One of them had never even heard of crypto-currency. The paper asked for me to call again tomorrow because they were very busy going to press, and that they might have someone who could talk more with me then.
Can someone address why the Lakota would not know of their own currency?
Cross-posted.
Give me the phone number please,i will call them and ask them, and i will record the call so you guys can heard .
