Thanks for the feedback guys.  One thing I'd like people to think about is concentration on the faucet versus concentration on using the system.  If you like the technical aspects of the system, no transaction fees and speed, attention due to the faucet isn't a long term sustainable solution.

The only thing that sustains the system long term is developing bona-fide usefulness.  When people want to use the system because it solves their issues better and more cheaply than the alternatives, that's what'll make everything work long term.

how about closing faucet i think its causing more problems current amount of coins is ok

The point of continuing the faucet is so early discoverers aren't overly favored.  You're right though, even the current amount of xrb out there would be enough to probably last forever without needing something like a split.

you can see it as those that believed it early will reap the benefits and its not like your closing the faucet for trading reasons but genuinely because its affecting the real work. i would rather have you keep 1 million coins for development purposes and work on rai rather than spending months refixing the faucet again and again.

If nobody sell cheaper than $10 this would be it's value.
We should not set cheaper orders IMO

the value of lisk after launch will be zero. because you can't do anything useful with this coin.

you won't be able to use it as a currency.
and how will offer something useful that has to be payed with lisk?

Then the value of gold is shit, value of diamonds is shit.

no, both can be used for things and they are scarce. thats why they have a value.

Rune https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=106772 deleted its telegram account

He must give me 200K paid 1 BTC

When did you pay him 1BTC? If you've traded after May 2nd, you might've missed something.

I just checked his account and noticed a staff member has put a negative trust on his account with a comment "Account has been said to be compromised. Tagging till resolved."

If that's true, your money is in risk and it is with the hacker.

did you not see his trust rating

Lol. Are you talking to me or "kaselit"? (Since you've quoted my post.)

If you're talking to me, isn't that's what I wasn't talking about? The trust rating? -_-

no to kaselit

he was given negative rating for this reason so no one trades with him

only thing that has happened here is popularity

coin is very popular because its had a good faucet dev should close the faucet

this coin is built ground up if that dont warrant a high price i dont know what would.

172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 04, 2016, 03:51:43 PM
good roi would be at least 4x from ICO prices that's a lot of waiting

That is very easy since the value of lisk was around 18,000 satoshi or $0.075 US on March 21st  2016.

i think $40million pump but it will hover around $10m - $20m very difficult to predict with other coins launching nearly the same time could stay under $10m anybody's guess  i don't know but wish lisk good luck
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 04, 2016, 03:13:50 PM
You guys think it's possible to start a Kickstarter or crowdfunding to get funding to start a site like coinbase that's exclusively for Lisk? It would need to raise enough money for lawyers and filing fees, money transmitter etc for different states and countries. Idk I'm just throwing out ideas.

This is a great idea!

I would suggest that you wait until LISK is going for at least $10 per LISK before launching that kickstarter.
You would want the markets on your side when launching it.
We can use some more Coinbase alternatives to make it even better for everyone!
Competition breeds innovation!

do you really think lisk will reach 10$?  that could  be amazing ...
Ethereum peaked at $17 without any successful dapps.  Ethereum is very complicated to utilize.
watch this video of a business actually attempting to use a smart contract.
If it isn't efficient it will not be used by the masses outside of cryptocurrency much less inside of cryptocurrency.
Has anyone actually used a ethereum smart contract or Is Ethereum just vaporware and waiting for the big boom to come if it ever comes.
I personally have my doubts about ethereum once vitalik buterin sold 25% of his ethereum stack.  http://themerkle.com/ethereum-developer-vitalik-buterin-sold-25-of-his-coins/ Anything more than 5% is too much since he was the creator.
Especially when he had a salary of $137,000 https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/39fi0c/in_spirit_of_communication_update_requested_on/cs3muxb

you can go only so far without funding unless he is in mexico running from authorities then it's different remember eth fund lost alot of value due to btc falling so its logical he was short but eth is the hype for the moment i do think its overvalued it was a pump it has some big entities behind so im not expecting it to go downwards fast.

might do might not but not anytime soon ethereum has the media behind it lisk does not. there is hype around lisk but it will steadily grow we will need to weed out the dumpers

its not only about how easy it is to make dapps it is about how well javascript can do well with transactions, handling payments the front end is easy its the backend we are interested in. don't be too focused on dapps decentralized these days is just fad with the coins it needs to show how well it executes remember unless they are building fun apps. real world dapps is what we are building.

their war chest fund is huge lets see how they utilize it.

most of the thread is jargon but i somewhat agree to a few members about the launch timing is off as much as we love coding we techies dont have the most of money its the traders. we love innovating they  love trading. whatever happens dont let it blight lisk future if they play the cards right and it works out smoothly lisk will be great.

2016 is turning out to be a great of innovation we are all in this together to build a decentralized enviornment lets do it together
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [RaiBlocks] RaiBlocks trading thread on: May 04, 2016, 02:08:40 AM
I'm selling 86,785 MRAI @ 420 sats each. Trusted buyer only.
I think I will buy in that volume if it was priced abit lower at lets say 270satoshi since it still all seems to be up in the air right now:
-Faucet off
-Not listed on an exchange (not even yobit  Cheesy )
-devs are saying months not weeks now to get all it sorted out.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1381323.msg14743570#msg14743570

just to clear that up he hasn't said months or weeks, plus its just the faucet that is not going to open so no more coins coming out just what is available now can be traded

enjoy

my sell order has been cancelled
