Monero price is what it should be, we need cheap coins to get new people in. The focus should be on getting in new people, not the price at this time.

How many of you have introduced Monero to someone known?

Shapeshift has partnered with with purse.io to allow Amazon purchases to be made with BTC, XMR and more!

https://twitter.com/ShapeShift_io/status/593429838574260224

EDIT: Addition: PurseIO supports the following countries: UK, Germany, Japan, China, France, Italy, Spain, India & Canada (according to shapeshift twitter)

Noice, services like these are what make XMR and digital currencies more useful

Happy Birthday Monero

What a day, from just a bytecoin fork last year to a solid emergent hedge to BTC, we have come a long way gentlemen. Thanks to the exceptionally brilliant dev team and equally intelligent community. I find myself lucky to be involved in such a project. A true Laissez-faire

As a surprise, i received my physical Monero on this very day. One of the first batch of physical Monero ever created. Probably the first one in my country. Thanks Cryptonic Smiley

The staff should follow stricter guidelines for moderating posts. A lot of particular coin followers have become cult like and hostile to even a slight hint of criticism. They are contributing such quality posts to the altcoin section which is becoming worse than a cesspool

The current Monero rise is impressive. Baby steps

177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XMR vs DRK on: March 27, 2015, 08:28:49 PM
its crazy - the cheaper DRK is, the more secure the privacy tech because anyone can provide the resource to the network..... because thats the whole point of decentralization.........

The whole concept is flawed to the core. I have thought about it for lengths and the conclusion was that the only viable solution for anonymity right now is Cryptonote. Nothing comes close to the ease of the blockchain doing the whole work without fuss or uncertainties

Guys and respected devs, can we please stop with the dark talk? Its is nothing but a wastage of time imo. Crapcoins like dark come and go, do bitcoin devs waste time on them? Our community is in a different league. You guys are creating something that will be taught in universities as a milestone in crypto. Lets focus on creating another revolution, bigger than Bitcoin

Can we cool off posting in Darkcoin threads? It is nothing but beating dead horses. Fools cant be helped and its certainly getting us a bad name
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any bitcoin-turned-millionaires here? on: March 22, 2015, 05:05:34 AM
1 million will not buy you a very nice private island. You guys overestimate the term "millionaire". It's no longer what it was in 1950.

I find the term millionaire funny. In here, India, you can find most middle class families having properties worth several millions. You cant say looking at them how much money have they stashed away. Heck, i own agricultural land here worth a million US dollars. We dont find the term millionaire exciting much. The term has lost the value
1 million USD in India? Middle class?

1 million USD isn't a lot in New York or London or Paris or Tokyo. In India with several million? I highly doubt you can say they're middle class.

Rupees are used in India. 1 million rupees are worth only 61 BTC.

I am infact talking about US dollars
