164  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 7 NEW GAMES HAVE BEEN ADDED 🎰🎰🎰 on: June 23, 2017, 03:00:08 PM
Hey Guys,

SITE UPDATE 23 June

Today was a bit technical update.

Our Authorization platform was moved from Rails-code to Elixir.

Except the obvious 1000% speed improvements we are now able to move the rest codebase to Elixir. Which will profoundly increase speed, responsiveness, stability. But that's not all. This move allowed us to separate user accounts and secret-seed work from the rest codebase and we expect to join new developers soon who will work on the site without access to sensitive information.

And there's gonna be a real HUGE update soon. Smiley

Regards,
Alex

Odds are low, though, giving it a massive -EV.

1/1,000,000 chance of hitting JP
Min bet of 0.01 to win 1.2 BTC
Est. cost to win: 1,000,000*0.01=10,000BTC*0.01=100BTC to win 1.2 BTC=-98.8 BTC EV

Currently yes. The idea behind this change was to significantly increase the jackpot, say to 30-50 BTC. It was too easy to get one, so we raised the min bet. Now when someone will make a bet of 0.01 BTC and higher he has a real chance to win huge Jackpot. before this change it was EV+ to hunt the Jackpot.

Alex

Hey guys,

Sorry for the issues. Blockchain is getting too spammy, we already had 0.002BTC per kilo for the fees and covered them from our own pocket, but even this amount is not enough. Unfortunately I can not set dynamic fees for users as I'm traveling by work until 3rd of June, so I've just bumped fees to 0.003BTC per kilo. Also site fees have been bumped from 0.0002 to 0.0005. I hope that upcoming HF and SegWit will solve it.

PS: As soon as I get back we will add on-site exchange back Wink

Regards,
Alex.
168  Economy / Gambling / Re: IMPORTANT ★ Your password may have been stolen!!! on: May 25, 2017, 09:50:24 PM
Recently someone logged into my liqui account but thankfully I didn't had anything there. And I have quickly enabled 2fa in all of my other trading accounts, I suggest everyone to do the same and if possible do it also with your gambling accounts.

I got a few of these as well. I even posted this in the Bitcoin Discussion section of Bitcointalk and it got ignored.

Basically I have never used Bitsler, and I am getting unauthorized login attempts from somewhere. I am not worried because I use unique passwords for every site and always use 2FA and mostly cold storage my stuff.

However we need to learn where this leak came from, its not from Bitsler. It might be another BCT breach?

Not a BitDice Smiley We are standing strong. Also all our users are safe from such attack.

Regards,
Alex.

how long does it take to process a cashout? i've waited 3 days now for a manual one. there's no sign of it, 0 confirmations to my address. the xfer is also put as manual on your end so i cant even check to see if it has been sent at all/where it is coming from? no response via email either

Hey,

Sorry for the delay, been traveling and had no time to process cashouts. Has been sent, with small extra for the delay.

Alex.

Edgeless seems to be so far one of the best projects for gambling based on eth.

You can play in Provably Fair BlackJack and Dice on BitDice Casino Wink

Regards,
Alex.

- Edgeless is decentralized, while Bitdice is centralized.

- Edgeless has 0% house edge, while Bitdice has 1%.

I'd disagree. The fact that they've removed split\double doesn't make their BJ version 0% HE. I've also didn't find information on the rules. Like how many decks they have, it's affects HE. Also removing double also affect HE and not towards player Wink. I'm absolutely sure that it's not 0% HE.

Also random numbers from random.org can't be considered random, they are centralized towards random.org, means any employee of random.org can own their randomness.

On the other hand, our BJ HE is around 0.7% with our bonuses and rakeback it's as low as ~0.6%.

Alex.

Site is a scummy operation, my account magically doesn't work anymore and their "within 24 hours" support doesn't respond. Total scumbags, glad I only lost a little over .1 btc to these twats although I'd rather burn 5x that  amount to prevent these morons from getting any.

I'm not aware of any issues.

If you have sent an email or support request please resend it again to contact@bitdice.me.

Hey Guys,

SITE UPDATE 26 April

[NEW] Pie Chart under User Profile now shows all games, AFAIK gerasrocha4 is the most diversified gambler Wink

[FIX] Wager in Leaders now counts towards all bets, not only Dice.
[FIX] Investor charts now also reflects BJ data.
[FIX] Fixed night rain bug.

PS: We still have small discrepancy statistic bug for users' wager. We do not show slots' wager. This is purely visual bug as our caching system do not receive data from bets server.

As always Alex works all...night. The day he is working already! Cheesy
I just get to the site but i don't see any Pie Chart under my User Profile...Maybe i need to log-off and sign in again?

Click on some username in chat, or in bets tab Smiley If you have not refreshed site recently - you better do a hard refresh.

Alex.

like dejavu, profit down like last year and investor scared also divest

Nobody divested. Such volatility in profit is new normal for BitDice. Do not forget that we've added almost 500BTC in profits within last three month.

Alex, can we have a RoaMap about the planned updates ? or at least a To-Do list of what is yet to be made ?
I was nice to receive the newsletter, i though there wasn't, at least bitdice isn't as annoying as other sites.

I would like not to disclose, as there were several events when other services incorporated our ideas before us Smiley

I was about to ask the exact same thing.
When will there be more alt coins available to place bets with?
I know litecoin and doge are the others but some more variety would also be welcomed to make it a more crypto friendly casino experience for all. Smiley

I do not know about any good coins to be added atm.

PS: Congratz Ash with an astonishing 105BTC PROFIT!

Alex
179  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - GET YOUR CUT FROM DAILY TREASURE CHEST! on: April 12, 2017, 09:33:03 AM
did you also cut the kelly risk for investors? where are updates/notifications in regards to this? shouldnt this be something you update us on? i read you must give us 14 days notice

so investment have been capped to 3x Kelly now?
this change has not been communicated at all?
investors with a >3 investment should have been sent an email, this is very very unprofessional.

14 Days delay is only for change in commission and house edge.

We discussed lowering kelly in chat for about 3 month and majority of affected investors knew about this change in advance and agreed ( actually requested it ).

However you are right about notifying affected investors. I will send email for all affected users about this change, and promise to send such emails with next updates regarding lowering kelly ( target is to remove kelly from site and lower site risk to 0.5% but it will be done only if we can sustain high max profit. ).

Regards,
Alex.

[FIX] Wager and Profit stats across site.
