MintPal claims to have processed my Darkcoin withdrawal via "50c56a07b654862a8bf9b00955dfa27cdc91c4a1d01b02959f7c122bad143fdf" but I can't find any trace of that transaction. Any ideas? A withdrawal processed for another coin has already been received.
I just checked the log of one of my masternodes, your transaction was orphaned: grep orphan debug.log | grep 50c56a07b654 2014-10-16 17:29:55 stored orphan tx 50c56a07b654862a8bf9b00955dfa27cdc91c4a1d01b02959f7c122bad143fdf (mapsz 47)
They must update their wallet and send it again! That's why you shouldn't do transactions while a network gets updated. That's a problem for ALL crypto-currencies. That's a useful command Crowning. Where do you run that? Is the debog.log located under the linux profile somewhere? Can't find it doing a ls command... Any help appreciated! Cheers Walter The debug.log file is in the darkcoin-folder of your masternode or wallet. If you didn't configure something else, it's in /home/<your_username>/.darkcoin

about 8 hours to code and deploy the exploit.
Forget that exploid, I'm interested in how you managed to setup a ton of Masternodes in that time.
Or did you already have a botnet and therefore lots of IP addresses?

It seems to me like we have the same people defending increasing the current 20% MN payments and a much larger set of people against it. I have been a DRK supporter since early February and I haven't had this bad of a feeling about something Evan suggested since that airdrop idea he floated...
This! A crypto-currency is by design a self-regulating dynamic system with a LOT of variables. You can only change ONE variable and wait how the system adjusts to get an idea what it does or not does, never two or more. There's a reason why the Bitcoin developers are VERY resistant to introduce protocol changes. Darkcoin on the other hand changes a lot. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

What's stopping MN payment enforcement right now? Hasn't the new code been launched to orphan no compliant blocks? I know I read something awhile back that's said it would go into effect last Monday or did I missunderstand what was being said
Mo. Sep 22, 2014 + 3 weeks = Mo. Oct 13, 2014Earlier if 90% of the network has upgraded to RC5.

Our plan is to open a market that only accepts Darkcoin and only allows Darksend+. It means we will be the first market to be truly anonymous.
We will not sell anything criminal that is damaging to other people (no credit cards and no weapons).
We do not want to harm Darkcoin's reputation.
Even if this is not a scam it looks like... What do you plan to sell if not the illegal goods? Even the goods stay anonymous! They are send via DarkUPS+. Their delivery trucks don't have license plates.

to fix the coin bug. just go into the help>debug window> console> repairwallet
Works. All coins (minus about 5000 which got somehow lost in the process, but I can live with that) show up now under "Stake". The confirmed ones should also show up under "Balance" which they don't, though. UPDATE: i looked into the sync issue for you more. at block 86400, for some reason the wallet connections time out and the wallet must be restarted. that is confirmed. once restarted it doesnt have a problem continueing until it hits.... 96400 and does the same thing. so a restart is needed there too. actually that 96400 restart isnt confirmed. but after that i was able to sync to full without touching it, it just took a little while. i will see if i can locate that 86400 stop issue and speed up the speed at which it downloads blocks.
I needed more than that, the sync stop at the following heights: 86400 126900 136900 146900 161900 171900 174900 184900 184999 193966 194900 196900 200900 210900 225400 228413 (end of sync) 96400 did NOT cause a stop here...

What if we recognise that clones will be popping up, and instead of competing with them, we offer them a mixing service through the DRK master nodes?
All they have to do is pay xyz in fees - possibly 20% of their new coin distribution, which MN operators could sell in exchange for DRK (yes there are risks with zero value shitcoins). Or create a clone monthly $fee > BTC > DRK payment requirement?
I like the idea, but payment must be DRK only! If we support other currencies, they at least must support DRK by paying with it.

[...] for example 8 rounds of DS+, there's 2^8 users with an equal likelihood of owning the prior money (256 possible users). With 3 participants per join, there's 3^8 users (6561).
Is there an algorithm HOW many participants are involved in a join? Or statistics how many are are involved on average?

I just remembered that I have some RDD laying around (mined them back when RDD started) and migrated to the current v1.3.1.1-gd6a1106-beta wallet.
The wallet is encrypted and unlocked and says that it's staking and that I have to expect to earn a reward every 13 hours.
However, stake says always 0.00 RDD and I've received no rewards so far after 2 nights.
Does the wallet need to run continuously ALL the time for this?
Other POS wallets just catch up when you open them after a day or so...
even with 1m reddcoins you can barely mint new coins and yes you need to keep the online wallet open Had it open for 2 and a half day now, not a single coint minted. About 1.2m RDD in this wallet.

If he did die, its much more likely that it was from natural causes. Nope, from reading this forum!

As far as I know, BCX would be a decent Altcoin mod. I'm familiar with the controversies which happened, what like two years ago? I will say that BCX has been a longstanding member of the alt coin community, and while rather blunt in most cases, would know what they are doing.
Moderators normally (no idea if this forum is different) see email addresses and register/posting IPs of accounts. I would not like to see someone who openly admits to have access to large botnets having access to both. If there's the possibility to have moderator status _without_ access to the account's private information I'm fine with BCX....at least he's got the time to do it

I was wondering if there are any sites setup pretty much exactly like Hash where you can choose what coins you mine without changing CGminer. I liked the layout and stats they had but unfortunately that site is no linger available. Any suggestions?
Ask the owner if he's going to publish the source code for the currency switching, because that was the main advantage of that pool.

That's what the top level alt currencies forum is for, general discussion of altcoins.
Actually that was my very first thought, but I don't know if the forum software offers a comfortable way to move all those millions of existing threads there. Doing it "by hand" would be a tedious job. But the important point of course would be to disable follow-ups in the original forum.
|
|
|
Yes, I KNOW there's already a forum with the misleading name " Announcements (Altcoins)", but that one is mainly used for discussing announcements of altcoins, e.g. I'm pretty sure the 36068 postings about Darkcoin do not ALL have announcing content. Have 20 of those high-traffic-announcement threads and _real_ announcements will never show up anywhere near page one. My proposal, open for discussion of course, would be: - Announcements (Altcoins): only ONE posting per thread, no follow-ups allowed, with a moderator who closely watches abuse.
- Announcements (Discussion): renamed version of the currently existing one.
Thoughts?

And now we take this occasion to ask to all the community: which feature would you like to implement on EuropeCoin?
I follow (and mine of course) Darkcoin for a while now, and one feature people seem to want and most currencies can't deliver is transaction anonymity. When I look at the current demand for Darkcoin this looks like something worth to investigate.
