As long at is not banned in your country, yes it is. Because if the government treated it an illegal currency then they will confiscate it for sure and then you'll get in prison if you are very unlucky. So if that is the scenario, you better not tell anyone about it and the one you call a safehaven can put you to hell anytime. Or just get out of that country and enjoy earning in bitcoin.
same way if someone is in a country where bitcoin is banned, they can move to a country where bitcoin is legalized and continue earning in Bitcoin, because it's the best way to earn money. |

if bitcoin is the best safe haven currency, of course bitcoin is the best payment currency, if the government considers btcoin as a property. of course they are afraid that the paper currency will be replaced by crypto

They view BTC as an asset primarily and don't consider it as a currency just like majority of the investors in the cryptocurrency market which is a much better and safer option for them. We need to reverse this asap by driving adoption rates higher with time through regular developments. there isn't only one country and one government in the whole word to have a singular view about bitcoin. there are lots of countries and each have their own view. there are countries that view bitcoin as a currency as they should and there are others that see it as a commodity mostly for tax purposes and in most cases the governments are undecided but open to bitcoin and finally in rare cases we have total ban. isn't it wiered that China has 80% of bitcoin mining, yet they banned Bitcoin and their citizens would have to use VPN to purchase what their country mine themselves. It can be a tactical move to trick the world. Knowing how they've got this kinds of mentality, they've wanted to always in the safe side without noticing them with their real intentions, china's positions is still doubtful as they are speaking differently from what they've really acting, for sure they've something hidden behind. nice you understand the angle of reasoning they came up with, it's very rare to understand or to hold them responsible for any activity concerning Bitcoin. |

China doesn't have 80% of bitcoin mining, it is barely 20% and they have never banned bitcoin to force their citizens to use VPNs. they just closed exchanges that were doing illegal stuff such as money laundering. Are you saying China didn't ban Bitcoin? I don't think you are right neither. I have so many barrier from some of my Chinese client that can't pay with btc because it's banned in their country. Can you give us your source on the 80% claim? Also, just to make it clear for you in case you misunderstood this, not because a person is using Antpool(China based mining pool), it doesn't automatically mean that the miner is from China. Bitcoin has been confirmed as the best safe haven currency in the world with the following reasons.
1) If they is a military war, someone can easily move out of their respective country with Bitcoin. Cash, gold, silver is much harder to deal on.
2) The only one Currency not controlled by a government or bank.
3) I will have to ask a general question? Why many governments are classing Bitcoin as a property & not a Currency.
My advice is keep buying Bitcoin and don't look back. Also don't forget LTC.
