High-minded token collectors of good taste are currently experiencing what can only be described as "SHITCOIN Mania..."

Close to 300k SHITCOINs sold in the last 7 hours. Our last dispenser is down to 1.1M... Its been open for close to 2.5 years now! The remainder could sell out like shitty hotcakes. Then there's nothing between here and the shitty moon!!! !!1!~  Shocked

162  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources can join casino campaigns, it's a choice on: May 29, 2024, 03:36:00 PM
There's a few threads and posters on the Gambling board which/who are fun to read, but most of it is thoughtless, perfunctory, text-spun, ChatGPT garbage, so that section does not deserve a dedicated Merit Source. If the posts there were any good they'd be getting merits, but they're not, hence the lack of merits. Hope that clears things up for you.
163  Economy / Reputation / Re: To freebitco.in and their representative, TheQuin on: May 29, 2024, 03:24:33 PM
Feel like its time for someone whose been affected to open a flag on them. Just let us know when its been done and I'll suport it. Will probably red tag wetsuit and TheQuin as well.
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 29, 2024, 03:17:54 PM

Everyone who ever merited this account should think twice about what they are doing with their lives, and know I will never really respect you.

I mean I'll try, but it will be hard.
165  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: May 29, 2024, 02:54:12 PM
Actually, yes @BitcoinGirl.Club, you are DT1.
After all those years, you still don't know how DefaultTrust works. What part of strike through don't you get?
BitcoinGirl.Club: -5

To play devil's advocate, I would argue he actually still is on DT1 because he has the ability to vote for DT1 members on the DT1 level. Its just that since he is negative, his trust ratings don't matter, which is a worse fate than being on DT2.

He also appears in the Default Trust Breakdown, which still means something.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEL] Bells - Fast and fun! - Scrypt - Random Block Rewards - No Premine on: May 29, 2024, 02:47:57 PM
Hello I'm Beltoshi Nakamoto, just big fan of Bellscoin.

Hi Adam and/or Jake,

You guys should have just bought SHITCOIN. Its an actual memecoin (token) with actual provenance. I probably would have given you a decent deal. Then you could have pumped it and made money that way. I understand, it probably wouldn't have been as much money as your show with Bells made you. But it would have been based on a legitimate 2014 asset rather than a blockchain started in 2023.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi, AI, NFT & Gaming on Bitcoin is a scam? on: May 29, 2024, 02:31:11 AM
People who carry tokens in Bitcoin only have one goal, namely to steal Bitcoin from your pocket with the lure of a pump. Moreover, NFTs in Bitcoin are very, very careless if still believe in them.

I'm not defending Ordinals - never bought a single Ordinal, BRC20 or Rune and never plan to as most of it is garbage - but don't lump all Bitcoin NFTs into the same category. As long as there is a demand for Bitcoin, there will be a collector's market for "ancient" Bitcoin tokens & NFTs. These include iconic collections like Spells of Genesis and Rare Pepes. Ordinals BS will come & go, but there will always be a demand for these tokens by true collectors.
168  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI Spam Report Reference Thread on: May 29, 2024, 01:43:50 AM

For some reason, these posts haven't been deleted yet even though they are clearly AI. Let's add a few more.

Ten Hag cannot be compared to Tuchel because Tuchel already has a wealth of experience in various clubs as a manager, not only that, Tuchel has also been successful as a coach wherever he is. This indicates that Tuchel can be relied on to become a coach who can truly bring success to a team in the future. However, you need to remember that changing coaches is not an instant solution to all team problems. Even though Tuchel is more experienced, that doesn't mean changing coaches automatically brings success. Each coach has a different style and strategy, and of course this will take a very long time to make his team successful. Let's see how these two coaches develop in the future, and hopefully both can achieve the success they deserve for the team they lead in the future.

It's true, this season is indeed a big challenge for Napoli after their victory last season. Ending this season in the middle of the league certainly did not meet expectations, both for the players, management and supporters. This situation often triggers speculation about changing managers as an easy way to solve the problem. Although changing managers can be a solution, it is not the only way out. There are still many other factors that need to be considered, including player injuries, individual performance and overall team dynamics, these things must also be taken into account. Regarding the possible presence of Antonio Conte, this could indeed be a new impetus for the team. Conte is known for his brilliant tactical abilities and his reputation for turning teams into more competitive ones. If it is true that Napoli can bring in Conte, it will certainly be an interesting thing to follow.

The final match against Lecce tomorrow is also an important concern. Both teams do not have specific targets in the league and have experienced poor results recently. Your prediction regarding a low-tempo match is very reasonable considering the current conditions of both teams. However, football is always full of surprises, and we still hope that Napoli can show their best game in the closing match of the season.

The defeats experienced by Manchester United in these two matches were indeed a major blow for Manchester United to be able to recover and achieve victory, which shows that they are still able to provide a game that is brilliant enough to beat Newcastle in this match. Even though this victory is not enough to bring Manchester United through to European competition, at least this victory is a positive sign that this team still has the potential and ability to rise from adversity. Even though they failed to catch Tottenham's points, this victory could be an important asset for Manchester United to improve their performance for the remainder of this season and prepare themselves better for the upcoming competition.

Does this service have anything else, like TV channel wise..possibly a way to get rid of YT TV for me?

Its mainly grouped by leagues (NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL, NCAA, MMA, MLS, UEFA), and each one has a separate fee.

Apparently it also does have some TV network channels: 8 different ESPNs, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, MSNBC, USA, CW, PBS, TNT, TBS, and a few others I'm not familiar with. They seem to come with the purchase of a sports package.

I actually just found all this out right now, LOL. I had no idea I had access to all these TV channels! I tend to waste a lot of time on social media, Wikipedia, Netflix, and then doomscrolling through Crypto Twitter, so don't have much time for TV, lol.

I think MM news causes a pacifying type of groupthink. Its like designed to be placating and divisive at the same time, while subconsciously convincing people that being a cog is good. I find life more enjoyable after removing the political rancor from my brain. Not that's what TV is all about necessarily.

Too bad it doesn't also have an HBO option. I'd like to watch the last season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

170  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: May 27, 2024, 01:09:57 AM
using AI isn't the same as plagiarism and as far as I can tell still falls into a grey zone--at least for now.
I'd argue chatbot verbal diarrhea is plagiarism by definition.

I'm more along this line of thinking... AI spammers are taking a body of text they didn't write and copy/pasting it, presenting it in a manner that everyone is supposed to assume they wrote it. Its highly dishonest.

I've already seen claims against those companies for using data as input without permission (which is a copyright issue). They reproduce bits and pieces of other data without sharing the original source (which is a plagiarism issue).

Apparently Google's new AI search summary feature is unable to tell the The Onion is satire and believes everyone on Reddit is always telling the truth.

As with the other chatbot models, this can create real problems, especially when it comes to presenting nuanced & complex information that others may rely on. That's why it should be banned altogether. I suggest the forum adopt the same AI policy employed by Stack Overflow (which has been implemented for these very reasons):

171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: May 26, 2024, 02:22:01 PM
Millions of TPS that cost a fraction of cent vs 7 TPS that cost what $30 each?  What's not superior about it?  NFTs stored on chain?  The list is long.

C'mon man, you're not really trying to be reasonable here. You're ignoring valid concerns to regurgitate stale talking points.

- Priority fee for next block inclusion for a BTC transaction is currently under $1. Not a whole lot to ask to transact on the world's more popular, widely-adopted & secure cryptocurrency network.
- NFTs have been stored on-chain on Bitcoin since 2015; now more than ever b/c of ordinals inscriptions.

Not to mention you completely ignored the point that BSV transactions can be reversed & coin ownership can be reassigned at the whims of a central authority. That alone completely undermines the ethos of what Bitcoin is supposed to be about.

BSV has been and always will be a joke. You got conned by professional con artists. Once you accept this, you'll feel a newfound peace with things.
172  Economy / Reputation / Re: Talent or someone who is in a hurry without reading the others? on: May 26, 2024, 04:39:06 AM
Has all the hallmarks of an alt account, including their first post on the forum stating that they are "new"... Who does this?? Yeah, obviously you're new. Its your first post. The only reason people do things like that is in a lame attempt to get merits.

Stuff like this, which is most of this user's posts, is just awful:

To be rich is something that comes from understanding and the thinking if you don't have the capacity to think on what to make you to survive in life I don't think that you find yourself in the means of richness because I know very well not people who does not strategize well does not make a step of becoming rich so it is only people who are desperate and the whole knows how to strategies and the also been stinging are the people that make it in life.

It doesn't convey any sort of intelligible information, doesn't add anything to the discussion; its just gibberish. Sad that these kinds of accounts can get accepted to campaigns, regardless of how little they pay. Just blatant spam for the sake of advertising.

https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/COPA-v-Wright-Judgment.pdf

Last May 20, a British court issued a 230-page memorandum proving, with arguments and evidence, that all the allegations that CRAIG WRIGHT sought to promote over the past years were false in an attempt to prove that he was the designer of Bitcoin and the inventor of the name “Satoshi Nakamoto.” The case was presented by a group of specialized researchers, and the trial lasted five weeks before the court issued its final decision invalidating all of CRAIG’s claims, despite all the defense team’s attempts to prove them.

He's really gunning hard for that bitcoiner vote.
174  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: May 26, 2024, 03:45:45 AM

This is probably the most comprehensive document to detail Faketoshi's blunders yet. I feel compelled to read the whole thing but will have to settle for chunks at a time. Thanks for sharing this.

Here's some snippets where the judge explains why he concludes Faketoshi is not Satoshi, which are concise & hard to disagree with:

Quote
Satoshi would be most unlikely to have any real difficulty in proving he was Satoshi.
...
I do not believe that Satoshi would ever have resorted to forgery in his attempt to prove he was Satoshi.
...
the contemporaneous materials written by Satoshi, including the White Paper, the posts and his email exchanges with individuals, convey an impression of a calm, knowledgeable, collaborative, precise person with little or no arrogance, willing to acknowledge and implement ideas and suggestions from others who had shown an interest in Bitcoin.
...
due to his collaborative and non-confrontational nature, I consider it is most unlikely that Satoshi would ever have resorted to litigation against the Developers.

My hopium was blasted to smithereens.   I still think BSV is superior.

That's fine. However, you must concede that this take aged poorly:

Craig is going to win this COPA trial and there's going to be a lot of cope here.  Roll Eyes

BSV down 6% in a week when almost everything else is up.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi, AI, NFT & Gaming on Bitcoin is a scam? on: May 25, 2024, 04:52:20 AM
Tokens existed for years in this world and they have not had any kind of meaningful success so far. Their only purpose have always been to raise funds, scam people and/or be used for pump and dumps. They have served no other purpose in the real world. So we can't really imagine any success for them in the future either, regardless of where they are built.

I still don't understand your dedicated persistence when it comes to miseducating people about Bitcoin tokens. Its like you're trying to force your opinion on people with less knowledge by simply ignoring certain realities, which you assuredly must be aware of by now.

Aside from Tether (USDT) - which began on the Bitcoin blockchain - there has been a thriving ecosystem for Bitcoin tokens for years. In addition to vehicles for fundraisers, they've acted as redeemables, collectables, and for website access gating.

Its not even a matter of opinion. You're just wrong.

It is AI but you changed it to make less sense.

Thanks for the sleuthing.  I can never tell if it's AI generated or not and I still haven't learned to read every new post before meriting.  It's a hard habit to break.

For me, the giveaway was the "There can be many reasons..." part. Variations of it are a common expression for ChatGPT:

There can be many reasons why you may suffer repeated losses after investing in bitcoin. All of them have some common problems that can be avoided.
1. Always keep your invested money separate from your required money. So that you don't have any problem in real life to hold Bitcoin for a long time.
2. Don't be too excited to invest. Invest by understanding the market conditions. Always try to buy low and sell high.
3. Gradually increase the amount of money you invest. Take care so that you don't have problems in real life.
4. If you are new to investing, take the help of a knowledgeable person.

(coincidentally this account was also a WO merit ho)

I try not to merit any account posting here that isn't already a Legendary, with a couple of exceptions.

I'm eating Bitcoin pizza day leftovers.  Why does pizza always taste better the next day?

There can be many reasons for the pizza to taste better the next day, such as: blah blah......

Well good effort dude, but to be brutally honest, the chatty AI dude's blah blah blah reply was slightly more interesting.

Buddy it’s not AI Cheesy

I'm eating Bitcoin pizza day leftovers.  Why does pizza always taste better the next day?

There can be many reasons for the pizza to taste better the next day, such as: If you eat hot pizza while making the pizza, the taste changes a lot. As I do, many times I put the food in the fridge and it turns out to be very cold and watery and it tastes great. Thus, if you keep the leftover pizza in the fridge after eating it and eat it the next day, the taste will increase because the pizza has a lot of ingredients in it, they will get more time in the fridge to mix and blend nicely. So it is very pleasant to eat. But everyone likes to eat the way they are used to eating. I also love to eat food the fridge.

Not that this is a shitpost per se, and no offense to the poster as we all make typos/misspellings, but this could be taken from a forum for breakfast chefs, addressing a user who was warned to stop putting shredded cheese on his waffles.

If he's breaking too many rules, a Parma ban might be the solution but what stops him from creating another account and starting waffling again?

@fillippone how do you feel about this? Culinary masterpiece or brazen abuse of parmesan?
179  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: May 23, 2024, 02:34:58 AM
Maybe we should ask the expert   Grin

Should a bitcoin forum allow AI posting?

ChatGPT

Allowing AI posting on a Bitcoin forum can have both benefits and drawbacks. Here are some considerations:
...

What you did is actually the correct way to use AI on the forum:

You announced that you were using AI, named the source, and then proceeded to post the material. Ideally, the ChatGPT (which I think is used by 95% of AI spammers on the forum) portion should also be in quotes, italics, or another color, but close enough.

and the mods dgaf.

Not true. The majority of posts I reported as "AI spam" have been deleted.

oof i wasn't really expecting a reply but ok.
damn this place is so serious.
next time i'll add ten smileys to avoid confusion

Or if you have nothing meaningful to say, perhaps just don't post at all...

What y'all so mad for.

Approximately $700,000,000 for 2 pizzas

Fuck

When history is being made, the only right choice is Papa John's  Wink

Still, $40 for 2 pizzas is too much, especially 14 years ago.

10,000... Thats quite a bit.. you could sell those on https://www.bitcoinmarket.com/ for $41USD right now..
good luck on getting your free pizza.

He overpaid for the pizzas even back then. However, he is a legend now.

Actually it raises an interesting question: Would you rather have $700M now or be remembered forever?
