162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 01, 2023, 04:48:05 AM
Another star player from Europe joined their league which is continuing to grow last few months since World Cup 2022 ending.

Quote
Fabinho officially become ittihad's player starting from now. Im very glad to see him decide to join in al ittihad instead of stay in liverpool. He has been picking the right choice by leaving from liverpool to join al ittihad. Fabinho gonna be in the same team with kante and benzema.
Fabinho and Kante will provide very good defensive power for Al Itihad as they are very good defensive midfielders. Fabinho can play as a central defender if the club has emergent need for that position, he can play temporarily at that position like he did many times in Liverpool.

Quote
Ittihad has been winning SPL last season, iyt's now the time for this club to dominate the league for the upcoming seasons. Kante and benzema will become good team mates for him. I think fabinho gonna adapt easily in ittihad.
They are the champions of the league and will protect the title in a new season. With their finished transfers so far, Benzema, Kante, Fabinho, they are going ahead of Al Nassr. With Kante and Fabinho, Al Itihad have better balance than Al Nassr that seems to focus too much on attacking with Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. Anyway, these clubs will still be strongest candidates for the trophy in a coming season in Saudi Arabia.

The last post in LocalCoinSwap Announcement thread is in 2019 and LocalCoinSwap's last active time is in 2020. They left the forum 3 years ago and it's impossible for OP to contact them in forum.

Quote
The second: the LocalCoinSwap Exchange campaign, once run by: @Murat, in 2018, I believe he, to say the least knows how the LocalCoinSwap exchange functions.
It is good information but between 2018 to 2023 is 5 years that are long enough for many changes on LocalCoinSwap. Murat even forgot what he experienced with LocalCoinSwap exchange in 2018 when he run the bounty for them. I believe within 5 years, LocalCoinSwap exchange had many upgrades on their platform and Murat did not follow it up over these years.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 01, 2023, 04:30:54 AM
Pls not all cryptocurrency has the potential  for one to adopt so you need to be specific  and use the word bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a biggest cryptocurrency but it is not the only cryptocurrency so I see it is fine to discuss about cryptocurrency adoption generally. Bitcoin needs altcoins too even many altcoins are scam. The cryptocurrency market should not have only Bitcoin and altcoins are necessary for the market.

Quote
My reasons for adoption of bitcoin is that.

1. It gives financial freedom and can be used across boarders without a third party.
People will have control of their bitcoin if they use non custodial wallets. If they use custodial wallets from like exchanges, gambling sites, they will not control their bitcoin.

No control, no chance to have financial freedom because they can lose their bitcoin, capital anytime.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

Quote
2. I also use it as an investment and a store of value. As an investment, you will see it that bitcoin is the most valuable investment that one can make a good profit from, if you can hodli you bitcoin for a long term. For store of value, because fiat is depreciating in value daily due to inflation but bitcoin is inflation resistance.
Consider Bitcoin as an investment asset and as a store of value is the same. You should not invest in Bitcoin if you see it is not a store of value. Bitcoin itself is inflationary because new bitcoins will appear with each new Bitcoin block.

There are already 19,444,675 BTC mined by miners and already exist in Bitcoin circulating supply.

The curve starts to be flattened out and not many bitcoin will be mined from new blocks in future.
Quote
3. Bitcoin is the future gold because soon people that have bitcoin will be the richest or most wealthy people in the world as long as they only keep on accumulating their bitcoin.
Not all people who have bitcoin can become rich, millionaires or billionaires. It depends on how many bitcoins they have.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The beauty of Bitcoin is in use case. on: July 31, 2023, 10:42:22 AM
The beauty of Bitcoin lies not only in its use case as a decentralized digital currency but also in its potential for global transactions. Being able to send Bitcoin worldwide as a payment method, similar to how we send money through the banking system, opens up new possibilities for cross-border transactions and financial inclusion. Additionally, businesses accepting Bitcoin as a payment method can also contribute to its widespread adoption and utility.
Bitcoin can be used borderless and you can send it to a receiving address and don't have to care where is the owner of that address is living at. Having bitcoin, using good fee and your transaction will be confirmed by miners and will be transacted to the receiver.

It is globally transactable and its transactions are irreversible so you will have never be charged back. When you or any receiver get bitcoin from a confirmed transaction, it is done. You have bitcoin and it is safe in your wallet.

Bitcoin transactions are not seamlessly, not perfect if you use low fee rate but irreversible, no censorship are very good for safe transactions.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 30, 2023, 04:19:22 AM
You could see that a striker has been one of Manchester United's top priorities this summer having strengthened in midfielder and goalkeeper after signing Mason Mount and Andre Onana respectively. I think with the frequent injuries struggles to Martial, Ten Hag has always wanted a new forward to bolster his attack and indicated this week that the club is close to securing one, and they have gotten a good striker that has high ceiling. I trust Ten Hag to bring out the monster in him and make him a proper striker.
A good striker is important for Manchester United but it is not their priority. They already have Rashford who scored many goals for them in the past season.

Hojlund has yet been verified enough at top level and spending $83M to buy him is ridiculous. I don't know how he will perform for Manchester United but from his past record and the transfer cost, it is not a wise transfer for Manchester United.

They should spend a few more money to buy a better striker like Osimhen who shown his ability in Champions League, not like Hojlund. Spending $83M like a gamble is very bad decision from Manchester United.

Plagiarism is a very big crime in the forum
It is not tolerated in tue forum but it is not a crime. Crime is too serious and Plagiarism is not a kind of serious crime.

You plagiarised and your posts are reported, you consequently will be banned.
33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.[e]

Do we have any direct guideline of how to use chat gpt in the forum is if its totally illegal to use in this forum? Chat Gpt can be used to find data and source faster. You just needs to verify those data before using it. But my question is there any specific rules about chat GPT into these forum?
Rules are enough. You need source links to not be banned.

If you use content from ChatGPT but don't verify its quality, your posts will be deleted or moved to Offtopic.
Using content from ChatGPT is to get posts, and I can not feel sympathetic with those posters who are lazy and can not contribute good posts to help forum members.
168  Other / Archival / Re: FedNow - Instant payment service developed by the Federal Reserve on: July 28, 2023, 10:25:11 AM
Maybe things are different in US but banks have always offered "instant money transfer" from one account to another as far as I had a bank account. So this doesn't seem to be a new thing not to mention that this is super centralized which means it is not even on-topic to talk about it in a bitcoin forum let alone be a threat to bitcoin Cheesy

P.S. Lets not forget about the reversibility of such "instant transfers" in the centralized world.
Do they actually transfer any money from one bank account to another account in a same bank system and external bank system?

What they transfer is a number which has no value. Surely they can do it instantly but if their bank collapses, the number of money we have in a bank account has no value and becomes useless.

CBDCs are not a threat to Bitcoin because it still has the same characteristics as cash, which is peer-to-peer payment, but in a digital form with complete centralization, the possibility of knowing your balance, the possibility of freezing your funds and a lot of things that may make a pass to become an alternative to cash very difficult in democratic countries. if there is success in launching such currencies, there will be a logical reason for using Bitcoin, but I do not expect that to happen during the next few years.
Agree with you.

Why people always see threats, enemies but I see bank transfers, CBDC transfer, Bitcoin transactions will be used in a society. Bitcoin is not a threat for fiat currencies, CBDCs or bank system. Banks, CBDCs are not threats of Bitcoin.

When they see others as threats, enemies, they will have bad responses with each other.

The more businesses begin to integrate crypto payment in their daily  activities, the more we see real progress regarding the entire concept.

As of today, over 60,000 electric vehicle charging stations now accept Bitcoin across Europe
Not all of them are already installed and operating and will they all legally now and in future. I guess they will be like Bitcoin ATMs that grow fast and latest months. They only accept Bitcoin on Lightning Network and I hope they will accept Bitcoin on mainchain too.

They should have options for their users but they will have to install two different softwares, on chain and Lightning Network.

Just as the tittle implies, please have anyone ever used localcoinswap?
I tried using it and first had to join their telegram group on their site but I got a guy wanting me to validate my address and I wasn't ok with the process so I had to bring it to my community  over here and I want to know if its easy to simply buy usdt(trc20) from them.and send it to a different  whether without having to validate the wallet?
I used some peer to peer trading platforms and they always do all things on their websites or mobile applications. Like you want to ping your trade partner, use the platform chat box. If you want to communicate with the platform moderator for disputes, supports, use their chat box. Each platform will have a special verified badge for their moderators. Such badge is to avoid impersonators who are scammers and will try to scam users.

Validate your address through a telegram group, it sounds not right. Did you visit an official site of Localcoinswap?

Bitcointalk is for texting discussion so think about typing on mobile which is not friendly and uncomfortable. If you can use it on a web browser, do you actually need it on mobile and seriously do you need to install an application to use it, just typing.

Many questions and a mobile app will not be deployed with SMF forum software.

172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bitcoin obsessed university lecturer. on: July 27, 2023, 11:58:00 AM
I read an article about an opinion of a university lecturer who believed bitcoin can be used to propagate critical thinking and study culture in students, spending the needed time on their academic work and assignments engagement.
Changing yourself and having better crticial thinking with Bitcoin, it is an amplification from him to impress his students?

I disagree about these critical points in his lecture. His students must understand Bitcoin basics, explore to use it and should not be taught about Bitcoin as a digital from cryptography that can do everything.

It is a lie and not true and his students should not be taught like this because they will teach others around them like brothers, sisters, parents, relatives, friends, neighbors.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 27, 2023, 11:41:10 AM
If Mbappe had extended his contract with PSG, he would not have damaged his relationship with PSG. If the contract is extended for another year and Mbappe wants to move to Real Madrid next season, PSG will accept the transfer fee from Mbappe, which will make his plan useless. If he wanted to pay the transfer fee to PSG, he would have joined Real Madrid this season. Since he does not want to pay the transfer fee to PSG, it is believed that his contract with PSG may not be renewed.

I also think that people think the same as me, what does Mbappe really want to do so that he doesn't want to extend his contract with PSG and his contract will end next season so that makes PSG feel worried about feeling a loss if Mbappe leaves with free agency, that's why PSG is trying to bench Mbappe but it doesn't look like that will sway Mbappe's decision.
Why did Mbappe announce his plan very early for PSG? Is there any term in a contract that he has to tell PSG whether he signs a new contract with them or not in this summer and when?

If there is no such term in the current contract, Mbappe's early announcement is suspicious that he planed something with that announcement.

Quote
Mbappe's attitude makes many people wonder where he will go next, people always associate him with Madrid, but if there is another club he is aiming for besides Madrid, of course it will be a surprise to everyone where people expect Mbappe to go to Madrid but it turns out to be another club. apart from madrid. but from here people continue to speculate that he will move to Madrid and replace Benzema, I always wait for news about Mbappe. I think Mbappe's relationship with PSG is getting a lot of attention in the media nowadays.
I don't question where he will go next after his contract with PSG expires. It's Real Madrid but because of PSG pressure and warning that they will not use Mbappe if he won't sign a new contract, and with very big offer from Ah Ahli, Mbappe has another good option to consider.

Now the question is not where he will play one season after the coming one, it is surely Real Madrid, but the question is will he accept the offer from Saudi Arabia after 31 August? Because PSG will not increase salary and repeat their past fault, Mbappe will only have Ah Ahli to choose if he wants to play in coming months.

As a member of the forum and you're not growing in knowledge of the main purpose for which the forum was created for then it's a waste of time and energy for you.  The forum is not just about earnings so if your growth in the forum is focused in ranks you are basically not growing.
Without knowledge and good posts, you can not rank up.

If you rank up with your good posts, you deserve to be hired by campaign managers and companies because your good posts will help their advertisement through signature better.

Knowledge, rank and income exist and grow together and you will have better income when your rank is higher. Ranking up when your brain is empty is impossible and even you rank up without knowledge, managers will not hire you when checking your posts and see only no quality posts.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reality of 51% Power attack by the BlackRock - A pure nonsense Fud on: July 27, 2023, 10:29:56 AM
In simple they were saying that Black Rock can make a 51% attack on Bitcoin by accumulating more than 51% of Bitcoin or by Owning the 51% share of Hash Power. Is Black Rock able to do this?
Black Rock is applying for a first approved Bitcoin Spot ETF. They did not announce that they will buy ASICs (Bitcoin mining rigs) or buy hashrates to have enough 51% of Bitcoin network hashrate.

How did people interpret a Bitcoin Spot ETF to a risk of 51% attack?

Black Rock will not do this because when 51% attack occurs, all people who own bitcoin will be hurt and even attackers like Black Rock won't get any benefit so they don't have reason to do 51% attack.

Owning 51% of network hashrate is different than owning 51% of Bitcoin circulating supply or total supply, they need 51% hashrate.
176  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scanning barcode to make payment on: July 25, 2023, 03:13:23 AM
The main problem is that QR codes are difficult to distinguish genuine from fake by the human eye.
This is my worry too.

I also worry about risk with QR codes when I use them as my back ups for activation codes in Two Factor Authentication applications. If I write down the activation code, one or few characters are blurry by water, fire or whatever, I will feel like I still have chance to recover it. With QR codes, I feel it is hopelessly and like no chance.

QR codes provide convenience and save time so people love those codes and I agree with you that we can not use human eyes to check QR codes like with public addresses.
177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: July 24, 2023, 11:45:06 AM
Investment and trading books, articles and videos are made by people who might not actually be winning traders. They make their money by writing "investment materials" and sell it to us, the plebs.
They can be lecturers at universities, can be professors and have deep knowledge about trading but if they trade, they might not be winners. Between theory and reality, practice are very different and they can not trade successfully if they only apply knowledge but can not control their emotion.

Books if don't have advice about investment is safer than trading, are not worth to read.

Quote
Plus "as traders", most of you will lose money and leave. Some of you might return and lose more money. Some might have learned their lesson the hard way and just HODL Bitcoin. The few who actually put in the most time, effort and who are well-capitalized might make it.
If traders buy books, authors receive money and it's good for them. If traders register their accounts by referral links from their trading teachers, signal group owners, those guys will get money from referral money.

Traders lose or win, who care?

I new this deal will work, Henderson can not resist such offer, beside he will be working under his former teammate Gerrard steven, this is a good news to the Saudi Arabia league, more players are coming in so fast, and the leageu is as popular now than some leagues. Next season, will be interesting to watch the league.
Henderson is old enough and even he is a captain of Liverpool, his position will be taken over by younger players. Two big titles with one Premier League and one Champions League with Liverpool are enough for his career. He is already a legend in Anfield and he can leave Liverpool to join Saudi Professional League without many regret of unfinished things there. He completed dream of many Liverpool fans and many generations of Liverpool players including Steven Gerrad.

Quote
Yesterday, Telles Alex agreed a deal from Manchester united to Alnassr club. The league is growing so fast.
Alex Telles is at a lower quality level than Henderson but he will help the league to grow in quality.
