Warm fuzzies.

I am a muslim Arab born and raised in Mecca. Married to a Buddhist. I would know if adopting the swastika as an avatar was offensive and I know what he wrote and the way he wrote it is damn offensive and stereotyping.

Lets not dwell in this anymore in this thread. The guy was a jerk please don't defend him. Thanks for understanding.
this symbol is indeed pretty sensitive in some western countries.

Like what was posted a minute ago. Not tilted, other direction. Ancient symbol with a beautiful meaning. About time people learn real history.

Sorry I thought WW2 was considered real history.   Roll Eyes

A MADMAN chose a symbol that existed LONG before his birth. He corrupted that symbol and used it as a symbol of terror.
165  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 18, 2013, 12:29:11 AM
yeah I find the swastika offensive.  I also found the Muslim  'jokes'   offensive.  I have no room for  that nasty stuff on this thread.

The meaning of this symbol was corrupted by a madman.

The word "swastika" comes from the Sanskrit svastika - "su" (meaning "good" or "auspicious") combined with "asti" (meaning "it is"), along with the diminutive suffix "ka." The swastika literally means "it is good."

You must be jealous.
Why don't you take your self-righteousness, and go blow off, ya wanker.

With respect, you identify yourself as a reporter, but have failed to do the most basic research into the subject of your possible story, and have expressed a disdain for doing "mundane" matters pertaining to the execution of your job, such as clicking a link on a website.

Pishaaaw! Yer right! He's ALSO lazy! I only posted what I posted due to jealousy(or so I'm told), but now...NOW I'm seeing things in a whole new light. Thanks Xian. Cheesy

Andy is the ballistics expert called to the stand to testify as an expert, but immediately asks council which end of a gun you shoot with. Incredibly...not. Credible.

There seems to be a very worrying development with BFL in that in order to stop forced refunds, they're shipping out of order to people who raise chargeback requests.

To date I've seen 3; a February 2013, a March 2013 & an April 2013 orders all 'shipped' then the person raised the complaint to Paypal.

Source for those three?

Not doing the homework for you on this. It's. happening. There's hard evidence posted here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=150803.4160

...on reddit, on bfl's forums(likely deleted) as North Korea hates publicity.

While mule's post was perhaps unnecessarily harsh...so is your response and your queries are offering nothing to indicate even a speck of competence.

Ignored.

don't you get it. it's not about what the price will do in the next 1, 24hr etc it's about if it's ok for them to be LYING and covering shit up. if you think this kind of behavior is ok than by all means keep buying. don't be surprised though if you'll be holding an empty sack or a poor sap you sold your shares to will be. they really need honesty and trust from the community. they have yet to earn it.

+1

super duh.

IC, I didn't get that from the quoted comment. In that case I vote we sell our bfl hardware first. Despite the fact that it's roughly 2x as efficient as our Avalon gear it's 10x the hassle to maintain and is guaranteed to be non-upgradeable.
171  Other / Archival / Re: btt on: September 17, 2013, 09:53:17 PM
May I add to the motion that priority of selling goes to shareholders?

Depends how creativex plans to sell it. If at auction, I vote no for this addition, it will restrict the price we can achieve.

Hi Caesium. I intend to sell in a manner in which we'll not be obligated to sell at a price that is unfavorable to shareholders of bASIC-Mining. There's no hurry to sell equipment that is still producing, I simply feel it's best to avoid the steepest portion of the depreciation curve. Though I'm not pleased with the prospect of investing significant time on listing, packing, and shipping our gen 1 gear, I feel it's in our best interest to do so if we can realize compensation greater than what we can expect by mining this same hardware in the coming months. An auction format would only be considered if a reserve price were set in advance that was higher than the equivalent hashrate cost of gen 2 equipment. For example Avalons would not be sold below 4.13BTC/module currently. Doing so would not be in the best interests of shareholders.

Cheers.

Hi almwaysa, your comment was somewhat unclear to me. Did you mean to suggest that bASIC-Mining should give first right of refusal to purchase this hardware to shareholders?

2 unused windows 7 pro keys for .28btc. Where shall I send payment and how shall I expect to receive my product?

Great post VE, doubtless that'll do wonders to further the feeling of helplessness ActM shareholders are experiencing.
175  Other / Archival / Re: btt on: September 17, 2013, 07:19:15 PM
I also agree this motion would be a wise move for bASIC especially considering the BitFury fueled network increase we have already witnessed.

You guys catch the latest KnC update? Expecting more than 400 gh/s per Jupiter is exciting news. I hope they can tackle the assembly of unit and soldering or chips in the coming weeks.

I've seen this as well as an update on the status of their chips. Pending end user results for their finished products, knc for November delivery may be an attractive option.

Cheers.

Very sensible, as ever. When is the motion going up?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll get the motion up for voting today.

Cheers.

Did IceDrill subscribe to this program?

Nope.

I am up for this, but is it already necessary? I thought that Avalons are profitable (energy wise) until difficulty around 3-7 billion.

Hi JimiQ84. While you're correct that our Avalons will remain profitable for some while yet, I believe selling them before there's a huge influx of gen 2 gear and applying the proceeds to newer gear could prove more beneficial to shareholders in the long run.

Consider that one 3 module Avalon hashes at approximately 80Gh/s. This is approximately 20% of the hashrate of a bitfury 400Gh/s kit. The current cost of the bitfury kit is just under 62BTC. 62BTC * .2 = 12.4BTC or 4.13BTC/Avalon module. I believe if we can sell our Avalons at a price = or > 4.13 per module we'll improve our long term prospects. This situation exists due to the coming pricing pressure facing hardware vendors.

Cheers.

...so why claim 80 at all? Isn't this 125% of your current best result?

Because he can and because that attracts more customers and i quote cryptx:

The same person also posted this:

The typo of the initial contract is corrected in the motion.

I didn't find that credible either.
