Having a very quick look at your post history and it seems like you have been looking for a loan for quite some time now and reducing the amount each time you are not successful, you started at 1btc, did you get other investors?
I'll be honest I don't actually remember that! Was it last year? I haven't been to active recently due to university and such. I did actually manage to get funding for a few projects previously.

This user's password was reset recently.
This user changed his/her password recently.
I don't claim to know much about the workings of the forum but I've seen that this generally means an old account was hacked and is now getting sold or as user Quickseller said, the user just wants quick cash from what remains of his resources
Its stated in the subject that he can sign a message from an old address he posted on the forum. This is correct, I can probably sign multiple addresses if it makes the lender more comfortable, I'll just need to dig through my files for a bit ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

In other words you are interested in selling this account.
Wouldn't this account be worth a bit more than that anyways? And no I'm dead set on getting this account back, I've got money coming in but it's a week or two away and I want to have fun tonight[b/] ahah
Oh, what are you planning on doing with the BTC that you receive from your loan tonight? I don't know about you mate but it's Friday night here.... That is cool. On a Friday night, what do you plan on doing with ~$85 worth of bitcoin, if you were to receive bitcoin now? Put it through local bitcoins and have a good night? I don't know why your so skeptical honestly, this account is 4 years old and I've had plenty more than 0.125 loaned to me before I think. Also I'm not American so that $85 probably goes a lot further for me than it would over there.

Change port to 29194, e.g 127.0.0.1:29194 and see if that works.
Also try just having this as your config;
server=1 rpcuser=USER rpcpassword=PASSWORD rpcport=29194
I tried this and got the same error as before.

How would you feel about 0.1 right now? (It's a little low but it's all I got right now)

I agree, I think this coin looks pretty promising. I might buy some when it comes out.

Ok, so I am looking for a loan of 0.4 BTC and am putting my account and an address associated with from 2+ years ago. The reason I believe I should be able to get this is that my account is around 1 week away from hero status and that with the address should be worth well over 0.4 BTC. Can anyone do this? Duration: 1 month Rate: hoping for around 10% max.
I can lend you up to 0.35 BTC with your account as collateral. Return would be 0.39 after 1 month. Let me know if that helps. Alright, I think I can do that. I will PM you in a minute.

I think spending coins, mining them and running a node are all great ways to support a coin.

Are you interested in working on your own altcoin? I am working on a new altcoin with a team of other developers and we are looking for some certain people to help us make this coin a reality. We currently need: Web designer Pool Operator Investors (to be repaid + interest or a stake in the coin) Please Pm me if anyone can fill any of these! More info to be provided over PM's.
Why do you want to use a new Coin when you could work with an existing Coin? or do open source projects that many Coins can use? I believe I have more to bring to the table in a new coin. This is due to the fact I am not 100% confident in all my own coding abilities and so with the development of a new coin there can be setup fund addresses and the such to raise funds for developers who can hire and work out new coin features they may not have been able to do. I believe I can code and manage a coin well but not so many brand new features on my own. You should provide some more information about the coin and your plans and how many option you wan to give for developers, investors etc.
I have PM'd you the information. How are you going to contract out these features if you are paying them in the Coin you want to make? Then they would sell for BTC and drop the market price and if they could already do these things, why would they need the Coin if they can just do it themselves? That is all included for those who want to get involved, there is already a plan set out. People would use the coin not just for the coins features but for it's uses. Also it will have a number of features all in combination I don't think one coder could do alone.

I'll cut you some slack because of your standing here but this endeavor doesn't seem earthshaking nor interesting in the least. Couple hundred bucks for an alt, yet obscure initiative, seems feeble atm. Your move.
Fair enough, I just thought I might be able to get a few investors as I feel as though a profit for all investors will be easy to reach (I am putting some of my own btc into this) and would get a descent result from the whole project. It is nothing super interesting or new but I feel as though everyone can make a bit. Feel free to send over some information. I will treat any related PMs as if they are under an NDA. Done, anyone else interested?
