I came across this last week, god knows about the rig, could be complete twaddle..but the payment model looks a way things could work well for the future. Half up front, half on delivery? http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-1.html Compo looks fair for the hosted guys, for sure BFL wouldn't dream of ever doing anything like that. I think this is a steep learning curve on the basic logistics for KnC and next time around will be pretty much flawless. If there is a gen 2 and it's worth buying. looked at the above site musta missed something those we're up front prices after a discount imho (prob due to knc news this week)...still pre-orders although the price on the 2ph was the same as a current Jupiter for nov 15th delivery they state a feb 2014 ship date interesting but again did not see a 1/2 down 1/2 on delivery link? again just saying (I am essentially clueless may have been right in front of me) Searing The discount was from the beginning of September (or even earlier). The "1/2 down 1/2" you will see after clicking at "Payment option" to reveal the list. I am answering here because it is interesting option for KnC, but for discussing Black Arrow's offer let's go to their own thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294197.0;all (all of it is worth to be read)

It's just the variance of the solo mining.

All the $ notes being counted here are false - they have the same serial number.

"Sirs, I ask again... Do we start shipping or start mining with all of it by ourselves?"

I see the thread is becoming a troll festival. While a delay or even a fail is still possible, it is quite possible KnC want to make us a great, nice surprise. No one spoils the surprise by announcing it earlier.
By the way, adding new pages to this thread won't make Jupiters get more GH/s (contrary to some belief). Also, it won't be a new forum record. Far from it. The LABCOIN thread is now the fastest growing. It has grown about 500 pages (sic!) during last two weeks. It means the 450 TH/s from Labcoin probably won't show this year.

There are routers with two or more external (WAN) lines, for instance DrayTek Vigor 2920n, 3200, 3900... They can balance load on the lines or use the second as a backup. Search for Dual-WAN or Multi-WAN.

The flow of 100TH dividends has grown.

Maybe it is the reason: They will be up on the store, but not for sale until they are in stock - no more presale items - its a condition of accepting credit cards.

A few corrections are needed: Black Arrow is from Shenzen, China (symbol: CN). Now their Prospero X-1 should have 100 GH/s for $269, and X-3 2000 GH/s for $4499. Bitmine.ch is from Switzerland (symbol: CH), not from Sweden (SE).
What does mean the red 'yes' in Tested/Shipping?

Set the " lower difficulty increase / jump" to more realistic 4% or even 5%.

Thank you, Black Arrow, for prompt and precise explanations. The answers increase confidence.
You have promised credit card payment option soon. Is a matter of days or months? I know a person who decided to buy elsewhere just because of CC available there and not here.

Black Arrow is currently selling the Minion as low as $1.99/Ghash
The Prospero (X-1) machine features a compact and stackable design, out of the box functionality, ethernet connectivity and friendly UI with a performance of 64 Ghash/second.
The Prospero (X-3) machine is designed for high performance mining, is fully rack-able and presents out of the box functionality, ethernet connectivity and friendly UI with a performance of 1300 Ghash/second.
Black Arrow Ltd are currently offering a 25% discount on all preorders paid in September and October. The sales price (after applying the advertised discount of 25%) for a Prospero X-1 is $239 and for Prospero X-3 is $3999.
Let's see. X-1: $239 / 64 GH/s = 3.73 Not $1.99 per GH/s. X-3: $3999 / 1344 GH/s = 2.97 (1344 is from the specification; X-3 should have 21 ASICs 64 GH/s each) Still not $1.99. Chips: $169 / 64 GH/s = 2.64 But there is a discount: Black Arrow Ltd will continue their customer reward scheme by offering the owners of the Lancelot mining devices from the previous line, the chance to upgrade to the Prospero line by returning their products in exchange for a further $300 discount [2].
[2] Lancelot machines credit can be used against up to 30% of the amount on pre-orders or against up to 50% of the amount on orders. This credit has no cash value.
$2.97 - 30% = 2.079 (2.0828 exactly, but quite close) $.64 - 30% = 1.85 However counting the discount is not fair. One would say BFL Single SC 60 GH/s was $699 because of FPGA upgrade. Where Black Arrow took the $1.99/GH/s from?

How does Paid Order Acceptance Confirmation email looks like? Has anyone got it?

For over a month there is still the same report "Failed production...". Anyone comes here and see "Failed production". It keeps the price low better than selling tytus' shares a while ago. How can the price be high if no official report about growing of the mine? (For instance "The mine reached successfully 65 GH/s and we aim 200 TH/s soon.") Maybe tytus wants to buy dumped shares?

I see 100TH is shown at BTC Guild as MegaBigPower team, having over 30 GH/s. EDIT: Of course, 30 TH/s

It's ignorance or spraying FUD.
Why ignorance? Someone here forgot to read business plan and understand it. The power requirements for 100TH-mine and hosting costs are so low, that it will be profitable long after any other currently available devices stop mining. In effect, total amount of dividend per GH/s is substantially higher than that of other devices.
Why FUD? To buy shares cheaply. If one would like to sell his shares, he would not actively depreciate them by moaning here.
Hint: Look who sells his shares cheap - big fishes or small ones? Big fishes can count and they fear no such a FUD. Only those who can't count are panicking.

Not quite the last place. No one but August customers were allowed before 100TH. The shareholders of 100TH are rewarded for the delays with an additional 100 TH/s gear towards a total of 200 TH/s. It's a brilliant solution. It seems Bitfury himself will have less chips for his private mine, but a good reputation is more important for him.

Transisto, did you ever read the 100TH-mine business plan? ( http://picostocks.com/businessplan/19) From page 5: The 100TH-mine project is managed by Dave Carlson, Maciej Kaźmierczyk and Leszek Rychlewski. Leszek is known here as "tytus", Dave as "buzzdave". Why you ask tytus to post, while you ignore buzzdave posts? Especially when it is buzzdave who is building 100TH right now.

Hopefully OrSoC have all their DRAM in stock for their SO-DIMM embedded Linux systems: The Korean press reports that a huge explosion and fire in Hynix's fabrication plants 1 and 2 in China may put DRAM shipments on hold for the foreseeable future. Hynix is responsible for about 30% of the world's DRAM production.
More on: http://news.idg.no/cw/art.cfm?id=1F7BAFAD-A8EA-72BF-E41ABEB0A9EB98B9Why DRAM??? Hynix has been repurposing the fabs for NAND production instead of DRAM, and reports say the explosion occurred when new equipment was being installed.

Take it easy. It's only the web server which is out of order. And for 1.5 day, not 3.
